About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the College as Head of the Chief Executive’s Office. This pivotal role ensures the smooth running of the Executive Office and provides high-level strategic and operational support across the College. You will work closely with the Chief Executive, President, Vice Presidents, Executive Directors, and senior leaders, helping the College achieve its mission of improving women’s health care worldwide.

 No two days are the same and, as lead of the Executive Support Team, you will be part of a collaborative, values-led team that enables leaders to focus on strategic priorities. Responsible for ensuring the Executive office runs smoothly, you will be instrumental in ensuring decisions are well-informed, governance processes are effective and stakeholder relationships are strengthened.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Chief Executive’s Office team to deliver high-quality support

• Provide strategic and operational advice to the Chief Executive and senior leaders

• Produce and quality-assure CEO reports, briefings and presentations and oversee forward planning and scheduling of priorities

• Manage CEO-led committees and groups including coordination of CEO and President's travel

• Oversee budget, planning, projects and events led by the Chief Executive

• Act as a key contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and engagement.

About you

TRAIN is a youth work charity based in South Oxfordshire. We support young people aged 10 to 18 in Didcot, Wallingford and the surrounding areas, especially those who are under-served.

Young people in our communities are facing complex challenges. Mental health struggles, pressures at school, family instability and the impact of poverty can leave them feeling isolated or overlooked. Too often, they don’t have access to the right support at the right time. TRAIN exists to change that. ABOUT THE ROLE

As Fundraising and Communications Coordinator, your main focus will be trusts and foundations: researching opportunities, writing persuasive applications and producing clear reports. You’ll also play a part in growing support from corporates, community fundraising, individual donors and major gifts, helping to build a broader base of income over time.

Alongside this, you’ll lead on communications. That means keeping our website and social channels current, producing supporter newsletters, and sharing our story more widely through PR and campaigns. You’ll help make sure the difference TRAIN makes for young people is seen and understood by funders, partners and the local community.

It’s a hands-on role, well-suited to someone who enjoys writing, building relationships and juggling different projects. You don’t need to be an experienced fundraiser — we’re open to people with transferable skills, whether from corporate, public or third sector backgrounds. What matters most is that you can communicate clearly, organise your workload, and are motivated by making a difference for young people.

You’ll report directly to the CEO and work closely with the rest of the team. This is a part-time role of approximately 30 hours per week, which can be worked flexibly. The role is based in Didcot with hybrid working, but for the right candidate we will consider a fully remote arrangement.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

• Salary: £28,598 - £31,022 FTE (pro-rated, depending on experience)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Fundraising (approx. 80%)

• Pipeline and planning – work with the CEO to keep a clear fundraising plan, with trusts and foundations as the main focus alongside manageable growth in corporates, community, and individual giving.
• Trusts and foundations – research prospects, build a live pipeline, and write strong, tailored bids. Prepare accurate budgets and gather evidence from the team to strengthen proposals.
• Reporting and stewardship – deliver timely reports, thank funders and donors well, and manage renewals and uplift opportunities.
• Relationship development – nurture links with local businesses, community groups and potential major donors. Prepare simple proposals and support fundraising events or activities as needed.
• Systems and compliance – maintain accurate records of applications, deadlines and outcomes. Ensure fundraising activity is compliant with GDPR and charity regulations.

Communications (approx. 20%)

• Supporter communications – produce engaging newsletters, updates and thank-yous that connect donors and partners with TRAIN’s impact.
• Digital presence – update the website and social media channels with accurate, timely content that reflects TRAIN’s work and values.
• PR and profile – share stories with local media, partners and networks. Ensure TRAIN’s messaging is clear, consistent and accessible.
• Community engagement – promote TRAIN’s profile, youth offer, brand and presence in the community.

General

• Work closely with the CEO to align fundraising and comms priorities.
• Collaborate with youth work staff to gather stories, quotes and data that demonstrate TRAIN’s impact.
• Represent TRAIN at meetings and community events.
• Contribute to the life of a small, collaborative team.

What matters most is that you can write clearly and persuasively, build relationships with people, and organise your workload to meet deadlines. The Trust works with partners, local communities, and volunteers to deliver a wide range of projects including river restoration, reduction of flood risk by Natural Flood Management techniques, river monitoring, volunteer events (eg river clean-ups/invasive species control and citizen science), community engagement and education events, farm advice/plans and biodiversity net gain. The Trust continues to evolve to meet the increasing challenges of protecting and enhancing rivers and waterbodies in the catchment.

We are seeking a Finance and Governance Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team and lead the Trust’s finance, governance, and back-office functions. This is a pivotal role focused on ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and effective charity governance. While not involved in field-based project delivery, the Finance Manager plays a strategic role in supporting the organisation’s mission by enabling robust financial planning, reporting, and operational support. You will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Board of Trustees, and project teams to ensure the Trust remains financially resilient and well-governed.

The post holder will be home based with travel throughout the Mersey catchment. The applicant will need to live within or close to the Mersey catchment to facilitate regular travel to meetings. Remote working from other parts of the country cannot be considered for this role due to the need for regular face-to-face interactions.

Essential

• A financial control and reporting background, qualification or qualified by experience. 
• Experience of organisational governance, ideally with knowledge of UK General Accounting Practice and Charities regulations.
• Experience of financial and management reporting within a small to medium-sized organisation.

General notes

Key Responsibilities 

Leadership & Operations 

• Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth running of all charity functions.

About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to take a senior leadership role at North London Open Spaces, and directly contribute to and make a meaningful impact in the conservation and protection of these cherished green spaces. 

As a member of the senior management team, the successful candidate will serve as the primary subject matter expert at NLOS for nature conservation, conceiving and leading on initiatives, advising colleagues, and working collaboratively both internally and externally.  They will have responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day management of most of Hampstead Heath and all of Highgate Wood, and will also oversee a number of services that function across and support the four open spaces (eg, arboriculture and tree management, waste and recycling, conservation, and ecology).  

For the better performance of their duties, the Head of Conservation will be required to reside in accommodation that is provided on site and will be scheduled onto an on-call and duty manager rota with other colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for nature conservation at Hampstead Heath, Highgate Wood, Queen’s Park, and West Ham Park
• Oversee the day-to-day management of Highgate Wood and most of Hampstead Heath
• Oversee arboriculture / tree management, waste management, conservation, habitat creation/restoration and management, wildlife management, water body management, and climate change adaptation across North London Open Spaces
• Lead and motivate a team of 25-30 multi-skilled professionals committed to the conservation of these four sites
• Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, including environmental protection, climate change, nature recovery, wildlife protection, flood risk management, and health and safety.

About You

We are looking for a high-energy and innovative leader with a strong background in nature conservation, open space management, and team leadership. 

The successful candidate will bring:

• Demonstrable experience in managing complex public open spaces.
• Comprehensive experience developing and delivering biodiversity and land management programmes and projects in a range of habitats, ideally within an urban setting.

• Significant experience managing complex conservation work and projects across varied landscapes
• Significant knowledge of biodiversity and wildlife management, including land and water management.

• Strong experience managing a diverse team of professionals in an operational environment. 

• Experience of implementing legislation and policy relevant to biodiversity conservation, planning guidance, and site designation for wildlife conservation and species status designations.
• A highly creative, entrepreneurial and ‘can do’ approach to problem solving, with the ability to remain resilient in the face of challenges. 
• Strong quantitative skills and comfort interrogating and analysing data and budgets.

Your Role

As our Head of Alternative Provision, you’ll lead the development and delivery of our new Alternative Provision service, supporting young people who are struggling to thrive in mainstream education. This is a hands-on role at the start, shaping the model, refining plans, and directly managing delivery. As the service grows, your focus will shift to leading its further development, maintaining quality, and expanding provision across sites.

You’ll be part of our Senior Management Team and play a key role in building strong partnerships with schools, commissioners and families, ensuring we provide outstanding, therapeutic and accredited learning opportunities. Through these relationships, you’ll also help identify new ways for No Limits to support schools and families to meet young people’s needs.

Your key responsibilities will include: 

• Leading the development, delivery and quality assurance of our Alternative Provision service
• Overseeing service design, safeguarding, risk management and outcomes for young people
• Building and maintaining strong partnerships with schools, local authorities and commissioners
• Acting as subject expert on Alternative Provision, SEMH and EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance)
• Managing teams, budgets, quality assurance, and resources effectively

Role Terms

Salary: Band G £40,270 to £47,828 per annum, full time equivalent (based on 37.5 hours per week all year)
