About the role

Newnham College is seeking to recruit a dynamic and pro-active person to take on the role of Deputy Development Director to support the Development Director in the management and running of the College’s Development Office.  This role will focus on developing productive relationships with College alumnae and donors, provide oversight of all aspects of gift processing, data  management and prospect research and regular giving and provide line management and leadership for the Development team. Specific responsibilities for this role include the College’s donor stewardship and legacy fundraising programmes, and working with the Development Director supporting and developing relationships with existing and potential donors.

This is a permanent, full-time post, working 37.5 hours a week. The salary is paid at point 51 on the University’s single salary spine, the current value for which is £50,253 per annum. Flexibility is a requirement as a large number of events are in the evenings and at the weekend and some travel involving over-night stays may be required occasionally. The College offers a generous contributory membership of the USS pension scheme with an employer contribution rate of 14.5%, holiday entitlement of 33 days pro rata (inclusive of bank holidays), and there is a range of benefits, including free meals when on duty, free car parking where available and free use of the College’s gym facilities

 

About you

You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) and have substantial and demonstrable experience of working in fundraising or in a similar capacity and certainly in a complex, fast-moving environment.  Employing a professional and positive approach, you will be adept at building strong working relationships with College alumnae and dealing with a broad range of constituencies effectively and efficiently. You will be an experienced office manager and know how to get the best out of a team of keen professionals and possess the gravitas to deputise for the Development Director in her absence. You will be an experienced events organiser and manager, have an understanding of the Collegiate University and have a strong commitment to the ethos of the College.

Location: This is a remote UK-based role with regular travel to CST’s national and regional events, mainly in Birmingham and London. Candidates within reasonable travel distance to these locations are preferred.

Salary: £41,603 - £45,470 a year.

Pension: We offer a workplace pension and life assurance scheme. CST makes contributions equivalent to 10% of your gross salary.

The Professional Communities Manager leads the development, content curation, and operational delivery of CST’s 11 Professional Communities. These networks, events, and forums are a core benefit of CST membership and are provided free of charge to members.

This is a proactive, member-focused role that blends operational excellence with strategic content oversight. The postholder will work directly with community chairs, subject experts, community supporters, CST platinum partners and members to ensure that all communities are vibrant, professionally hosted, and deliver high-quality, relevant content.

The role also plays a key part in ensuring a joined-up approach to content across CST’s full range of activities, working closely with the professional learning and conference teams and partnerships to ensure alignment and maximise value for members.

Key responsibilities

 Strategic Development and Continuous Improvement

• Develop and implement strategic plans to strengthen the value, engagement, and content of CST Professional Communities.
• Set clear objectives and KPIs to monitor success and drive continuous improvement of community services.
• Regularly evaluate community activity, identifying ways to increase engagement, relevance, and impact for members.

Community Content Curation and Management

• Oversee the quality, consistency, and relevance of content across all 11 Professional Communities, ensuring alignment with member priorities and organisational objectives.
• Work in partnership with community chairs, subject experts, community supporters and CST’s platinum partnerships to proactively commission, curate, and quality-assure community content (e.g., webinars, blogs, resources, discussions).
• Work closely with the professional learning and conference teams to ensure a joined-up, coherent approach to content across CST activity, avoiding duplication and enhancing overall member value.
• Identify content gaps and work creatively, including drawing upon resources and contacts within the policy and partnership team to address them, ensuring a balanced and evolving programme across the communities.

Community Engagement and Facilitation

• Lead and facilitate virtual and in-person community events, ensuring professional delivery and high-quality member interaction.
• Support and brief speakers, chairs, and contributors to ensure a consistently excellent experience for members.
• Actively promote member engagement through community platforms and other channels, driving participation and interaction.

 Stakeholder Relationships

• Build and maintain strong relationships with CST members, community chairs, speakers, and supporters.
• Collaborate with internal colleagues across membership, communications, professional learning, policy, and conference teams to maximise the impact of community activities.
• Manage relationships with sponsors where appropriate, ensuring alignment with CST values.

Digital Platform and Event Management

Data, Insight, and Reporting

• Monitor and report on community engagement, content performance, and member feedback, using data to guide improvements.

Team Leadership and Development

• Manage, develop, and support the Professional Communities Coordinator, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Fundraising and Engagement who will work across the Trust to shape compelling campaigns, supporter and visitor journeys which mobilise the powerful potential which volunteering and community organising offers to take action for wildlife and to create a nature positive future. 

You will have the hunger to tap into the significant fundraising potential and the confidence to cultivate and develop positive relationships with high-level contacts in companies, grant funders and among high-net-worth individuals. We are also looking for someone with an outstanding track record in securing major strategic grant funding and corporate partnerships and developing major donor programmes to ensure our programmes of work provide showcases of how nature can recover in Yorkshire.

You will be joining an established extended leadership team who have been working together for a number of years, diverse in thinking style and with deep commitment to our cause and the Trust’s success. You will also work closely with our Trustee Board, which is vibrant, engaged and supportive, and manage a large Directorate of currently 65 staff.

Salary: £65-70,000

Location: Hybrid: home working with a minimum of one day/week in Teddington and regular visits to London shops

The Role

FARA is a unique charity retail organisation with a network of 39 vibrant shops across 26 London communities. Our shops are the heart of our fundraising efforts, providing the majority of income to support our work with vulnerable children and families in Romania. Stylish and community-driven, FARA shops offer a distinctive reuse second-hand retail experience while making a real difference.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing, Communications and Fundraising Director to lead our strategic communications and fundraising efforts, with a strong focus on growing the visibility and profitability of our charity shops.

This hands-on leadership role will shape and deliver integrated marketing campaigns, drive footfall and customer engagement across our retail estate, and build brand awareness for both our shops and charitable mission. You’ll work closely with shop teams, the central office and external partners to ensure our messaging is compelling, consistent and impactful. You’ll also lead the digital and fundraising strategy, helping us reach new audiences and deepen relationships with existing supporters. With a small but passionate team, this role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact across the organisation.

• Has senior-level experience in marketing and communications, ideally within charity retail or fashion.
• Can lead others to develop fantastic fundraising campaigns.

Prospectus is excited to be working with an award-winning independent theatre to appoint a new Audiences and Commercial Director. The theatre is a regional powerhouse in the world of theatre, creating new work from their beautiful, historic mill building in Berkshire. A national leader in artist development, the theatre has nurtured strong relationships with significant local philanthropic partners and has a large and engaged audience of supporters. 

This is a permanent, full time post based predominantly from the theatre in Newbury, with some remote working.

The Audiences and Commercial Director will oversee all communications, ensure an excellent experience for everyone engaging with the theatre and oversee the development of commercial opportunities and partnerships. You will work closely with the executive and strategic team to ensure that communications, customer experience and commercial opportunities sit at the heart of decision-making.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in marketing and communications, a passion for audiences and with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to develop and grow commercial activities and income. You’ll have the energy and leadership skills to help shape the future of the theatre, which will include playing a role in their capital development plans.
