We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as User Researcher (Innovation). We need you to deliver deep audience understanding and insight across the full innovation process, from discovery through to delivery and evaluation.

You'll use qualitative and quantitative research methods to uncover unmet needs, behaviours and motivations, ensuring new fundraising experiences and services are grounded in real supporter insight. You'll also contribute to sizing opportunity areas and the evaluation of concepts and pilots, helping the team learn what works, why and for whom, playing a critical role in embedding audience-first thinking into the development of new opportunities that support Cancer Research UK's vital work.

What will I be doing?

• Leading the design, execution and delivery of exploratory and generative user research to inform innovation projects using multiple methodologies including in-depth interviews, ethnography, observation and co-creation

• Synthesizing multiple sources of insight (qualitative, quantitative, behavioural and cultural) to identify unmet & emerging needs that inform opportunity areas, new value propositions and areas for experimentation

• Translating ambiguous opportunity spaces and broad challenges into clear, focused, and actionable research questions that guide discovery and concept development

• Distilling findings into actionable insight, developing clear and inspiring research artefacts (e.g. insight decks, maps, videos, provocations) and experience principles to influence thinking and shape concepts

• Monitoring relevant trends across culture, behaviour, technology and adjacent sectors and uses this information to inform idea generation and strategic planning

• Working closely with Innovation Service Designer to deliver actionable insight and support translation into service concepts and prototypes

• Designing and facilitating co-creation activities with supporters & the public to develop and refine early-stage ideas

• Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders across innovation, fundraising, digital and strategy teams to embed audience-first thinking from the outset of development

• Commissioning and managing external research partners when needed, ensuring alignment with project goals, budget, and quality standards

• Contributing to the development of tools, methods, and capability within the innovation team to support ongoing audience understanding.

What are we looking for?

• Significant hands-on experience of carrying out qualitative and exploratory research, with a strong grounding in human-centred or design research approaches

• Confident using techniques such as in-depth interviews, ethnography, contextual inquiry, observation, and co-creation

• Extensive experience of working in innovation or product development environments

• Experience of independently planning and delivering research projects from scoping through to synthesis and communication of findings

• Strong storytelling skills, able to communicate insight creatively and persuasively to diverse stakeholders, including c-suite

• Comfortable with ambiguity and iterative ways of working, able to move between detail and big-picture thinking

• Collaborative and empathetic working style, with the ability to engage and influence colleagues across multiple disciplines

About the role and you

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and talented senior practitioner to join the management team for a thriving service area, whilst continuing to work directly with autistic adults. In this role:

· You will oversee the development, delivery, and evaluation of specialist services for autistic adults who have sexually offended or are at risk of doing so.

· You will support our skilled practitioners in delivering an evidence informed and quality service.

· You will passionately enable and uphold the team’s commitment to excellent practice in the prevention of child sexual abuse.

This role requires clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of autism, sexual offending behaviour, and safeguarding. The postholder provide expert consultation, and will ensure that all our interventions are neurodiversity-informed, trauma-sensitive, and evidence-based. The goal of the project is to ensure that autistic people across Scotland are empowered to make better choices about their behaviour online and offline.

The postholder will also contribute to strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and service innovation, supporting the Lucy Faithfull Foundation’s mission to prevent child sexual abuse.

This post needs someone who is confident in project management, professional, proactive and outcome-focused, with exceptional communication and engagement skills. You will have the vision and operational management capabilities to maintain and advance support for our clients.

The post is funded by the Support Autistic Adults fund until March 2028 and the post is offered on a fixed term contract until this date.

The Sector Development Programme Manager will lead the design and delivery of a programme of support that strengthens, connects, and champions the local sector. They will oversee and enhance our existing offer while leading work to build the sector’s connective infrastructure.

This will include working collaboratively with our members to develop strong, inclusive networks that reflect their priorities, foster collaboration, peer support, and shared learning, and build a more unified and representative sector voice - ensuring that the insight and expertise of VCSE organisations meaningfully influence local systems, policy, and practice.

With a commitment to equity, collaboration, and community-led development, the Sector Development Programme Manager will work closely with partners, funders, and stakeholders to raise the profile of the local VCSE sector and advocate for the investment, recognition, and support it needs.

They will bring strategic leadership and programme management expertise, along with a deep understanding of the sector’s role in tackling inequalities and driving social change. Please note that this role can be offered on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of three days per week in the office. As an organisation rooted in community, we believe that regular in-office presence is important to foster collaboration, connection and team cohesion.

5 billion people do not have access to safe, affordable surgical and anaesthesia care when needed. Can you help us address this neglected area of global health? 

Surgery and anaesthesia have a fundamental and growing impact on global health outcomes. Surgical intervention could address over 30% of the global burden of disease, and yet the poorest 33% of people receive just 3.5% of all surgery. Post-operative mortality rates 1,000 times higher than in some high-income countries can be found in parts of the world where surgery and anaesthesia have been neglected, and in some countries as many as 90% of anaesthetic departments do not have the equipment to provide a safe anaesthetic for a child. 

With 142 Member Societies made up of anaesthesiologists in 151 countries, the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA) is uniquely placed to influence these inequalities and help ensure universal access to safe surgery and safe anaesthesia.

As Governance Manager you will be responsible for delivering a high quality, professional, and effective governance service across the Federation and associated entities. You will work closely with our CEO, Governance & Programmes Officer, Board and other volunteers and leaders as required to deliver a number of key governance activities. This includes virtual and in-person meetings of the WFSA Board, Council, and General Assembly.

You will contribute to the expanding governance functions of the Federation family, with a focus on streamlining processes, improving organisational efficiency, and enhancing leadership communication and collaboration. There may also be a degree of mentoring and support for some of our smaller Member Societies wishing to improve their own governance functions. 

The role necessitates building effective working relationships across WFSA, including with Board, Council and Committee members, as well as the Secretariat (what we call our staff team).

Hybrid working is offered with up to three days per week able to be worked remotely and two days spent in our small office in North London. The role will involve some international travel and evening/weekend hours at times. 

WFSA is registered as a legal entity (an association) in the Netherlands. Through this Dutch registration, WFSA also holds not-for-profit status with tax exemption in the USA (known as: 501(c)3 status). The Federation is headquartered in the United Kingdom. Since 2016, WFSA has also had a separate humanitarian arm, “WFSA (UK)”, which is registered as a charitable company in England & Wales. In early 2025, a further related association was set up in Switzerland; this focuses on world congress delivery and fundraising from a European market.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Partnerships Manager to work as part of our Fundraising Team across Rethink Mental Illness and Mental Health UK.

We are looking for a dedicated Partnerships Manager to join our passionate team of fundraisers. The successful post-holder will drive new partnership opportunities and develop long-standing partnerships for both Mental Health UK and Rethink Mental Illness. 

With extensive experience in charitable corporate partnerships, the Partnerships Manager will use their creativity and innovative skills to develop and deliver sector-leading partnerships at both mid and high value level and undertaking specific income generating and comms projects in relation to flagship partnerships. You will have some responsibility for seeking new and exciting partnership opportunities and drive their delivery and growth to strategically support our work across the UK.

You’ll have cultivation and stewardship skills to build and maintain your own pipeline, understand and translate trends in the market, and have a track record in influencing internal and external stakeholders to grow and diversify partnerships income.

BookTrust, the charity that champions the power of reading, is seeking a Head of Fundraising in a new senior role to oversee the strategic development and management of their voluntary income, to help them deliver their goals to shape a national reading culture.

BookTrust is the UK’s largest children’s reading charity, reaching over 1.3 million children and families across England, Wales and Northern Ireland each year and delivering evidence-informed programmes that make a measurable difference to children’s reading behaviours. Their work is rooted in the belief that every child deserves the chance to enjoy reading and all the lifelong benefits it brings. In recent years, the charity’s work has focused on helping children from low-income and vulnerable family backgrounds to become regular readers.

The Head of Fundraising will be responsible for stewarding an existing portfolio of major statutory and voluntary funders, and managing BookTrust’s high value and individual giving portfolio. This includes trusts and foundations, statutory funders and corporate partners from the publishing sector and beyond, from Waterstones to Build-A-Bear. The post-holder will build on significant fundraising growth over the last three years, and will work to further grow and diversify fundraising income to meet the goals of the charity’s recently launched 2025-2030 strategic plan.

The successful candidate will be engaging, experienced and have a proven record across high value fundraising (with a preference for major donor/philanthropy, trusts and corporate partnerships), as well as having a good knowledge of Individual Giving.

They will have experience of operating at a senior leader level with a charity, with responsibility for liaising with, and reporting to, the SLT and the Board, and will be able to show demonstrable success in achieving personal and team income targets.  Commercially and politically astute, candidates will also be emotionally intelligent and natural collaborators, willing to work with others on bringing income generation ideas to life in an organisation with a diverse funding model including mixed models of trading and philanthropy.
