SPEAR is a lifeline to hundreds of people each year who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness across six London boroughs. We provide essential outreach support, a variety of accommodation options, tenancy support services and vital health programmes. In 2024 we supported 804 people experiencing homelessness. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Fundraising Manager to lead and grow our corporate giving and partnerships income stream. Corporate Giving at SPEAR comprises just over 20% of our fundraised income, with a mix of direct giving, local COY partnerships and employee fundraising. This is a key role within the Fundraising and Engagement team, responsible for developing and managing relationships with corporate partners to generate sustainable income and deepen engagement with SPEAR’s mission.

Job Purpose

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for strategic and operational oversight of the effective delivery of the Creating Community Connections Pilot, ensuring the successful delivery of the pilot project, balancing the demands of supporting the various partnerships between funders, providers, and stakeholders to collectively deliver the required impact and ensure contract compliance.

Creating Community Connections is a three-year Domestic Abuse (DA) pilot Project, funded by HMPPS. The project is led by a partnership of women’s centre providers - Women in Prison, Anawim, Together Women, and Nelson Trust and aims to connect women in prisons with vital specialist community support services across the country, especially women's centres and organisations providing support around DA. By connecting prisons and women in custody to a network of local women’s services, we hope to aid resettlement and support engagement with holistic support to meet women’s needs, address root causes of offending, improve outcomes on release and intercept cycles of trauma, disadvantage, and abuse, with a particular focus on DA services. The project will ultimately support women who have experienced domestic abuse and work with them so that their experiences do not negatively influence their opportunity of successful resettlement back into the community.

Key Responsibility Areas

1. To lead and take accountability for the delivery of the Creating Community Connections (CCC) project.
2. To actively engage with funders, stakeholders, delivery partners and the internal team(s), to build a solid understanding of the CCC Project.
3. Provide effective leadership to direct reports, fostering a positive, supportive and collaborative team culture.
4. To have oversight on a cross-organisational basis of leading practice in project management methodologies, tools and techniques advising teams and colleagues on suitable approaches to ensure the effective delivery of a range of diverse projects and programmes.

Prospect Research Officer
Our client is an astounding group of professionals who believe that people’s sight matters. They have ambitious growth plans to increase the investment they are able to make in life changing eye health by supporting the work of a specialist eye hospital and its academic partner and funding innovative research, equipment, patient care and training through the delivery of innovative programmes of fundraising work. The prospect research officer will develop and maintain a healthy prospect pipeline in order to provide the philanthropy team with an appropriate number and quality of qualified prospects across individuals, corporate, and trusts and foundations. The officer will produce insightful background research on current and prospective donors using financial, biographical, corporate and philanthropic information from trusted sources and compliance with GPDR and data protection laws. Reporting to the prospect research manager, they will regularly review the prospect research strategy in response to changing internal requirements.

The selected candidate will have experience with and understanding of the principles of philanthropy, fundraising practices, donor motivations and wealth indicators and will have experience of conducting structure background research on HNWIs, company Directors, and/or family Trust and Foundation Boards. This person will also have experience of producing accurate overview research on donors and prospects and will have the ability to help manage systems to support prospect pipeline management.

The Ancient Tree Forum (ATF) is seeking a motivated and organised Technical and Engagement Officer to join our small, friendly and flexible team. The Role

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, the Financial Controller will lead IIED’s core finance operations, ensuring integrity in financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and sound financial controls. As a key member of the Finance Leadership Team, you will manage financial operations, audit, balance sheet oversight, and regulatory compliance, while driving improvements in systems, processes, and reporting.

You will lead and mentor a team of finance professionals covering financial accounting, treasury, transactional finance and statutory compliance, and work closely with colleagues across programmes and operations to ensure strong financial stewardship and timely, accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities include:

- Lead and oversee all financial accounting and finance operations
- Ensure statutory compliance and audit readiness
- Strengthen internal controls and financial policies
- Manage treasury and cashflow
- Manage all tax-related obligations
- Support global distributed workforce
- Drive finance systems optimisation and process transformation
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team

About You

To be considered as our Financial Controller, you will need to be:

- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role, ideally within the charity, NGO, or international development sectors.
- Strong technical knowledge of financial accounting, statutory reporting, and UK charity accounting standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate a finance team.
- Experience managing audits, regulatory compliance, and risk management in complex organisations.
- Excellent financial systems skills and experience improving processes and controls.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across finance and non-finance teams.
