We are recruiting for a Director of Finance who will also act as Company Secretary; based at our office in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the charity, whilst leading the development of our financial strategy and aligning it to our objectives. It’s a really exciting time to join us as we begin to embed our new five-year strategy and the successful candidate will be part of this transformational change. You will also liaise closely with the Board of Trustees being responsible for financial planning, oversight and reporting regulatory compliance.

We would like you to:
- Lead the defining of new strategy projects to deliver our long-term strategy
- Lead the delivery of complex strategy projects, collaborating with both senior and junior stakeholders across the organisation to achieve desired project goals and outcomes
- Lead the planning, development and drafting of complex reports, facilitating input from senior colleagues, communicating complex ideas and proposals effectively to inform decision-making at the executive level.

Working in a hybrid way, you’ll be attached to either our Birmingham, London or Manchester office and will report to the Head of Strategy. In line with our current ways of working, you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 1 day a month, in addition to team days and this may be reviewed by Ambition.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
To succeed in this role, you'll have proven experience of initiating and delivering projects. You'll also have a track record of independently approaching complex problems in a structured way, leveraging evidence, business and financial acumen, and logical reasoning to support strong recommendations.
Our successful candidate will be a strong quantitative thinker and proactive relationship and stakeholder manager. It's essential that you have proven experience of producing papers with impact independently for Executive Committee and Board of Trustees stakeholders.

Job Purpose
To support of Habitat GB’s vision of a decent home for everyone, the Director of Retail is accountable for the successful introduction of a new home improvement retail store to Great Britain called Habitat ReStore, which sells donated home furnishings, appliances, and renovation materials. Habitat has already successfully introduced ReStore to other parts of its global network, including in the USA, Canada and Ireland, with all proceeds helping us ensure more people have access to decent homes.
The Director of Retail provides senior and strategic leadership for Habitat GB’s retail strategy, and for the entire ReStore operation. Key responsibilities include the planning, implementation, and monitoring of the impact of ReStore in Great Britain, such as income generation, brand awareness, partnership development, community engagement and outreach. The Director of Retail is also responsible for leading a high performing team to manage the ReStore footprint in Great Britain, and working collaboratively across Habitat GB, the international Habitat network (HFHI), and with external partners.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Retail works to ensure the impact, sustainability, diligence and productivity of the organisation, including engaging in organisational transformation, within the framework of a robust people and culture approach.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Strategic development & leadership:
Provide senior and strategic leadership for end-to-end retail operations.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial and profit-driven strategy aligned with Habitat GB’s mission and goals.
- Continue to identify and maximise the opportunities, revenue and profit presented by the commercial operations of Retail as well as volunteering, community engagement and other programmes, working in collaboration with colleagues in the Programme Delivery and Fundraising & Partnerships teams.
- Working collaboratively across Habitat GB, review the commerciality of the wider charity and develop commercial projects capable of delivering efficiencies and increasing income which create increased support for the charity’s beneficiaries.
- Work with the Director of Finance, Operations & Compliance and other colleagues to ensure effective and efficient commercial delivery whilst taking accountability for establishing and maintaining appropriate delivery frameworks and governance.
- Lead and empower all ReStore colleagues to maximise income and profit from all Retail and sources (including online) whilst ensuring that costs are contained within budget.
- Lead the development of a plan for expansion of future ReStores.
- Work closely with the Director of Programme delivery and other colleagues to design, deliver and grow community-based outreach programmes connected to ReStore.
- Design and implement effective strategies and processes for programme implementation, including resource allocation, scheduling, and monitoring of progress.
- Ensure programmes are accessible, inclusive, and culturally sensitive to provide the best possible support to target communities.
Leadership of ReStore operations:
- Retain an oversight of new and ongoing commercial operations, including sales, marketing, donations, pricing and operational excellence.
- Monitor and analyse external market trends and competitor activities (not restricted to the UK) to identify and accelerate sustainable opportunities for growth.
- Support all ReStore communication and marketing using the charity’s comms channels, ensuring optimum strategy & planning, prioritising key areas of operational focus (including store opening, stock donations & volunteering) & shared annual Communications and Brand priorities.
- Develop and lead on building strong productive relationships with external suppliers including builders, designers, till suppliers, utility companies, etc. to ensure ReStore delivers on new store openings expectations and all stakeholder engagements.
- Oversee leasing activities including prospecting, negotiating, and ensuring execution of lease agreements. Negotiate terms and conditions that are favourable for our budget and needs.
- Coordinate property maintenance and repairs including shop renovations and fit out.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in all commercial activities.
- Ensure excellent risk management, including the identification and mitigation of commercial risks, implementing appropriate controls and safeguards.
- Measure and communicate the social and environmental impact of commercial activities.
External representation and strategic partnerships development:
- Represent Habitat in Great Britain and, where required, internationally. Work closely with the National Director and others on brand awareness, influencing & engagement opportunities, increasing visibility with partners, communities and other collaborators.
- Work collaboratively with the Fundraising & Partnerships team to support or lead high quality partnerships and strategic relationships.
- Work closely with other teams to ensure the development of high-quality proposals, propositions and reports which leverage opportunities across institutional and non- institutional prospects related to ReStore and contribute to our credibility as a trusted and impactful organisation.
- Be proactive in responding to external challenges as well as opportunities to raise the profile and impact of HFHGB.
- Ensure the organisation, its mission, strategic aims, services and products are consistently presented positively to relevant stakeholders. Act as an advocate for the organisation. Promote and enhance the charity’s position externally and develop and maintain good relations and effective networks with relevant stakeholders.
Performance management, reporting and monitoring:
- Set ambitious yet achievable revenue targets and other KPIs, monitoring progress effectively, taking proactive steps to meet and, where possible, exceed financial goals.
- Work with the Senior Leadership Team to oversee the active management of the National Strategy through the co-development of a new Performance Framework for the organisation, ensuring it is robust, strategically aligned, and balances prioritisation and focus with innovation and adaptability. Represent relevant areas of performance in governance forums, including Board level.
- Develop and manage the Retail department's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Coach staff on their commercial acumen, to nurture the teams in how to make the best financial decisions at their level of responsibility.
- Work closely with the Director of Finance, Operations & Compliance to track performance, and contribute to high quality reporting, income forecasting and budget management.
- Measure and communicate the social, financial and environmental impact of commercial/retail/outreach activities.
- Lead and support report to external partners, donors and other stakeholders.
Leadership and management:
- Build and lead a high-performing and ambitious team, inspired to implement and grow the ReStore brand in Great Britain, with a core focus on positive impact in ling with our national strategy.
- Manage, motivate and develop team members. Ensure regular 1-2-1s are held, set individual objectives, encourage a culture of giving and receiving feedback, where kindness and ambition support the progression of people and plans.
- Lead the development of a Volunteer Management programme for ReStore in line with sector-wide and Habitat for Humanity best practice. Including recruitment, onboarding, training, experience, engagement and communications. Ensure ReStore staff are supported to deliver outstanding volunteer management and build in regular feedback mechanisms.
- Working closely with the Head of People and others, support the ongoing development of a strong safeguarding culture throughout the organisation.
- Lead the development and monitoring of a safeguarding plan for all ReStore operations and programmes, including policy, protocols and training for volunteers and ReStore staff.
- Role model our values in line with Habitat GB’s inclusive approach to people and culture.
Organisational Leadership:
- Support the National Director in leading the organisation to deliver Habitat GB’s strategy and vision, acting as a collaborative and supportive member of a shared leadership team.
- As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, provide oversight of organisational priorities, productivity, performance, risk and due diligence.
- Be an active leader across the organisation, collaborating effectively with teams, and contributing fully to organisational wide initiatives and opportunities.

Person profile:
- Significant retail leadership experience, ideally within a charitable, purpose-driven or social enterprise environment.
- A proven track record of leading teams to success, driving sustainable growth and profitability in a retail environment.
- Skilled in building strong relationships with diverse types of external partners, donors, volunteers, staff and stakeholders to achieve business and community-focussed impact objectives.
- Understands relevant legal and compliance requirements, with a track record of successful management across a similar operational platform.
- Experience managing safeguarding compliance in a similar operational environment.

Purpose of Role
IBP seeks a Director of Fundraising to drive our organization's resource development and financial sustainability. Working at the highest levels of the organization, this leader will develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure multi-year, multi-million-dollar commitments from major international donors. The ideal candidate brings demonstrated success in diversifying revenue streams and building strategic partnerships, along with the ability to both envision ambitious fundraising goals and execute detailed plans to achieve them.

Direct and Indirect Team Management (25%)
- Resource Allocation and Budgeting: Oversee the fundraising budget, ensuring resources are allocated to high-impact activities based on data-driven decision-making. Collaborate with the Director of Finance and Operations to ensure proper handling of donations, reporting and forecasting.
- Team Building and Development: Recruit, train, and retain a high-performing fundraising team, setting clear roles, responsibilities, and success metrics. Work with the fundraising working group and staff across the organization to strengthen fundraising activities.
- Performance Management and Reporting: Track and report fundraising performance metrics to executive leadership and the board, using analytics to optimize outcomes.
- Developing Internal Talent: Mentor fundraising and program staff in relationship management, donor communications, and strategic planning, while fostering leadership development.
- Building Cross-Functional Capacity/Culture of Philanthropy: Equip senior leaders and program teams with the knowledge and tools to contribute to fundraising efforts, including impact reporting and donor engagement training.

As we start to deliver on our new funding portfolio we established a new Portfolio Development Team to sit at the heart of the Fund’s England directorate. This team sets the direction for our funding, ensuring our whole funding portfolio is delivering on our four community-led missions; our commitment to take an equity based approach to tackling inequality; and our ambition to be more than a funder.
England Portfolio Development Team
The permanent England Portfolio Development Team is taking forward the new England portfolio, ensuring we are delivering impact through our current funding portfolio whilst also looking to the future and developing new funding initiatives and ways of working to meet our 2030 vision.
This small team of eight works across the whole England directorate, the wider Fund, and externally with people, communities and civil society organisations who share our vision.
The team is responsible for:
- Setting the direction for our funding, including setting out the change we want to support in England’s communities through our funding and gathering insights to assess whether we are succeeding or not
- Thinking, exploring and leading on portfolio development and implementation of the new funding portfolio – ensuring we are delivering impact across our current funding portfolio (national, regional, small grants) and developing new funding initiatives and ways of working where necessary

As the deputy to the Director of Finance, the Financial Controller is a key finance leadership role responsible for the financial integrity of the organisations finances. Purpose of the role
The Head of Support Services is responsible for leading the delivery of The Vitiligo Society’s tailored support to patients with vitiligo and their families, and contributing to the strategic development of the organisation and its services.
Your Experience
We are looking for a candidate (or candidates) who either have a background in charity service management & safeguarding, or working in healthcare, nursing or mental health support.

People Management

Oversee the engagement of volunteers involved in the delivery of The Vitiligo Society’s services and input into the overall development and structure of volunteering across the organisation.

Build, and encourage, positive working relationships with other staff to ensure members receive relevant information at the right time and that communications reflect the lived experience of individuals affected by vitiligo.
Service Development & Delivery

Develop clear operational plans to deliver The Vitiligo Society’s organisational strategy across services.

Lead the Support Services Volunteer Team and grow The Vitiligo Society’s services in line with the charity’s overall growth strategy and priorities whilst ensuring quality, sustainability and safe operating practice remain at the forefront.

Be part of a rota of staff & volunteers answering the Society's helpline

Deliver direct support to individuals affected by vitiligo, supporting them through their diagnosis and treatment journey.

Manage the budgets for service delivery.

Identify opportunities to improve our current support and develop new activities with a particular focus on patient and family support.

Develop and embed robust monitoring and evaluation processes across all services and provide reports to the Charity Director, the Board and funders as required.

Champion an evidence-based research and insights approach to service development and delivery, especially Health Psychology.
Safeguarding

Appointed Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Lead on the development of delivery of The Vitiligo Society’s approach to safeguarding children and adults at risk including policy and process development.

Ensure that the outputs of all The Vitiligo Society’s services are in line with the relevant safeguarding legislation and best practice.
Wider Impact

To lead on the development and nurturing of partnerships with healthcare professionals, education professionals and voluntary organisations.

To lead on Technology Appraisal submissions with NICE and work with other healthcare regulatory bodies to ensure fair access for patients to the latest vitiligo treatment innovations.
Fundraising

Contribute to funding applications related to service development and delivery, as appropriate.

Contribute to reports to funders & donors, as required.

Develop and grow the Services Team’s income generation capacity by working in partnership with fundraising colleagues.

Attend The Vitiligo Society events when required to support staff and volunteers in the delivery of activities.
This is a two year fixed term role until 31 March 2027. Applicants need to be based in the UK. We will consider a job share if we have two strong candidates interested in a part-time position. Salary and benefits will then be pro-rata.

Campaigns and Advocacy: Our advocacy efforts seek to influence policy, reduce stigma, and improve services for families dealing with mental illness, helping to create systemic change.
We are looking for an experienced Partnership Development Lead to strengthen and expand partnerships helping to extend our reach and impact.
Key Responsibilites
This role will lead on the business development for the charity’s key initiatives. Reporting to the CEO, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Work with the CEO, Operations Director, and wider team to implement the strategy for securing income-generating partnerships for 2025-2029.
- Identify organisations and key individuals within them to develop new opportunities for partnerships across the UK.
- Build, develop and strengthen relationships that will lead to increased projects.
- Propose, build and develop long term strategic partnerships.
- Manage Our Time’s partner recruitment cycle from launch to contract, ensuring you meet goals in our target areas.
- Build relationships with health and social care providers, academic institutions and conference organisers to enable the charity to be represented when children and young people’s mental health is the focus.
- UK wide travel for in-person meetings with partners.
- Represent Our Time externally in meetings with potential partners.
- Work alongside marketing and communications, promoting products and services to potential new customers.
Requirements
- Proven track record (5–10 years) in relationship management, demonstrating the ability to cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships that drive growth.
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector (desirable), particularly in charities, social enterprises, or mission-driven organisations.
- Demonstrated success in converting enquiries into long-term relationships, showing a proactive approach to engagement and stakeholder retention.
- Ability to persuade and influence senior external stakeholders, including decision-makers in local authorities, educational institutions, and healthcare organisations.
- Strong business development acumen, with the ability to identify opportunities, develop proposals, and secure funding or partnerships.
- Strategic planning skills, including the ability to assess market trends, set goals, and develop effective strategies for scaling KidsTime Workshops.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clear and compelling messaging to potential partners, funders, and stakeholders.
- Outstanding interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with individuals and organisations at various levels.
- Knowledge of the commissioning environment within education, health, and social care (desirable), including understanding funding mechanisms and partnership opportunities.
- Strong negotiation skills, enabling the ability to secure favourable terms in partnerships and contracts.

Each team member plays a crucial role in advancing our charity's mission to support children and young people with a parent struggling with mental illness. In this role, you'll have the freedom to shape the charity's work, allowing you to see your ideas and efforts make a meaningful impact.
We are fully remote and meet in-person approximately 2 – 3 times per year in a range of locations easily reachable by public transport (recently London and York).
Our missions is for every child in the UK, who has a parent with a mental illness, will find the support they need, as early as possible.

Partnerships Executive (Interim)
The Partnerships Executive plays a key role in developing CST’s commercial relationships. Their primary responsibility is to secure conference exhibition sales to meet budget targets and manage all aspects of the exhibitor experience from prospecting to on-the-day support, to post-event communications. They also manage listings in the Directory of Services and work closely with the Partnerships Manager to support the prospecting process.
Reporting to: Partnerships Manager
Key responsibilities
1. Ensure that exhibition sales targets are met for each CST conference.
2. Maintain the CRM for commercial organisations, including creating and managing prospect groups and executing effective exhibition sales campaigns.
3. Create and maintain relevant webforms.
4. Provide excellent end-to-end support for exhibitors, including in person at larger conferences to ensure that all exhibitors’ needs are met on the day.
5. Gather feedback from exhibitors on the quality of their experience and report on what worked well and areas for improvement following each event.
6. Maintain and update marketing collateral to support CST’s commercial activities such as brochures, floorplans, briefings and manuals.
7. Cross-promote the Directory of Services to exhibitors along with other opportunities to work with CST where relevant.
8. Manage the sales and onboarding process for the Directory of Services, including overseeing the references, undertaken by a third party, sending out agreements and liaising with the marketing team on the promotion of new suppliers.
9. Support the Partnerships Manager in the development of the commercial pipeline for CST partnerships by holding initial meetings with new prospects and identifying opportunities for engagement.

About the Advocacy & Support Manager role
You will join a team managing Galop’s specialist advocacy services, providing support to LGBT victims and survivors of abuse and violence in the UK. This role holds the responsibility of the National advocacy & support team, you will be responsible for the line management and operational management of the advocacy & support service across the UK. You will work within the advocacy management team to deliver advice, support, and advocacy to thousands of LGBT victims and survivors of interpersonal abuse and violence each year.
You will remotely manage a team of specialist advocates and caseworkers that are based across the UK, providing needs-led support, information and advocacy to LGBT survivors of a range of violence and abuse. You will work with the Head of Advocacy and Support and other Advocacy and Support managers to ensure that survivors have access to timely, tailored support, while maintaining a high quality, consistent service, with a specific focus on remote support.
You will have an in depth understanding of violence and abuse that LGBT people are subjected to, including the causes, impact and barriers to accessing services. You will use your expertise to represent Galop with key stakeholders, advocating for the needs of the community and acting as a key Galop representative within a national landscape.
You will be responsible for ensuring that data collected about the service is consistent, thorough and appropriate in order to use for reporting, bid writing and evidencing the service provision offered. You will develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and ensure that the service is effectively demonstrating its impact. You will work with the Head of Advocacy and Director of Services to develop bids for new or continued funding for frontline services.
