Role Overview
Paragon Music is seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Manager to lead fundraising, oversee financial and governance functions, and support strategic growth. This is a pivotal role within the organisation, contributing directly to the sustainability and expansion of our inclusive music and dance programmes across Scotland and beyond.  The post-holder will initially focus on fundraising and business development before broadening their remit to include governance and financial management following a period of onboarding.

Key Responsibilities  

1) Membership and Engagement 

• Support the implementation of a membership engagement plan to help increase retention and highlight member value. 

• Help promote Imkaan’s membership offer and communicate its unique value to members. 

• Assist in managing communication channels and touchpoints for members. 

• Work with colleagues to ensure member voices shape Imkaan’s influencing work including through policy consultations, parliamentary events, and campaigns. 

• Support members to take part in key spaces (e.g. local partnerships, national advocacy forums, government consultations). 

• Help identify way for members to work together and ensure their priorities are reflected in communications.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with newer or underrepresented member organisations to ensure inclusive and equitable engagement. 

2) Member Services and Development 

• Help coordinate training sessions, and peer networks for member organisations. 

• Assist with supporting members' organisational capacity and sustainability planning across the membership base. 

• Coordinate day-to-day member engagement, responding to enquiries, providing information, and connecting members with relevant support 

• Maintain and regularly update the membership database, relationship records, and internal tracking systems 

• Organise regular member check-ins, surveys, and consultations to understand priorities and needs 

• Plan and coordinate member-only events and forums, including peer learning spaces, reflective practice sessions, and policy roundtables 

• Support the membership application, renewal, and onboarding processes. 

• Coordinate with the communications coordinator to draft and share member communications (e.g. newsletters, updates, briefings), ensuring clarity and accessibility. 

• Work with the communications coordinator to share member impact, case studies, and strategic updates 

• Liaise with other staff to coordinate support offers (e.g. training, regranting, capacity building) and monitor uptake. 

3) Sector Influence and Partnerships 

• Support work to raise awareness of Imkaan’s members among local authorities and commissioners. 

• Assist in engaging with stakeholders to contribute to collective influencing and sector development. 

• Track sector trends and identify opportunities for growth and service improvement. 

• Provide administrative support for activities linked to membership service delivery and sustainability.C 

• Contribute to Imkaan’s annual reports, AGM planning, and organisational development activities. 

• Attend team meetings, training, and supervision in line with Imkaan’s values and policies. 

• Gather and summarise member feedback to feed into learning reviews and organisational planning. 

• Support evaluation of how member engagement informs policy, advocacy, and systems change work. 

4) Grants Management 

• Coordinate the administration of regranting programmes to member organisations. 

• Support the application, selection, and allocation processes, ensuring transparency, fairness, and alignment with Imkaan’s values. 

• Act as the main point of contact for members receiving grants, providing guidance and support throughout the funding cycle. 

• Monitor grant compliance, gather reporting information, and liaise with the finance team to track spending and disbursements. 

• Work with the Executive Director/Operations Manager and funders to ensure effective delivery, reporting, and impact monitoring of grant programmes. 

• Contribute to learning from regranting activity, supporting reflective practice and continuous improvement. 

Person Specification 

Essential Experience 

• This post is open to Black and Minoritised women only as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010 (Occupational Requirement) 

• Strong understanding of intersectional feminism, anti-racism, and the political context for Black and Minoritised women’s organisations. 

• Proven experience in membership coordination or stakeholder engagement within the VAWG sector or related fields. 

• Experience in planning and coordinating both in-person and online events. 

• Experience administering grants, regranting programmes, or funding streams, including record-keeping, monitoring, and reporting to funders. 

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build trust across a diverse membership base. 

• Experience supporting or facilitating collective voice, advocacy, or influencing work. 

• Commitment to Imkaan’s values and to centring the leadership of Black and Minoritised women and girls.

We are working in partnership with Andover Mind, the charity has been working in the local area since 1984, and more recently in Romsey, Basingstoke and Aldershot, providing support, advice, and information for anyone affected by mental health distress.  They also deliver training and encourage local people to talk about mental health to help break down the stigma which surrounds the subject. 

A new three-year business plan was recently agreed, and its implementation is underway.

Andover Mind is now seeking to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer to lead the senior leadership team providing leadership, developing and implementing Andover Mind’s strategic and operational plans and leading on income generation, partnership and business development and for being an effective advocate for the charity and its beneficiaries.

Job Profile

The Trusts & Foundations Coordinator role is within the Trusts & Foundations team in CAFOD’s Integrated Funding and Business Innovation section. The post-holder will report to an International Programme Funding Officer Trusts & Foundations, (IPFOTF) and works closely with Trusts & Foundations and Institutional Fundraisers, the Major Gifts and Philanthropy team, other Fundraising & Participation teams and International Programme teams, in order to secure grants under £100,000 from Trusts & Foundations, Religious Orders and Catholic Associations. If you have some experience in Trusts & Foundations fundraising, coupled with experience of religious orders, enjoy working with a variety of people across an organisation and are passionate about making a difference in the lives of marginalised communities across the world, please do apply. 

Key Responsibilities 

Relationship management and cultivation  

• Responsibility for stewardship and development of a portfolio of mainstream grant-making trusts, personal/family trusts, Catholic/Christian trusts and Catholic religious orders and associations.

• Responsibility to re-engage lapsed trusts. 

• Work with the IPFOTF to develop appropriate strategies for cultivation, donation uplift, and approaches to prospective trusts and religious orders. 

• Prepare well-researched funding applications/proposals and produce timely reports. 

• Ensure all communications are appropriate to the needs of the funder. 

• Liaise with other team members in gathering relevant communication materials.

• Ensure that funders are appropriately invited to donor cultivation events and that relevant materials and other documentation are prepared as necessary. 

Prospect research 

• Conduct internal and external prospect research on donors/prospects using the internet, online databases and other sources, e.g. Charity Commission and Fundsonline, segmenting and prioritising as appropriate. 

• Carry out research on CAFOD projects and programmes available for funding/requiring funding and liaising with international colleagues for this purpose. 

• Engage with relevant media articles, particularly in the Catholic and religious media. 

Information management 

• Monitor on a regular basis the funding interests of charitable trusts, income and expenditure trends, information about trustees, application procedures etc. 

• Maintain up to date records of all communications with trusts and ensure that all information is recorded accurately on the database. 

• Keep up to date on external developments in trust fundraising and participate in the Institute of Fundraising Trusts Special Interest Group. 

Other 

• Contribute to other aspects of CAFOD’s work where necessary, including engaging in divisional and CAFOD-wide forums, as agreed with Head of Team. 

• Support CAFOD in ensuring an integrated approach to fundraising across our different income streams. 

• An essential requirement of all members of the Team is to keep donor information that is not in the public forum strictly confidential. 

• Attend and contribute to regular section, department and CAFOD-wide meetings and briefings.

About the team

The Media team strategically leads on both proactive and reactive media, supporting WaterAid’s fundraising, partnerships, brand awareness and political influencing & systems change strategic priorities. The team are responsible for outreach to a range of media in the UK and globally – across traditional, consumer and digital.

The team works with Country Programmes and work on global media outreach with WaterAid Member Offices, operate a 24/7 media hotline and manages areas of reputational risk.

The Media Team consists primarily of 4 functions – News, PR, Celebrity Ambassador, and Global News. The Interim role would manage a team of 11 people and three direct line reports. The Celebrity Ambassador function sits within the team but line management of the Celebrity & Influencer Lead is with the Global & UK Director of Communications.

About the role

As Interim you will lead and work with the Media team to explore and encourage new approaches including how we further maximise the digital media landscape.

The role is pivotal in working with key stakeholders across the organisation in fundraising, global adcoacy and campaigns, and the Communications leadership team, to ensure media strategies are not only aligned and integrated with strategic fundraising engagement and advocacy priorities – but also bold and innovative.

In this role, you will:

• Champion, inspire and lead a high-performing, highly motivated team.
• Line management of the Senior News Manager, Senior PR Manager and Global Media Specialist.
• Management of the Media Team budget, ensuring budget is being used for greatest impact.
• Ensure that media work is strategic, helping to build engagement amongst target audiences and aligned to organisational objectives specifically to amplify our advocacy, influencing and fundraising goals. Set and review performance against agreed indicators in order to measure impact.
• Lead the team to continue to build a reactive and opportunistic media presence by seizing media opportunities, generating stories and news angles, and creating timely, impactful, appropriate responses to drive relevance of WaterAid within target audiences.
• Build and maintain relationships with key journalists and target media, helping bring the water and sanitation crisis to a wider audience and establishing WaterAid as the sector leader in this area.
• Grow the capabilities and approach to digital PR within the team.
• Work collaboratively with the Communications Senior Management Team to set and ensure clarity on roles and responsibilities of the Media team, to foster an integrated approach.
• Work closely with colleagues across the WaterAid family (country programmes in particular) to advise and support on media work when required.

To be successful, you will need:

• Experience of leading, managing and motivating a Media team.
• Experienced manager of people with proven ability to manage and motivate others.
• Track record of designing and delivering influential and impactful media campaigns that achieve coverage in international, national, regional, trade and online media.
• Excellent news sense and an understanding of what makes a good story for different types of media and audiences.
• Understanding of the role that media can play in shaping the political and public policy agenda, and experience of working in this critically important area.
• Strong understanding of international development communications, marketing, fundraising and advocacy activities and how media activity fits with these and can complement and advance them.

Are you interested in an opportunity in the charity sector? Would you like to develop an understanding of internal processes and liaise with multiple teams in the organisation? Are you someone who likes to work with money, data and people? 

The post holder will contribute to ensuring the Supporter Donations Team (SDT) manages and administers supporter donation activity on behalf of CAFOD, providing a high level of supporter care while delivering within agreed service levels and Key Performance Indicators. SDT has the overall responsibility for managing and thanking all supporter donations to CAFOD made through a variety of channels and schemes. SDT works within the Finance and infrastructure group, liaises across all teams in CAFOD, and external service providers to ensure donations are processed within agreed service levels and quality standards. Due to the nature of SDT’s role, SDT has particularly close ties to CAFOD Fundraising activities and actively engages in our fundraising programmes and schemes. 

Accountability 

The post holder reports to the Supporter Donations Manager and will work alongside a team of Supporter Donation Assistants, collectively delivering the team’s key aims and responsibilities. 

Key Responsibilities 

Supporter Care: 

• Handle telephone, email and postal enquiries from supporters; identifying and resolving queries in a prompt, warm and sensitive way. 

• Provide phone cover to the Supporter Care team as required. 

• Provide Reception training to the Supporter Care team as required. 

Donations: 

• Accurately code donations received, ensuring agreed departmental procedures are followed. 

• Process, set up and administer instructions and payments through a variety of donations channels and schemes such as Online, Direct Debit, standing orders, BACs, Payroll giving schemes and online giving platforms. 

• Input and maintain data on CAFOD’s supporter database, ensuring high degrees of accuracy on our donor records.

• File and archive financial data, while adhering to strict audit controls. 

Gift Aid: 

• Understand Gift Aid and its application within CAFOD. 

• Assist with all aspects of tax-effective giving, in accordance with agreed procedures and priorities, including preparation of regular tax claims for submission to HMRC. 

Thanking: 

• Produce and dispatch letters to thank and acknowledge donations received. 

• Write bespoke letters of thanks to supporters to respond to exceptional donations and provide a personal touch. 

• Contribute to ongoing enhancement and improvement of supporter thanking

ROLE SUMMARY

We have ambitious plans and the Head of Fundraising will make a significant contribution to future growth; you will manage the Fundraising and Events team with oversight of income generation from various sources including major donors, individuals, trusts & foundations and a portfolio of events.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Head of Fundraising will contribute to upReach's mission by meeting financial targets, recognising when to make the fundraising ‘ask’ and leading the annual budget process. You will use clear, creative written communication to produce convincing cases for support, represent the charity at relevant networking events, work closely with the upReach Development Board and act as an ambassador for the organisation.

Reporting to the Director of Income Generation and External Engagement you will manage three direct reports and support individuals participating in the Future Charity Leaders Programme (upReach’s graduate scheme). You will work closely with  the Head of Partnerships, CEO, Programmes and Finance teams and other colleagues across the income generating and external engagement team.

The core responsibilities include: 

Leadership and strategy 

• Lead fundraising and philanthropy to realise financial targets (2025/26: £2.45m).

• Securing 5 and 6 figure gifts. 

• Inspire staff and volunteers to excel and achieve, champion the upReach values.

• Commit to the annual appraisal process and develop stretching, SMART OKRs (objectives and key results) to meet our strategic goals. 

• Deputise for the Director in their absence and play an key role in the Income Generation & External Engagement Leadership Team.

• Lead the strategic and operational planning process for the functional areas of responsibility and ensure the involvement of relevant stakeholders.

Working with stakeholders (internal and external) 

• Collaborate with colleagues to identify and secure all various income generating and profile raising opportunities, ensuring maximum impact and contribution from funders. 

• Lead, champion and model a culture of outstanding donor stewardship and supporter care; including best practice and behaviour. 

• Develop and foster effective relationships with key external contacts at all levels, e.g. donors, supporters, suppliers. 

• Make the fundraising ‘ask’ as and when appropriate, or support others to do so.

• Respond promptly to requests for information and action from supporters.

• Report and disseminate the key issues to emerge from supporter feedback. 

• Manage the complaints procedures for the department and conduct full investigation of all complaints received by the department.

Developing, maintaining systems and procedures 

• Determine and manage the operating systems needed to deliver activity and enable effective donor, supporter and volunteer relationship management.

• Ensure records in the CRM are up to date.

• Conduct analysis of data from across functions responsible for, drawing conclusions, making recommendations to the Director.

Major Donors and Individuals

• Work with the CEO, nurture relationships with donors including high net worth individuals maintaining the highest level of donor care.

• Research, identify and engage prospective donors to secure 5 and 6 figure gifts.

• Lead the team to grow and develop the burgeoning major donor portfolio. 

• Work with the Alumni Team to identify opportunities to sustainably grow the individual giving pipeline, including beneficiaries. 

• Develop a legacies strategy and oversee delivery of awareness campaigns.

Events

• Lead the team on the delivery of a sector-leading events portfolio, to include income-generating events, and the Student Social Mobility Awards (SSMA’s).

• Engage, steward and motivate key stakeholders including the Development Board, Patrons, potential event committee members and other high value volunteers to grow our network and deliver successful fundraising events.

Trusts, Foundations & Corporates

• Oversight of Trusts, Foundation & Corporate fundraising strategy.

• Work with the Senior Fundraising Manager to identify and build relationships with Companies, Trusts and Foundations which are mission and/or programme aligned.

• Collaborate with the Head of Partnerships to build strategic relationships with companies that grow philanthropic and commercial income. 

• Support the acquisition of new, multi-year philanthropic funders and existing donors.

Other

• Regular out of office work may be required in order that the organisation is able to deliver on its commitments to its stakeholders

• Some UK travel will be required from time to time

The Role

As Global Head of Finance, you will lead a small, dedicated international team, overseeing strategic financial planning, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance across UK and US entities.

As Senior Grants Manager, Environment and Communities, you will identify, assess, and manage grants that contribute to these evolving areas of interest. 

A particular focus of the role will be developing strategic grants and partnerships that contribute to Environmental Sustainability.  This is a developing area of interest, supporting activity that restores the natural environment and enabling practices such as nature friendly farming and community growing.  Current grantees include the Sustainable Food Trust, the Wildlife Trust, and local farmer clusters.  

The Foundation has recently launched a ‘Green Fund’ pilot, supporting Buckinghamshire grantees to deliver progress in environmental sustainability.  The role will lead on the delivery of this programme.

-Extensive knowledge and understanding of Philanthropy audiences (particularly high net worth individuals and corporates) including motivations for giving and the principles of major gift fundraising to include identification, research, solicitation and stewardship

-Strong track record of successful performance as a prospect/fundraising researcher, including experience conducting due diligence within the not-for-profit sector

-Excellent written and presentation skills and confident ability to deliver verbal and written proposals up to CEO / Board level

-Excellent knowledge of legal, regulatory and ethical environment of philanthropy fundraising, including General Data Protection Regulation

COMMUNITY HUB LEADER

Oasis Hub Woodview, Woodview Drive, B15 2HU

Full-time (40 hours per week, 1 FTE), Permanent Contract

Salary: £35,217 per annum

Oasis is looking for someone who can combine an entrepreneurial flair and excellent leadership skills to become the next Community Hub Leader at Woodview, Birmingham. 

The post holder will lead the development of the Hub, situated on the periphery of central Birmingham, serving the community of the Woodview estate, supporting the Oasis Academy and wider local community. The role will hold the vision of integrated community delivery, which will include a range of projects such as family support, volunteering, advice and support, community events.

This is a key role as you will be responsible for strategic oversight of the hub charity, ensuring the youth and community work supports the work of the academy, working alongside other local Oasis leaders such as the Principal, volunteers and members of the local community to develop a joined up local vision for the community.

Some of the specific duties of this role include:

· Establishment and coordination of a range of services such as family support, holiday provision, volunteering and community empowerment projects.

· Building supportive working partnerships across the community and various groups.

· Leading strategic development (e.g. comms, income generation, MEL)

· Planning, resource and coordinate the community plan, measuring impact.

· Working closely with the academy safeguarding team on Early Help and family support.

· Developing a team that can grow an Oasis Movement (e.g. engaging staff, volunteers and community workers).

This is very much a relational and project management role. As such, the successful applicant will need to demonstrate:

· Experience of leading community delivery and growing projects from start-up phase.

· Innovative use of resources and budget management to maximise funding.

· A thorough knowledge and understanding community work.

· An education to degree level or equivalent and /or relevant professional qualification.
