About the role:

The Senior IDVA will work within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process. This is a great development opportunity for an experienced IDVA looking to take the next step in their career. Along with regular case work, this role requires confident use of Modus in order to coordinate and ensure the quality of Duty, as well as the ability to work to policies and procedures and be able to prioritise effectively.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have an excellent understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women and children and of best practice within the domestic abuse sector and in working with women with children. As an experienced domestic violence advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, you will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis.

Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic violence and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision. You will be adept at juggling front line work and management responsibilities, with an ability to prioritise, work collaboratively and demonstrate innovation in time management and service delivery methods.

You will provide person-centred care and support to individuals with mental health and autism needs, enabling them to take part in all aspects of everyday life and enjoy a wide range of activities. You will have skills in positive communication and engagement, and will be able to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for the people we support. You will have the maturity to be able to work within a positive behaviour support framework, to accept responsibility and to grow in confidence as a skilled practitioner. You must be able to follow agreed guidelines and to work positively within a consistent and mutually supportive team.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will assist the management team to lead and supervise a team of Support Workers to implement individualised support, ensuring consistency and effective communication throughout. The Bury Intensive Support Service has been developed to provide a bespoke supported living service for adults over the age of 18, with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health and complex needs. The adults accepted into the service have been identified through the Transforming Care Agenda.

This service operates 24/7, using a trauma-informed and case-management model of care, to provide support and opportunities for increased independence for three adults. We have developed a new and exciting role of Support Coordinator to provide operational leadership of the service in a sensitive and dynamic way.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join the Refugee Migrant Centre as a Caseworker, authorised by the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA), formerly known as OISC. RMC is a well-established, award-winning regional charity, widely recognised for its impactful work with refugees and migrants.

For over 23 years, RMC has assisted thousands of refugees and migrants from 162 countries, helping to break down barriers to integration and enabling clients to become equal citizens. We provide a holistic range of services, from specialist legal advice to education and employment programs.

The successful candidate will join RMC’s Immigration department and play a key role in delivering free immigration advice and representation. This is an exciting time to join the team as RMC is expanding its infrastructure following significant growth in staff, activities, and turnover—rising from £776k to £2.8 million in the past five years.

RMC is regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) and is accredited to provide free immigration advice up to Level 3, covering cases from initial advice through to the First-tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal.

Our immigration services focus on assisting migrants (including undocumented migrants), refugees, and asylum-seekers in navigating the UK’s complex immigration legal system. We help clients secure the right to remain in the UK for themselves and their families, with a particular emphasis on human rights claims, family and private life applications, family reunion, settlement, citizenship, and applications under the EU Settlement Scheme.

Purpose of the Role:

Main duties and responsibilities

All Caseworkers (Levels 1 and 2) will be required to carry out the tasks shown below:

Casework and client care:

· To provide one-to-one specialist advice in immigration and asylum area of law

· To provide thorough, professional, high quality and timely casework and advice

Person Specification

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills- essential

· Accredited at IAA Level 1 or 2

Flexibility

The Leprosy Mission Great Britain (TLMGB) is a leading international Christian development organisation with over 150 years’ experience and is part of The Leprosy Mission worldwide family. TLMGB serves the poorest of the poor in 9 countries, raising funds and developing partner capacity to provide life-changing healthcare, training and job opportunities for people who have been excluded and rejected.

You will have at least two years’ work experience in either the not for profit or research sectors and have experience of coordinating cross-team initiatives, project cycle management and donor reporting. WE ARE SEEKING A GARDENER AND GENERAL ASSISTANT

Bishop's House is the residence of the Bishop of Chester and his family. The garden at Bishop's House extends to about half an acre, and is mainly laid to shrubs and lawn, with a herbaceous border and some climbing plants. The Bishop's House and gardens are used for hosting many events throughout the year.

About the Bishop

Mark Tanner has served as the Bishop of Chester since 2020. Prior to coming to Chester, Mark was Bishop of Berwick in the Diocese of Newcastle, following a number of years as Warden of Cranmer Hall, training church leaders and others. Mark has served in local churches in Ripon, Doncaster, Coventry, and on the Wirral, and done various forms of chaplaincy, including school and the Army.

What you'll be doing

The postholder will have no line managerial duties but will coordinate with various external bodies (e.g. tree surgeons) in collaboration with site managers. This includes upkeep and proactive management of the garden and curtilage of Bishop's House, including boundary fences, including the following responsibilities:

• General gardening tasks, including but not limited to mowing grass, hedge-trimming, pruning, weeding, planting and lawn care.
• Working in partnership with the Bishop, independently and under direction, to develop the garden space as desired.
• Assisting with functions at Bishop's House, both in the gardens and in official rooms. This may involve setting out furniture, helping to serve refreshments and such general duties as may arise.

Key role requirements:

• Qualification in gardening/horticulture or equivalent
• Full, clean driving licence and access to a car
• Competent handling and maintenance of garden tools
• Competent and safe use of garden equipment
• The ability to navigate competently with the assistance of a Sat Nav
• Competent manual handling skills (relating to lifting)
• Familiarity with basic Health and Safety and COSHH regulations

Your Salary

• A salary of £14,947.15 (FTE £27,759) per annum, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.

We are seeking a flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic Support Worker to deliver services for Young Carers aged 5–16. The role involves three key parts. The first is delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote wellbeing, reduce isolation, and give Young Carers a break from their responsibilities. The second is providing one-to-one support to help Young Carers manage challenges, access services, and prioritise their mental and emotional wellbeing. The third is leading outreach with schools, colleges, community settings and professionals to identify and engage hidden Young Carers. 

About The Role: 

You will work across two key age groups, 5–11 and 12–16, delivering and supervising activities, supporting events and trips, and providing behavioural management where needed. Alongside group activities, you will offer one-to-one support to individual Young Carers, ensuring they feel heard, included, and supported as they navigate the challenges of their caring roles. You will also deliver awareness training sessions, run stalls, and build partnerships in the community to identify and engage Young Carers. 

This is a part-time post (3 days per week). Flexibility is required, with regular evening and occasional weekend work.

Key Requirements Include: 

• Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable groups 

• Experience facilitating groups or activties 

• Ability to provide one-to-one support in a sensitive and empowering way 

• Strong communication skills with young people, families, and professionals 

• Reliable, punctual, and flexible 

• A strong understanding of professional boundaries and confidentiality 

• Willingness to work evenings and weekends when required
