This is a part-time role of 3 days per week in a well-established charity based in Twickenham. This role would really suit someone who wants to have the opportunity to work flexibly and build their career in the Charity sector.

Richmond Carers Centre has the mission to help unpaid and family adult carers to live a full, active and meaningful life by providing them with advice, information, activities, breaks and emotional support either face to face, by phone or by email to enable them to live well.

As the Adult Carers Activities Coordinator, you will directly deliver our leisure break activity and training programmes. You will plan, deliver, promote and review a programme of activities for adult carers, including outreach activities and leisure events, as well as group work to help enhance carers’ health and wellbeing. The core aim of the activity programme is to provide carers with a much needed break from their caring responsibilities, in a safe and social environment where they can meet other carers and focus on their wellbeing.

Main Duties include:

• To coordinate and deliver an established activities programme for adult carers with the aim to provide them with a break from their caring role and socialise with other carers to help reduce their isolation.
• To coordinate and deliver a training workshop programme to provide carers with information and advice to support them with their caring role and opportunities to learn.
• To work with relevant professionals to deliver a programme of wellbeing activities, including yoga, Pilates and complementary therapies.
• To recruit, train, support and manage volunteers and paid sessional staff to contribute to the delivery of a selection of the activities and workshops.
• To research and continually develop the activities and training programmes to ensure it is responsive to carers needs.
• To create promotional material to promote activities and training opportunities to carers registered with Richmond Carers Centre.
• To work with Adult Carers Support Team Leader to ensure activities are within budget, achieving targets and meeting the requirements of funders.

We’re looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join the Stroke Recovery Service based in the Durham area.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke.

Position: S11233 Stroke Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, Durham. However, frequent travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Salary: £19,596 per annum (FTE £27,400 per annum)

Hours: Part-time, 25 hours per week

Contract: Permanent. However, services are contracted and there is currently funding for this contract until 31 March 2026.

The Role

The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes.

Reporting to the Stroke Service Delivery Coach, the Stroke Support Coordinator will:

• Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
• Deliver 6 month post stroke reviews.

Key experience and attributes you will need to bring:

• Minimum six years’ experience at senior leadership/management level, ideally gained in non-profit organisation or other humanitarian setting.
•  Some prior experience of interacting with a Board of Directors.
• Experience of financial compliance including demonstrable experience of actively setting and managing budgets, preparing cashflow projections and working with financial reports – this experience is likely to have been gained over at least 3 years’ active, first-hand participation.

We're looking for kind, compassionate and resilient Specialist Behavioural Support Workers to join our Learning Disabilities service in Tower Hamlets.

£29,110.00 per annum, working 40 hours per week.

What you'll do:

Behaviour Analysis:

- You are liable to observing and monitoring the customer's behaviours, the duration, the intensity, and the damage, as well as factors that may alleviate or trigger the behaviour.
- You are responsible in planning appropriate intervention to modify and resolve the behaviour.
- You require superb interpersonal and relationship skills and must have the capacity to handle psychologically behavioural changes.
- You understand and collaborate with the different support organizations accessible in the community.
- You exhibit a concrete basis in behavioural analysis.
- You will have ability and skill to present and feedback to other professionals in a formal setting.
- Reports possible cases of abuse, neglect, or endangerment appropriately.
- Actively participates in the reviewing and the designing behavioural interventions plans.
- Implements behaviour support plans.
- Measures goals and objectives of behaviour support plans to ensure they are being met.
- Communicates with parents and care managers regarding customer's progress in the absence of management.

- Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation.
- Participate in the support planning and risk management, as facilitated by the lead Support Worker.
- Carry out security duties to ensure the safety of the customers and premises.
- Monitor the CCTV throughout the shift.
- Enable customers to make full use of community facilities by providing support as directed.
- Carry out support duties to enable customers to integrate into the community including e.g., accompanying the customer to attend benefit agency appointments and meetings, go shopping, to enquire at colleges about possible courses, to visit various public amenities.
- Report any observations relating to customers welfare.
- Adhere to all the policies and procedures of Look Ahead Care, Support & Housing plus those specific to the project including any statutory requirements.
- Ensure Look Ahead Health and Safety policies and local protocols are always adhered to.
- Maintain records as required at the project under the direction of the support workers / management.
- Participate in team meetings/reviews and the general development of the service.
- Maintain records in accordance with Look Ahead's Information Management policies, procedures and guidance under the direction of the Support Worker's manager(s). Keep a clear desk at all times and assist with archiving and secure disposal of records when required.

The Coalition registered as a charity in December 2023. We have spent the last 18 months developing the infrastructure of the organisation so we can meet the Charity Commission requirements.
