The Role
Month-end tasks
Process supplier invoices and staff expenses and prepare weekly payment runs in Sage 50 Accounts software.
Send remittance advice to suppliers.
Import staff expenses transactions from Expense's into Sage and reconcile staff accounts to Purchase Ledger in Sage.
Reconcile supplier records within the Purchase Ledger ensuring it is accurate and up to date.
Working with the Database & Insights Officer, post monthly bank receipts and income journals to Sage 50.
Monthly reconciliation of bank, Stripe and PayPal accounts to bank statements.
Reconcile credit card statements monthly.
Prepare and post monthly prepayment journals to Sage.
Prepare monthly reconciliations of income in Sage against Fundraising figures, explaining any variances.
Prepare monthly cashflow statements for review by the Head of Finance.
Reporting
Support the Development team with Donor reporting.
Prepare monthly budget vs actual reports for project teams.
Produce Sage expenditure reports for the Development and Program teams upon request.
General
Monitor the Accounts Payable mailbox responding to emails and requests in a timely manner.
Support the HoF and Development team with any other ad hoc tasks as required.

The Candidate
Extensive experience working in Finance to officer or senior officer officer level
Reconciliation
Working experience with Sage50.
Qualified or Pursuing formal accounting qualifications.
Understanding of charity accounting

Key duties and responsibilities

The post holder will:

As a skilled relationship officer, you'll work with your manager to provide first-rate partnership management, developing creative fundraising and engagement plans to excite and inspire your team. You will work to deliver outstanding donor led stewardship and activate campaigns to generate income. You will work collaboratively with staff across Mind, together with other stakeholders and external contacts to maximise income and other opportunities for Mind.

Working both independently and with support from your line manager:

-Steward, renew and grow a portfolio of corporate partnerships at Mind, effectively planning, developing and delivering the partnerships to maximise income and wider benefits for Mind.

-Develop and implement a fundraising and engagement plan to maximise income and added value over the course of partnerships, deliver donor-focused stewardship so partners want to stay with Mind.

-Collaborate with internal teams to maximise potential and deliver mutually beneficial partnerships, e.g. communications, celebrities and PR, pro bono and gift in kind, lived experience, finance, events, services and wider engagement

The Senior Officer – Network, Partnerships and Programmes plays a critical role as the initial contact point for CSC’s global network of 200+ NGOs and delivery lead for our practice-based partnership programmes and Street Work training, working closely with a small but dynamic team in pursuit of CSC’s vision and goals.

The postholder will contribute towards CSC’s strategic goal to transform street-connected children's experience of the street, now, so that they are safer, with better access to services and a sense of belonging in their communities, by:

• Promoting and supporting skilled street work as the first, critical step in a rights-based approach to supporting street-connected children

Role Summary

Specific Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Programme delivery

• As the delivery lead for CSC’s practice-related partnership programmes, (including our Inclusive Education Programme), work closely with partners, working group members and other stakeholders to develop and deliver high quality programming which maximises learning and dissemination opportunities, engaging external stakeholders and learning partners where appropriate
• Manage and cultivate relationships with current programme funders, ensuring that high quality reports are submitted to deadlines
• Where required, support the delivery of other programme activities in partnership with network members
• Working with partners and CSC’s finance manager, review and manage programme budgets

• Support the further development and delivery of CSC’s Street Work training offer, working closely with the Director of Programmes for Network, Practice and Children’s Participation, including supporting proactive efforts to secure training contracts/funding and nurturing CSC’s Global Trainer group.

3. Network development

• With the support of the staff team and Directors of Programmes, develop and implement CSC’s network approach to achieve CSC’s strategic goals
• Identify areas for collaboration with and between network members and facilitate shared learning, including via network-wide events, thematic working groups and geographic clusters within the wider network
• Be the first point of contact for reactive enquiries relating to the network and membership
• Be the ‘holder’ of network data, which will be jointly populated and maintained by the team 
• Be a champion for shared learning and knowledge exchange between the network and CSC team, including via network surveys and online engagement events
• Work with the wider staff team and network to design and deliver CSC’s annual International Day for Street Children campaign and activities.

About this role

The Digital Acquisition Officer is a key member of the Mass Engagement team and part of the wider Development team. The Mass Engagement team exists to raise awareness of Reprieve’s work, shift public opinion and to inspire support. Your role will be to engage members of the public, grow the Reprieve’s community and help establish our supporter base.

You will gain experience working with a variety of trust funders and will work collaboratively with colleagues and teams from across the organisation on projects such as supporting the delivery of the Arts Council England reporting.

Your primary responsibilities will include identifying and cultivating relationships with potential trust supporters, developing compelling funding proposals, and providing exemplary stewardship to existing donors. You will be at the forefront of BookTrust's efforts to secure funding from trusts and foundations.

About you

We are seeking an ambitious fundraiser with experience of developing multiple four and five-figure funding relationships from trusts and foundations. You should be confident and outgoing with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You should be able to write with flair to develop compelling applications and reports and speak passionately and articulately about BookTrust's work to the staff and trustees of trusts and foundations.

The ideal candidate will be efficient, have a strong eye for detail, and have good time management skills. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team with common goals and have natural 'Fundraiser Detective Instincts' to spot funding opportunities and go above and beyond with stewardship.

Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering work of the highest standard are crucial. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously, will be necessary for success in this role.

MedEquip4Kids is a Manchester based national charity that improves the health of babies and children across the UK by providing hospitals with equipment not available from limited NHS resources. We are looking for a Fundraising Partnerships Officer to join this small but mighty fundraising team and grow the vital income for this incredible charity!

The Role

By joining MedEquip4Kids in this capacity you will play an important role within the charity and duties will include:

• Maximising the charity’s income through the development of the corporate, trust and community fundraising portfolio.
• Developing a pipeline of new prospects and relationships (including one off donations, corporate partnerships and event participation).
• Researching, completing and submitting corporate trust applications.
• Providing positive leadership to volunteers and corporate donors ensuring effective stewardship and stakeholder engagement.

The role is varied and interesting and provides an opportunity for you enlist support to raise funds that will have a real impact on the lives of babies and children across the UK.

The Person

To be considered for this role you should come to us with experience of managing relationships and of working towards income targets. You should be a strong and confident communicator with the ability to build relationships with new contacts and develop existing relationships to maximise engagement. You should also have good written communication skills and the knowledge and ability to write compelling cases for support to obtain funds for the charity. We would welcome someone who has significant fundraising experience, but also those with awareness and interest in this area with the transferable skills to make a success of this rewarding career!
