About the role
The role of the Corporate and Community Partnerships Manager is to generate income to meet the Charity’s fundraising requirements by maintaining and developing successful partnerships with corporate and community group supporters, through donations, sponsorship, employee and group fundraising activities and events (organised both by Hope and third parties).
As a Corporate and Community Partnerships Manager at Hope, you will work alongside our existing Corporate and Community Fundraiser. Together you will be responsible for the delivery of corporate and community activities, and our annual income and expenditure budget.

- Responsible for Fundraiser Training; Induction, Enhanced and Quarterly Refreshers to date and relevant content.
As the Direct Marketing Officer (F2F campaigns), you’ll have ideally previous skills and experience in either a campaign management role within Direct Marketing, Individual Giving OR have worked in a fundraising and gained transferable skills in the areas below:
- Working with or managing external agencies and internal stakeholders to deliver successful campaigns or projects.
- Presenting to others, and/or creating and delivering training programmes to inspire and motivate others to achieve targets and deliver objectives.
- Monitoring, planning projects and/or campaigns to agreed deadlines.
- Managing data with an excellent command of MS Excel.
- An understanding of fundraising compliance, data protection and best practice.

About the role:
The fundraising team raise approximately £400K annually and aspiring to grow by over half a million by 2025. You will be responsible for leading and growing income via the charities Corporate Partnerships and Sporting Challenges. The ideal candidate will have high-level experience in corporate fundraising.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide excellent account management to some of the charities existing and new corporate relationships.

We have a fantastic opportunity for you to develop and build upon your fundraising prowess and management skills.
We’re looking to appoint a talented Philanthropy Manager to join our ambitious team. You’ll have a proven track record of securing major gifts and line management experience.
We’re delivering some of the most exciting major gift fundraising in the UK. Our philanthropy team has grown significantly over the past few years, and we’re focused on raising over £1.8m in 2024.
In this role, you’ll have three direct line reports and alongside the Head of the team be responsible for the budgeting and planning for various work streams.
Working with the team you’ll be securing significant gifts to help us deliver services to people living with MS. We work hand-in-hand with our Research team to raise funds for our pioneering research programme.
You’ll also have your own portfolio, identifying, engaging and stewarding a mix of cold and warm philanthropists, senior volunteers and prospects. We’re looking for a dynamic and confident major donor fundraiser to maximise income growth from HNWIs.
Managers across Philanthropy and Partnerships work together very closely support the overarching approach to high value fundraising.
We have a highly committed Appeal Board, which brings together high profile, engaged and well-connected individuals passionate about the cause and our ambitious plans for the future.
Now is an exciting time to join us at the MS Society. Our investment in research is to double over a decade and we have developed a research-focused national appeal, the Stop MS Appeal.
Our Stop MS appeal is well underway, with over £80 million of our £100 million target achieved, and is a major focus of our work. This will allow us to invest millions in ground breaking research, all with the goal of stopping MS as we know it.

About the Role
This role supports strategy and implementation of behavioural change best practice in our country programmes with a focus on gender-transformative approaches and reaching key populations and vulnerable groups such as adolescents, people in extreme poverty, people living with disability, and those with low-literacy.
This role will provide focused technical assistance to MSI country programmes, supporting formative analysis, strategy development, coordination, capacity strengthening, mentorship, and implementation of gender-transformative and inclusive programme activities for behaviour change. It will also support donor and fundraising teams within MSI to include appropriate GESI language and best practice approaches into new proposal design.
The GESI Programming Specialist will also work with the Evidence and Impact team to document and share successes and challenges in gender and inclusion programming and support the dissemination of best practice approaches. The learnings and outcomes generated from key projects will be used to strengthen gender equality and social inclusion programming across MSI’s global partnership, significantly contributing to delivery of MSI’s 2030 strategy.
This role reports to the Head of SBC and Inclusion in the Technical Services Department, which supports gender, inclusion, and SBC programming across MSI.

- Skilled in translating research insights into practical, workable programming approaches. Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources.
- Excellent English written communication skills and a high ability to organise and present information in a compelling, easy to understand and practical way, to both high-level donor audiences as well as in-country teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to design, facilitate & lead participatory training sessions.
- Strong networking and interpersonal skills.
- Able to multi-task, problem solve and prioritise to manage multiple and competing demands from internal and external clients.
- Can use PowerPoint, word, excel to high standard to create impactful and persuasive presentations and resources.
To perform this role, it is essential that you have the following experience:
- Significant technical experience at an advisory level in social and behaviour change programming, with a focus on gender equality and inclusion. Must include project design and implementation, and technical assistance in the health sector, preferably in SRHR.
- Significant experience developing and embedding gender-transformative SBC strategies in an international development context.
- Experience at a regional or global level is an advantage, especially in building best practices and motivating teams to adopt tools, new ways of working.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure gender mainstreaming and social inclusion integration in project design, implementation, and M&E.
- Demonstrated capacity strengthening experience, including developing and conducting trainings, mentorship, and coaching of government, local, and community partners.
- Familiarity with formative research and monitoring and evaluation methodologies and approaches and ability to interpret data for decision making and inform programming and strategies. Experience designing, conducting, and using gender equality and social inclusion analysis preferred.
- Familiarity with social and behaviour change communication and social norms theories and approaches and substantial experience with mainstreaming gender and/or disability into SBCC.
Formal education/qualification
- Degree in relevant field (public health, gender studies, disability, and inclusive development etc.) and 5-7 years of relevant technical experience

- Willingness and ability to travel to MSI countries (5-6 trips of between 3-5 days duration per year)
