To provide high-quality and comprehensive advice, information, practical and advocacy support relating to violence against women and girls (VAWG) against Black and minoritised young women and children, with multiple needs, across West London.
To assist with educational, developmental, policy and campaigning work arising from advice and casework, in particular to young women across West London.

We’re looking for a confident and well-organised fundraiser to help manage and grow our corporate partnerships. You’ll develop relationships with existing and new business supporters, deliver engaging communications, and support the growth of income from companies, all while helping to protect butterflies, moths and the environment we all depend on.

Job Purpose
• Managing and growing relationships with existing corporate donors

Main Responsibilities
1. To directly manage a portfolio of corporate supporters, ensuring excellent stewardship and customer experience in order to meet agreed income targets and KPIs and maximise income for BC.

2. Develop and prepare tailored cases for support, proposals, reports and bespoke updates and communications to donors.

3. Identify, nurture, develop and manage new and existing corporate supporters including producing and communicating inspiring funding opportunities aimed at specific organisations.

4. Negotiate and deliver partnership agreements ensuring delivery against agreed targets and a good return on investment for the charity.

5. Monitor income targets and activities for Trading and Corporate fundraising including reporting to the BC Trading Company Board.

6. In conjunction with the Digital Manager, manage BC’s website shop portals and commercial partnerships to ensure a good level of royalties, proactive marketing, and supply of ethically sourced and sustainable goods.

7. Liaise with Communications and PR Team to ensure effective promotion of corporate and business agreements and timely reporting back on campaigns.

8. Update and maintain records of all business and corporate approaches, communications and agreements on the CRM and appropriate files.

9. Advise Branch volunteers where they seek to establish business support for their activities.

10. Where required, develop and/or follow policies and procedures on due diligence, data management, account management, stewardship, and reporting.

Experience

• Essential: At least two years experience advising and performing casework on housing/homelessness and benefits and other related issues for people newly granted refugee status and others with the right to remain in the UK.

• Essential: Experienced in advising refugees, asylum-seeking people and migrants.

• Desirable: Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) Level 1 or Level 2 qualified in Asylum and Protection or Immigration.

• Essential: Up-to-date knowledge on one or more of the following issues: housing (particularly for refugees and asylum-seeking people), benefits, asylum support, immigration, community care, health, or related issues.

Summary

The role will involve:

1. Supporting the Bishop of London and the Archbishop of York in their work in the House of Lords.
2. Advising on and researching materials for parliamentary speeches and interventions.
3. Monitoring and keeping the Bishop of London and the Archbishop of York informed about relevant parliamentary developments and timetables.
4. Liaising with MPs, Peers and their staff, Parliamentary officials and others in and outside the NCIs on behalf of the Bishop and Archbishop.

Recruitment Process

Duties and Key Responsibilites 

Sarcoma UK’s research programme

• To support Sarcoma UK’s grant application processes under guidance from the Acting Head of Research. This will include calls for proposals, identifying expert peer reviewers, administering a high-quality peer and lay review process, communication with applicants and potential applicants, administration of grant awards and supporting patient involvement.
• To provide support to the Grant Review Panel and Research Strategy Committee, including organising meetings and preparing minutes.
• To manage Sarcoma UK’s portfolio of active research grants, under guidance from the Acting Head of Research. This will include administration of newly awarded grants, monitoring progress of current grants, oversight of grant finances and reporting on final outputs.
• To support opportunities for patient involvement within the research programme, including managing a network of lay reviewers and facilitating new opportunities, with support from the Patient Involvement Coordinator.
• To support new developments in Sarcoma UK’s research programme, including organising and attending events, collaborative funding calls and initiatives to support early career researchers. 

Research Impact and Communications

• To monitor and gather outputs and long-term impact of research grants funded by Sarcoma UK and support in ensuring these are shared with internal and external audiences.
• To plan and produce engaging and reactive and proactive communications about sarcoma research, including website, social media, written and video content, working with the Acting Head of Research and Communications Team to ensure our research activities and outcomes are shared with the sarcoma community and wider public.

About the role:

The Business Support Officer role sits within the Professionalisation team at the Council which develops and manages a range of products including the development and management of the Council Standard, cyber security specialisms and professional titles. The team is also responsible for managing and supporting licensed bodies, developing the career framework, and implementing and managing processes for mapping to our Professional Titles.

The role is varied but primarily administrative with scope for the role holder to develop skills and experience in project management, monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

We're looking for kind, compassionate and resilient Specialist Behavioural Support Workers to join our Learning Disabilities service in Tower Hamlets.

£29,110.00 per annum, working 40 hours per week.

This role's shift pattern consist of early and late shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.

What you'll do:

Behaviour Analysis:

- You are liable to observing and monitoring the customer's behaviours, the duration, the intensity, and the damage, as well as factors that may alleviate or trigger the behaviour.
- You are responsible in planning appropriate intervention to modify and resolve the behaviour.
- You require superb interpersonal and relationship skills and must have the capacity to handle psychologically behavioural changes.
- You understand and collaborate with the different support organizations accessible in the community.
- You exhibit a concrete basis in behavioural analysis.
- You will have ability and skill to present and feedback to other professionals in a formal setting.
- Reports possible cases of abuse, neglect, or endangerment appropriately.
- Actively participates in the reviewing and the designing behavioural interventions plans.
- Implements behaviour support plans.
- Measures goals and objectives of behaviour support plans to ensure they are being met.
- Communicates with parents and care managers regarding customer's progress in the absence of management.

Other Responsibilities:

- If a need arises, deliver all aspects of support to enable a customer to develop independent living skills as appropriate to the individual needs of the customer. In some services, this will include delivering personal and physical care as appropriate.
- Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation.
- Participate in the support planning and risk management, as facilitated by the lead Support Worker.
- Carry out security duties to ensure the safety of the customers and premises.
- Monitor the CCTV throughout the shift.
- Enable customers to make full use of community facilities by providing support as directed.
- Carry out support duties to enable customers to integrate into the community including e.g., accompanying the customer to attend benefit agency appointments and meetings, go shopping, to enquire at colleges about possible courses, to visit various public amenities.
- Report any observations relating to customers welfare.
- Adhere to all the policies and procedures of Look Ahead Care, Support & Housing plus those specific to the project including any statutory requirements.
- Ensure Look Ahead Health and Safety policies and local protocols are always adhered to.
- Maintain records as required at the project under the direction of the support workers / management.
- Participate in team meetings/reviews and the general development of the service.
- Maintain records in accordance with Look Ahead's Information Management policies, procedures and guidance under the direction of the Support Worker's manager(s). Keep a clear desk at all times and assist with archiving and secure disposal of records when required.
- Undertake any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post as may be reasonably assigned.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our service supporting Unpaid Carers across Lewisham to improve their health and wellbeing, and access support that meets their needs.

The team works with unpaid Adult Carers, Young Adult Carers and Young Carers, completing statutory and holistic assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need. You will carry out home visits and community meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Unpaid Carers, families, and professionals.  

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Unpaid Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Unpaid Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

Applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Unpaid Carers and/or vulnerable adults or children in a social care, health, education or voluntary and community sector. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Unpaid Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services. Experience of working in mental health or dementia services would be an advantage.

You should be an excellent communicator and able to motivate and empower others. This is a full-time role.
