Our Counsellors are a lifeline to people in need of talking treatment providing a safe clinical space for individuals to speak out about negative life events and take back control of their lives. Role Purpose

Main duties and responsibilities
To uphold and promote best practice in the delivery of high-quality person-centred counselling / psychotherapy services to ensure all Cwm Taf Morgannwg Mind services are safe, ethical and client centred in line with the Mind Quality Mark.
To accurately capture data taking direction from the Counselling supervisor, and colleagues in Primary Care to ensure robust quality monitoring is undertaken and all patient notes accounted for in the delivery of counselling /psychotherapeutic services.
In collaboration with internal and external colleagues to explore how we can improve the counselling / psychotherapeutic experience for people who use our services, implementing recommendations and learning from clinical supervision, team meetings, line management meetings, and your own reflections to improve and refine your professional counselling practice. We have two Senior Legal Counsel positions available.
These are broad in-house legal roles with an opportunity to get involved in a number of areas across the organisation working with internationally recognised brands, NGOs, governments and key actors in the space. One role will primarily focus on supporting our Programme Teams (Plastics, Fashion, Food and Finance) and one role will focus on supporting the Network and Philanthropy Teams.
In both roles you will be supporting an international collective of circular economy catalysts who are providing innovative solutions to the biggest global challenges of our time.

Role & Responsibilities
Reporting to our General Counsel, your main responsibilities will be:
- Providing expert advice to the Foundation and leading on devising, drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of complex agreements (including commercial contracts, supplier terms, collaboration agreements, and memoranda of understanding as required).
- Identifying, analysing, and advising on a broad range of legal, compliance and regulatory issues including in relation to contractual matters, charity law compliance, data protection and privacy, employment, anti-bribery and corruption, commercial contracts, intellectual property licensing, brand management and protection, and competition law.
- Proactively seeking opportunities to improve operational working practices and systems particularly as relevant to their business areas working closely with the General Counsel and other key stakeholders to do so.
- Staying up to date with external developments relevant to the Foundation particularly as relevant to their business areas and contributing to the dissemination of knowledge within the organisation.
- Liaising with colleagues in the Foundation’s international offices, as required.
- Undertaking a range of core administrative and support tasks as required, including use of software, document, and knowledge management.
Your profile:
- Qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales or equivalent (including by way of transfer).
- This role may suit a candidate with 4+ years PQE (note this is stated as a guide only) with significant and demonstrable post qualification experience advising on the law of England and Wales.
- Experience of working in-house is essential, coupled with evidence of having advised clients directly.
- Strong commercial contracting experience is essential, including confidence in drafting, advising on, and negotiating a broad range of complex contracts, including intellectual property and licencing.
- A working knowledge of charity law compliance, data protection and privacy, intellectual property, employment and competition law would be strongly preferred.
Salary package: circa £63k per annum dependent on experience level plus generous holiday allowance (25 days plus UK Bank Holidays plus discretionary organisational extra days leave) generous parental leave; enhanced pension options/private health scheme after 6 months; wellbeing programme.
Location: This role may be remote in the UK or be based in our offices in Cowes, Isle of Wight.

RASASC Guildford - Making a difference to the lives of those affected by rape and sexual abuse
Position: Clinical Supervisor(s) for our Counselling and Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) services (Self Employed)

We are currently recruiting for a Supervisor to supervise small groups of counsellors and our ISVA team.

The vacancy is as follows: Supervisor for up to three groups. Each group has supervision every three weeks for two hours. The Supervisor(s) will provide supervision for the counsellors and ISVAs in accordance with BACP Ethical Guidelines.
RASASC is a registered charity which has been providing support to survivors of rape and sexual abuse of all genders (both recent and non-recent) and young people aged over 13, from across Surrey since 1992. We provide one-to-one counselling, group support, youth counselling, a family support programme, a national Telephone Helpline, webchat, and an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) service.
Volunteers are an important part of the work we do. Volunteers staff our Helpline, and some of our qualified counsellors work on a voluntary basis with survivors of rape and sexual abuse.
Clinical Supervisor(s): This role is based in Guildford and online.
Key function:
• To provide a safe space where counsellors/ISVAs are able to reflect on the process and the content of their therapeutic/advocacy work. The focus will be on supporting the counsellors/ISVAs to work to the best of their ability, for the benefit of their clients.
• To be familiar with the BACP ethical framework and work according to this.
• To work with the counsellors/ISVAs to ensure that safe ethical boundaries and best practice are adhered to at all times and to respond to, report and monitor any safeguarding concerns that arise.
• Attendance at monthly supervisors meeting at £21 per hour.

Waterloo Community Counselling (WCC) offers life-changing accessible and affordable counselling in the heart of London and is a small charity that has a big impact! We are one of only a handful of Low-Cost Counselling services offering weekly therapy at reduced fees, or for free. We reach adults from diverse backgrounds and our unique Multi-Ethnic Counselling Service (MECS) provides free mother-tongue counselling to migrants, refugees and asylum seekers who have survived exile, torture, human trafficking and modern slavery in 30 languages.
WCC has gone through a period of transformation and operational improvements over the past 2 years which has increased the charity’s financial and organisational resilience. We are now looking for a Finance Manager who will join a well-developed team and be responsible for embedding the progress made and identifying further areas for improvement.
About the role of Finance Manager
The Finance Manager is a core member of WCC's management team and is a key advisor and partner to the CEO on all areas of finance. The post-holder will have responsibility for timely and efficient management of the day-to-day accounting function and all internal and external financial reporting. Reporting directly to the CEO this role is part of a friendly, highly productive and collaborative, dedicated clinical and operational staff team of ten.
It is a varied and senior position that is part time, 3 days per week, and we are happy to discuss how the hours are worked over the week. It’s hybrid, working a minimum of one day per week in our Waterloo office. The salary is £45,000 to £48,000 pro rata, depending on experience.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a Fully Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, ICAEW etc).
- Have 5+ years PQE, preferably with charity sector/ fund accounting experience.
- Able to demonstrate working independently and as finance lead.

Placement Manager
£35k p.a. FTE part-time

We are looking for a Placement Manager to join our enthusiastic and friendly team. Help Counselling Centre is a small Mental Health charity providing one-to-one counselling, both in person and online. We are also a well-established training placement provider for trainee counsellors and psychotherapists studying with prestigious training providers in London.
About Help
Help Counselling is well-established Mental Health Charity with a heritage of over 50 years. We provide training placements for clinical supervisors, counsellors and psychotherapists who need to gain clinical experience to qualify (or further qualify) and be registered with one of the industry professional bodies such as, BACP or UKCP. For ethical reasons, the work trainee counsellors / psychotherapists do is unpaid, i.e., they must volunteer their time.
This volunteer model enables Help to fulfil its charitable aim of providing low-cost counselling services. It can take between 3-5 years to qualify, and our training placements are for minimum of 12 months meaning we can also provide clients with long-term help. The blend of low-cost and long-term talking therapy is much needed in a time of increasing demand for mental health support and increasing complexity of presenting issues.
About the job
Reporting to the Help Director, the job is to ensure the smooth and effective running of the training placement process in line with BACP requirements.
This will include providing clinical support and expertise to the Help Director; managing and assuring the quality of the counsellor recruitment process; handling counsellor issues; overseeing weekly client allocations and reallocations; handling queries and managing relationships with clients, counsellors and supervisors; reviewing and enhancing clinical policies.
Currently our client volumes are between 250-350, we have approximately 90 counsellors and clinical team of approximately 20.
We operate a number of cloud-based IT systems and have outsourced HR and Finance functions.
Key responsibilities
· Provide clinical support and expertise to the Help Director as required.
· Manage and oversee process of new counsellor recruitment, ensuring all new counsellors are interviewed and vetted against a suitable set of standards and controls.
· Manage paperwork required by Training Organisations in relation to Trainee Counsellors at the beginning and during their placement.
· Being available to support Trainee Counsellors on clinical placement with Help.
· Manage the Cause for Concern’ procedure with Trainee Counsellors and Supervisors as and when they arise. This will include ensuring appropriate record-keeping and taking appropriate action to ensure counsellors are working safely and within the BACP ethical framework.
· Provide a point of escalation for client, counsellor or supervision queries.
· Manage and oversee weekly client allocations and reallocations.
· Manage any queries raised from Assessments and manage any declined clients
· Assist in the periodic review and creation of appropriate clinical policies and procedures. Provide input into policies and procedures based on changes to best practice guidelines issued by professional bodies.
The Candidate
Education & experience: Counselling or Psychotherapy Qualification, BACP or UKCP professional membership, 3-5 years' post-qualification experience. Experience of working within a training environment within the same industry highly desirable.

IKWRO –Women’s Rights Organisation (IKWRO) is an award-winning charity founded (as the Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation) in 2002. IKWRO is a registered charity which provides advice and support to Middle Eastern, North African and Afghan women and girls living in the UK, who have experienced, or are at risk of all forms of “honour” based abuse, including; forced marriage, child marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM), or domestic abuse.
We work with women and girls of all ages, including lesbian women, bisexual women and trans women. We offer services in Kurdish, Farsi, Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Turkish and English. IKWRO offers free advice, advocacy and counselling services and operates a refuge which provides safe accommodation and specialist support to single women at risk of “honour” based abuse, forced marriage and domestic abuse.
IKWRO also provides training for women and girls to help them understand their rights in the UK. In partnership with other organisations, we assist survivors of abuse with accessing English language classes and education, training and employment opportunities.
As well as supporting women and girls directly, we offer advice and training for professionals from the statutory and voluntary sectors, to better understand the needs of the women and girls we represent, the types of abuse they experience and to provide best practice prevention and support services.
We campaign to increase awareness and improve laws and policies to tackle all forms of “honour” based abuse and harmful practices including; forced marriage, child marriage, marital captivity, female genital mutilation, virginity testing and hymenoplasty, discrimination by sharia courts and to push for better laws and policies to protect women’s and girl’s rights.
The post-holder will be required to work in a confidential setting and provide non directive support to improve mental health and social functioning of women who are experiencing different forms of gender based violence. The post-holder will be professionally trained, accredited and work within the BACP/BPS Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions (2018) or equivalent.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
·Provide a service in line with BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) guidelines or equivalent.
·To support the management team with the strategic development of IKWRO’s counselling services.
·The provision of effective and high-quality Counselling and Psychotherapy services to IKWRO’s clients through making use of up to date service standards and IKWRO’s Counselling Guidelines.
·To agree a counselling contract with IKWRO’s clients and provide a timely, responsive and appropriate service.
·Carrying out a small one to one clinical caseload and/or depending on the team’s clinical capacity.
·To manage waiting lists according to the level of risk, delivery plans and organisational priorities.
·To manage the delivery against targets and in accordance with contract requirements.
·To lead, line manage and develop the counselling services staff as required.
·To do the clinical supervision of Associate Counsellors and trainees.
·Helping clients work towards a deeper understanding of their concerns;
·Maintain clients’ records ensuring accordance with IKWRO’s policies particularly as they relate to confidentiality and data protection.
·Making appropriate referrals and signposting to other services if needed;
·Attending clinical individual supervision, managerial supervision and training courses;
·Liaising, as necessary, with other agencies and individuals to help make changes based on the issues raised by clients;
·Liaising with IKWRO’s staff.
·Maintaining and updating accurate digital records of all cases and up to date monitoring and evaluation databases as well as writing reports.
·Experienced in delivering a variety of therapeutic interventions from different therapeutic modalities such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Psychodynamic, Existential and Humanistic therapy.

Job Summary
The post-holder will help Farsi speaking women who have experienced Forced Marriage, Female Genital Mutilation and “Honour” Based Violence. Working in a confidential setting, counsellors listen attentively to their clients and offer them the time, empathy and respect they need to express their own feelings, to help them overcome their problems and to make appropriate changes to their life.
The post holder must be BACP or UKCP accredited (or equivalent e.g. HCPC) or training to achieve these accreditation
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Establishing a relationship of trust and respect with clients;
- To undertake high quality direct (assessment and therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory and evaluative) specialist psychological interventions; making autonomous clinical decisions about own professional practice.
- Develops treatment and guidance methods and give guidance using a variety of therapy and counselling techniques;
- To formulate and implement plans of specialist psychological treatment or management of clients’ mental health problems based on an appropriate multi-factorial understanding of the client’s problems and current evidence-based best practice, taking into account the current NICE guidelines.
