The Hepatitis C Trust works nationally with peers who use their lived experience to raise awareness, provide training, and improve access to hepatitis C testing and treatment. 

In partnership with the Royal Berkshire & Thames Valley ODN, we’re expanding our work to include a Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) surveillance and early liver disease detection programme in Royal Berkshire & Thames Valley. 

We’re looking for someone who: 

• Has experience in health services or working with volunteers. 

• Has been affected by or supported someone with liver disease. 

• Can work independently, engage with stakeholders, and drive community outreach. 

In this role, you will: 

• Promote liver screening and early detection in the community. 

• Support patients through assessment and ongoing care. 

• Coordinate workshops and raise awareness. 

• Collaborate with local hospitals and outreach clinics.

Early Literacy Interventionist (North London)

• £16 per hour

• Working across two schools -  20 hours per week, over 5 days per week, so 4 hours per day

• Contract to July 2026 (with the possibility of extension, funding permitting)

38% of children from disadvantaged backgrounds leave primary school in England each year unable to read to the expected standard. Chapter One is a fast-growing charity, with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills they need to thrive. We work to ensure that all children have 1:1 reading support at the time they need it most.

Our Early Literacy Intervention (ELI) programme (based on a model that serves 20,000 children successfully in the USA) provides daily, 1:1, 7 minute phonics sessions for children who are behind in phonics. Using a bespoke technology tool, a trained Early Literacy Interventionist works individually with target children. 

This ELI role, reporting to the Schools Development Manager, is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop and grow their knowledge of phonics and/or their teaching skill set. It is ideal for someone with previous school experience who is looking for a new and exciting challenge.

You will conduct initial baseline assessments and then deliver differentiated, 1:1, targeted, 7 minute phonics sessions to pupils using a systematic, synthetic approach. Although you are employed by Chapter One, you will work closely with the school team to understand the progression of the school’s phonics teaching; establish tailored plans for each child and feedback on pupil progress. Using your knowledge and insight, you will also collaborate with colleagues at Chapter One to further improve the ELI model, the online tool and programme delivery.

This is a part-time role, based across two primary schools in North London. One school is Millbrook Park CE Primary School, NW7 1JF and the other is The Devonshire Hill Nursery and Primary School, N17 8LB. Approved Premises (APs) work with high-risk people released from prison, providing a vital element in public protection arrangements. APs offer a level of contact, support and supervision within the community that is unique within the Criminal Justice System. This is an opportunity to be part of a dedicated, enthusiastic staff team at our male Approved Premises in Battersea, playing a key role in pro-social modelling, rehabilitation and community reintegration for those ready to make positive choices.

Working closely with Probation Officers and other community services such as police, health, housing and substance misuse, we provide a stepping stone from prison into the community.

As a member of the Approved Premises team, you will model pro-social behavior and foster a positive, respectful culture with both clients and colleagues. You will actively engage with residents, supporting communal activities such as meal preparation, and contribute to the delivery of individual sentence plans in collaboration with probation officers, police, and external agencies.

Your role will involve providing administrative and practical support, ensuring daily tasks are completed, and following all operational protocols. You will encourage compliance and enforce rules relating to curfews and drug and alcohol testing as required. Keeping colleagues, multi-agency partners, and management informed is essential.

You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the health, safety, security, cleanliness, and well-being of the premises and residents, utilizing tools such as CCTV, observation, and direct personal contact. Accurate, timely record-keeping and appropriate information sharing with respect for confidentiality are critical components of this role.

Using your initiative, you will identify and address additional tasks or emerging issues, working within the service to maintain an enabling environment. Adherence to the Approved Premises Manual, Hestia policies, and relevant justice service requirements is expected, alongside consistently demonstrating The Hestia Approach.

This role involves working closely with high-risk offenders transitioning from prison to community life, providing a unique level of daily support, supervision, and tailored interventions. You will empower residents to take responsibility for themselves while maintaining appropriate boundaries and supervision. The position operates on a rolling rota covering early, late, weekend, and night shifts to ensure continuous support and public protection.

Work as part of a dynamic team delivering the Safeguarding on Transport (ST) project, in partnership with British Transport Police (BTP). You will be responsible for developing our community engagement work in the West Midlands, as well as supporting the wider UK work. This work consists of developing the Safeguarding Action Groups (SAG) and also encouraging members of the local rail industry to engage with our training and become part of the safety net for vulnerable young people on the rail network. The role will require working closely with British Transport Police, station staff and employees as well as local services in the area.

• Experience of working to targets and recording information for performance monitoring

• An understanding of the client group and the challenges and motivations of young people

• Sound knowledge of using monitoring systems to record all aspects of the project 

• Able to recognise the signs of child sexual exploitation (CSE) and take appropriate action

• Ability to set up and operate systems to monitor and report on work

Beacon is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic youth engagement worker to work as part of a small team to deliver our SHINE offer to young people. SHINE offers early intervention support to all 11-17 year old’s in Stockport to provide information, advice or guidance regarding their emotional wellbeing. We are looking for an Adult Carer Wellbeing Navigator, employed by Sutton Carers Centre and based within the Wellbeing Team at Sutton Talking Therapies as well as our Centre. In this role, you will provide both practical and emotional support to Carers - helping them to set goals, develop effective coping strategies, and strengthen their confidence by accessing appropriate therapeutic interventions. 

You will bring experience of working with people facing difficulties around their mental health, offering person-centred support designed to improve their overall health and wellbeing. You also will have knowledge of the wider issues that may affect mental health, including the particular challenges and rewards of caring for others.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced, dynamic, multi-partner environment are essential. Flexibility is also key - you’ll need to respond to the varying needs of Carers and the organisation, including occasional work outside standard office hours.

Shift Pattern: FTC/Full Time 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, shift patterns including 08:00 - 16:00, 09:00 - 17:00 and 10:00 - 18:00. You may be required to be flexible around these hours depending on service requirements. 

About the role

We're looking for a Floating Support Coordinator to join our team based in Luton. You will deliver community based support to the residents of Luton as part of our Luton Synergy Service -  an integrated support service with emphasis on prevention, early intervention and integration for people who are at risk of losing their independence. The service provides tailored support to clients aged 18+ over a maximum of two years, to improve their opportunity to live successfully in the community.  The ethos of the service is to enable, empower and encourage individuals to develop the skills and tools to manage their accommodation, tenancies and health & wellbeing.

Our work with clients takes place at locations to meet individual needs; within our Victoria House resource centre in Luton, at their homes, in other agencies’ premises or in public meeting places. We pride ourselves on providing accessible and flexible services to residents of Luton through partnership working and community engagement. You will work alongside various community and statutory services and you will inspire and motivate our participants to achieve their personal goals, build independence, and live independently within the community. You will provide tailored personalised support to help our participants to live more fulfilling lives, and to engage them with opportunities available within the community, to help them to develop their social skills and independent living skills. 

Key responsibilities:

• Support to source and secure accommodation – both privately and through housing associations or the council
• Support to sustain tenancies – including landlord liaison if there is risk of eviction, addressing poor quality accommodation, anti-social behaviour or neighbour disputes
• Support to improve health and wellbeing
• Advice and guidance on benefits, budgeting, utilities and debt
• Access to specialised support services for domestic violence, mental health, learning disabilities and physical health
• Support for carers and those in an unofficial carer role

We support homeless people or those at risk of homelessness, homeless families with housing related support needs, individuals with drug and alcohol use, individuals with mental health needs, older people with a need for low level support, those that are in fear of violence, those at risk of offending or have an offending history, victims of domestic abuse, individuals with mild learning difficulties and individuals with mild physical disabilities/sensory impairment.

About this key role

Our successful candidate will deliver tailored, young person-centred support to those who are not yet ready for education, training, or employment (ETE).  You will hold a caseload of up to 15 young people at one time, supporting at least 60 over the course of a year, and work collaboratively with allocated Caseworkers to develop and deliver practical, strengths-based plans that build confidence, motivation, and personal development.

You will identify and help young people access appropriate opportunities, including volunteering, insight days, traineeships, and early work experience and help them overcome barriers that impact their ability to engage with ETE — supporting them to take small, achievable steps towards long-term goals. We will also count on you to build and maintain strong working relationships with local ETE providers, employers, and community partners to source meaningful opportunities, plus ensure you keep accurate and timely records of all work in line with all safeguarding legislation, best practice, and St Giles policies and procedures.

• Experience independently addressing safeguarding issues with children, young people, and adults at risk of violence or exploitation

• Skilled in conducting thorough risk assessments and identifying the needs of children and young people at risk of significant harm

• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a multi-agency team, collaborating to achieve positive outcomes for young people and their families/carers

• Comprehensive understanding of the complex issues facing young people, such as exploitation, victimisation, offending, gang involvement, unemployment, and trauma
