Job description

We have an exciting part time opportunity for a Triage & Early Intervention Team Leader based across two sites, Wakefield and Shipley. The role is to manage our Initial Responders who deal with large volumes of referrals daily.

About the Role:

The role is office based across the Wakefield and Shipley sites. We are currently operating on a hybrid rota which includes some days working from home. There may be occasional travel required for training and development purposes.

As a Team Leader you will ensure the delivery of excellent services to victims and retain and develop contracts for services by supporting and managing operational staff, ensuring that the overall aim of helping people cope and recover from the effects of crime is achieved.

You will work collaboratively with the Operations Manager/Management team, in order to achieve the implementation of work force plans and the development of the service to maximise positive outcomes for those that access the service.

You will be responsible for:

  • case management system audits & reports, providing information to the Operations Manager on required case statistics & compliance
  • ensuring that the team are recording case information fully and accurately, as well as complying with contract reporting requirements and VS national standards
  • line management of operational team members including responsibility for recruitment, performance management and monitoring, continued support and guidance and implementing formal employment procedures
  • promoting effective communication channels including co-ordinate and facilitate regular team meetings, collating local issues, feedback and learning to share with other colleagues and the Operations Manager


You will need:

  • Experience of delivering a service in a statutory, voluntary, community or private social care setting
  • To report on and audit the case management system, demonstrating complete and accurate data and information recorded.
  • To provide an effective and excellent service to referred victims in keeping with the contract requirement and service delivery agreements
  • Effective and supportive people management to the operations team ensuring excellent performance management and monitoring, strong working relationships and a culture of support and guidance.
