In addition to a mature Regions team, we have created two further pillars – one to build stronger bridges across our Faculties and the other to develop and deliver a cohesive plan of engagement Programmes & Products for our alumni community.  We are now looking for two inspiring leaders to motivate newly formed teams of talented, creative and inspiring alumni engagement professionals who keep our 470,000+ alumni in 190 countries engaged and active within the global community.  You will both be responsible for the design and delivery of gold-standard alumni engagement programmes and experiences, thinking through how UCL shows up for our alumni, and how alumni can show up for UCL.  

As the Head of Alumni & Supporter Relations (Programmes & Products), you will lead a team of creative practitioners who are designing programmes and building products that speak to alumni of all ages and stages of their lives and engagement with UCL.  Your team will work closely with the Regions and Faculties teams, to gain insights and feedback and inform future programming and products.  You and your team will also work closely with our fundraisers, developing strategies and tactics to encourage volunteerism, advocacy and philanthropy in support of UCL.

For this role, we are seeking a creative marketing and engagement specialist – someone who has developed strategies to increase engagement across a wide spectrum of constituents.  A higher education / alumni relations background is helpful, however we’d also welcome hearing from specialists from within the membership, brand loyalty and customer experience arenas.

Age UK Redbridge, Barking & Havering offers an activity centre to residents of Redbridge aged 55 or above, to use for exercise and craft among other classes, and to enjoy light refreshments and a daily, 2 course, freshly prepared lunch.

A part time cook is required, to provide lunches (main course and dessert) and work alongside a small team to include; two other part time cooks and approximately 12 volunteers.  The centre is overseen by an onsite manager who will look after the day to day running of the centre, and who line manages the cooks and volunteers.

The ability to work independently and with the help of a kitchen assistant volunteer is essential in order to prepare between 10 and 30 meals per day. We are looking for a qualified, experienced cook, with recent experience. You will need to have proof of relevant Food Hygiene training and an understanding of different dietary requirements, as well as allergy legislation and health and safety knowledge relevant to Kitchen work.

You would be expected to assist the manager in planning meals to keep within budgets and to assist with the preparation for special event occasion menus or other ad hoc catering that may be required.

About You:

To be successful as the Senior Operations Contracts Lead you will need the below experience and skills:

• A thorough understanding of and knowledge of the issues relating to women in the criminal justice system
• A sound knowledge of safeguarding adult and children principles, child abuse, child protection issues and safeguarding
• A good knowledge and understanding of organisational systems and frameworks, line management and project management
• Significant experience, likely to have been gained over several years, of strategic planning and operational management at a service manager level, and developing and delivering services at senior service management level
• Significant experience of working with women and/or service users with a complex range of needs, particularly within the criminal justice system, in custody and/or community.
• Experience of developing relationships with funders/commissioners and achieving required outcomes
• Experience of implementing quality assurance frameworks, monitoring, evaluating and measuring impact
• Strong influencing skills, enthusiasm, self-confidence, excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills , and a can do proactive solution focussed approach
• Strong negotiating skills and the ability to build strong and effective relationships and partnerships, dealing with ambiguity and resolving conflict effectively, achieving the right outcomes for the organisation, collaborating and networking
• Able to think, act and plan strategically to develop practical and creative solutions to the management of existing and new services and complex problems that may arise while maintaining high levels of diplomacy and professionalism

The Role 

Support the planning, coordination and delivery of student recruitment and outreach for SEO London. The role plays a key part in executing digital outreach strategies, managing engagement with students and partners and supporting the organisation’s wider marketing and communications efforts. 

RESPONSIBLE AND ACCOUNTABILITY: 

Communications and Marketing 

• Oversee SEO London’s website and social media content, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and alignment with organisational priorities. 

• Review the SEO London upcoming activity to promote opportunities, events and resources in coordination with programme teams. 

• Draft, edit and schedule newsletters for students and partners, ensuring consistent messaging and campaign alignment. 

• Support the Marketing and Communications Manager in delivering campaigns and maintaining brand consistency. 

• Monitor analytics to assess engagement and recommend improvements across digital platforms. 

Social Media Management 

• Manage SEO London’s social media accounts (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok). 

• Create high-quality copy and visual assets, responding to student enquiries and maintaining brand standards. 

• Oversee the social media request process, working with teams to capture and share engaging content. 

• Deliver and lead on the social media plan through weekly posts and updates. 

• Maintain and update the DEI calendar, integrating relevant topics into the social media plan. 

• Collaborate with teams across the organisation to ensure consistent and inclusive messaging. 

Student Engagement and Conversion 

• Deliver virtual and in-person orientation and engagement sessions. 

• Plan and manage targeted SMS and call campaigns, monitoring performance and suggesting improvements. 

• Develop creative strategies to attract, convert and retain participants within SEO Careers programmes. 

Outreach and Stakeholder Engagement 

• Support the planning and delivery of outreach fairs and recruitment events, including logistics, follow-up and evaluation. 

• Build and maintain relationships with universities, student societies and other partners to promote SEO London’s programmes year-round. 

• Manage and promote Giving Back opportunities, ensuring listings are accurate and aligned with recruitment goals. 

• Represent SEO London at speaking engagements, online events and other outreach initiatives. 

Design and Administration 

• Manage Canva and PowerPoint templates, supporting teams with finalised marketing materials. 

• Design and produce visual and video assets for digital use. 

• Oversee merchandise inventory, orders and other ad-hoc administrative tasks. 

Collaboration and Relationships 

• Work closely with other departments to align marketing and outreach with programme goals.

Salary Ranges: Social Worker - Salary in the range of £34,053 - £41,620 per annum. Senior Social Worker - Salary in the range of £39,292 - £48,022 per annum.  If based from our London office, a location allowance of £3,299 per annum will be payable.

About the role:

Our Social Worker/Senior Social Worker’s role is a pivotal one within our Adoption service.  Some of your responsibilities will include:

· undertaking ‘home study’ assessments (PARs) and present these to the adoption panel

· support families throughout the matching process and once children are placed, up until the Adoption Order

· participating in recruitment activities and training for prospective adopters

About you:

As a Social Worker, you’ll bring a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in childcare social work and as a Senior Social Worker, a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience. You’ll have an understanding of child development and the impact on behaviour of interrupted development. You’ll have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrate a commitment to equality, diversity, equity and inclusion within service delivery.

The Role

The role is ideal for someone with strong ER and policy writing experience and good knowledge and understanding of UK employment legislation, key HR legislation and HR systems to appropriately advise and lead on ER cases. Ideally you would need to be CIPD part qualified or studying towards a qualification.

What will I be doing?

• First point of contact on IOP’s ER issues and responses, replying to queries in a timely manner

• Soley managing employee relations’ activities, ensuring that outcomes are proportionate, reasonable, timely and in line with legislation and the Institute’s policies
• Guiding, advising and assisting management and senior management through employee relations processes
• Providing people management advice and support to line managers, to enable them to fully undertake their people management role and ensure they are fully aware of the risks / implications associated with their decisions

• Internally, the role works across all departments as well as IOP Publishing HR and Finance

Working closely with the prison and their staff, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising peer opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and possess personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.

This role will be prison based, working 4 days per week, Monday-Thursday. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To develop, implement and evaluate the Banter Project youth service in partnership with adopted young people in Northern Ireland.  These young people range in age from 14-25 years and live throughout Northern Ireland.  The role will primarily work with the project participants, but has additional relationships with community organisations, educational establishments and employers to ensure that all project goals and outcomes are efficiently and effectively met.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To lead the development and delivery of all elements of the Banter Project adopted young people’s service within Northern Ireland in a fun, interactive, interesting and an ability appropriate manner.

• To support the project participants to play an active role in the design and implementation of a programme of monthly activities for adopted young people. Sustaining and developing a monthly social hub, supporting the development of basic life-skills, and preparation for opportunities in further education, training, employment.

• To support a Youth Advisory Group (YAG) in its role to enable adopted young people to steer the Banter Project while developing skills which promote independence, personal development, social and life skills, leadership, and community involvement.

• To organise and supervise the work of the Youth Services Support Worker to deliver the Banter Project. 

• To provide opportunities to connect with, and signpost to, relevant services, particularly those who work with care experienced young people.

• To develop and implement robust monitoring and evaluation to review individual goals, track progress and impact, via data and analysis of outcomes to assess effectiveness and areas for improvement.

• To record service activity using the electronic data management systems to collate in preparation for reporting and learning opportunities.

• To gather output and outcome data from the Banter Project service in accordance with the quality assurance systems within AUK. 

• Work with other staff members to deliver a high-quality project for our adopted young people and their adoptive parents.  Work as part of a team to contribute to a positive work environment and shared goals. 

• To attend internal and external training/meetings as appropriate, to remain connected with broader adoption issues, relevant policies, working practices, and network with other youth work providers in Northern Ireland.

• To engage in supervision and professional development.
