This role delivers a range of dynamic and engaging financial education programmes to young people, adults, and professionals. As part of our Programmes and Delivery Directorate, our Trainers love working with our participants; they’re the front line of our work, representing Money Ready’s exceptional programme quality in a range of settings.
This role will work with both children and adults across our programme suite and will require significant travel to our delivery locations throughout the area to deliver face-to-face sessions to diverse groups of learners. Occasional virtual sessions will also need to be delivered.
We are proud of the quality of trainers we hire, and we have a good mix of people, including former primary and secondary teachers and youth workers. You will be joining an excellent team in Wales who know their stuff, so there will be ample opportunity for you to learn and to provide feedback on where our programmes might improve. You do not need to be an existing expert on financial education; we will train you on everything you need to know.
Key responsibilities
Programme Delivery
- Deliver Money Ready’s suite of programmes in a variety of settings to support the delivery of our business plan and the Programme and Delivery Directorate’s Delivery Plan.
- Deliver to the Money Ready education and accreditation framework, ensuring learners have an excellent shot at achieving the programme accreditation.
- Adapting your delivery to meet the needs and learning requirements of diverse participants, often thinking on your feet and adapting to what is happening in the room.
- Completion of all Money Ready processes that surround our delivery work.
- Investing your time in your own development by learning from your colleagues and finessing your delivery craft. This will include participating in our internal training offer.
Programme Development
- Using your insight and experience to help support changes to our current programmes in a structured and thoughtful way, for example, through developing content.
- Support Money Ready in engaging with learners to help develop our programmes as we move the organisation into a co-creation mindset.
- Take ownership of programme adaptation and development, considering the differing needs of delivery across the country and allowing diversity of thought to thrive.
- Support Money Ready in innovating into new programme areas that help deliver our mission.
- Build relationships with delivery partners across your patch.
- Proactively identify new opportunities where we can deliver our programmes or grow our work in a different way. Initial focus on our courses catering to vulnerable young adults.

About the Role
As our Wales Lead, you’ll take on a high-impact, strategic role at the forefront of creating real change for young people across Wales. You won’t just be shaping our vision—you’ll be bringing it to life by building powerful partnerships, influencing key decision-makers, and championing the growth of our enterprise and financial education programmes in the places they’re needed most.
This role is anything but ordinary. This is an exciting opportunity to invest in the lives of autistic young people (aged 9-19). You will work in our Aspire Team to further develop specialist youth work provision in Cambridge City and South Cambridgeshire, supporting young people’s emotional well-being and helping them to overcome challenge and develop social skills. You will join our team of youth workers and volunteers to develop and deliver weekly social groups, shared interest groups, one-to-one work, family support, school-based alternative education, and trips and residential experiences. The normal working week will be 37.5 hours (5 days), there is a need for flexibility. The role requires regular evening work. Part-time hours will be considered, minimum 22.5 hours (3 days).
Duties include:
- Build positive relationships with autistic children and young people through different programme activities.
- Support individuals making the transition from primary to secondary school, and from secondary school to post 16/18 options, giving them the best possible opportunity of staying in education, employment or training that is fulfilling and helps them reach their potential.
- Work with others in the team to expand the provision and develop new youth clubs in specific geographical areas based on identified needs.
- Create opportunities for children and young people to develop life skills, in response to the needs identified by participants themselves, their families and others, through courses and one-off sessions, with individuals and small groups.
- Facilitate the exploration of young people’s values and beliefs thereby encouraging their personal, social and spiritual development.
- Contribute to partnership working with external organisations and agencies in developing effective youth work provision.
- Support the recruitment, training and management of teams of volunteers and young leaders to act as positive role models who can support the delivery of youth clubs.

The Education Access Coordinator will equip young asylum seekers and refugees to access further (FE) and higher education (HE) through advice and guidance, 1:1 casework and training for other professionals.
This role sits within the Education Access team: everything we do is focussed on supporting young refugees and asylum seekers into an appropriate form of education from primary school right the way up to university.
The team is separated into three work streams: access to schools, access to FE and access to HE. We also run a national email and telephone advice service through which young people, their families and the professionals who support them, can receive timely and accurate advice and support about any aspect of accessing education in the UK.
This role straddles the access to FE and HE streams of work and, although it would be helpful to have some experience of working in these sectors, our experience is that this knowledge can be taught and is not as important to us as other qualities and experience.
The successful candidate will, however, need to be able to understand and retain a great deal of complex information and then clearly articulate this to others both verbally and in writing. The ideal candidate would be someone who would relish becoming an expert in refugee access to FE and HE and would enjoy the problem solving element of navigating complex regulations to find the right solution for an individual struggling to access education.
The successful candidate will also need to have experience of and enjoy working with vulnerable young people both individually and in groups. A key element of this role is ongoing casework with individuals - where you will need to build a supportive and trusting relationship over the long term - alongside running one-off workshops for large groups where the priority is to quickly gain young people’s confidence and attention.
Finally, the successful candidate will be responsible for representing REUK’s access pillar externally. You will co-deliver training to a high standard as well as maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including local authorities, FE colleges, universities and other NGOs - it is therefore imperative that you have excellent people skills.
This role can be done 4 or 5 days per week, depending on preference (salary would be pro rata for 4 days).

We're looking for someone to work with Primary and Secondary schools, directly with children and with teachers, to embed nature-based learning across the curriculum. What we do: we partner with schools, universities and businesses to run face-to-face and virtual coaching programmes for disadvantaged young people with relatable role models who are just a few years ahead in their life journey, we help raise their confidence, independence, resiliance and attainment. The Challenge
By the age of 5, 43% of disadvantaged young people have not reached a good level of literacy and numeracy.
57% of children from disadvantaged backgrounds leave primary schools without reaching the expected standard in reading and maths.
A disadvantaged child is 50% less likely to achieve passes in GCSE English and Maths.
Only 16% of Free School Meal eligible young people attend university, compared to more than 75% of those who attend an independent school.
1 in 3 young people frpm disadvantaged backgrounds are not in any form of sustained education, apprenticship or employment five years after their GCSEs.
1 in 5 undergraduates from disadvantaged backgrounds don't complete their degree, double the rate for the most advantaged.
Those in elite occupations from disadvantaged backgrounds earn £6,400 per year less in the same role, and take 25% longer to gain a promotion.
Our Impact
We have been delivering coaching programmes across England since 2014, supporting over 15,000 young people in that time. We have a small but growing number of programmes directly coaching undergraduates from underrepresented backgrounds (our Lifecycle programme). However, the majority of our work and impact takes place in schools, involving us training undergraduates (our Core programme) or senior pupils (our Peer to Peer programme) to be coaches to younger pupils.
We are proud that our programmes demonstrate consistently strong impact on the outcomes most closely associated with improving social mobility: attainment, social & emotional development, and school attendance.
Our most recent independent evaluation found:
Increases in maths (11.1%) and English (5.1%) attainment.
Significant improvements (min 8%) in metacognition, self-efficacy, and motivation.
Persistently absent pupils’ school attendance increased by 11%!

Role description
In the 25/26 academic year, we will be expanding our work significantly, supporting close to 3,000 young people from Cornwall to Northumberland. The majority of this growth will be through a one-year project we are running in partnership with the Education Endowment Foundation.
This project is a randomised control trial (RCT) of our Peer to Peer coaching programme, where we will be working with an additional 50 new secondary schools. We have seen consistently strong impact from this programme on the attainment, social & emotional development, and school attendance of disadvantaged young people for many years. This EEF supported RCT now gives us the opportunity to test this impact at significant scale, specifically on the maths attainment, maths self-efficacy, and school attendance of disadvantaged Y10 and Y7 pupils (see here for more details).
To support with this delivery, we are looking to recruit additional fixed-term (October 2025 - July 2026) Programme Managers, both full and part time, in the following regions:

You will have end-to-end ownership of your own allocation of programmes, which may involve a mixture of Peer to Peer, Core and Lifecycle programmes. Whilst delivering our programmes you will be required to build excellent relationships with our school and university partners, support with training and developing our undergraduate volunteers, use our evaluation frameworks to assess impact, and lead on conversations related to retention and expansion.
Candidates should be able to cover all locations in the given region they are applying for, so access to a car would be an advantage, but is not essential. At times team members may be asked to travel to a location outside of their region, but this will be rare and sufficient notice and TOIL will be given where appropriate.
All roles are on fixed term contracts starting Monday 6th October 2025 and finishing 31st July 2026. The majority of direct delivery in schools will begin early November. The first few weeks in the role will combine a mixture of induction, training, programme observations, programme set up, and volunteer recruitment for our Core programmes.
Whilst there is the potential for a permanent role beyond the length of this project, this will be based on our levels of school retention and business development, and so cannot be guaranteed.

Essential characteristics and experience

·Strategic Planning and Evaluation
Develop and review session plans, set objectives, evaluate impact, and ensure alignment with local and national youth work policies.
·Staff and Volunteer Management
Recruit, supervise, train, and support youth work staff and volunteers, fostering a strong and capable delivery team.
·Fundraising and Financial Oversight
Raise and manage funds for activities, ensuring budgets are used effectively and reporting meets funder requirements.
·Ensure Safety, Inclusion, and Centre Collaboration
Uphold health and safety standards, promote accessibility, and contribute to the wider development and Christian ethos of The Salmon Youth Centre.
About You:
·Qualified Professional
Holds a JNC-recognised youth/community work or sports qualification, Ideally with aFirst Aid certification, and a D1 driving licence.
·Experienced Youth Work Manager
Has 3+ years’ management experience working with young people in informal, voluntary settings—especially through sports.
·Strong Leader and Manager
Proven ability to lead teams, supervise staff, manage resources, and develop effective programmes.
·Skilled Planner and Evaluator
Confident in setting goals, monitoring progress, and evaluating outcomes within a youth work context.
·Inclusive and Safeguarding-Focused
Knowledge of equality, diversity, safeguarding legislation, and experience working in diverse, inner-city environments.
·Christian Ethos and Communication
Able to promote Christian values through youth work, build partnerships, and engage with communities effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assessing learner skills and needs to establish starting points/baseline, with other TAP staff
2. Setting up and supporting learners in work placements to develop their skills and gain meaningful experience
3. Observing and evidencing the learner journey (keeping detailed records), monitoring learner progress (including target progress)
4. Liaising with families and team around the learner as required and to contribute to reviews- ensuring learners are working towards their outcomes and aspirations
5. Supporting employers and learners to work together effectively- suggesting and implementing reasonable adjustments
6. To work with Curriculum Manager/Team Leaders to support learners during class days, helping to create learning materials as needed.
7. To work with Curriculum Manager/Team Leaders to support learners with travel training, wellbeing support and signposting to extracurricular/socials and community events
8. Working alongside the Engagement Officer to find, source and maintain employer relationships
