Chrysalis East aims to reduce inequalities in progression to highly-selective universities for students across Tottenham. Working in partnership across a network of local schools, the programme includes academic enrichment, university preparation and careers guidance.
Chrysalis East seeks to help young people in Tottenham flourish educationally and make better informed choices about their futures. We want to support more young people to achieve the grades to be able to progress to sixth form ensuring our school is accessible to as many young people locally as possible. Whilst based at LAE Tottenham, we work in partnership with a network of local schools and our programme includes academic enrichment, small group teaching, university preparation and careers guidance.
As the most senior leader of Chrysalis East, the Director will be its most passionate advocate - able to communicate its mission with authenticity and conviction, and to bring people with them. They will act as the programme’s public face, winning hearts and minds among school leaders, teachers, pupils and parents, and ensuring the project’s vision is shared, understood, and supported across the community.
The Director of Chrysalis East role is advertised on a full-time basis, and on a fixed-term contract until August 2030.

About us: Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. A few practical things:
- This role is hybrid, involving a mixture of working from home and from our Central London office.
- There will be some limited additional requirements to travel for meetings and occasional expectations to work outside of office hours, such as our annual in person Staff Conference and quarterly evening ‘get togethers’ online with volunteers.
- This role is the equivalent of 3 days per week, however we are flexible to accommodate the regular working hours that work for you, between 9am-5.30pm Monday to Friday.
- Giving our volunteers the best possible experience involves really understanding what they do- so you will be actively encouraged to get stuck in and ‘volunteer’ yourself within our programmes and alongside our volunteers.

Ebony Horse Club is a Brixton-based charity that works with young people from low-income backgrounds, using horses as a powerful catalyst to build confidence, aspirations, and life skills.

A Bit about Us:
WellChild is the national charity for seriously ill children. Our vision is for every child or young person with complex medical needs to be thriving at home. Through a UK-wide network of children’s nurses, home and garden transformation projects and family support services, WellChild, who have Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex as its Patron, exists to ensure this growing population of children and young people have the best chance to thrive at home and in their communities.
WellChild is part of the Digital Services Consortium, a coalition of 12 charities and similar organisations all focused on driving digital inclusion for disabled or seriously ill children, young people and their families across the UK.
The Digital Inclusion Programme is a new project at WellChild with the aim of providing equipment and digital skills training to families who have children with complex medical needs, specifically targeting harder to reach and diverse families. Being digitally excluded has a negative impact on people’s access to health care and social engagement and this newly created and exciting role will make a real difference to the lives of those supported.
What we are looking for:
We are seeking an empathetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated person to join our friendly and supportive team as a Digital Inclusion Officer to work directly with charity beneficiaries - parents and carers of children with complex medical needs who are digitally excluded.
Purpose of the role:
This is an exciting new role at WellChild, and the Digital Inclusion Officer will be vital to the success of this project, helping to shape it from the very beginning. This opportunity will see you delivering and facilitating targeted outreach and digital inclusion support, including training and workshops to those harder-to-reach and digitally excluded families helping them improve their digital skills. This will be achieved through development and provision of training utilising Good Things Foundation’s ‘Learn My Way’ resources enabling these families to become digitally included and supporting them to engage with our parent carer community – The WellChild Family Tree.
This will be achieved by networking with community organisations, services and groups with a particular focus on those harder-to-reach and digitally excluded families. This role is also an opportunity to develop a new volunteer programme for digital champions to help feed into and grow this new service area ensuring our digital inclusion offer is sustainable in the long term.
The Digital Inclusion Officer will also be responsible for developing ways to provide ongoing support to the service users, encouraging and supporting them to join our parent carer community, or working with the wider family team to create new tools to connect these families, reducing their isolation and providing them with peer support, guidance and opportunities to take part in activities and events offered through our WellChild Family Tree.
Working within the Families Team as part of the broader Programmes Team and reporting to the Family Programm Manager, this role will lead the development and delivery of our digital inclusion project.
There are three key parts to this role:
Outreach and identification of families – working with WellChild staff, external organisations and stakeholders to design and deliver ways to identify and recruit digitally excluded families to the programme so they can become digitally included and access much needed support and guidance.
Development and delivery – using a user-led, test-driven approach to shape WellChild’s digital inclusion offer to deliver, facilitate and coordinate support and workshops providing targeted training to improve digital skills to harder-to-reach groups. This will also include the provision of equipment and data enabling these groups to be digitally included.
Sustainability and engagement – Monitor and evaluate programme’s success and identify ways to ensure the digital inclusion programme can develop as a sustainable service by developing a network of volunteer champions to support the programme delivery, promotion and engagement of service users. Working with wider teams to create resources and connect families to our parent carer community – The WellChild Family Tree.
You will also be expected to help identify case studies that can be used to promote the work of the charity, whilst monitoring & evaluating activities and engagement, producing reports as necessary. Throughout your work you will embed safeguarding processes and policies to keep families safe.
You will be able to:
- Demonstrate recent experience in supporting vulnerable people.
- Demonstrate the ability, skills and/or experience delivering digital inclusion training, developing and shaping content to the needs of the service user.
- Build and sustain valuable relationships with our families so they feel engaged and supported from the moment they access support including those from harder-to-reach and diverse groups.
- Provide digital skills training to families enabling them to confidently become digitally included whilst identifying any additional requirements for data, equipment or assistive technology.
- Develop and network with key organisations/groups/services to build relationships and identify service users.
- Support and work with the Family Programme Manager to maximise strategies to grow the programme, including increasing our WellChild Family Tree membership base to include harder-to-reach and more diverse families.
- Recruit and support volunteers to sustain and enhance the digital inclusion programme.
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and ability to adapt to the needs of a new and growing service.
- Demonstrate commitment and ability for strong team working.
- Effectively prioritise and work calmly under pressure.
- Collaborate with other teams across the organisation such as Comms & fundraising to maximise promotion for the programme.
You will ideally have:
- Digital inclusion experience and/or knowledge to develop and deliver WellChild’s digital inclusion programme including monitoring and reporting.
- Proven ability to engage with families, children and young people in a sensitive and effective manner.
- Experience planning and delivering digital skills workshops and identifying new locations for groups/sessions
- Demonstrate experience and/or knowledge of the Learn My Way digital training resource or similar platforms.
- Experience planning and delivering outreach programmes.
- Experience recruiting and working with volunteers
- A passion for working with families with children who have complex medical needs.
- A desire and commitment to improve digital skills and therefore family’s ability to thrive at home, reducing isolation and improving their emotional resilience.
- Strong communication and organisational skills

- A full UK driving license and the ability to be able to travel throughout the UK in order to deliver the requirements of the project.

Q:alliance provides support, information and representation for the LGBTQ+ people who live, work and play in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas. We have detailed knowledge of the issues and challenges that organisations and individuals face locally.
It’s our goal to create more safe spaces and resources to ensure the LGBTQ+ community is well represented and supported.
Scope
This established role will engage the LGBTQ+ Schools Partnership Forum (Milton Keynes) to plan, deliver and evaluate educational programmes for young people and manage a 1:1 caseload of support for LGBTQ+ young people across schools, colleges, and youth services in Milton Keynes. You will develop and implement training to upskill teachers, education staff and youth workers. Working collaboratively with all partners to ensure safe spaces for young LGBTQ+ people across diverse settings with particular focus on increasing resilience, wellbeing, and mental health of LGBTQ+ youth communities.
You will work closely with our youth work team and CEO to determine targets for outreach, engagement, and effective monitoring systems to ensure robust reporting.
Main Responsibilities
· Networking – Strengthen the LGBTQ+ Schools Partnership Forum, supporting teachers, education staff and youth workers to access resources, implement inclusive learning environments and provide support for LGBTQ+ young people in their settings. Coordinate meetings with the network to update on shifting needs, priorities, and situations in a local and national context.

Forge and support enduring relationships with key partners, strengthening our commitment to building an alliance of cross-sector compassionate advocates for the LGBTQ+ community in its diverse forms.
· Education – Plan, develop and deliver positive and engaging classroom workshops and school assemblies to a wide range of young people, ensuring key messages are inclusive of diverse perspectives, including those from black and minoritized communities.

What you’ll bring to the team
You will serve as the first point of contact for schools, colleges and youth settings. Purpose of the Role
You will provide administrative support to our skills curriculum, that we deliver to every learner across Y12 and Y13, as well as support our learners to build their knowledge of their progression options by supporting the many industry and university interactions we curate. This will require meaningful collaboration with our Sixth Form team, our learners, as well as the External Relations Team. You will also be tasked to provide administrative support to our T-level learners when they are on their industry placements. This is an immensely rewarding role for the right candidate and will play a substantial part in a student’s progression during their two years of study in our sixth form.

About the Fair Education Alliance
The Fair Education Alliance (FEA) unites 300 member organisations under a shared vision that no child’s success is limited by their socioeconomic background.
Our members (charities and social enterprises, think tanks, businesses and foundations, youth organisations, unions, universities and schools) are working collectively to create an inclusive system. We exist to close the gap in educational outcomes between children from low-income households and their wealthier peers.
This autumn, we’re kicking off our next strategic phase, which will take our work from neighbourhood to national, building a movement for systems change towards a fairer future for children and young people.
Why we need you
The gaps in educational outcomes between children from low-income households and their wealthier peers are staggering at every stage of education. This goes on to increase the likelihood that young people from low-income households will be out of employment, education, or training. We take a systems change approach to shifting the conditions that hold these inequities in place. With the next phase of our strategy underway—building a movement from neighbourhood to national—we need someone who can help us influence policy and practice with insight, evidence and urgency.
We aim to bring insights from our diverse and expert membership to policymakers, ensuring that local, regional and national policies best serve children and young people from low-income backgrounds. We support members to organise around themes through our collective action working groups, which have advised Government on topics such as Family Hubs, the Curriculum and Assessment Review, and the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill, and will continue to contribute expertise to upcoming policy moments related to SEND, Skills England and Ofsted. We also support youth voice in policymaking through our Youth Steering Group, which has contributed independently to major policy developments, bringing valuable lived experience to decision-making. From September, we’ll also support members, young people and government bodies to craft regional policy and practice that benefits children and young people from low-income backgrounds.
Our Digital Membership Tools (Member Directory and interactive Ecosystem Map) have the potential to play a crucial role in our policy work. These tools help members, funders, and policymakers target their work to where it is most needed. There is a wealth of data in these tools: the Ecosystem Map is the only place that marries up publicly available information about pupil demographics and outcomes with information about all 22,000 schools where our members are working. It shows where there is strong or weak provision related to different types of support, at a school, local authority, constituency, MAT or regional level, together with the outcomes pupils are achieving.
We now need someone who can harness these assets to produce compelling insights and engage policymakers—from local authorities and combined authorities to central government and funders. This role will turn data into impact: creating clear, targeted reports that support decision-making, identifying gaps and opportunities, and helping us tell the story of how education can—and must—be fairer.
What we’re asking of you
Develop a strategy to influence policy from neighbourhood to national
You’ll lead our approach to turning insights into influence—connecting our data, member knowledge and youth voice to shape policy that improves outcomes for children and young people. That means designing a strategy that engages decision-makers at all levels, from civil servants and funders to combined authorities and Parliament. You’ll identify the right stakeholders and entry points, use our Ecosystem Map and Member Directory to generate targeted insights, and align our regional and national work for maximum impact.
Translate data into insight—and insight into action
You’ll be responsible for developing reports and briefings that tell powerful stories with data. Working closely with our Data Officer, you’ll design templates and processes to produce timely, high-quality outputs that are tailored to different audiences, and that enable the wider team to do so. You’ll complement our datasets with wider research and trends, and ensure our insights are used by both internal colleagues and external stakeholders to inform programmes, policy and funding decisions.
Engage senior stakeholders and building meaningful relationships
You’ll represent the Alliance in meetings, roundtables, and events—sharing evidence and building trusted relationships with policymakers, civil servants, and funders. You’ll understand their priorities, and tailor our insights accordingly. This is a two-way relationship: you’ll also feed what you learn, ensuring that our influencing work is responsive and grounded in both national priorities and lived experience.
Manage projects and continuously improve our tools
You’ll oversee the systems and processes that make our insights work possible—ensuring reporting cycles are efficient, quality is consistent, and new datasets are brought into our tools where they add value. You’ll help embed insights across the FEA team, supporting colleagues to use data from the Tools in their work and helping to identify emerging opportunities. You will evaluate the impact of your approaches and strategise for the future of the Tools and our influencing work. You’ll also work with our funders to report on the impact of the tools and shape their future development.

The Community Engagement Officer is an essential role in fostering strong relationships with current and prospective members of the School Library Association community. The postholder will provide frontline support, drive online and in person engagement through outreach initiatives, and contribute to the growth and sustainability of the membership base. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about school libraries, education, and community-building.
With a particular focus on coordinating and supporting our Branch network, you will collaborate on initiatives for development, delivery and new projects as they come online. You will be the first port of call for advice and expertise relating to school libraries and enabling our members to more effectively support their school communities. Supporting the delivery of online and in-person networking events and workshops for members, you will work with your SLA colleagues, in particular the Training and Events Officer, to deliver a high-quality member offer and to ensure member needs are reflected in all offerings. The ability to travel to training and events across the UK is essential. Duties include:
Branch network and member support
- Work with the CEO to develop the SLA Branch Network and accompanying strategies
- Identify opportunities for developing initiatives to grow and develop the Branch network community, that will deliver on the SLA mission
- Develop strong relationships with local, regional and national stakeholders to support network growth and enable members to take full advantage of all relevant opportunities available to them
- Provide advice for SLA members on all aspects of school libraries, ensuring they are supported and can be as effective as possible in their school communities
- Drive engagement and development of online communities as part of the branch network
Training and events
- Work with the Training and Events Coordinator to support and deliver a calendar of exciting, engaging and informative events
- Support the delivery of online and in-person networking events and workshops with a focus on the Branch network community
- Represent the association at relevant events and for programmes (e.g., conferences, webinars, book awards) to promote membership and services
- Support training and event delivery (online and in-person), engaging and inspiring audiences as needed
- Support development of training programmes, toolkits and resources using member insight to inform
Outreach and communications
- Coordinate the mentoring scheme and ensure it is promoted effectively, with necessary support and development available to mentees and training for mentors
- Use your sector insight to identify opportunities for development of research and other initiatives, maintaining links and horizon scanning
- Provide SLA consultancy aligned with strategic approaches, supporting schools with development of their libraries, reading and information literacy provision to help children and young people reach their full potential
- Contribute to SLA communications such as TSL, newsletters, updates, and promotional materials
- Oversee the book review process in support of TSL, our quarterly journal
- Supporting management of the SLA resource library, working with colleagues to ensure alignment
- Support outreach to new audiences
Building relationships and an ability to foster collaboration and community engagement will be an important part of this role. All team members contribute to office admin, maintaining member data and general office support.
To be successful in this role you should ideally be able to demonstrate:
· experience of working in school libraries, the education sector and a strong understanding of the education landscape
· clear understanding of the curriculum and teaching and learning outcomes
· knowledge of children and young people’s literature
· experience developing and delivering inspirational training, to small and large groups, both online and in person
· experience creating training resources, toolkits and teaching and learning resources
· ability to galvanise and inspire others with flair and creativity
· the ability to manage own workload, prioritise and meet competing deadlines
· the ability to work hours flexibly around event and training delivery
An expert communicator, you will be experienced in developing relationships with a variety of stakeholders at all levels. Experience of consultancy, schools’ engagement and outreach would be advantage.
The salary for this position is £19, 594.59 (FTE £29,000) for 25 hours per week, and comes with a 6% employer pension contribution.

This is a remote working role, with monthly all team meetings which you will be required to attend, in addition to training and events across the UK. Working patterns can be negotiated. About the School Library Association
The School Library Association (SLA) is an independent charity and membership organisation that believes every pupil is entitled to effective school library provision. The SLA supports all those working in school libraries. We have been representing the school library sector for more than eighty-five years, with membership to the Association thought of as essential to all those who work in and around school libraries. Membership to the SLA provides training, support in advocating with senior leadership teams, incredible discounts and collegiate networking opportunities for everybody working in and with school libraries.
