This is a new and exciting role that will build and develop relationships with churches and individuals, to secure significant income, and bring in frequent and targeted income through regular donations, fundraising campaigns and events. The ideal candidate will have fundraising experience covering several areas including Individual Giving; Churches, Fundraising Appeals/Campaigns, as well as experience in managing the operational aspects of fundraising. We are seeking an experienced fundraiser with a passion for our mission to equip our organisation with the financial resources needed to meet our objectives, by growing our charitable income across all funding streams, maximising supporter engagement, and fulfilling fundraising operational duties such as ensuring that we have a database that is organised, up to date and fit for purpose.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop deliver and monitor a fundraising strategy for Pecan.
- Establish systems, procedures, proactive stewardship, and an engagement programme to provide the highest levels of service to Pecan's supporters.
- Assist with setting up our CRM database, developing and maintaining it to ensure efficient, appropriate data capture and analysis for the purpose of effective stewardship, fundraising and communications.
- Develop an Individual Giving and Acquisition strategy that drives growth for individual giving across multi-channel campaigns and initiatives.
- Pioneer and develop a broad range of relationships with churches, organisations, and denominations across Southwark.
- Management of a part time Partnerships Manager with responsibility.
Essential Requirements:
- 3 years charity fundraising experience or evidence of very relatable experience.
- Experience / understanding of fundraising campaigns.
- Experience working on either eTapestry, Raisers Edge, Salesforce or Donorfy CRM systems.
- Ability to connect and network with a wide range of people through a broad variety of communication methods.
- A good level of general education including GCSE Maths and English plus A-levels or equivalent.

THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Membership and Marketing Manager to join our small but busy Digital team on a fixed term contract for up to 12 months. Reporting to the Director of Engagement and Communications, you will be responsible for the membership and marketing function within the RCSLT to support and engage with our members at all stages of their careers. This is a Maternity Cover post that sits within the Engagement and Communications Team where you will lead and promote our external facing products, campaigns and services. As Membership and Marketing Manager you will be responsible for managing the delivery of member engagement plans, ensure consistent communication with our members internally, plan and deliver activities to promote SLT as a career and support the overall engagement and communications strategy.

The ideal candidate will have marketing qualifications or extensive marketing experience, have strong knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce is desired), excellent IT skills and knowledge of email marketing systems. The candidate must be highly organised, self-motivated with a positive approach to all situations and be confident in presenting to stakeholders. EDUCATION FOR ALL MOROCCO transforms the lives of marginalised girls, in the High Atlas mountains, enabling them to fulfil their potential, reducing social injustice and inequalities, improving the quality of life for women, and their communities.
Prior to the Al Haouz earthquake in September 2023 EFA funded six boarding houses, enabling young women to access senior school education. Five boarding houses were destroyed. Astonishingly, no girls or staff were in them at the time.
We are unashamedly ambitious to build on EFAs transformational work over the last two decades. Our Covid Recovery Strategy focussed on widening our impact, and the earthquake has just made us even more determined to deliver on our promise, because we have never been more relevant.
Due to the extraordinary generosity of donors, we have funding in place to support a major rebuilding programme. However we don't want to simply rebuild. Due to covid and the earthquake there is a lot of catching up to do.
As Head of Fundraising & Communications you will work with the trustees to deliver the strategic vision, by developing and implementing a successful fundraising and communications strategy. A new website is under construction and the successful applicant will play a leading role in determining its fundraising functionality, content, and messaging.

The Campaign Manager will lead on all aspects of the day-to-day delivery of Invest for Change, our flagship ethical finance campaign, as well as working with others to shape the future of our ethical finance work.
We have developed a campaign strategy that is delivering a steady stream of changes in policy and practice in universities across the UK. The Campaign Manager will build on this momentum, continuing and further developing our work educating, empowering and organising students to mobilise university investments towards a just, decarbonised economy for all.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading on the delivery of Invest for Change and other ethical finance projects and campaigns as required
Engaging and upskilling students and Students’ Union officers on positive investment, such as through delivering our annual summer Ethical Finance trainings. Provide them with ongoing, hands-on and tailored support to help them progress ethical finance within their institution
Plan and deliver sector-wide ethical investment campaigns on critical social and/or environmental justice issues, including coordinating university engagement with investment managers and investee companies, gaining media attention for these initiatives.

The position:
You will manage our Volunteer team, requiring exceptional communication, a natural affinity for people management and organisation, and an ability to inspire people to get involved with our work. You will be responsible for the overarching strategy and success of the Volunteer Program.

Hours:
This is a temporary 12 month maternity cover, full-time position over Monday to Friday.
From 1st July 2024 we are piloting a four day working week across the whole of the UK organisation. This pilot is planned to run for 12 months, at which point a decision will be made by our Board of Trustees as to whether this will become permanent. Success of the trial relies on the organisation being able to achieve the same or improved level of impact in four working days as five, with staff experiencing either the same or improved levels of wellbeing.
During the four day week pilot, working hours for this position will be reduced to 30 hours per week, spanning Monday to Thursday, with no reduction in salary. This will be a temporary change to the contractual terms for the successful candidate. The appointed person must be prepared to increase their working hours to 37.5 hours per week if a return to a five-day working week is decided. In the event that THL UK considers before the end of the trial period that the trial is having an adverse operational impact, we reserve the right to bring the trial to end on one month’s notice.
Who you are:
Volunteers will be your passion. You’ll have a deep understanding of the importance of this kind of supporter and how to best steward their specific experience and manage their unique needs. You'll understand how to best manage and recruit volunteers, mobilising our UK wide network effectively both remotely and on the ground in order to create change. You’ll know how to best communicate and engage with them in order to make the most out of their time and efforts. You are someone who wouldn’t ask volunteers to do something you wouldn’t do yourself and you’ll ideally have some kind of experience of campaigning in a paid or voluntary capacity (e.g. attending protests).
Someone with previous line management experience is desirable, as you’ll need to be able to effectively manage and lead your team of direct reports.
As a member of the Leadership level of the organisation, you’re someone who can meaningfully contribute to organisation wide decision making, thinking holistically and strategically across teams.
As the manager and leader of your team, you’ll have demonstrable experience of organising several deliverables or projects, which involve multiple teams, at any one time.
You can forward think strategically and collaboratively, considering the volunteer program as well as the work of other teams, setting realistic timelines with this in mind and meeting deadlines reliably.
You’re adaptable, and can work nimbly, with desirable experience working specifically within a campaign environment in some way, where things can change quickly and unexpectedly.
You’re someone who can keep your cool in challenging situations, being able to problem solve and reprioritise with ease to lead your team to success, even when things change at the last minute. You are able to continually evaluate and identify areas of improvement for the volunteer program, recognising key opportunities to evolve and adapt for the best possible impact for animals.
Home based, you’ll have a strong ability to work independently, but you’re also someone who can work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Duties:
Management
Manages the Lead Grassroots Campaigns Coordinator and the Volunteer Program Administrator

Strategy

Develop and manage all plans and overarching strategy for our Volunteer team, including volunteer stewardship, recruitment and grassroots activism on the ground, ensuring the day to day is delivered effectively by the team

Work together with the Head of Programs to develop and guide THL UK Volunteer strategy and activities, identifying key priorities and strategies to further the program

Be an active member of the Programs department Leadership team, working closely with other managers within programs and the Head of Programs to deliver department goals

Be an active member of the wider Leadership team across the organisation, contributing to organisation level decisions and working to ensure effective strategic alignment, ensuring Volunteer work is communicated successfully and opportunities for collaboration maximised

Volunteering

Lead our volunteer program to ensure our volunteers take action with us and remain engaged

Ensure the Volunteer team organise effective and engaging actions and opportunities for our volunteers which contribute to our campaigns, working particularly closely with the Campaigns team

Determine overarching training strategy, recruitment and internal processes for the volunteer program as a whole, with supporter experience at the heart

Oversee our volunteering policies and procedures and their successful implementation, including regular reviews

Ensure volunteering remains at the heart of what we do, you identify a diverse range of opportunities for our volunteers to get involved with across the entire organisation which ultimately contribute to campaign success, and high satisfaction amongst the volunteers themselves

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering our Inclusion and Climate Justice (I&CJ) initiatives. You will work closely with the Director(s) of Inclusion and Climate Justice to manage key projects and campaigns, develop consultancy work, and support the successful delivery of our EDI strategy. This role is an exciting opportunity to drive inclusive and equitable change in the sustainability and education sectors. You will be part of the team behind the unique RACE Report in the UK and its upcoming Europe-wide version. As a Senior Project Manager you will be organised, self-starting and have experience of managing a small team. Inclusion and Climate Justice Responsibilities
- Ensure the availability of relevant resources and guidance for the I&CJ team.
- Work with the finance team to manage budgets and expenses.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on programme impacts.
- Develop strategic and operational direction with the Director(s) of Inclusion and Climate Justice.
- Provide training and development opportunities related to I&CJ programme delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Programme Management and Delivery: Lead and manage core I&CJ programmes, including The RACE Report, consultancy, training, and the mentoring scheme. Ensure high-quality data collection, analysis, and reporting for these programmes.

- Stakeholder Engagement and Representation: Act as an ambassador for SOS-UK at sector events, conferences, and meetings. Develop and maintain positive relationships with key individuals, stakeholders, and partners.
- Consultancy and Funding: Develop and provide consultancy and training to enhance inclusivity in sustainability departments. Secure grant funding and oversee the successful delivery of funded projects.
- Cross-Directorate Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with colleagues across SOS-UK to deliver on cross-cutting priorities. Develop promotional materials, digital content, and contribute to press releases and media responses.
