Job description

The Quality and Progression Lead will play a vital role in maintaining and developing the excellent standards of teaching, learning and assessment at High Trees. We engage around 700 learners a year in the Education and Training team, working with adults with diverse needs who are returning to learning to upskill for employment, wellbeing or confidence.

In this role you will lead a team of tutors who work in the community, teaching a range of subjects including ESOL, Functional Skills, employability and wellbeing. You will need to be approachable and committed to supporting the tutors to deliver excellent standards of teaching and learning that result in strong achievement and progression for learners. You will deliver engaging training for the tutors to help them deliver the best standards of teaching and promote and grow their strengths as a diverse team. High Trees is a small, inclusive and welcoming environment. You will work closely with learners, listening and acting on their feedback. As part of a small, friendly and efficient Education and Training team, you will work collaboratively to ensure that provision has learners at the heart of the delivery.

Benefits of working at High Trees

  • 35 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays and 3 Christmas days) rising by 1 day each year after 2 years’ service (capped at an additional 8 days)
  • Enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave after 2 years’ service
  • Save money off a new bike with the Cycle to Work scheme
  • Up to 7% contribution to the staff pension scheme
  • 24/7 Employee Support Line
  • Clear pay structure with yearly increments (based on performance)
  • Annual staff away day
  • Premium eye-care vouchers through Specsavers and season ticket loans
