The role also includes responsibilities as a Class Tutor, where you will take an active role in the academic, pastoral and personal development of a group of pupils. You will act as a key point of contact for parents, contribute to pupil reviews, and ensure that registration periods are purposeful and supportive.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership within the classroom, effectively managing and supporting additional staff, including trainees and teaching assistants. About the role
Working across the BES journal portfolio, the Publishing Assistant will:
- Check in new submissions of scientific papers to ensure that manuscripts are complete and authors have adhered to journal policies before passing manuscripts on to Editors for content evaluation.
- In collaboration with the editorial team, monitor progress on manuscripts in the submission system to identify and help resolve potential bottlenecks in peer review.
- Assist in managing the journal inboxes, dealing with straightforward manuscript-related messages from authors, reviewers and external editors.
- Ensure that accurate records are maintained in the submission system on the processing of all manuscripts.
- Carry out post-acceptance checks on manuscripts and liaise with production team when requested, particularly during periods of annual leave for editorial office colleagues.
- Assist in regular performance statistics reporting across the journal portfolio.
- The post holder will also have some opportunity to learn about other aspects of editorial office management, including journal development and marketing and support promotion of articles via social media accounts and press releases.

Lead high quality professional development and school improvement programmes in our Pathway programmes and Open Learning for groups of teachers. These may be delivered in person, online or in school.

Fundraising at the Sutton Trust
We are seeking a dynamic and driven fundraiser to be our Trusts and Foundations Manager. The Sutton Trust is at an exciting point in our organisational journey, with a new Chairperson and ambitions to significantly grow our impact and fundraising as part of our 2030 strategy.
Over the past five years the impact of the Sutton Trust has increased, especially in our programme numbers, securing a relatively stable income of c.£6m over a number of years. In recent years this has grown to c.£7m, and our organisational strategy to 2030 will continue this fundraising trajectory to increase income to £12m. Trusts and foundations income currently accounts for c.37% of our fundraising, and we know there is considerable enthusiasm and opportunity in the grant-making world for building strategic partnerships with us.
Our fundraising approach will continue to focus on driving towards major gifts and strategic multi-year partnerships, leveraging a range of drivers to secure Trust, Foundation and Statutory support.
The Role and Team
As Trusts and Foundations Manager (maternity cover), you will be an experienced, proactive relationship manager and fundraiser. You will be confident in delivering high quality reporting and stewardship to a wide variety of Trusts, Foundations, Statutory and organisational donors, as well as proactively approaching funding prospects and preparing applications to secure funds.
We have strong relationships with a range of trusts and foundations, and over the fixed term contract period we are looking for a confident fundraiser to manage and support a portfolio of funders as cover for a maternity leave within the Development team.
The role will contribute to growing the portfolio of Trusts, Foundations, and organisational donors (predominantly at the five-figure level), while also providing strategic support on grant management of our major six-and-seven-figure Trust and Foundation partners. This will include compiling key reports and supporting the gathering and analysing programmatic data. You will work closely with colleagues across both the Development Department, including the Development Director, and the wider organisation.
Main duties
New Business

Undertake prospect research into trusts and foundations, statutory opportunities (contracts or grants), and organisational funders in collaboration with Trusts and Foundations colleagues, and other senior staff and senior volunteers. This includes identification, due diligence, qualification, and creating briefings and outreach plans.

Work with Trusts and Foundations colleagues to cultivate a prospect pool of potential donors, looking at lapsed supporters, the prospect pipeline, stakeholder network mapping through the Board and Trustees, as well as funders with an active interest in education / social mobility.

Submit compelling funding proposals and reports to mid-level trusts, foundations, statutory and organisational donors to secure income (predominately at the five-figure level) for the Trust. Work alongside other Development team and wider organisation members to ensure high-quality submissions.

Alongside team members, manage the shared Development inbox to ensure all enquiries are dealt with in a prompt, consistent, and friendly manner.

Follow all relevant policies and processes to ensure due diligence is completed for prospective donors and that income projections and plans for the portfolio are kept up to date.
Account Management and Development

Person Specification

There are two parts to the Primary Science Mentor role. The majority of the role will focus on strengthening primary science teaching and leadership by leading our third Priority Areas initiative in North-West England. Job Purpose
The Researcher will support the Patient Evidence department in generating, analysing and communicating patient-centred evidence to inform clinical, regulatory, industry, academic and policy decision-making, and to fuel progress across MPE programmes and activities. The role involves working with qualitative and quantitative data, supporting research projects and contributing to evidence-based outputs that amplify patients’ experiences and needs. The Patient Evidence department conducts our own patient-focussed research and collaborates on external projects with patient and medical organisations, universities, clinical teams, industry partners and regulatory bodies.
Main Duties and responsibilities
Perform the following duties in conjunction with and under the guidance of the Head of Patient Research:
- Independently design research projects and develop research protocols aligned with MPE’s research strategy, including surveys, interviews and literature reviews.

About the Patient Evidence department
The MPE Patient Evidence department was established in 2020 to generate evidence to better understand and articulate patients’ perspectives, influence decision-makers and use evidence as a driving force for progress across our strategic goals. The team is led by Dr Eilidh Duncan and our goal is to lead the development of robust patient evidence to improve experiences, outcomes and access for myeloma patients and their families. We achieve this by spearheading novel patient research initiatives that address gaps in the evidence and ensure the meaningful inclusion of patient perspectives in research design, conduct and interpretation. We use the evidence we generate internally to fuel progress across all MPE programmes and activities and externally by decision-makers including those in clinical, regulatory, industry, academic and policy settings.

Background and Contract
This is a role that promises good growth potential, with the chance to work across multiple geographies. The position of Junior Impact Analyst, at Bridges Outcomes, will support education projects funded by Sustainable Development Goals Outcomes Fund (SDG OF).

Role Purpose
The Junior Impact Analyst will be accountable for:
· Providing hands‑on Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) guidance to in‑country delivery partners (national and international NGOs), ensuring practical, context‑appropriate monitoring systems that drive performance improvement.
· Coordinating closely with delivery partners to track milestones, validate outcome achievements, and ensure timely submission of evidence required by the Outcomes Fund commissioner.
· Enhancing the data capabilities of delivery partners, with a strategic emphasis on effective decision-making.
· Developing practical performance‑management tools and forecasting models that help anticipate delivery risks and guide course‑correction.
· Creating and disseminating actionable insights and learnings to support delivery partners and internal teams, emphasizing strategic problem-solving to enhance outcomes.
· Ensuring that delivery partners within the programme adopt data-driven approaches to continuously refine and improve service delivery.
· Leading and standardizing data analysis efforts across programmes, driving improvements in services, systems, and processes through collaborative work with the team.
· Spearheading the development of templates and process frameworks that empower delivery partners to achieve operational excellence.
· Overseeing and fulfilling comprehensive reporting requirements, including the preparation of impact assessments and reports for commissioners and the board.
· Ensuring MEL systems meet programme‑level compliance requirements, including data quality assurance, verification readiness, and alignment with commissioner standards.
· Strategically supporting financial processes by overseeing invoicing and budgeting to enhance financial efficiency and sustainability of projects.
Key responsibilities
Delivery Impact
· Co‑develop MEL frameworks with delivery partners, ensuring indicators, tools, and data flows are realistic for community‑level implementation and aligned with programme outcomes
· Facilitate collaboration among data analyst teams from delivery partners to proactively address challenges and co-create solutions aimed at enhancing service delivery
· Follow up with delivery partners on activity completion, milestone progress, and evidence submission, ensuring timely and accurate reporting into programme systems.
Process Improvement
· Lead strategic initiatives to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
· Refine and adapt existing working files and tools to optimize usability and performance, while evaluating current practices and identifying opportunities for substantial improvements.
· Identify opportunities for process automation and improving utilisation of management data
· Strengthen MEL processes within delivery partners, including data collection protocols, field supervision routines, and feedback loops for continuous improvement.
Data Analysis
· Deliver high-quality statistical analysis and comprehensive impact reports to engage diverse stakeholders and provide meaningful insights that include short, medium, and long-term projections for enhanced programme impact.
· Ensure the relevance and effectiveness of data dashboards by integrating early warning systems to highlight priority areas for action.
· Translate data into practical performance insights for delivery partners, highlighting operational bottlenecks and recommending corrective action
· Provide mentorship and strategic oversight to M&E teams within delivery partners, ensuring the effective completion of roles and responsibilities.
· Maintain meticulous attention to detail and ensure high standards of grammar and accuracy in all documentation.
Data Integrity
· Collate and update volumetric and programme data and systems, continually developing and refining data collection processes.
· Strengthen data reliability by enhancing data flow from beneficiaries through to final reporting.
· Conduct periodic data quality checks with in‑country CSO teams, ensuring accuracy of field‑level data and alignment with verification requirements
· Ensure compliance with data protection legislations when retaining and sharing information.
· Identify opportunities for process automation and ease of access to information.
Impact Presentation
· Deliver consistent, aggregated representations of project performance against targets, ensuring clear and compelling presentations.
· Partner closely with the Programme Director and Manager to create and deliver engaging and accurate programme outcome presentations.
· Tailor communication to suit varied audiences, including formal presentations for high-level stakeholders.
Relationship Management
· Collaborate with Analyst colleagues to streamline data processes, minimizing manual interventions where possible.
· Build strong working relationships with in‑country CSO teams, providing supportive, capacity‑building engagement that strengthens MEL practice and operational delivery
· Work collaboratively with finance and investment teams to monitor programme invoicing and maintain awareness of the intersection between outcome achievement and the financial status of the project.
· Actively contribute to stakeholder meetings and forums, demonstrating focus and attentiveness to discussions
· Support the Operations Lead and Senior Impact Analyst in ensuring delivery partners meet commissioner compliance requirements, including documentation, evidence standards, and reporting timelines.
Experience, Skills & Abilities
To take on the above responsibilities, we will be looking for you to demonstrate strengths in the following competencies:
· 1 to 2 years relevant post-graduate professional experience in education, international development, consulting, or similar sectors.

· Experience working directly with in‑country civil society organisations (not only HQ‑based teams), ideally in education, early childhood development, or community‑based programming
· Experience supporting performance management processes—tracking milestones, monitoring delivery progress, and coordinating with partners to resolve delivery challenges.
· Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, follow up on partner deliverables, and maintain compliance with funder requirements.
· Previous Power BI experience would be advantageous.
· Ability and desire to travel to Sierra Leone and similar contexts.

The Communications Manager role is critical to achieving our national expansion ambitions. We are excited to be able to recruit for this specialist role to develop our brand and lead the investment in our communications and marketing capacity.
Objectives
To develop and implement a communications strategy that supports the organisational expansion strategy as well as growth in the three key areas of school recruitment, volunteer recruitment and fundraising performance.
Developing high-quality communications content and stewarding key external relationships in support of organisational comms work.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop audience specific communications strategies and work with departmental managers to deliver targeted campaigns to recruit volunteers, school partners and new funders.
- Produce high-quality written, visual and digital content translating our impactful work to be accessible, engaging and audience/channel specific.
- Develop close and supportive relationships with external ambassadors and other allies, in support of organisational communications work.
- Track engagement across media channels and email marketing, and produce monthly reports for leadership team showing activity
- Continue the development of our new website, including monitoring analytics.
- Support freelancers, interns and internal colleagues to design high quality video, social media, print and digital material
- Drive storytelling initiatives by sourcing and sharing case studies and impact stories that inspire donors and the wider public.

Person Specification
- 3 years’ experience within a digital communication role
- Excellent copywriting skills with an ability to craft clear, engaging content for different audiences to tight deadlines
- Experience with digital advertising and promoted social media posts, analysing trends, reviewing efficacy, and adjusting campaigns in real time
- Good knowledge of the digital and social media landscape and emerging trends.
- The ability to simplify complex concepts into plain, compelling English.
- Proven experience working in an editorial capacity, developing compelling copy for online audiences, with a varied portfolio of written work
- Experience of digital content creation, commissioning and management
- Proficiency newsletter creation, working to tight deadlines, collaborating with other departments, and using mail clients
- Experience of managing suppliers, partners and contributors
- Familiarity with design software for creating digital assets, such as Canva
