Leading the Education partnerships team, responsibility for the development of all Educaiton customers and for maintaining the income generation and young people targets in line with the overall Trust strategy and annual requirements.

This a senior management position which is responsible for the strategic direction and the leadership day to day operation of our extremely busy Education Team. The role requires you to be strategic but pragmatic, balancing the mission and purpose of The Trust with tactical day to day delivery of Sales support and partnership working across the organisation.
You will manage a team of up to ten direct reports, and will also need to build strong relationships across The Trust with fellow Senior Managers and Directors, and most specifically with our Centre Management teams, Fundraising and Marketing Teams. You will need to balance carefully the needs of our internal and external customers, allocating time and resources accordingly. Also, The Trust has a new strategic plan looking at growth of the number of young people we work with, including the recently launched Schools Adventure Programme.
Your experience
We would love you to have a strong background in Sales with proven effective results but also having commercial acumen and experience, with the ability to think and act strategically. You will have a minimum of three years experience of leading, managing and inspiring teams. A supportive approach to the development and coaching of the team is an essential element within this.
The ability to work confidently and flexibly across all Trust departments, supporting where required.
A solid knowledge of the Education Sector for both Scotland and England as well as proven relationship building skills, and enjoyment of working collaboratively across departments and at all levels through effective communication.
Working for the Trust requires a Flexible ‘can-do’ attitude to workload, able to multitask and re-prioritise projects at short notice.
Areas of repsponsibility
- Leadership and management of the Education Team, providing direction, challenge, support and development as appropriate. This will also involve coaching and supporting the team in their professional development, as well as in the management and execution of sales targets.
- Development and ownership of The Education Team’s annual revenue target, specifically looking at Charitable funding levels, volumes and occupancy levels across all centres.
- Ownership of and responsibility for all aspects of the Education sector, ensuring that all aspects of marketing, sales, customer service, delivery and finance are reviewed and implemented to a high standard with the overall objective of informing greater impact for the clients
- Working collaboratively with Early Careers Business Development and Summer Adventures to share ownership of the current capacity levels. Ensuring optimum fill and a responsible client mix.
- Building strong relationships internally and externally. Developing and supporting the Education Team with new initiatives and lead generation ideas.
- Supporting the centre operational teams to have clarity of the sector and a deeper awareness of the Education teams role and focus.
- Ownership of the Education cost centre budget, including the development of return on investment data wherever possible.
- Optimising the use of all internal CRM systems and associated reporting for management purposes.
- Contributing to the work of the wider senior leadership team as required, including attending and contributing to senior team discussions, acting as an ambassador for The Trust at events and conferences, supporting colleagues in other areas of The Trust’s work.
Location: Home-based with average 1 day per week in head office / centre location. The role will include considerable travel.
Settling in period
There is a 3-month settling in period from contract start date.

Work experience at Unifrog
In 2022, we launched the Unifrog Placements tool with just a few schools and colleges, and it’s now being used by over 45% of UK schools and has facilitated over 350,000 placements since its launch. The Placements tool makes it quick and easy for schools and colleges to administer work experience, virtual work experience (VWEX), work shadowing, and internships, all in one central place on the Unifrog platform. The more schools that sign up to and get started with Placements, the closer we can get to levelling the playing field for all students.
What you’ll do
As the Work Experience Lead, you will provide outstanding customer support for school and college partners using our Placements tool. You’ll be the first point of contact for any queries about the tool, resolving any issues partners, parents or employers have with the process. You’ll also be responsible for training individuals, tracking the engagement and impact of the Placements tool across our partner schools. You’ll be keeping Account Managers up to speed on this throughout the academic year.
Key responsibilities:

Manage incoming queries about our Placements tool via phone call and email.

Keep Salesforce records up to date after any interactions with partner schools and colleges.

Continually suggest and streamline our Work Experience processes using feedback from our partners.

Analyse engagement data, trends and notable issues on Placements usage and share this data with Account Managers and the wider UK management team.
Additional responsibilities:

Proactively look for opportunities to continue improving our platform and support of Work Experience within schools and colleges. For example, reviewing survey responses to identify potential tweaks or process improvements.

Support the UK Partner Success Team during busy periods, e.g., uploading school data onto the platform and troubleshooting any issues partner schools and colleges are experiencing.

Proactively work to foster a sense of community amongst our Unifrog partners and consider how we can promote the sharing and embedding of Unifrog best practice.
Working together
You’ll work alongside the Partner Success Leads and the wider UK schools and colleges team. You’ll also have contact with our Data, Marketing, and Finance teams.
You’ll report to the Head of Partner Success.

About the Role
As Finance Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day finance functions of the organisation, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all financial activities.

You’ll also collaborate closely with the Director of Finance and Resources to strengthen financial systems and prepare for future growth — including line management of a new Finance Officer from April 2026.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day finance functions and month-end processes.

About You
You’ll bring:
- AAT qualification (or equivalent), or qualified by experience.

- Experience producing draft management accounts, reconciliations, forecasts and budgets.
- Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Office 365 (especially Excel).
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
- A proactive and organised approach.
- Experience of managing people and building collaborative relationships with stakeholders internally and externally.

On other days, you may be travelling to a corporate partner to run a business simulation workshop for 15 year-olds or leading a group of final year primary school students on a campus visit for their graduation.
As an Education Worker, you’ll always be delivering the programme as part of your centre team, which means that any delivery is always a team effort.

The Jobs, Education and Training (JET) team works with young people facing homelessness to support them into meaningful and appropriate employment, training opportunities, apprenticeships, volunteering, and education. As part of our delivery, we have developed a weekly ESOL group for young people looking to improve their spoken English, many of whom are young refugees and asylum seekers. Your role would involve the planning, preparation and delivery of these non-formal education sessions as well as delivering wider 1:1 JET casework. The Campus Accommodation and Hospitality Manager will lead a team of reception and housekeeping staff to deliver and administer a full range of campus services. As well as providing an efficient and welcoming reception service, this includes the management of meeting rooms, accommodation booking, achieving and maintaining high standards of housekeeping, and overseeing contracted catering and refreshment services. The postholder will be part of a committed staff team, giving and receiving support to deliver the operational needs of the Foundation in a way which reflects our ethos of hospitality, care and community.
This is a full-time role, with some evening and weekend work during weekend residentials and other events. The postholder will also participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota.
Key responsibilities
1. To manage the delivery of accommodation and hospitality operations.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors from diverse backgrounds and denominations.
- Oversee the day-to-day running of hospitality services including accommodation, catering and menus, and support for conferences and events.
- Represent the staff team on hospitality matters at the Foundation’s residents’ and community forum meetings

- Support marketing for events, conferences, and other campus activities
- Oversee the Hospitality team to ensure effective administration for the smooth delivery of hospitality for teaching, residentials, events and conferences.
- Oversee room bookings, check-ins/outs, ensuring smooth turnaround of all accommodations between occupancy.
4. Procurement
- Manage procurement for hospitality goods and services in consultation with the Management Accountant and the Director of Operations.
- Monitor costs and implement efficiencies while maintaining quality.

YOUR EXPERIENCE
- Excellent communications skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external professionals. A strong understanding of the apprenticeship and graduate development programmes, and talent pipelines.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail, able to manage multiple projects and maintain consistent follow-up.
- Confident in presenting to clients, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences (HR, L&D, operational teams, senior leadership).
- Good negotiation and influencing skills.
- Experienced in LinkedIn / LinkedIn Sales Navigator for prospecting and building connections within early careers networks.
- Proficient in Microsoft systems and CRM tools.
- Knowledge of or interest in experiential learning, leadership development, and outdoor education is an advantage.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Secure mainly new and some key repeat business to meet personal, and team, quarterly and annual targets.
- Lead on developing new partnerships within key industry sectors for Apprentice, Graduate, and Emerging Leader programmes.
- Undertake client learning needs analysis to understand early career development goals and challenges.
- Produce compelling proposals that align Outward Bound programmes with organisational objectives.
- Represent Outward Bound at early careers events, conferences, and employer network sessions.
- Maintain accurate client records via our CRM system and ensure timely follow-up and reporting.
- Liaise with internal delivery and marketing teams to ensure client needs are met and opportunities are maximised.

About Chapter One
Chapter One is a small but growing charity, working to ensure that every child has 1:1 reading support at the time they need it most.
Our Early Literacy Intervention (ELI) programme provides daily, tailored 1:1, 7 minute phonics sessions for children who are behind in phonics. Using a bespoke technology tool that can be aligned to any school phonics scheme, a trained Early Reading Interventionist works individually with target children. We currently have ELIs working in 11 schools in London, East Sussex and the West Midlands, with plans to expand. Data from 2024-25 showed that children receiving ELI support had a phonics screen pass rate of 95% (10% above school cohort averages).
Chapter One also offers a unique Online Reading Volunteer programme which currently supports about 3,500 children a year. It pairs struggling five to seven-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who come from over 170 local and national businesses. The volunteer pledge is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. About the role
Working 30 hours per week over 5 days, for 44 weeks a year, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our Early Literacy Intervention (ELI) programme in the UK. You will manage a team of part-time ELI practitioners, visiting them regularly in school to provide supervision, quality assurance and support. You will lead on the relationships with schools involved in the programme: organising and overseeing programme delivery; sharing regular data summaries and ensuring pupil progress. As the programme grows, you will also be responsible for the recruitment and training of new ELIs.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has recent experience of teaching and/or leading phonics with an excellent understanding of phonics pedagogy and the ability to train and develop our ELI practitioners. The successful candidate must be willing to travel to the schools we work with, initially in (but not limited to) London, East Sussex and the West Midlands.
Key Responsibilities
Staff management
- Lead and manage a team of Chapter One Early Literacy Interventionists (ELIs) to effectively deliver the Early Literacy intervention programme in schools.
- Visit ELIs in school regularly to provide supervision, quality assurance and support.
- Recruit, train and induct new ELI practitioners as required.
- Design and create training materials for new ELIs.
- Provide annual training for teachers who have pupils taking part in the programme.
- Conduct monthly supervision meetings and annual appraisals of ELI practitioners and clearly document these.
- Lead the fortnightly ELI meeting, supporting with any issues which may arise.
Programme delivery, school liaison and evaluation
- Ensure ELIs baseline each pupil when they begin and track pupil progress throughout the year.
- Proactively monitor session numbers in all schools and support ELIs to increase session numbers if necessary.
- Conduct termly data meetings with schools to share data trackers and ensure that schools are fully informed about pupil progress.
- Lead on the documentation of key processes and step by step guides for the ELI team and ensure that these processes are followed.
- Analyse pupil data both for ELI pupils and non-ELI pupils to produce reports and identify trends, sharing with the Evidence and Impact Manager as required.
- In collaboration with the Schools Development Manager, conduct annual renewal conversations with partner schools.
Platform development
- Be the first port of call for ELI practitioners for the operation of the Chapter One Early Literacy platform, escalating issues as necessary.
- Liaise with the platform development team to feedback on platform bugs and areas of improvement.
- Proactively identify new directions for the development of the platform, in line with the latest pedagogy and research on early reading, and liaise with the Product Manager and development teams as required.
General responsibilities
- Liaise with Managers in all other departments as required.
- Participate in business planning and objective setting and attend the School and Parent Engagement group meeting each term.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Grants Operations Manager plays a central role in ensuring the Maitri Trust's grantmaking processes are efficient, compliant, and supportive of both our team and our partners. You will coordinate operational workflows across the grants pipeline, manage high-volume application cycles, and ensure seamless communication between applicants, reviewers, and internal teams. You will also ensure efficiencies within our current active grant portfolio, ensuring that reporting and systems are set up to be as effective as possible. Working closely with colleagues across Programmes, Operations, and Impact & Engagement, you will help build and maintain the systems that enable our grantmaking to deliver maximum impact.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Grant Operations Management
- Review and improve operational processes for managing the current active grant portfolio to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coordinate the implementation and smooth running of workflows across the full grant management lifecycle, including open and closed calls.
- Manage and coordinate high-volume application cycles to ensure smooth and timely processing.
- Facilitate clear communication between current partners, applicants, reviewers, external providers, and internal teams to support effective grantmaking.
- Prepare regular updates and reports for the leadership team and Maitri Trust Board of Trustees.
Grant Processing & Review
- Co-lead the operational design and delivery of open calls with the Head of Programmes.
- Configure and test the Fluxx grant management system to optimally support open call processes.
- Maintain high quality standards in application processing, proactively identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Draft, customise, and send outcome notifications and feedback to applicants.
- Manage escalated correspondence and queries from applicants and partners as needed.
- Coordinate the timely assignment and review of applications throughout the funding pipeline, ensuring shortlisted applications progress smoothly through review and approval stage.
- Maintain application processing quality standards and identify process improvement opportunities.
System Management, Grant Administration and Contract Management
- Act as System Administrator for the Fluxx grant system supporting its end-to-end management.
- Coordinate the due diligence relationship with external provider, consolidating internal technical and financial due diligence.
- Oversee protocol on information/records management, ensuring information is appropriately recorded and archived in accordance with data protection requirements.
- Monitor and report on application numbers, quality metrics, and process performance and regularly report on these to the Maitri Trust team and Board of Trustees.
Collaboration and Support
- Work closely with the Head of Programmes and Grants Portfolio Manager to ensure seamless grant management of both new and current grants.
- Deputise for Head of Programmes when required.
- Back stop Grants Portfolio Manager on key partnership management as necessary.
- Undertake occasional travel to support partners on-the-ground, providing operational assistance as needed.
YOUR SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND PROFILE
Essential
- Minumum 5-7 years of experience in grant operations, grant management, or related roles within international development, philanthropy, or a funding organisation.
- Strong operational and process design skills, with a track record of managing high-volume application cycles, compliance workflows, and grant systems.
- Experience with grant management systems (ideally Fluxx), and confidence in configuring and optimising digital tools for process efficiency.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain high attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting guidance, documentation, and reporting for diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with open call funding processes, including application review, due diligence, and contracting stages.
- Comfortable working across teams and functions, especially in roles that bridge programmes, finance, and external financial compliance.
- Ability to work across time zones and to occasionally travel within the UK and internationally.
Desirable
- Understanding of data protection regulations and experience managing data and records in line with compliance standards.
- Knowledge of monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems, and how they integrate into grant cycles.

The Fundraising Operations and Data Manager is a newly created role in our Fundraising team. They will be responsible for managing the charity’s CRM (Salesforce) and working with colleagues across the team, and wider organisation, to ensure the smooth operational delivery of fundraising processes and activities.
The Fundraising Operations and Data Manager will provide data and donor insights to help identify trends and opportunities that contribute to shaping fundraising campaigns and enhance our stewardship.
Key responsibilities include:
- Be responsible for the overall management of the Salesforce CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data entry. This includes processing donations, pipeline updates and managing data imports, exports and migrations to support fundraising activities.
