Job purpose:

The post holder will support the Digital Content Manager in implementing the Association’s digital strategy. They will create web content that is user focused, accessible and optimised for search engines. They will maintain a content schedule, coordinating activities across the organisation and will build relationships with a variety of subject matter experts. They will support the Digital Content Manager in managing the Association’s digital channels.

The postholder will play a key role in supporting the management of the Association’s digital campaigns and tracking and reporting on digital campaigns to guide improvements. They will create and edit digital designs for use on web, social media and email platforms and be responsible for working with colleagues across the Association to provide digital insight and training.

This role is based at our head office at 21 Portland Place, London. We offer a hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of 2 days in the office per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital

• Support the Digital Content Manager to review, develop and update the Association’s current website, and take a key role in the project to work on development of a new website.
• Support the management of the online community forum.
• Support the management of the Association app and any additional projects undertaken to further develop it.
• Act as a contact point with support agencies to swiftly resolve issues and to follow up developments.

Communications and social media

• Write and collate (including copyediting and proofreading where necessary) high quality, engaging content in line with agreed content priorities.
• Ensure content follows the Association’s brand guidelines, tone of voice and style guide.
• Work with colleagues to prepare, send and report on email campaigns on their behalf.
• Manage the Association’s social media presence, with the aim of reaching an increasingly broad audience.
• Create and edit digital designs for use on web, social media and email platforms, including filming and editing simple videos.
• Coordinate a digital content schedule across all channels for the organisation.
• Keep abreast of the latest innovations in digital communications and make suggestions for new ways of promoting the Association work and messages online.

Reporting

• Analyse campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising social media, content marketing, SEO and social advertising campaigns.

Essential

• Proven experience in a digital communications role 
• Proven experience of using website content management systems (working knowledge of the DNN platform is desirable), including writing, preparing and uploading content, maintaining the backend and working with developers to develop functionality and solve technical issues
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
• Excellent attention to detail 
• Extensive experience in online copywriting and publishing 
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

The Role

What will I be doing?

• Managing a portfolio of public engagement events, including the delivery of the summer exhibition in Dublin each year and public engagement events across NI, Scotland and Wales
• Working with colleagues from across the organisation, particularly those in the Membership and National teams to support member led or member involved approaches to public engagement, with members supported and enabled to deliver appropriate activities that impactfully contribute to the IOP’s strategic goals.
• Support the development of public engagement content that demonstrates the value of physics and its applications to our lives and the full range of career and education pathways that can be accessed through doing physics
• Support the evaluation of Public Engagement Events to ensure the ongoing improvement pf our programme

Please note that this role will require significant travel around the UK and Ireland to deliver its remit. We particularly welcome applications from outside London and the South East of England with this in mind.

• Managing events and activities across the UK and Ireland that connect families with physics
• Developing new, novel and exciting resources that convey the relevance of physics to our daily lives

You will be part of a small policy team and work with colleagues across the organisation as well as with senior internal and external stakeholders. You will work on a range of policy and public affairs issues relating to literacy and disadvantage, including mapping and responding to Government policy, writing internal briefings, helping to develop external facing policy reports, organising Parliamentary and party conference events, serving as the key contact for the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Literacy and arranging meetings with MPs and Peers. We are recruiting for a Head of Education and Content - an experienced project manager and resource designer who will oversee the development of education materials and teacher training content at The Politics Project. 

ABOUT THE POLITICS PROJECT

We support young people to use their voice by providing them with outstanding democratic education. We work with young people, teachers and politicians to help them to learn, teach and engage in politics. We are a non-partisan organisation working across the UK. 

We also coordinate the Democracy Classroom network, a partnership between over 100 civil society organisations that supports young people to engage in elections. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

Working with schools, sixth forms and further education colleges, the Head of Education and Content will support them to prepare for the lowering of the voting age to 16 and to engage their students in elections and democratic education.

The post holder will design and adapt resources, practitioner training, events and activities as well as manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders across the further education and civil society sectors.

Working with the Director and the Head of Programmes, the post holder will:

• Collate, source and design learning resources for school and college teachers to use to support their students to engage in elections and democracy.

• Support, build and manage relationships with schools and colleges.

• Provide teachers and practitioners with training and e-learning around election and democratic education.

• Oversee evaluation and monitoring, producing reports where required. 

The job is based on a 16-month contract, with likely extension (including a 6-month probation period). 

The Politics Project is based in London, and the post holder will be expected to work from the office at least two days a week. The hours of work are 37.5 hrs per week. Occasional travel to elsewhere in the UK and working unsocial hours in evenings and at weekends may be required. This is a fast-paced role in a small but growing team.

There will be a requirement to work closely with the income generating staff, budget holders, auditors, banks and credit card providers on a regular basis.  The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the Finance Officer and Finance volunteer.

The Head of Education and Community Engagement is a key leadership role, providing strategic and technical direction for SPANA’s education, community engagement and Social Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) work. The role

Due to the continued expansion and sustainability of our programmes, we are seeking a new team member to support our next period of growth in the new 2025-2026 academic year.

You will be a consumate account manager to support our skills and employability programmes designed in partnership with industry. You will work collaboratively with our corporate and industry partners to support teachers and students in schools and further education institutions access a range of TTF educational programmes.

*Hybrid working

This is a hybrid role. You will be working from home and will join our Team Together Days in a co-working space in London a min of 1 a month, up to a max of 3 per month. These days are considered commuting days. We are seeking a dynamic Policy Officer to join our policy team, to support our lobbying and advocacy work, raise the profile of specialist FE with parliamentarians and represent the views of members. The work is varied, including monitoring parliamentary activity, undertaking research, meeting with members, helping to prepare consultation responses and analysing government proposals and published policies. The postholder will also take a lead in communicating Natspec’s policy positions to members and other stakeholders.

The main duties of the role include:

• Monitoring parliamentary and media activity to alert the Natspec team to relevant issues
• Maintaining and developing Natspec’s parliamentary database, increasing links with MPs and ministers
• Undertaking research to support Natspec’s policy work
• Preparing news stories, press releases and social media content, and identifying media opportunities to promote Natspec’s work and policy positions
• Working with Natspec member colleges, supporting them in their local lobbying work, and establishing network meetings
• Supporting the Senior Policy Manager and Senior Policy Officer with consultation responses, reports, publications, articles and data analysis.

We are looking for a self-motivated, innovative, dynamic and enthusiastic individual with good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to develop strong working relationships. You don’t need to have a background in learning difficulties or disabilities or further education, although a demonstrable interest in these areas would be welcome. You should, however, have some prior experience of policy work, including undertaking research and analysis, understand parliamentary processes, and be able to quickly develop your understanding of education and funding policy relevant to specialist FE.

While you will be home-based, you will be in frequent contact with your colleagues both online and in-person and there will be plenty of opportunities to work outside of the home, attending meetings and visiting colleges. You will need to travel to London on a regular basis. You must be able to work flexibly, sometimes under pressure, and thrive on the unpredictability of policy work. 

Fight for Peace is a global organisation that uses sport and martial arts combined with education, employability training, and personal development to address violence and support the development of young people in communities affected by crime and social inequality.

PURPOSE OF ROLE

We believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, and this role is crucial in providing the targeted support they need at a primary level. The Primary Intervention Manager will lead and coordinate the delivery of all primary intervention services within the academy. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, skilled relationship builder, and have a deep understanding of the challenges faced by young people. The role also carries significant responsibility for safeguarding, acting as a lead in this area. The successful candidate will bring strong safeguarding expertise, with an in-depth knowledge of UK safeguarding legislation, statutory guidance (including Working Together to Safeguard Children and Keeping Children Safe in Education), and best practice in youth work. As a member of the Academy Management team, the postholder will contribute to the academy’s vision as a centre of excellence, actively supporting Fight for Peace policies, practices, and values.

Grants operations and data manager

Salary - £54,963 - £64,124 pro rata

The grants operations and data manager is a newly created role, within Moorfields Eye Charity's grants and research team, to support, manage and develop grant funding operations. This is a really exciting time to join the team as this position will play a key role in the ongoing optimisation of the teams grants management system (Flexigrant, implemented 2024) and also the underpinning funding operations to support the delivery of our first grants strategy, due to be launched in early 2026.

We have ambitious plans. We have put into action a five-year business plan that is supporting our growth from raising and funding around £6 million annually to becoming a £10 million a year charity.

This is an exciting opportunity for the grants operations and data manager to bring passion and experience to our dedicated team, ensuring we have robust and effective processes to select and award the most impactful projects and programmes, and enable the monitoring of outputs, outcomes and impact.

Experience in grants management is essential and the successful candidate will be able to think creatively, plan, solve problems, and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.

You will be joining a supportive grants and research team who are committed to ensuring the charity has robust grant making mechanisms to determine best use of charitable funding together with monitoring and evaluating projects and programmes. 

You will be involved in optimising the grants management system and funding processes, driving effective data collection and reporting, and corresponding work-flows. The role is highly collaborative, requiring you to develop professional working relationships with stakeholders at various levels. It will suit a candidate who is dynamic and ambitious, confident delivering change, and in taking initiative.

About you

You will have an established track record in grant-making, ideally in a health or medical research charity. You will have experience in the full life-cyle of grants management and the delivery of grant-making programmes, working with complex data and databases. You will also have a keen interest in improving operational processes and developing/analysing reports for data driven grant making activities and showcasing the impact of funding.

You will be an effective communicator, able to build confident working relationships at all levels. You will bring strong interpersonal skills along with the ability to work collaboratively and to influence, lead others in matrix style working.
