We are looking for a passionate and ambitious Head of Fundraising to lead and grow our voluntary income. Your focus will span the full range of fundraising activities, from statutory and trust funding to developing and increasing income across major donor giving, legacies, corporate partnerships, and individual giving.

As Head of Fundraising, you will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to increase philanthropic support and voluntary income. You’ll lead our efforts to diversify and grow income streams – securing support from individuals, corporates, and other partners – with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and long-term impact. You’ll be part of an organisation where you can see the direct effect of your work on the services we deliver to keep children safe.
You will lead and support a small team, bring fresh thinking and strong relationship-building skills, and work closely with project leads to ensure our funding reflects real needs and delivers real impact. You will be able to combine strategic and commercial awareness, with hands-on delivery.
This role will give you the opportunity and responsibility to build on our successful fundraising and extend our appeal to new donors as well as maintain our existing supporters. You will need demonstrable fundraising experience and the ability to work confidently as a strategic thinker as well as a practical fundraiser. You will come with strong ideas and skills to implement them.

About the role
The Maritime Lead Trainer will plan, manage and deliver all maritime apprenticeship programmes and adult skills qualifications and to enable learners’ successful achievement and progression.
Key Responsibilities
- To plan engaging and effective face to face and remote teaching sessions for all apprentice and adult learner programmes.
- To teach and assess the knowledge and practical skills required to meet apprenticeship standards in line with own expertise.
- To conduct workplace observations and carry out progress reviews for apprentices
- To devise and mark vocational assignments in line with awarding organisation requirements.
- To provide constructive feedback, guidance and tutorial support for apprentices and learners
- To oversee other peripatetic trainers as required in the delivery of programmes
- To maintain a compliant learner journey in line with DfE and Ofsted standards
- To be the administrator and manage the Google Classroom virtual learning environment.
- To create learning resources, making best use of AI and digital tools to support apprentice and adult learning programmes
Requirements
- Proven track record of teaching apprenticeships and/or vocational qualifications in the last five years
- Strong understanding and knowledge of maritime sector technical training e.g. MCA, RYA
- Good understanding of post 16 regulatory standards and awarding organisation quality assurance processes
- Teaching or training qualification at level 3 or above
- Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and online meeting platforms

The team works with unpaid Adult Carers, Young Adult Carers and Young Carers, completing statutory and holistic assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need. You will carry out home visits and community meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Unpaid Carers, families, and professionals.
You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Unpaid Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Unpaid Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

Background and summary of the job
The Minster Centre is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee that provides training in psychotherapy and counselling and an affordable therapy service.
It was founded in 1978 as the first Integrative psychotherapy and counselling training in the UK and is a leading psychotherapy training institution. Now based in Queens Park, NW London, it runs training ranging from open access introductory courses to post-graduate degrees validated by Middlesex University. The Minster Centre caters for around 300 diploma and MA students each year. It is registered with the Office for Students.
The Minster Centre Psychotherapy & Counselling Service (MCPCS) also provides a safe, affordable and professional counselling service to people over the age of 18 who are experiencing a range of difficulties. We strive to offer a high-quality and affordable Psychotherapy and Counselling service to the community and to offer our trainees an experience underpinned by our values.
The Minster Centre Psychotherapy & Counselling Service Administrator will work with the Clinical Services Manager and one other Administrator to ensure the smooth running of the service and support in its continuing development.
Role purpose
Enquiries
- Dealing with phone and email enquiries including potential MCPCS clients, existing clients, trainee therapists and placement providers, etc.
- Emailing Assessment Application Forms, assessing suitability of enquirer for service – asking for additional help when required from the Clinical Services Manager.
Administration
- Providing strong administrative support to the Clinical Services Manager.
- Providing regular detailed data information to the Clinical Services Manager, including reports from Access Database and future Charitylog data systems about functionality of service.
- Inputting and updating student data spreadsheets and client spreadsheets relating to client session fees, providing reports and liaising with students, finance team and clients to ensure all session fees are up to date and reporting on any missed payments weekly.
- Administer MCPCS processes and procedures for instance by designing forms and records formats, ensuring they are available to students, supervisors and clients. Ensuring the service has paperwork available to operate effectively: Assessment packs; Allocation packs; student forms.
- Inputting data from paper records and managing electronic records. Keeping data management up to date and archiving files as and when appropriate.
- Assisting Clinical Services Manager and other senior leadership in overseeing MCPCS, with additional tasks as and when requested.

Terms and conditions
Salary: £14,045 pro rata (17.5 hours) - £28,090 FTE (35 hours)
Hours: 17.5 hours per week. Candidates must be available to work on Thursdays.

An exciting opportunity to be involved in the development of a growing adult literacy charity as it expands across Central England
One in 20 adults in the UK has never learnt to read at all. This can have a serious impact on their confidence and wellbeing, limiting access to training, employment, and everyday opportunities that many take for granted. Being unable to read as an adult can be isolating and dangerous, reinforces social inequality, restricts economic growth, and worsens intergenerational disadvantage - but it is never too late to learn.
Read Easy helps adults transform their lives by learning to read. It does this by supporting its growing network of locally run, volunteer-led affiliated groups that offer free, confidential, one-to-one reading coaching—both in person and online to adults - aged from 18-88.
With its free, flexible, confidential approach, Read Easy encourages people who are too embarrassed to join a class to come forward for one-to-one support. Each new reader is provided with their own personal Reading Coach, so that they can learn in private and at their own pace. Learning to read transforms their lives in many other ways as well, including enabling them to support their children’s and grandchildren’s reading, and so transfers the benefits to the next generation.
There are currently 80 affiliated Read Easy groups across England, together involving more than a thousand volunteers. Read Easy UK is the registered charity and umbrella organisation which supports this network of affiliated volunteer groups and provides the structure, training and support to enable volunteers to establish groups in new areas.
As our Central Regional Adviser, your role would be to provide strategic leadership, guidance, and oversight to ensure that all volunteer groups consistently deliver high-quality services aligned with Read Easy UK’s strategy.
You will support local volunteer leaders to strengthen group performance, and foster collaboration across affiliated groups, so that that they deliver coaching to Readers with consistent quality, and a positive and worthwhile experience is had by all.
You will also find volunteers to ‘pioneer’ three new groups in the counties where there is no Read Easy presence in the East and West Midlands and East of England and provide them and our 29 existing groups and pioneers in the region, with high-quality support. Your quality support will ensure that they provide the same for their volunteers and new Readers. From meeting (mostly online) with Team Leaders to provide one to one support, and hosting online and annual in-person volunteer forums, to delivering presentations and occaisonal training for small groups of volunteers, this is a dynamic and rewarding role.
This is a home-based post requiring flexibility, some early evening working and occaisional travel to visit groups. The role is available on either a full or part time basis (min 32 hours p/w, 85% of 37.5 hours p/w FTE).
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Live within one of the following areas: West Midlands (Defined as the 7 metropolitan boroughs of Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall, and Wolverhampton), Warwickshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire or Rutland;
- have been employed to work with volunteers for at least two years;
- have strong people management and interpersonal skills; excellent communication skills; and the confidence to run meetings and deliver presentations.

First Give is a national charity that empowers young people to make a positive difference to the causes they care about. Team Administrator
We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive and motivated administrator who would like a varied role. The successful candidate will provide cross-departmental support and administrative support to the Director and Senior Leadership Team. Providing support to the First Give team, primarily the SLT

The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) are one of the main partners for the London Borough of Waltham Forest, delivering activities which connect people and greenspace. The successful applicant will work with the London Borough of Waltham Forest representatives, Friends of Parks groups and local people, with the aims of improving nature conservation, health and wellbeing, through social engagement, gentle exercise and connectivity with the outdoors.
TCV are seeking an enthusiastic, confident and experienced person to join our London Health & Education team for this important post. The Project Officer will lead the delivery of three key areas of work in the borough:
1. TCV's Green Gyms - Lead the delivery of weekly nature conservation volunteering sessions for people (with a wide range of abilities), through the TCV Green Gyms at Leyton Jubilee Park (Thursdays) & Lloyd Park (Fridays). The post holder will actively seek new volunteers to attend the TCV Green Gyms, through continual engagement with local social prescribing partners, social media promotion & local advertising of activities. They will also continually recruit and train volunteers to ensure they have the maximum opportunity to develop their skills and experience.
2. Friends of Park support - Support the capacity building & training of the Friends of Parks groups across the borough, which may include anything from organising an external first aid trainer to deliver an event, to you organising & leading a workshop on how to create & manage a wildflower meadow or working to support them on a practical activity. 3. The Project Officer would also lead corporate volunteering days, likely to take place at the Meridian One Community Garden & Tree Nursery in Enfield.
The post holder will mainly deliver core activities independently, although they'll work closely with the existing colleagues in Waltham Forest, to ensure local people receive the best possible experience. They'll be occasions when there's a need to work extra hours, including evenings & weekends, such as during Love Parks week, which takes place each July & during family events at the community garden (approximately 6 weekend days a year).
The post is full-time for 35 hours per week. The Project Officer will be based in TCV's community garden in Upper Edmonton, Enfield. The community garden has an office from which the post holder will be expected to be based 3 days a week, in order to administer this project. There will be regular travel across Waltham Forest & occasional travel across London, for training & meetings. A full driving licence is desirable but not essential.

The Rehabilitation of Offenders 1974 (Exceptions) (Amendment) Order 1986 applies to posts where there is access to children. Education, Qualifications and Training
