Role Purpose
This is an exciting opportunity for a fully qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner to work within a multi-disciplinary, early intervention Mental Health Support Team (MHST) to increase and improve emotional wellbeing (5-18 years) and mental health provision within education settings.
You will be part of a Third Sector team of colleagues with a variety of qualifications and experiences who are passionate about supporting all children and young people to access the right support at the right time, including where children may have been excluded, have additional needs or are not attending school.
We may also be able to consider applications from qualified Children’s Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs), CAMHS practitioners, or other children and young people specialist practitioners with relevant qualifications.
You will have a caseload of children and adolescents with mild to moderate emotional and mental health difficulties and will deliver evidence-based and time limited 1:1 and group interventions, employing the principles underpinning the national CYP-IAPT programme (Children and Young People’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies). Low intensity interventions (e.g. CBT guided self-help) will be delivered in a range of education settings (primary, secondary, special, alternative provision and sixth form and further education colleges). Work will include psychoeducation sessions to a range of stakeholders, including children and young people, parents/carers and education staff, promoting a whole school approach to mental health. The role runs throughout the year, and you will be part of our holiday provision, ensuring we can support children all year round.
You will work with people from diverse backgrounds, using interpreters when necessary, and will have a commitment to challenging health inequities, and increasing access to our services for all young people. You will also work closely with colleagues and partners in the Local Authority, CAMHS, education settings where interventions are being delivered and other relevant mental health providers.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering Interventions and Client Care
- Assess and develop evidence-based intervention plans to meet the mild - moderate needs of CYP with a range of mild – moderate emotional and mental health difficulties, with the support of your supervisor
- Work in partnership with children, young people, their families and educators in the development of plans, agreeing interventions, goals and outcomes
- Support children and young people, their parents/carers, families and educators in the self-management of presenting difficulties
- Deliver evidence-based, low intensity 1:1 and group interventions for CYP aged 5-25 with mild – moderate emotional and mental health difficulties
- Ensure that at all times assessment and intervention are provided from an inclusive values base, which recognises and respects diversity
- Undertake accurate assessments of risk to self and others, with support from your supervisor Maintain comprehensive records of all training and intervention activity
- Complete all requirements relating to data collection and report clinical outcomes and service access data into the digital patient record system, CYP IAPTUS

The Opportunity:

Summary of the position
Epic is looking for a Development Manager to support the activities of the UK Development Team to help us ‘make giving the norm’.
The Development Manager will work with the UK Director in our small team in the UK, as well as working closely with colleagues in Paris and Brussels.
This position offers candidates the opportunity to develop their skills across a range of fundraising disciplines including corporate fundraising, major donor engagement, events, and philanthropy.
This position will work with a deeply engaged team in an international environment. Given the versatile nature of the responsibilities and the small team size, candidates will need to show demonstrable flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to take ownership and work independently.

Key Responsibilities :
With support from the UK Director, the Development Manager will work collaboratively with the Director and wider UK team and Development colleagues in Paris and Brussels to execute the fundraising strategy in the UK. The Development Manager is a key role in a small team, and will contribute new ideas, networks and results to help us meet our income targets and therefore create more positive impact for children and young people globally. More specifically, the key responsibilities of this role are outlined below.
1. Business Development (65%)
- Lead prospect research and outreach efforts to expand Epic’s prospect donor pool in the UK: monitor the fundraising ecosystem, conduct in-depth prospect research and engage in proactive outreach campaigns through LinkedIn, emailing, digital networking and in-person events. This will include attending early morning and evening events as required.
- Set conversion objectives and support conversion from leads to donations
- Identify and secure lead opportunities within networks and events
- Pitch Epic and its various Giving Solutions to potential donors, and build tailored proposals when needed
- Maintain high discipline and consistency in follow-up with leads and donors: use Epic’s CRM to build a consistent pipeline of prospects, as well as maintaining the database with accurate and up to date donor information
- Evaluate and monitor the return on investment (ROI) of events and fundraising campaigns
- Prepare compelling fundraising communications, materials and presentations for donor meetings and events
2. Nurturing & engaging the UK Community (20%)
- Contribute to Epic’s engagement strategy for current donors to ensure an 80% renewal rate
- Maintain regular touchpoints with a subgroup of donors through activities such as sharing monitoring reports, organising project visits and volunteering opportunities in the UK, and scheduling regular calls and face to face meetings.
- Act as the main point of contact for a subset of donors and answer their enquiries in a timely manner
- Craft and manage engagement opportunities such as UK events and webinars, including drinks, talks, breakfast events, and provide support to the organisation for the annual gala nights. Support will be provided for certain events by our in-house dedicated Events team.
3. Fundraising-related administration (15%)
- Manage donor-related administrative tasks, such as regular use of Epic’s CRM (Salesforce), donation forms, meeting preparation, minutes (where applicable), and
- Process all donations, using Salesforce and related donation platforms, in a timely manner each month
- Liaise with international fund vehicles, such as Myriad USA, to ensure all international donation commitments are fulfilled.
Position Requirements :
- Candidate must have the right to work in the United Kingdom
- Excellent level of English (both spoken and written) required
- Proficiency in French (written and spoken) highly desirable
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales, fundraising or business development role, with demonstrable experience of securing 5- and 6-figure gifts
- Experience within the charity sector is desirable but not required
- Experience using software packages such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Canva and other applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to attend external events (including evening events) and comfortable networking with a variety of people across different communities
- Experience with a CRM is required and preferably some experience of using Salesforce
- Strong self-discipline and project management skills
- Excellent organisational skills and a strong eye for detail
The Epic UK team is a small but dedicated team. The role requires flexibility and a start-up attitude. This is a full time, permanent position, based in the London office with the opportunity for two remote working days each week. This role reports to the UK Director and will involve closely working with Epic’s global development team, as well as with the Engagement, Programs, Marketing and Communications, and Operations teams.

The Research Initiatives Manager is a crucial role at the College, as you will work closely with senior clinicians to lead a series of projects and activities to feed into the development and delivery of child-health research initiatives. The initiatives include research awards, research events and research capacity and capability building, by embedding academic skills into the paediatric workforce and enabling academic research.
As Research Initiatives Manager, you will also lead on the RCPCH Genomics Programme which aims to develop and deliver a series of resources and activities related to supporting the preparedness of our membership for the era of genomics medicine.
Based within the Research and Evidence team, you will be the operational lead for relevant Committees and working groups, acting as a representative of the College to represent the views of paediatricians, whilst ensuring timely reporting of progress to Project Boards.
You will also build and develop relationships with external stakeholders and work with the Head of Grants and Partnerships to identify sources of funding to support future work within the Research and Evidence remit.
With a degree or equivalent experience with a research, health science, life sciences or genetics/genomics component, you should have a proven understanding of the national funding landscape and infrastructure for clinical research.
An expert at providing senior project leadership, you should have experience of collaborative ways of working across multidisciplinary teams and programmes of work, along with demonstrable experience of producing high quality written reports, documentation and promotional information suitable for a range of audiences.
With excellent organisational skills and an ability to adopt an orderly and precise approach to work, paying careful attention to detail and the ability to follow standard procedures and ways of working, you should also have demonstrable programme management skills, and be capable of working autonomously and taking personal responsibility for your projects.
Knowledge of research methodology, including data analysis, along with a background of organising workshops and events and an understanding of the genomic medicine landscape, would be desirable.

Main Purpose
The RCOphth provides education, support and professional development for ophthalmologists of all grades and across all of their roles. It also contributes to education in eye care and ophthalmology for undergraduate medical students and practitioners in other medical specialties and ophthalmic professions. The RCOphth aims for all its audiences to be able to access the ophthalmology education they need, when and where they want it, and in the form most appropriate for the learner and the learning material.

You will work closely with colleagues and editors/co-editors to ensure that this membership benefit is valued by the membership and external audiences and their experience when using the platform is optimised.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of the INSPIRE digital learning platform (Brightspace)
- Work with Editors, Co-Editors, Instructors and Contributors on the production of high-quality digital learning materials in terms of content, level and educational rigour

- Provide support to Editors and Co-Editors in loading resources onto the INSPIRE platform and integrating them to create learning materials. This will entail formatting and editing text, images and video for house style and grammar whilst maintaining medical/scientific accuracy.
- Checking consent and clearing copyright/licensing permissions for materials used in INSPIRE.
- Organising Editor and Co-Editor meetings and workshops.

Communications/Liaison

Industry
• Work collaboratively with partners, The Professional Jockeys Association and The Injured Jockeys Fund.

What you’ll do
As one of our first Primary Schools Partnership Managers, you’ll play a key role growing our newest partner base and supporting primary school partners to make the most of the Unifrog platform and resources. Excellent customer service is at the heart of what we do, and you’ll make sure that all interactions with Unifrog are positive and successful.
Your key responsibilities:
Sell Unifrog subscriptions to primary schools

Design and deliver impactful prospecting campaigns and marketing collateral aimed at engaging potential new partners, tracking campaign performance and continually improving your approach to secure demonstrations and drive partnership growth.

Meet with potential partners on video calls (and sometimes in-person). Understand their priorities, demonstrate the Unifrog platform and resources, and secure their subscription.

Identify and attend conferences and events to promote Unifrog to primary school audiences, while networking and cultivating relationships for future partnership opportunities.

Develop a sound awareness of Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) and the PSHE Association Framework within the UK. You’ll need this to confidently navigate conversations with relevant contacts at primary schools.
Support primary school partners to make the most of Unifrog

Set up new partner schools for success. Help them to embed Unifrog across their staff, student and parent community. You’ll deliver an initial staff training session then provide ad-hoc support.

We are seeking an Education Lead to create a step change in the scale and impact of our education work. The post holder will lead Wikimedia UK’s work with the education sector, focusing on secondary schools, and including universities and non-formal education.

Purpose of job
To lead Wikimedia UK’s work with the education sector, focusing on secondary schools, and including universities and non-formal education. Create a step change in the scale and impact of our education work.
Main Duties
1. Programme Development and Delivery
- Lead on the development and delivery of Wikimedia UK’s education programme, in collaboration with the Director of Programmes and Evaluation and other colleagues
- Build on our learning from past and existing activities across Wikimedia UK and the wider movement to develop and roll out a new Wikimedia and information literacy programme for the UK’s secondary school sector; adapting this for the four nations as appropriate
- In conjunction with other Programmes staff, support the delivery of information literacy projects within higher education, through existing and new strategic partnerships as well as smaller projects and interventions such as Wikimedia in the Classroom courses
- Develop and deliver a range of information literacy activities
- Seek opportunities for new partnerships within the education sector, and grow existing relationships with potential delivery partners, for example within the cultural sector
- Work with the Development team and other staff to identify and follow up funding opportunities for existing or potential projects
- Support other staff within the Programmes team in their own work with the education sector
2. Sector Advocacy
- Promote the importance of media and information literacy skills to digital citizenship and civic engagement, and demonstrate Wikimedia’s value in developing those skills through running targeted interventions and disseminating our research and outcomes
- Advocate for a strong focus on media and information literacy skills in schools and university curricula, and work with other staff, partners and allies to campaign for public policy initiatives and investment to support these skills across society
3. Monitoring, Evaluation and Impact
- Run and evaluate the pilots of our work in schools
- Report regularly on programme plans, outputs and outcomes, in collaboration with other staff in the Programmes team
- Handle documentation and record all relevant programme metrics. Update CRM records for partnerships, volunteers and activities
4. Communication and Dissemination
- Write blog posts, create case studies, and generally contribute to the promotion and dissemination of our work and impact, in collaboration with the Communications team
- Engage in public speaking opportunities on behalf of Wikimedia UK in promoting our work, as required
- Engage with other Wikimedia organisations, sharing our education work and peer-learning
Experience

BACKGROUND

Through your work, you will help us ensure Syrian communities have the education and medical care they need, every day, and when emergencies strike – this is critical as Syia begins to rebuild following the fall of Assad in late 2024. Action Syria has over a decade of experience working with local partners in the Middle East making a positive difference to over 25,000 people affected by conflict, displacement and natural disaster annually. We seek a competent, confident and skilled communications and marketing specialist to help deliver ambitious plans for the coming years, increasing our profile and expanding our audiences.
Working closely with the CEO and the fundraising team, you will be responsible for delivering our Communications & Marketing strategy, making sure it integrates with our fundraising strategy, and critically, considers the broader vision for expanding our audience. You will set appropriate targets, key performance indicators and measure progress against these. As a small and mighty team, we seek a reliable communications expert who is pro-active, inspiring and really loves what they do. We are positive, creative and ‘hands-on’ and hope you are too.

Responsibilities
1. Lead the Communications and Marketing function and strategy:
- Review and refine our Communications & Marketing strategy to ensure it is fit for purpose and responsive to the new chapter unfolding in Syria, positioning us as a leading voice among charities engaging in the region;
- Work with Head of Development to ensure the C&M strategy integrates with our fundraising strategy, driving impact, building trust, and ensuring sustainability; and
- Set targets and milestones for the C&M Strategy to measure progress against.
2. Manage our annual communications plan:
- Produce engaging and meaningful content for communications and marketing purposes, including copy and graphics
- Write and publish key communications throughout the year, e.g. blog posts and newsletters (Mailchimp) to maintain a strong profile and grow our support base;
- Manage social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, scheduling regular, high-quality posts, and managing Meta Ads, to engage existing and new audiences;
- Create engaging digital content, with input from the team on messaging and purpose, to raise Action Syria’s profile and support our fundraising and marketing campaigns;
- Work with the fundraising function on Action Syria’s digital fundraising strategy, with a focus on optimising donor journeys; and
- Support the team with asset design for fundraising campaigns where required.
3. Act as guardian of Action Syria’s brand, ensuring it is fit for purpose:
- Develop comprehensive brand guidelines, in line with our recent rebrand; and
- Ensure website is current, appropriate and enables us to reach strategic and fundraising goals.
4. Develop strategic engagement with media:
- Build on press list and cultivate relationships to enhance Action Syria’s profile
