The Learning without Limits Academy Trust is looking for ambitious, committed, and motivated volunteers, who share our values and passion for inspiring education, to become a governor, joining the Local Governing Body at one of its five academies.
The Role
The LGB and Board of Trustees as a whole are collectively responsible for the success of the academy. The LGB’s:
- provide support and challenge with regard to the strategic approach which drives the operation of the academy in terms of learning, standards, safety and wellbeing.
- act as a critical friend to the Principal and to advise the Trust Board about local issues they need to consider that affect the academy
- represent the interests of the academy community in the running of the academy and to represent the academy in its community.
- engage with pupils, staff, parents and the wider academy community to understand their views
in their role, Governors:
- attend four LGB meetings each year.

Founded in 1997, the Islington Centre for Refugees and Migrants provides a place for refugees, migrants, and people seeking asylum to rebuild their life with support and community. From classes to casework to financial assistance, the Centre has a wide offering available for our community of over 200 people. We are looking for one Trustee & Deputy Chair to join our Charity Trustee Board to support the Union through its next steps. The Person

Finance Experience:

Chairing Experience:
- Ability to deputise for the Chair, and chair meetings of the Board
- Ability to build a strong and effective working relationship with the Board of Trustees Chair
- Ability to foster, maintain and ensure that constructive relationships exist with and between the Trustees
- Assist and support the Chair in providing leadership to the Board, through the governance arrangements, and also acting as a ‘sounding board’ and confidante to the Chair in the execution of their role

The Role
We are looking for a Research Volunteer to join our Fundraising and Communications Team. You will help identify trusts, foundations, and potential partnerships to secure funding for Baca’s vital work.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and record details of trusts and foundations eligible for funding.
- Use online databases and Charity Commission resources to verify information.
- Present findings in an agreed format for the Grants Manager.
- Research potential partnerships and complete pro forma templates.
- Prepare letters of introduction.
- Maintain clear communication with the team.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in desk-based/internet research and using databases.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email systems.

Key Responsibilities

The Bird of Prey project is seeking new Trustees to join our Board and help guide the next phase of our growth and impact. The Bird of Prey Project is a multi-award-winning visitor attraction and registered charity in Bath, Somerset. Our visitor centre is home to 22 resident birds of prey and owls, and we run multiple conservation and education programmes. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to advocate for wild birds of prey and the ecosystems they live in, as well as to improve the welfare of raptors in captivity in the UK.
We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience in:

Commitment:
The Board of Trustees meets six times a year, usually in the evening, at or near The Bird of Prey Project, Newton St. Loe, Bath. Attendance via video conferencing is also supported. The Diana Award are thrilled to invite you to volunteer for our Mentoring Programme in Spring 2026, which operates across London.
We collaborate with volunteer mentors to support young people aged 14-18 who are at risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) through mentoring interventions, career skills development programmes, and support with their youth-led social action projects.
WHO CAN VOLUNTEER AS A MENTOR?
We welcome applicants of all industries and levels of experience. Through mentoring you will gain skills in communication and leadership, building empathy and understanding of issues and barriers facing young people in their communities.
OUR MENTORING PROGRAMMES
We will be running our exciting Twelve-week Mentoring Programme from March - July 2026, across London, in the boroughs of Enfield, Hounslow, Southwark, Redbridge, and Sutton.
The programme will involve:

Twelve weeks of in-person weekly mentoring sessions that last one hour (excluding travel) and are delivered on the same day and time each week.

Group mentoring, where a group of volunteer mentors work together to support a group of mentees, with the help of a Diana Award Facilitator.

Volunteer mentors will share advice and guidance with young people who are at risk of becoming NEET.
We will train you to mentor and provide ongoing support for the duration of your programme.
The Diana Award can provide you with a professional reference, paid for DBS check, and refund your travel expenses in exchange for your voluntary work.
