We’re recruiting a forward thinking, strategic and compassionate Head of Family Services to lead the development of our support services delivered by our team of Family Support Workers to families of children and young people with cancer in the East Midlands. This is a newly created role and a key position in our small, impactful charity.

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in family support, health or social care, excellent people and communication skills, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of families facing childhood cancer.

The post holder will have direct line management responsibility for our team of Family Support Workers and Family Services Co-ordinator, providing leadership across service development, staff wellbeing, safeguarding, partnership engagement, and impact reporting. They will be responsible for ensuring that the team is supported through adequate training and supervision.

Partnership building with organisations and professionals will also form a part of this role and the post holder will build strong relationships with stakeholders across the health, social care and voluntary sectors.

Home based. Regular Teams and face-to-face meetings with travel to Leicester, Nottingham, and locations across the East Midlands required.

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a new Operational Director of Children's Services within TACT Fostering. This role will be responsible for overseeing five of TACT's Registered Area offices spanning three nations.

Women at the Well is a support service for women based in the King’s Cross area of central London. We provide practical support and advocacy to women facing a wide range of disadvantages, and we have a specialism in working with women whose lives have been affected by prostitution and/or sexual exploitation. We are trauma informed, holistic and woman-centred. We deliver our mission through three interconnected services:

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Fundraiser to join our friendly team. We seek someone who feels passionately about our mission, to help us to drive income and ensure Success Club can continue to change lives, by building strong engagement with our donors and fundraisers. You will build on our past successes by managing existing relationships with, and making new grant-applications to Trusts and Foundations. We are a small core team and ideas are welcomed! You will identify new avenues for fundraising, and help us explore a growing portfolio of community support, to ensure the best possible experience for individual supporters and donors.

As Fundraiser, you’ll be the first point of contact for all inbound fundraising enquiries—whether by email, phone or at in-person events. You will nurture relationships with our existing individual and corporate supporters and identify and cultivate prospective donors.

You’ll be proactive and organised, passionate about delivering outstanding supporter experiences, and will have a strong understanding of the charity sector. Familiarity with fundraising databases or CRMs is also a plus.

The role will involve representing Success Club at occasional meetings and events, where you’ll be well supported by our existing team of Trustees and the CEO & Business and Operations Manager. There may be occasional out-of-hours work required. You’ll be a strong communicator and natural networker who enjoys building relationships and presenting.

■ Strategic Communications – Delivering compelling, high-quality written applications, proposals, and reports to funders, alongside excellent verbal communication with stakeholders and partners.

Fundraising Executive Responsibilities

■ Deliver Against Fundraising Targets – You will work to a pre-agreed fundraising target, with a focus on generating income through writing high-quality funding applications to trusts, foundations, and corporate partners.

■ Be a Welcoming First Point of Contact – Provide a professional and helpful response to all supporter and donor enquiries across phone, email, and in-person interactions.

■ Individual Donor Strategy Development – Design and implement innovative and tailored supporter journeys to retain and grow donor engagement, particularly for high-value funders.

WHAT IS OUR SECOND HOME

We are a youth movement that empowers people with refugee backgrounds to build community, become leaders, and flourish into adulthood in the place that they call home.

We are looking for a highly engaging Leadership & Volunteering Manager to lead and grow our leadership training programming, and to lead on the recruitment, development and retention of our pool of volunteers. You will work across our various hubs to ensure all volunteers are well-supported, feel valued, and are making meaningful contributions to OSH’s mission.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership Training & Development

• Oversee and continue to codify OSH’s LIT (Leaders in Training) course, including in-person and online sessions, and mentoring LITs on their first residential. This will include hands-on delivery, managing logistics, and working with volunteers and facilitators.

• Co-design and develop other leadership programmes for young people.

• Support young people from refugee backgrounds to move from participants to leaders within OSH.

• Lead the delivery of training and induction for new and returning volunteers in hubs, at pre camp training days and leaders retreats. This includes safeguarding, group dynamics, facilitating groups, and OSH values, but will also include identifying gaps and trends in skills and experiences.

• Help shape the pedagogy and outcomes of OSH’s leadership programmes.

Volunteer Strategy & Recruitment

• Ensure there is an active pipeline of people signing up for the LIT course

• Design and implement a volunteer recruitment strategy to attract a diverse range of volunteers from within OSH and externally.

• Build partnerships with universities, youth networks, and professional communities to widen reach.

• Develop inclusive recruitment materials and accessible application processes.

Volunteer Engagement

• Develop progression pathways for volunteers.

• Ensure an active culture of feedback and reflection within leadership and volunteering.

• Track volunteer impact and progression.

• Coordinate check-ins, socials, and wellbeing support for volunteers.

• Work closely with the whole team to ensure volunteer experiences are safe, rewarding, and well-held.

Operations & Evaluation

• Maintain volunteer records and communications using Beacon (OSH’s CRM).

• Monitor data on volunteer recruitment, attendance, retention, progression, and impact.

• Contribute to fundraising work, for example by ensuring there is a regular supply of case studies for OSH programmes.

• Collaborate with colleagues to share impact and improve practice.

Other duties

• Getting involved in OSH events in the evenings and at weekends, including residentials. These are overnight trips from 2 to 5 nights

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

• Excellent facilitation, training, and communication skills.

• Strong experience managing volunteer programmes and/or leadership development.

• Experience designing leadership training or curriculum.

• Understanding of and training in safeguarding in youth settings.

• A deep understanding of inclusive, trauma-informed, and youth-centered approaches.

• Experience supporting young people from marginalised backgrounds, ideally those with lived experience of the asylum system.

• Experience volunteering or working in residential programming.

• Ability to build relationships across diverse groups and inspire trust and commitment.

• Organised and systems-minded, with good project management skills.

• Confident using digital tools (e.g. Google Workspace, CRMs)

• Passion for OSH’s mission and commitment to centering people with refugee backgrounds.

• Ability to speak in other languages relevant to our community, including Arabic, Pashto, Farsi, Tigrinya, Amharic, and Oromo.

On use of AI

About Dravet Syndrome UK

Dravet Syndrome UK (DSUK) is a small independent UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by Dravet Syndrome. Dravet Syndrome is a rare neurological condition that affects around one in every 15,000 people in the UK. As well as experiencing severe, difficult-to-control seizures, children and adults with Dravet Syndrome have varying degrees of intellectual disability and a spectrum of associated conditions (known as ‘comorbidities’), which may include autism, ADHD, behaviours that challenge and difficulties with speech, mobility, eating and sleep.

The charity was founded in October 2008 by a small group of 30 families. Today, DSUK is a registered charity helping over 550 families with support, education, and research programmes, underpinned by a world-class Medical Advisory Board.

What you will bring

Essential

· Demonstrable experience in planning and delivering engaging and targeted social media content to build community, raise awareness and drive engagement.

· Hands-on experience managing websites (using WordPress), delivering e-marketing campaigns (e.g. Mailchimp or similar), and applying SEO principles and other techniques to optimise digital communications and online visibility.

Rape Crisis South London is looking for a skilled and experienced professional who is passionate about improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people. 
 

This is an exciting opportunity to lead on the delivery of the South West London (SWL) Child Sexual Abuse Early Emotional Support Service for the CYP service. Working closely with the NHS and Schools you will manage a small specialist counselling team ensuring high-quality, trauma informed support for our young people who have experienced sexual violence. It is essential that you have a good working knowledge of Safeguarding legislation for children and adults, as well as child development. 
 

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and an ability to develop partnerships with schools, families, funders and other key stakeholders. You will hold a relevant professional qualification in counselling or psychotherapy and be registered with the BACP/UKCP or equivalent. You will have significant experience of working therapeutically with children and young people, ideally in the contexts of trauma or abuse. 
 

Responsible to the Clinical Lead for CYP you will also provide additional support in the management and allocation of referrals, as well as provide additional support and advice as required to the wider CYP Service.

Join the Deighton Pierce Glynn (DPG) team as a Paralegal in either our Bristol or London office!  Deighton Pierce Glynn aim to use law to empower our clients to challenge abuses, failures, and other unlawful conduct by the government and those with power.

• The Action against the Police department’s work focuses on private law actions against state agencies including the police, the Ministry of Justice and the Home Office, as well as inquests touching upon state-related deaths and some public law cases.
• The Public Law department’s work focuses on judicial review claims against public bodies but also includes some private law work in particular against the Home Office and in relation to discrimination claims.

About the Roles: We are seeking a dedicated full time Paralegal to work in our Bristol Actions Against the Police (AAP) department and three Paralegals to work in our Public Law Department, one being based in London and two in Bristol. After 12 months provided you achieve certain criteria the job will progress to a training contract. We structure our training in this way to ensure once qualified you are able to work at a solicitor level.

London Salary: £28,400 per annum

Bristol Salary:  £26,700 per annum

JOB PURPOSE

The Senior Advisor, PPLE is a key role responsible for successfully delivering Lumos’ strategy on safe and meaningful engagement of children, young people, families and caregivers. Considering the cross-cutting nature of participation, the post-holder will work across teams to ensure PPLE is mainstreamed throughout the organisation, strengthening Lumos’ internal capacity and approaches to meaningful participation. They will ensure that Lumos programmes demonstrate innovative and transferrable approaches to participation, and that people with lived experience are meaningfully involved in national, regional and global advocacy and campaigning, as well as within Lumos’ internal governance.  

The Senior Advisor will oversee implementation of Lumos’ newly-developed PPLE Strategy – working in partnership with people with lived experience, PPLE Focal Points in Lumos’s four country offices, and other key colleagues. They will supervise and guide the work of PPLE across country teams and Lumos’s central function to develop and deliver high-quality and effective projects that achieve the objectives of the PPLE strategy.  

The post holder will also work with Global Advocacy, Communications and Fundraising colleagues and country teams to ensure that people with lived experience are well represented in national, regional and global campaigns and initiatives that inform child rights and care reform policy and programming. They will identify and cultivate relationships with relevant stakeholders in the care and related sectors, including with existing national, regional and global networks of care-experienced children and young people, to strengthen partnerships and collaboration around PPLE. The post holder will work hand-in-hand with safeguarding colleagues, acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the PPLE workstream, to ensure Lumos has, and is implementing, appropriate systems to facilitate safe and ethical PPLE that is compliant with data protection protocols. The Senior PPLE Advisor will contribute to fundraising, participating in proposal development, reporting to donors and other related activities. 

KEY OBJECTIVES

• Provide technical leadership on PPLE and oversee the implementation of Lumos’ new PPLE Strategy – working in partnership with people with lived experience, PPLE Focal Points, key staff including in Lumos country offices and external partners including participatory networks and associations. 
• Strengthen Lumos’ internal capacity and approaches to meaningful participation of children, youth, parents and caregivers 
• Ensure that participation of children, young people, parents and caregivers is embedded as a cross-cutting priority throughout the organisation’s projects and programmes 
• Develop an annual strategic plan for PPLE for 2026 and ensure PPLE is included and aligned across the plans, strategies, and projects of other Programmes teams 
• Provide supervision, coordination and capacity-building to the PPLE team, which comprises PPLE Focal Points across Lumos’ four country offices, including setting and implementing objectives, deliverables and KPIs that will motivate the team and achieve ambitious results, and monitor and track progress 
• Ensure coordination and engagement between PPLE Focal Points and organisational leadership 
• Lead on the development of country programme PPLE strategies in line with Lumos’ 2024-7 strategy, alongside PPLE Focal Points and programmes teams.
• Manage the PPLE budget to ensure objectives are met, high quality deliverables are achieved, and budgets are utilised effectively; potential of managing future PPLE grants and programmes depending on priorities 
• Collaborate with the fundraising and Programme teams to develop all project proposals with the Participation of People with Lived Experience embedded throughout, including direct engagement of People with Lived Experience in drafting proposals when appropriate  
• Develop high-quality reports, quarterly, annual, or other for both internal and external audiences, including donors, in collaboration with relevant teams and support positive relationships with stakeholders 
• Represent PPLE at a senior level internally and externally, including in meetings, working groups and committees as needed
• Build and nurture relationships with relevant stakeholders in the care reform and other connected sectors, to secure opportunities for the participation and meaningful involvement of people with lived experience 
• Oversee training and capacity building of people with lived experience so they can participate in care reform implementation initiatives and in decisions that affect their lives 
• Work with advocacy and communications colleagues to ensure that people with lived experience are well represented in regional and global campaigns, events and initiatives that inform child rights and care reform policy and programming. Advocate for and facilitate their inclusion in a meaningful, genuine and non-tokenistic manner 
• Co-ordinate the planning and delivery of external and internal participation events and activities, at national, regional or international level, for example Lumos’ participatory groups, working closely with Advocacy, Communications and other relevant teams.  
• Promote opportunities for young people to be more actively and meaningfully involved in all areas of Lumos’ work, including organisational governance, in line with Lumos’ strategy 2024-27 and the PPLE Strategy. Lead on the coordination of a Lumos Global Youth Advisory Board in close collaboration with the PPLE Focal Points and other relevant teams.
• Lead the development of training and capacity building to teams across Lumos, including ELT, to promote and enable a mainstreamed approach to PPLE 
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the participation function, working closely with safeguarding colleagues and PPLE Focal Points, to ensure Lumos has, and is implementing, appropriate systems to facilitate safe and ethical PPLE that is compliant with relevant organisational policies, including the Safeguarding Policy and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Policy, and with relevant data protection protocols
