The role will sit in the Chief Social Worker’s directorate alongside our admissions and support, curriculum and delivery teams. These teams achieve our mission through assessing participants eligibility and suitability, ensuring they are registered with our university partner in a timely way and by designing and delivering world class social work education and training.
The EDI Lead is responsible for developing and implementing strategies, programmes, and initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organisation. This role involves collaborating across teams and functions to ensure that EDI principles are integrated into all aspects of the work. They are responsible for fostering a culture of inclusion, holding people to account through knowledge and skills and create a brave space for challenging conversations.

You will have a proven track record of driving impactful EDI initiatives across the charity, private, or public sectors, with the ability to influence and inspire others through your actions and behaviours. - Being a lead facilitator for reflexive spaces for colleagues running community spaces
- Providing outreach support for minoritised participants as needed
- Contributing to the review and design of our programmes in relation to EDI content
- Reviewing and consultation on all aspects of recruitment and admissions processes to ensure fairness and reduction in bias
- To be the lead anti discrimination advocate (ADAs) and facilitate regular group meetings to check in with the other ADAs

- Maintaining apprenticeship records, including the Apprenticeship Tracking system, producing reports to monitor enrolment, completion rates, and the usage of the apprenticeship Levy
- Act as the primary administrator for the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring smooth operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting on a daily basis
- Managing and actively updating EOSONE learning platform to ensure all the learner portfolios are up to date and are accurate including off the job learning
- Supporting with the on boarding of learners on the Harris Federation main provider provision and the completion of relevant enrolment documentation, procedures, and guidance
Learner Support
- Supporting Harris Federation as an apprenticeship training provider ensuring all data held on our apprentices both internal and external remains accurate and up to date

The Grants Officer will support the Senior Manager to develop and implement monitoring and reporting
processes across the Foundation’s grant-giving activities. To be successful in the role, you must have
excellent knowledge of results-based monitoring and reporting, demonstrate strong organisational and

stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Youth Empowerment Fund (60%):
- Support the monitoring and reporting of the EU funded YEF programme. Including coordinationwithin the IAF and with the Big 6 designated leads.
- Communicating with and activating networks of national organizations to participate in the YEF,including sharing opportunities to take part in Big 6 advocacy activities and applying for youthled solutions open-call Local Solutions grants.
- Issuing of grants to successful national organizations and monitoring and evaluation, including regular reporting on outcomes and impact of national projects to the YEF project team.
- Sharing success stories from the YEF to support the Big 6 communication, storytelling and creative reporting efforts.
Other Grant based support (40%):
- Oversee grant-giving financial processes, creating and issuing of grant payments.
- Support the Senior Operations Manager with the reporting of grant activities for Senior Management and various stakeholders.
- Support the ongoing development of other Foundation grant reporting efforts as required.
- Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required for the successful delivery of the Foundation’s business objectives.

Your role ensures that operational delivery plans are implemented in your defined area, meeting all targets and KPIs. There is a significant external remit, and you will be expected to pro-actively manage relationships with schools and Local Authorities, to support schools as they participate in our programmes.
You will monitor the quality and impact of our programmes, ensuring this is captured and fed back to our Facilitators and Young People Development Lead to ensure continuous improvement. You will also be working together with the rest of the Young People Learning team to coordinate activity, such as Workshops, Dragons’ Dens and Awards, to ensure a clearly mapped out timetable. To support the Young People Administrator in scheduling activity, you will be expected to pass-on details from schools and partners in a timely manner.
You will also have opportunities to work with colleagues across the business, for example colleagues in sales and partnerships, to implement delivery plans as agreed by external partners and funders.

This is a critical time to join our dedicated team as we expand our work in response to the growing risk to academics and universities worldwide. Building on our 93 years of experience and partnerships with 135 UK university, this role provides an excellent opportunity for a dynamic fundraiser to grow our support from individual and organisations.
Line Manager: Chief Executive
Objective: The Funding and Communications Manger leads on the delivery of our fundraising strategy to diversify and grow Cara’s income streams.

Detailed responsibilities:
· Fundraising Strategy and business plan:

Implement and develop fundraising plans, including initiation and management of campaigns. Take responsibility for developing new income streams and products including alumni and legacy giving.
· Relationship Building:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and prospective donors, including individuals, major donors, and foundations. Work with the Cara team to ensure effective relationship management across all donors and lead on donor identification for all income streams. Identify opportunities for pro bono support in support of the Cara strategy.
· Event Management:
Organize and manage fundraising events, ensuring successful execution and high engagement with our target audiences. This includes a schedule of location-based university engagement events (up to twelve per year) to engage existing individual donors, build awareness of Cara’s work, and cultivate new individual donors. Collaborate with contacts at each university to plan, deliver and follow up on each event. Lead on other key Cara events including the annual science and civilisation lecture to ensure that these build the Cara brand.
· Data Management for donor stewardship:
Maintain accurate donor records (on salesforce) and build and maintain fundraising databases for individuals and organisational donors to manage engagement throughout the donor journey. Maintain a view of Cara’s pipeline income to support the work of the Cara management team and reports to support accountability and trustee engagement including return on investment for each income stream.
· Communication:
Prepare and distribute fundraising materials, including appeals, newsletters, social media content, and articles for the website. Develop a range of case-studies profiling the work of Cara (including programmes, university partners, and individual academics). Collaborate closely with the Chief Executive to build the Cara brand through co-ordination of Cara’s presence at events and through priority digital channels.
· Proposal writing
Lead on proposal writing for major donors and philanthropic funding. Collaborate with colleagues on larger grants taking responsibility to overall proposal quality and timely submission. Ensure that the team work to agreed standards on all written reports and proposals to donors.
· Compliance:
Adhering to fundraising regulations, such as those outlined by the Fundraising Regulator, and ensuring that all fundraising activities are ethical and legal. Develop policies and practices to manage risk including appropriate due diligence and gift acceptance policies.
· Trends
Stay up to date on signals and trends in fundraising relevant to Cara’s work and use these to inform our business planning and risk/opportunity management.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
· Proven success implementing effective strategies to raise income from a range of donors with a focus on major donors.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: The ability to effectively communicate with donors including senior staff at universities.

We are looking for a passionate and effective Autistic Lived Experience Trainer to support us to deliver an exciting new programme of work. We have been commissioned by an NHS organisation to deliver and support the roll out of autism-informed care training to all staff working in their mental health inpatient settings. This programme of work will run for 9 months, and will include the delivery of various half day and full day autism-informed training sessions both in-person and online. The Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our Finance team. This role will support the smooth operation of our financial administration processes, working closely with programme managers to track project budgets, expenditures, and assist with financial planning for new community initiatives.
You’ll be responsible for day-to-day financial processing, supporting budgeting and planning for new initiatives, and ensuring our systems remain accurate, compliant, and efficient.
Responsibilities:
Financial Administration
- Process invoices, receipts, and expense claims using our accounting software
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions across multiple funding streams
- Assist with monthly bank reconciliations
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and budget monitoring reports
- Handle accounts payable and receivable processes
Project Support
- Work closely with programme managers to track project budgets and expenditure
- Assist with financial planning for new community initiatives
- Support cost analysis for various Trust activities and programmes
Administrative Duties
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team
- Help coordinate annual audit requirements and liaise with external auditors
- Support VAT return preparation and submission
- Maintain filing systems and ensure compliance with data protection requirements
- Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality, especially regarding individuals' personal details and concerns.
- Follow established protocols for data protection and privacy.
- Participate in training sessions related to safeguarding and emergency response.
