We are seeking an enthusiastic, pro-active and highly organised Governance Administrator to support the efficient running of our governance arrangements. In this role, you will coordinate and provide high quality support to our committee programme and other key processes such as our grant funding and abstract competitions at Association conferences.

The successful candidate will play a central role in supporting the Association’s governance and operational activities. Collaborating closely with the senior management team, committee Chairs and senior stakeholders, you will contribute directly to the success and impact to the charity.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating the committee meeting programme; arranging meetings, preparing detailed agendas, circulating papers promptly and producing accurate, high-quality minutes
• Organising the Association’s grants, awards and prize programmes, ensuring smooth application, review and selection processes
• Administering the abstract competitions across all Association conferences, including communications with participants and on-site coordination when required
• Supporting the administration of committee appointment processes and Board and committee elections
• Providing pro-active executive and administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer, Officers and the Senior Management Team
• Working with all staff and Board members to ensure good communications are maintained throughout the Association
• Liaising with partner organisations and stakeholders to develop and maintain effective relationships and maximise networking opportunities

Hybrid working

This role is based at our head office in 21 Portland Place, London. We offer a hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of two days in the office per week.

Overall purpose

 As the Finance Officer, you will be required to ensure that our income and expenditure records are accurate, complete, free from error and comply with both the relevant accounting standards as well as donor restrictions. This role will play a key part in ensuring that the recording of financial information is compliant and auditable, in both the finance system and CRM.

You will also work alongside the Head of Finance to support the wider organisation in its financial understanding and management. This support will focus on both the fundraising team to empower them to raise as many funds as possible, especially unrestricted funds, and the services team to ensure their financial processes are robust and efficient. You will also be expected to contribute to and uphold our outstanding culture by living and demonstrating our values of being mission-led, welcoming, entrepreneurial and collaborative.

Key responsibilities

Finance responsibilities

• Record all income and expenditure general ledger transactions in the finance system, ensuring correct coding and full supporting documentation is stored in either the finance system or in the CRM.
• Have ownership of both the sales ledger and purchase ledger, ensuring all entries are recorded accurately with the correct VAT treatment while adhering to the relevant controls.
• Ensure all staff and client expenses are captured and recorded accurately, adhere to the relevant expense policy and are paid in a timely manner.
• Prepare and post payment runs alongside the Head of Finance
• Support the Financial Accountant in the monthly bank reconciliation
• Participate in month end processes to ensure the I&E figure is accurate within the pre-determined deadline, including posting prepayments, deferrals and accruals where relevant and other accounting adjustments as needed such as grossing up of platform fees.
• Ensure all finance documentation is complete and auditable including restricted fund evidence, and ensure the relevant GAUs are tracked on salesforce.
• Capture all restricted fund income and expenditure is the finance system on a monthly basis (staff and non-staff) alongside the Financial Accountant and Head of Finance
• Understand clawback risk on grants
• Ensure Breaking Barriers is claiming gift aid where applicable and optimising opportunities to reclaim input VAT in our business/non-business VAT return
• Reconciling to third party platforms on a monthly basis including fundraising platforms and Equals
• Work with the Head of Finance to upskill the fundraising and service teams to ensure they understand necessary financial processes
• Undertake income and expenditure control activities e.g. checking for grant rejection letters and verifying changes to supplier details.
• Be the finance team’s superuser for the CRM
• Support in year-end audit and the creation of relevant notes
• Support with ad hoc projects such as the implementation of a new finance system and policy and procedure updates

Technology

• Support the Financial Accountant, Finance Director and outsourced technology provider as needed for ongoing technology support and occasional projects.

Office and facilities management

• Support the financial team and any applicable offices as needed for ongoing office and facility management

Cross-cutting

• Ensure staff are effectively onboarded and our knowledge management processes ensure that required information on the finance and ops processes is accessible and understood

BACCH Education and Training Administrator

The BACCH Education and Training Administrator is a newly created role supporting the British Association for Community Child Health (BACCH), a specialty group of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. This role will take the lead on setting up and delivering educational courses and events for clinicians working in Community Child Health, including webinars, regional events, and the BACCH Annual Scientific Meeting.

Reporting to the BACCH Executive Officer, you will coordinate the development of a structured education and training offer, manage logistics for online and in-person courses, and support initiatives such as trainee-led learning and paid short courses. You will also support BACCH’s six affiliated specialist groups with administrative and event coordination as needed.

The role requires a highly organised and self-motivated individual with experience in event planning, digital platforms, and administrative systems. You’ll also maintain contact databases, filing systems, and internal procedures, while providing occasional cover for the wider team.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting educational events or working in professional membership organisations, along with strong communication, planning and IT skills. A background in healthcare, training, or children’s services and knowledge of website or budget management is desirable

To lead and deliver Richmond CVS’s support services for voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations across the borough. This includes providing high-quality advice, training, and development support, alongside managing key projects and coordinating external consultants.

In 2024, our incredible network of 800 volunteers supported over 73,000 young people through Insight Talks, Skills Workshops, and Networking Events, showing them what's possible for their futures and building the skills and connections they need to get there.

We're a fast-growing charity working to reach every 14-19-year-old across the UK. Thanks to generous funding from partners including Google .org and the Moondance Foundation, we’re now excited to appoint our first Volunteer Manager – a pivotal role in scaling our volunteer base and deepening its impact.

The Volunteer Manager will lead efforts to further grow and diversify our volunteer base, ensuring consistent quality across sessions and fostering a vibrant, connected volunteer community. ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Project Officer for Dartmoor, you will deliver the Bike It Moor project, which forms part of the Dartmoor’s Dynamic Landscapes (DDL) programme. You will work in partnership and collaboration with other the DDL partners, who are also delivering projects as part of DDL, to accomplish shared objectives and targets. The DDL programme is led by Dartmoor National Park Authority (DNPA) and made possible by a grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.  Thanks to National Lottery players, we are able to offer this exciting new role.

You will engage and work with selected schools and their wider communities in the project areas, developing and delivering fun, engaging and innovative activities and events. These will be inclusive and promote and enable all forms of active travel (walking, cycling, scooting and wheeling) to school. 

You will plan and deliver practical skills (like cycle and scooter skills sessions, bike maintenance and led walks and rides), information events (such as assemblies, drop-in sessions, pop up stands), competitions, incentive programmes and classroom sessions. You will also plan and deliver day and overnight cycling and walking experiences, giving pupils the opportunity to explore and enjoy the local green landscape, immerse pupils in the natural heritage of the area.

You will report directly to the local Project Manager and will recruit, train and support local volunteers on the project, as well as engaging with project officers across the South region and the UK.

Due to the nature of the role, a full DBS is required to be completed by the successful person. Candidates should be based within the geographical area with regular travel expected.

ABOUT YOU

You should have experience of working with young people from a wide variety of backgrounds and be able to adapt your approach to meet varying needs. You must demonstrate evidence of planning and delivering engaging and interactive group workshops and activity sessions, as well as experience of events planning.

You will have experience of delivering successful behaviour change projects, ideally with a physical activity focus, and have an understanding of community based or environmental projects.

You will be a skilled communicator, with the ability to connect with different audiences ranging from children, parents, school staff and the wider community.

Title: Data and Reporting Officer – Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) 

Salary: £29,400 to £34,600pa 

Location: UK remote - with occasional travel to Haywards Heath, when required 

Contract: 24-month Fixed Term Contract 

Hours: This is a full-time role with 35 hours per week 

About the role 

Sightsavers work in Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) contributes to a range of public health problems to reduce disparities, lower disease burdens, and build locally owned sustainable health programs. The NTD Data and Reporting Officer sits within the NTD Surveillance unit and provides a single point of contact for programme and country teams on data monitoring and reporting. 

The position will be based in the UK, with occasional travel to Sightsavers headquarters in Haywards Heath, and international travel up to four weeks per year. 

As the NTD Data and Reporting Officer you will help standardise, consolidate and continuously improve directorate Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) tools and processes, maintain data architecture for NTDs, ensuring core organisational data assets are of high quality, cohesive and accessible, and manage secure storage for NTD data reporting. 

Further responsibilities include: 

• Maintain a cross-departmental M&E calendar. 

• Develop and disseminate and track quarterly planning and reporting templates for country office/partners. 

• Quality check data submissions prior to consolidation against organisational data policy. 

• Ensure programme plans (targets) and associated performance data (actuals) are timely and accurately entered in core organisational data systems. 

• Process and analyse large, complex datasets on request for directorate senior management, donors and partners. 

• Conduct detailed reviews of donor reports, narratives and press releases to ensure any referenced data is accurate and appropriately referenced.

• Provide day to day capacity building and support for directorate and country office staff on data monitoring and reporting. 

• Provide ongoing support to licensed NTD data systems, including acting as a first point of contact for the directorate NTD data helpdesk. 

• Participate in NTD programme and team meetings.

Skills and Experience 

As the successful candidate you will possess practical experience or an undergraduate degree in international development, public health, international relations, geography, statistics, or an appropriate equivalent. You will also have excellent English language skills, have an understanding of international development issues and a commitment to equality of opportunity for people with disabilities, and have experience within data reporting and monitoring. 

Further requirements include: 

Essential 

• Excellent problem-solving and analytic skills, with the ability to work with large, complex datasets. 

• Understanding of data privacy and best practices in data security. 

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to identify critical issues and communicate these effectively to colleagues. 

• Able to facilitate group-training sessions, with a focus on programme systems and data, building capacity in developing country contexts in areas relevant to position. 

• Advanced Excel skills, and proficiency with Microsoft suite. 

• Knowledge and understanding of Monitoring and Evaluation reporting. 

• Experience processing and analysing large and complex data sets. 

Desirable 

• Working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese. 

• Experience of working in different countries, preferable within NTDs or the public health sector. 

• Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and data visualisation platforms, such as PowerBI and Tableau.
