All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and are placed by a wide range of local authorities. Typically, the pupils placed at our school have had significantly disrupted educational journey's. Southover provides an education for KS3, KS4 and KS5 students.

The Royal School of Needlework is the International Centre of Excellence for the Art of Hand Embroidery. Based at the historic Hampton Court Palace, we have been dedicated to preserving and innovating in the art of hand embroidery since 1872. Our thriving education programme offers courses for all levels, from beginners to degree level, and we teach onsite and online in locations across the UK, and internationally in America, Japan, and Australia. Our renowned Embroidery Studio creates bespoke embroidery for fashion, art, and royalty and offers expert conservation and restoration services for valuable and historical embroidered pieces.

The RSN is unique. No other single organisation covers the breadth of education and practice to promote the art and technique of hand embroidery or has our connections, collection, archive and heritage. Embroidery is an international language. Cultures and communities have used embroidery-based techniques to tell stories and record events for hundreds of years while the individual benefits of mindfulness and mental wellbeing are now increasingly being recognised today.

Overview of Role:
To provide operational and administrative support across the RSN’s educational programmes, including the Certificate and Diploma, Tutor Training Course, Short Courses, International Summer School and On Demand Courses.

Main Duties 

The main duties include, but are not limited to: 

General Administration 

• Manage the Education Email Inboxes, responding to queries and complaints as appropriate. 
• Monitor and order stock levels, ensuring supplies are available as needed. 
• Handle the packing and mailing of kits and materials, both nationally and internationally. 
• Support classroom setup for various courses, including Short Courses, Bespoke Classes, and events. 
• Assist in preparing beverages for students and visitors, maintaining cleanliness in the area. 
• Escort visitors and guests from reception, including tour groups, while representing the RSN brand confidently and enthusiastically. 
• Attend offsite events as required. 

Course-Related Administration 

• Support the Certificate and Diploma Programme Managers in the administration of the course. 
• Provide logistical support for educational tours and other departmental activities. 

Other Duties 

• Maintain a professional and efficient workflow within the Education team. 
• Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the Director of Education and the Education Management Team, including scheduling, correspondence, and maintaining organised records to facilitate programme delivery.

Job Profile

We are looking for an Advocacy Assistant who is keen to contribute to the work of CAFOD’s advocacy work, especially our work in Parliament. You will work closely with the policy and campaigns teams in contributing to bringing about long-term change for the poorest and most marginalised. The post will be responsible for monitoring key issues in Parliament and supporting work with the CAFOD All-Party Parliamentary Group. It provides direct support to the Director of Advocacy and Communications and ensures our advocacy and development education grants programme is well administered. You will be interested in advocacy work and have had some experience in campaigns, policy or parliamentary work, maybe gained in a voluntary capacity. You’ll be very well organised, with an eye for detail and completing tasks on time.

Key Responsibilities

Providing focused and valuable administrative support

• Developing and amending online and offline systems for teams or the Group 

• Support the teams on events, activities and projects 

• Supporting and Coordinating Supporter mailings 

• Collate relevant annual reporting information including the ECOSOC reporting.

Parliamentary Monitoring 

• To track Parliamentary activity, statements, questions and circulate these to relevant stakeholders within CAFOD

About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional Executive Assistant and Business Coordinator to provide high-level administrative, organisational and governance support to the Director of Membership, Media and Development (MMD) and the wider directorate.

This is a varied and impactful role at the heart of a busy, member‑focused organisation. You will work closely with senior leaders, board members, committees, and cross‑functional teams to support the delivery of key strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Serving as Secretary for the MMD Board; including the relevant Committees and Working Groups; primarily the Nominations Committee, Heritage and Archives Committee, Events and Professional Development Committee and other committees and short life working parties as directed and agreed by the Director
• Managing the Director’s correspondence, diary and appointments, and providing administrative support, such as drafting documents and presentations
• Acting as the main administrative contact (both internally and externally) for the directorate, dealing diplomatically with all enquiries and liaising with other members of the College to ensure good communications
• End to end management of the process for College Awards, from nominations to presentations

About You

You will bring proven experience as an Executive Assistant or Business Coordinator, with strong capability in supporting senior leaders and committees. You will have excellent organisational and communication skills, the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure, and a high level of attention to detail with strong written skills. 

You will be confident working both independently and collaboratively, with experience drafting formal correspondence and minutes. An understanding of GDPR, confidentiality and EDI principles is essential, along with strong MS Office skills across Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint. The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) is looking for an enthusiastic Exams Engagement and Expansion Assistant to join our busy and welcoming Exams team. Exams are at the core of what we do, shaping the careers of clinical oncologists and radiologists across the world. This role puts you right at the centre of that mission. 

You’ll play a key part in supporting our expert examiners and helping us deliver high-quality, well-run examinations. As we expand our exams provision, you’ll also have the chance to get involved in new projects, improved processes, and exciting initiatives aimed at increasing global access to our qualifications.

What You’ll Do 

• Be a friendly first point of contact for examiner applicants, supporting recruitment, inductions and training. 

• Coordinate key logistics — travel, accommodation, examiner dinners and meetings. 

• Support smooth-running committee meetings by scheduling, circulating papers and drafting action logs. 

• Handle candidate queries and assist with the delivery of Part B (2B) exams. 

• Maintain accurate examiner records and contribute to new examexpansion projects and initiatives. 

What You’ll Need 

• Strong organisational skills, great attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks. 

• Confident and approachable communication skills, both written and verbal. 

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams). 

• A proactive, positive attitude and enthusiasm for learning new processes. 

• Experience in administration is essential; experience in exams, education or committee support is a bonus (but not required).

Who are we?

St. John's is a non-maintained specialist provision, working with autistic people, the majority of whom also have learning disabilities. Some of our learners have co-occurring conditions such as epilepsy, hearing or visual impairments, or mental health needs. We also support autistic learners who have an additional profile of Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) syndrome. We have a team built up of support workers, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, nurses, PBS practitioners, assistant psychologists, and more, to support us in our holistic approach to development.

Duties and key responsibilities

Financial Administration and Bookkeeping

• Maintain up-to-date records in Sage 50.
• Import weekly transactions through Sage Bank Feeds.
• Process purchase invoices, card transactions, and payments, ensuring correct coding to nominal and departmental ledgers.
• Import bank receipts into Sage from Raiser’s Edge NXT.
• Maintain the card transaction spreadsheet and ensure receipts are collected.
• Generate sales invoices and support credit control activities.
• Assist with posting routine month-end journals as directed.
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations for review by the Senior Finance Officer.
• Work with the Database Officer to reconcile income between Sage 50, the income spreadsheet and Raiser’s Edge NXT.
• Maintain organised financial files to support monthly reporting and the year-end audit.
• Assist with tracking restricted income and expenditure as required.
• Paying cheques and cash into the bank account in a timely manner.

Support to the Finance Team

• Prepare supporting documentation for month-end and audit.
• Work under the guidance of the Senior Finance Officer to ensure transactional accuracy.
• Support continuous improvement of finance processes.

Other

Role Responsibilities

Delivery of the Spear Programme – Group and 1:1 coaching

• Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme.
• Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture and attitudes in the training room.
• Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively.

Delivery of Spear Career

• Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with past Trainees), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees.

Training the Assistant Coach

• Contributing towards the training and developing of the Assistant Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback.

Trainee Recruitment 

• Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics.

Person Specification

• An active Christian, dedicated to representing the values and ethos of Spear and St Mark's Battersea Rise.
• You have demonstrable experience as a coach, or a background in youth work or teaching, and are keen to develop these skills further.
• You have a heart for young people and releasing their potential, no matter what challenging circumstances they are facing.
• Effective interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence with a sense of humour and fun.
• You are great at building relationships, with solid communication skills.
• Good administrative and organisational skills, working well under pressure with the ability to prioritise workload.
