About the role
We’re looking for a highly creative, organised, and experienced Marketing and Content Executive to support the delivery of engaging, high-impact marketing across our growing, purpose-led organisation.
Working closely with the Senior Marketing and Campaigns Manager, you’ll play a key role in producing and managing digital content, with a strong focus on social media, web design, and copywriting.
In this fast-paced role, you’ll drive our social media strategy, produce engaging content and blogs, and manage the design and research for our online Suicide Prevention Hubs. You’ll create compelling copy and visuals across multiple platforms and develop email campaigns and marketing strategies to boost our training course sales and sign-ups.
You’ll have hands-on experience with tools such as Mailchimp, Canva, WordPress, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, and Adobe Creative Suite.
We’re looking for someone who is self-assured, able to manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work consistently. You should be comfortable working independently, making informed decisions, and taking ownership of your workload.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
-
Manage the creation and delivery of engaging, on-brand content across social media channels, collaborating with the Senior Marketing and Campaigns Manager to enhance reach and visibility.
-
Keep our accounts a safe space by taking swift action on abusive or harmful comments, with full support from the team and training in our Social Media policies.
-
Oversee the creation, design, and research of our Suicide Prevention Hubs, collaborating with charity partners, writing compelling copy, and coordinating podcasts and blog content.
-
Play a key role in driving awareness, sales, and sign-ups for our training courses through effective marketing and promotion.
-
Write and edit high-quality copy for blogs, website pages, emails, social posts, and other marketing materials.
-
Design on-brand visual assets using Canva to support social media, web, email, and printed materials.
-
Support the creation of award entries, press releases, and promotional materials as needed.
-
Help maintain and update our WordPress website and landing pages, ensuring content is up-to-date, accessible, and optimised for SEO and user experience.
-
Support the setup and delivery of email marketing campaigns, including building emails, managing lists, and reviewing performance.
-
Contribute to ongoing audience and campaign research, including SEO keyword research, to inform marketing strategies and content planning.
-
Assist with campaign reporting and provide administrative support where needed to ensure smooth delivery of projects.
For this role, you will need:
-
Proven experience in creating and managing engaging social media content across key platforms (e.g. Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Facebook), with a strong understanding of audience insights, performance metrics, and emerging trends.
-
Experience in producing high-quality, creative content – from social posts and web copy to blog articles, visuals, and email campaigns.
-
Experience using design tools like Canva and Adobe InDesign to create impactful digital assets for use across multiple channels.
-
Excellent copywriting and proofreading abilities, with a clear, adaptable writing style suited to different platforms and audiences.
-
Experience using a CMS such as WordPress, with web design skills in Elementor.
-
Great organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and stay detail-focused.
-
Willingness to learn and take direction from the Senior Marketing and Campaigns Manager, while also contributing your own ideas.
-
A genuine commitment and compassion to support vulnerable individuals, and a desire to use your marketing skills to support life-saving work.
Bonus points for:
-
Proven experience working remotely, with a strong ability to demonstrate resilience, self-motivation, and independence.
-
Experience with video creation.

The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Marketing & Projects Coordinator to join our high-performing marketing function at Islamic Help. This is a unique role that sits at the intersection of project management, internal communications, and marketing delivery.
You will not be solely responsible for designing social media posts, editing videos, or running ad campaigns - we already have expert teams in place for that. However, you will be invited into those processes, with opportunities to observe, contribute, and grow. We are always open to ideas that improve our work, and there is definitely scope for development in this area of marketing over time.
The core of this role is to co-ordinate, connect, and communicate - ensuring that everything runs smoothly, projects are delivered on time, and the many moving parts of the marketing department stay aligned.
This role doesn’t require deep experience in marketing execution. At its heart, it’s a project management and stakeholder coordination position. However, it’s ideal for someone with an interest in marketing and communications who wants to gain exposure and experience across a full marketing ecosystem - including brand, paid media, video, SEO, digital infrastructure, and more - in a fast-paced, mission- and results-driven environment.
You’ll work closely with the Director of Marketing & Technology, the Senior Marketing Officer, and a broad mix of outsourced specialists, including Google Ads experts, SEO consultants, graphic designers, videographers, performance marketers, and UI/UX professionals.
This is a role for someone who thrives in a structured, high-output setting, wants to be part of work that makes a real difference globally, and is eager to gain deep experience in the full A-Z of how a professional marketing team functions.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
- Track and manage marketing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, to spec, and aligned with brand standards
- Coordinate between internal departments and external specialists (e.g. video teams, print houses, performance marketing agencies)
- Schedule meetings, follow up on action points, and ensure teams stay on track
- Maintain clarity on project timelines, tasks, ownerships, and deadlines
- Manage platforms such as Asana, Hootsuite, and shared file systems to monitor workflow and progress.
Internal Communication & Stakeholder Liaison
- Gather marketing-related needs from other departments across the organisation
- Clarify briefs, manage expectations, and feed this information to relevant creatives or external vendors
- Ensure alignment between campaign objectives and deliverables
- Flag blockers or conflicts early and work with senior leadership to resolve them.
Marketing Support (Fluency, Not Ownership)
- Engage with marketing tools and channels (e.g. Hootsuite, social platforms, content schedules), not as the creator, but as a coordinator
- Analyse and review creative outputs (e.g. social posts, videos, copy) for basic accuracy, alignment, and tone
- Provide constructive feedback or flag potential issues to relevant team members
- Respond to or escalate social media engagement (e.g. DMs, comment moderation) when needed.
Research & Trend Monitoring
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, or gaps within the sector
- Feed relevant insight to the Senior Marketing Officer and Director to help shape campaign direction
- Monitor sector activity and competitor positioning.

- You love organisation, timelines, responsibility, and making things happen
- You’re a natural communicator who can keep teams and tasks aligned
- You work well under pressure and don’t shy away from responsibility
- You’re passionate about doing work that supports meaningful causes and helps people around the world

- Strong project management and coordination abilities
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills
- Calm and solution-oriented under pressure

- Some prior experience in a fast-paced or stakeholder-heavy environment
- A career interest in marketing, communications, or project management.

Who we are
Grassroots Suicide Prevention (GSP) is a national charity committed to the timely intervention and prevention of suicide. We work to empower people to help save lives through connecting, educating, and campaigning nationally. Our vision is a future where more lives are saved from suicide.
About the role
We are looking for a very confident, outgoing go-getter who loves using their gregarious personality to influence and enthuse people to get results but also enjoys being organised with strong admin processes.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has been involved in influencing organisations, businesses and groups or individuals to sign up to our range of challenge events (e.g. marathons etc.) You will be a part of a small but dynamic marketing and fundraising team and involved in many aspects of our work but focusing on filling and retaining places for our challenge events.
This is a varied role, and you will be someone who loves to multitask; you may be emailing supporters or potential fundraisers, making action plans, contacting organisations, or attending and speaking at events.
You will thrive in this role if you love being organised and doing admin, but love being “out and about” interacting and influencing and motivating people to join events. Please note that you will need to carry and set-up event materials, have access to transport and have a full, clean driving licence. We are a very small team, so you will need to have the confidence and willingness to meet with organisations and attend events on your own.
Please reflect that grit and resilience are required for this role given the remote/hybrid working, subject matter, fast-paced and flexible multi-tasking, and the need to be highly goal-oriented and results focused. If you have recently been affected by suicide, please consider carefully if this role would be right for you, as your welfare is the utmost priority, and our work may be triggering.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
-
Recruit and retain and support participants for a wide range of challenge events, including marathons, cycling and overseas events
-
Support and steward existing fundraisers and supporters, helping them maximise their impact through meaningful engagement and community-led events
-
Create inspiring digital content and resources to empower and guide fundraisers and donors throughout their journey
-
Represent Grassroots Suicide Prevention at events, delivering talks and building awareness to attract new supporters and donors
-
Write compelling content for multiple channels, including our website, blog, social media, and press releases, tailored to diverse audiences
-
Assist with administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of our fundraising team and activities
To be successful in this role, you must be:
Responsive, extremely organised, able to meet deadlines, and passionate about seeing growth and progress in your work and reaching targets and KPIs.
You will be a dynamic, socially confident person, who excels at winning hearts and minds and thrives on tangible results. You will be a creative thinker and thrive on influencing and persuading people.
For this role, you’ll need:
-
Adept at all aspects of Microsoft Office
-
Experience of influencing people and organisations to come on board and fundraise
-
Experience of recruiting and managing volunteers
-
To have initiative and creative ideas that you can put into effective action plans
-
To be socially adept and enjoy persuading and influencing
-
To be an excellent verbal and written communicator
-
To be a confident negotiator and presenter
-
Evidence of being resilient
-
A genuine passion for Grassroots Suicide Prevention’s mission and values
-
To have a positive “can-do” attitude and a thirst to adapt to different tasks and challenges
-
Examples of working effectively from home and being out and about
Bonus points for:
-
Proven track record of fundraising and running challenge events
-
Basic skills of creating impactful and on-brand designs using Canva
-
Understanding of how charities work and the challenges they face
-
Evidence of successful presenting and networking

Our employee benefits include:
