The Role
You’ll be part of an ambitious and highly motivated team responsible for delivering an ambitious and growing Individual Fundraising programme. Working with other officers, you will be reporting to either the Individual Giving Lead responsible for cause related products, or for gaming products.

- Comfortable with figures and spreadsheets and have a head for figures, as you’ll be diving into the data an managing campaign costs.
- Responsible for maintaining and reporting accurate campaign results and reviews.
- Always looking out for new opportunities, using sprint pipeline methodology (testing, solving, learning from experiments) before scaling.
- Ensuring campaigns and gaming activities are fully compliant at all times… a knowledge of Gambling Commission rules would be a bonus.

About the role
Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, the Communications Officer supports the delivery of effective communications across the cycling industry and within Trust-led projects. As part of a collaborative team, you’ll contribute to a variety of initiatives, with a particular focus on maintaining and developing The Bikeability Trust’s industry website and newsletters for stakeholders and partners.

Your role in summary • As part of a proactive team, you will produce excellent, creative written content that captivates and motivates hospice supporters, donors, customers, staff and volunteers. • Support our communications output, both digital and physical: covering our events, shops, stories and ongoing campaigns. • Capture and convey stories that reflect the diversity of our hospice stakeholders, showcasing the positive impact that the community’s support has on our hospice care. Introduction
Reporting into the Head of Planning & Delivery, this role is the central link between our reactive and planned reactive teams and the rest of the organisation, in particular Country Comms, Policy & Advocacy, and Campaign & Mobilisation teams. It is responsible for making sure all our reactive and planned-reactive comms are managed and delivered across appropriate owned and earned channels.? Strategic Communications colleagues, Media and PR teams, Delivery Managers, key stakeholders across the organisation, and our Content & Creative teams will be your day to day partners.
This role needs to be collaborative, resilient and able to adapt quickly to new information and shifting priorities, understanding when decisions are needed and making sure the right people are involved. Comfortable working in a fast moving environment, collaborating with colleagues across the RSPB and acting as a conduit to keep all teams and stakeholders informed, this role needs to maintain a broad view of activities on all comms channels so that changes can quickly be updated and communicated to the wider group.
This role is required to support the work of the Campaign & Mobilisation team, by delivering reactive and planned reactive one-off emails and/or website updates. This means you will need to be comfortable switching between different ways of working (agile and waterfall) and be able to prioritise your own workload effectively. You will be taking briefs from Activity Owners and managing the delivery work, working closely with our Traffic Management and Content & Creative teams.
This role is expected to be a key part of our planning cycle, making sure our activities across channels are coordinated and aligned. Role specific tasks include:

Terms and Conditions

Location: Home-working, ideally within the GUCE catchment area from Watford to Tring.
You will need to travel to meet stakeholders, attend relevant meetings and visit potential sites. You may be called upon to work outside office hours. Reasonable travel expenses will be covered and the job holder would be expected to provide their own method of travel.
Contractual arrangements: 12 months fixed term with the option to extend, subject to 3 months’ probation.

The Community Energy People project will enable 11 community energy groups across 11 counties to employ people for the first time, recruit more volunteers and deliver more projects, and faster. The new workforce will represent our diverse community. Community Energy Pathways will provide training and mentoring to those groups, as well as governance, HR and marketing support.
