The Social Media Executive is a brand-new role to the organisation, offering a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to make the role their own. You will help raise the profile of the Leadership Skills Foundation and engage audiences through social media, supporting our objectives to build visibility, credibility and engagement.
This flexible role is ideal for someone looking to apply and expand their social media expertise. You will be responsible for combining creativity, strong communication skills, relationship management, and organisational ability, to deliver social media plans and content that make a real impact for the organisation and the young people we support.
Previous experience of producing social media campaigns and content that delivers results is particularly important to the role, along with a growth mindset and the ability to foster innovative ways of working.

The Social Media Executive role will be key as we drive towards our objective of being recognised as the trusted voice of leadership skill development for all young people and communities by 2033.
Role purpose:

To develop and deliver social media plans to contribute to wider Marketing and Communications objectives.

To create compelling content that supports the realisation of the organisation’s new business and retention targets.

To work with internal and external stakeholders to gather compelling content.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Planning: Develop and deliver comprehensive social media plans across platforms. Assist with social media strategy and execution to support organisational objectives. Support with the integration of plans into wider communication planning and needs. Integrate key business intelligence and context provided by colleagues and teams into plans.
- Content creation: Develop and schedule engaging content applying broad platform experience (including LinkedIn, X, and Facebook, with the potential to expand to other platforms)
- Community management: Monitor channels, respond to comments, DMs, and mentions, foster positive interaction and manage the brand’s online reputation.
- Performance analysis: Track and analyse social media performance using data insights, and present results, learnings and recommendations. Refine plans based on performance.
- Relationship management: Build positive working relationships with internal teams and external partners, supporting collaborative content creation and delivery.
- Research and insight: Monitor trends, audience insights and competitor activity to inform content and continuous improvement.
- Equality, compliance and governance: Embed equality and diversity requirements both within our promotional activities. Comply with Data Protection Act 2018, GDPR, and Accessibility requirements in all working practices maintaining confidentiality, integrity, availability, accessibility, accuracy, currency and security of information as appropriate.
- General responsibilities: Support with digital marketing activities when required, ensuring alignment with overall marketing objectives. Undertake such other duties temporarily or on a continuing basis, as may reasonably be required, commensurate with the grade, and undertake any other tasks as directed by the Line Manager (or nominee).

About the Role
As a passionate professional in the identification, development and management of a wide range of relationships in support of our programme partnership, you will ensure the Career Ready programme in Renfrewshire and West Dunbartonshire continues to thrive, which includes securing charitable donations from supporting partners. You will work closely with our Programme & Partnerships Manager for Glasgow, in support of our work growing there.
This role requires experience of partnership and account management and the scale and ambition of our social mobility work means you will need to be well organised, confident and able to positively influence a wide range of people including headteachers, teachers, CEOs and HRDs.
You will identify and approach opportunities that are well researched and pursue with unswerving perseverance. It’s also a great chance to develop personally.
Programme & Partnership Managers lead the delivery of our programme locally. In this role, you’ll grow, develop, and maintain the employer and education partnerships that make the Career Ready programme work — including our Local Advisory Boards, Local Authorities, school coordinators, the Developing the Young Workforce Regional Group, and the employers and volunteers who provide mentoring with the accompanying paid internship, deliver engaging masterclasses, and support events.
Once you’re confident in what, why, when, and how of our work, you will:
1. Lead, grow, and strengthen the Career Ready partnerships in Renfrewshire & West
Dunbartonshire.
You’ll ensure an excellent programme experience for all stakeholders and secure employer engagement for approximately 60+ students each year (with growth expected) who take part in our 18-month programme. This includes ensuring
sufficient mentors with the accompanying paid internship, high-quality masterclasses and purposeful events.
2. Support programme delivery, stakeholder engagement and the generation of new programme and funding partnerships across Renfrewshire & West Dunbartonshire.
You’ll work closely with the Career Ready Glasgow & West Areas Local Advisory Board, the Programme & Partnerships Manager for Glasgow, the Head of Programme & Operations, the Scotland Partnerships Manager, Partnerships Lead, and your fellow Programme & Partnerships Managers — all committed to delivering quality, impact, and sustainability. You’ll also collaborate with the Scotland Operations Team to
ensure accurate data, strong processes, and effective management information for the area.

- £36,000 - £39,870 DOE (pro rata for part time)
- A working from home allowance of £300 pa is provided (pro rata for part time)
- Annual leave: 27 days holiday plus bank/public holidays. In addition, Career Ready is closed between Christmas and New Year. Career Ready also allows flexible use of some Bank & Public Holidays
- 6% of salary contribution to a private pension subject to an employee contribution of 3%

You will be instrumental in the quality and impactful implementation, delivery and retention of our sites. You will oversee the delivery of exceptional outcomes in support of the charity's mission. You will work as part of a Regional team to deliver outstanding programmes across your geography, establishing and leading partnerships throughout the life of a programme.
Regular travel throughout your geographical location will be required, with occasional travel to other areas of the UK. Please stipulate where you are based when applying.
