Save the Children UK is looking for a leader with extensive strategic experience in global development and international cooperation. As our new Executive Director of Global Impact, you will lead our Global Impact group in driving transformative change for children. 

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will work directly with the Chief Executive Officer; and collaborate with Save the Children International colleagues, global donors, UK government representatives and external partners. 

This is a permanent full-time role, offering hybrid work based in our London Farringdon office. The nature of this role is likely to require a presence in our offices or with partners 3 days a week.

About the role 

As Executive Director of Global Impact, you will lead a high-performing group of departments to build partnerships, deliver global policy and advocacy insights, increase humanitarian and development funding, and influence UK and global actors on the key issues affecting children. 

You will also play a pivotal role in championing diversity, equity and inclusion, and enabling Save the Children UK's journey towards a more human-centric, agile and impact-focused organisation.

• Lead and deliver a clear overall vision and strategy for Save the Children UK's international engagement, aligning closely with the broader global movement. 

• Manage and drive strategic performance across the Global Impact group to ensure focus on high-value activities that deliver measurable results for children. 

• Provide leadership to senior team members and support a culture of high autonomy, accountability, and collaboration in line with inclusive and human-centred leadership practices. 

• Oversee and ensure Save the Children's commitment to legal, ethical, and safeguarding standards across all its work.

As Head of Supporter Engagement, you will provide University-wide leadership to develop, plan and implement sector-leading fundraising and supporter engagement strategies, policies and programmes – with a particular focus on Regular and Leadership giving (<£10k), Legacy Fundraising, and ensuring an exceptional prospect and donor experience for donors giving at all levels.

As the senior lead for the key public-facing aspects of our fundraising programme, you’ll be accountable for the performance of key fundraising streams. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that strategies and operational plans are in line with institutional needs. You’ll support and inspire your team to deliver ambitious targets. And you will provide support and strategic guidance to University leaders, academics, and colleagues across the University.

You’ll also be a member of our Development Leadership Team (DLT), meaning that you will play a significant role in our success across the whole fundraising mix. The transformation enabled by the launch of our first university-wide fundraising and volunteering campaign will provide further opportunities for your role to evolve during the campaign’s public phase.

As Head of Supporter Engagement, you will undertake a range of activities commensurate with the grading and responsibility of the post. This includes:

• Lead the strategic planning for the Supporter Engagement team (currently Donor Experience, Regular and Leadership Giving, and Legacy Fundraising), working with area leads to translating business objectives into clear operational plans.

• Take overall responsibility for the development and leadership of strategic supporter journeys for key campaign audiences, and coordinate communications planning across the Division.

• Lead your team to conceptualise, plan and deliver communications, events, products and experiences that deliver strategic objectives, working collaboratively with colleagues across DDAR and the wider University.

• Proactively identify ways for Supporter Engagement activity to support and complement major and transformational fundraising.

• Identify and leverage opportunities to use university-wide communications and events to support fundraising success.

• Work to embed a culture of philanthropy across the whole institution, ensuring that the relationships, systems and products are in place to involve students and staff in fundraising.

• Be the University’s subject matter expert for your areas of responsibility, providing support and consultancy to senior colleagues, including University Executive members.

• Represent the interests of the Division at University-wide strategy groups and committees as required.

• Oversee financial planning and resource allocation across the Supporter Engagement team.

• Monitor performance across your areas of responsibility, motivating and inspiring your team members to deliver ambitious goals, supporting their development, and embedding a high-performance culture.

• Take shared responsibility for the overall leadership of the fundraising programme as a member of the Development Leadership Team (DLT).

• Be a proactive and visible leader across the Division and wider University.

• Actively contribute to the sector through thought leadership, representing the University at conferences and other sector meetings.

• Role model and embed the “Manchester Mindset” and embody the values and culture of the University and DDAR within your working practice and relationships.

Essential knowledge, skills and experience

• Experience of leading significant mass participation fundraising, legacy, and donor experience programme(s) in the higher education or charitable sector.

• A well-developed understanding of the fundraising mix, and the principles and processes that underpin fundraising success at all levels.

• Experience of developing and delivering strategies to achieve business objectives.

• Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-cutting teams to deliver exceptional work.

• Outstanding written and oral communication skills with experience of translating complex information into effective, persuasive and clear language for a variety of purposes.

• Proven experience of policy development and negotiation.

• Experience of working with a wide range of colleagues from a variety of disciplines across a large and complex organisation and providing consultancy and support to senior colleagues on a specialised area of expertise.

• Experience of effectively managing budgets.

• Excellent project management skills.

• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the necessary listening, facilitation and negotiation skills to represent the University at the highest levels, coupled with the highest levels of tact and discretion required to deal with highly confidential information.

Turn2us is a national charity tackling financial insecurity and its structural causes. We work with co-producers and partners to provide people in financial crisis with the means and agency to get back on their feet, build resilience, move forward with their lives and thrive.

Turn2us and its partners have secured £1.5 million from The National Lottery Community Fund to deliver an ambitious and innovative new programme that will support charities in England and Scotland to empower diverse and marginalised communities to respond to climate change and to get their voices heard in environmental policy and media debates.It will focus on Disabled people, those facing financial insecurity and people from ethnic minority communities. These voices are often the least heard from in national and local debates on our environment. This new work aims to change that.

As part of this programme, The National Lottery Community Fund have funded the creation of an Engagement Manager post at Turn2us to work with those facing financial insecurity. The Engagement Manager employed by Turn2us will deliver activity with smaller charities and grassroots organisations supporting those facing financial insecurity that:

• Increases awareness of the impact of environmental change and related policy on different communities 
• Listens to people in these communities to find out what actions they want charities and local government to take
• Develops shared local environmental policy priorities and empowers these organisations to advocate directly to local and national policy makers
• Identifies actions that these organisations can take to support communities to respond to climate change, and helps organisations to implement them
• Identifies people with lived experience to receive hands on training in order to act as diverse champions to media and policy makers

They will work closely with Community Engagement Managers employed by Disability Rights UK, and Race Equality Foundation, focussed on reaching organisations supporting Disabled people and people from ethnic minority communities.

Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity are hiring for a Senior Fundraising Executive to join our Hospital Engagement team. This position is based in the hospital for 3 days per week, with the remaining time spent working from home.

As a Senior Executive, your main focus is to build relationships and connections within the hospital in order to increase the Charity’s visibility, drive income growth and referrals from patient families, visitors and hospital staff.

Salary

The salary for this position is £35,051 per annum. 

Key Responsibilities

This is a varied role where you will:

• Engage and develop strong working relationships with hospital staff members.
• Roll out a patient family fundraising training programme, delivering training to staff groups, identifying fundraising champions within the hospital and increase patient family referrals. 
• Collaborate with the Hospital Engagement team to recruit and relationship manage hospital staff in our Charity Champions Programme. 
• Collaborate across the charity with our Grants, Brand Marketing and Communications team to coordinate charity family activity and implement a hospital engagement and communications plan. 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

This role is focused on relationship building and influencing and we’re looking for someone with:

• Experience working with the public in a customer facing role. 
• Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders of all levels of seniority. 
• Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence. (you will need to be comfortable working with patient families in a hospital environment). 
• Confident delivering presentations and training.
• Experience working with or managing volunteers.

Whilst you’ll be an employee of the Charity, this role requires you to be onsite at the hospital for 3 days per week (with the rest of the time spent working remotely).

The hospital is a large site and you’ll be physically attending different department meetings, organising events, and hosting events (ensuring branded stock is available, moving boxes, helping with event set up). 

About the Team 

This role sits within the Hospital Engagement function within the Community team, whose purpose is to drive the charity’s presence within the hospital to build key relationships and increase income from patient families and hospital staff.

This is a role with regular hospital contact and appointment to the role will require the individual to meet any hospital access requirements which may change over time.

As part of Midland Air Ambulance Charity’s (MAAC) corporate team, the Corporate Partnership Executive is responsible for taking a proactive approach to raising the profile of the charity and deepening relationships with businesses in the communities we serve.

You will provide support to the Senior Partnership Executive and the wider team helping to implement the corporate fundraising strategy via in person and online engagement methods, leading on activity within Staffordshire.

Your focus will be to ensure income growth from corporate sources and activity comprising of new business development, account management and affinity partnerships.  As a longstanding charity, we have established networks in place, however alongside this the post holder will need to innovate and develop new ways of working in line with the ever-changing external environment (i.e., global/national trends, corporate best practise such as CSR and ESG) as well as in response to opportunities and challenges happening in the south of our region.

With a strong senior leadership team, committed board and annual income of around £8m, you will lead our strategic development, implement the agreed plan to 2027, and build the financial sustainability of CMS for the decades ahead.

We are thrilled to be working in partnership with Honeypot Children’s Charity who are looking for a Corporate and Community Fundraising Executive responsible for maximising fundraising income from a pipeline of existing, and new, corporate partners and community groups.

With headquarters in London, and three respite houses situated in the South of England, Wales and Scotland, Honeypot supports young carers aged 5 to 12 years old, who perform a surrogate adult role as a carer for a loved one, often single-handedly, and whose wellbeing is at significant risk, leading to anxiety, isolation, poor confidence, and low self-esteem.

Reporting to the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for growing support from businesses (currently 30 small corporates) plus local groups. You’ll manage existing partners and build new relationships to hit a £150K annual target. 

The successful candidate will:

• Have a minimum of two years’ experience in Fundraising
• Demonstrate strong relationship-building and networking skills.
• Have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to deliver persuasive and dynamic presentations.
• Be analytical in approach to tracking performance and impact.
• Bring a creative approach, to create persuasive employee engagement and CSR campaigns, and exciting community events and fundraising campaigns that inspire support. 
• Ensure attention to detail and maintain accurate records of donor and sponsorship activities on CRM system with good working knowledge of MS Office

About the role:

This Best Companies Top 100 mid-sized company and Top 20 charity is looking to appoint an Executive Assistant to provide proactive and efficient administrative and operational support to the Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees, whilst observing the strictest confidence. Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH) are hiring for two Senior Fundraising Executives to join our direct dialogue team. One is a brand-new position and the other has come up following an internal move.

Our dialogue team work with a range of different agencies to deliver our face to face fundraising campaigns. These campaigns help fundraise to change children’s lives every single day. 

These roles are known internally as Senior Individual Giving Executive – Direct Dialogue.

Salary

The salary for this position is £36,654 per annum and we operate a hybrid working model of a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.

In line with our EDI strategy and Total Reward policy, we calculate our salaries based on benchmarking data across the charity sector. To ensure fairness for existing staff and new joiners, we do not offer salaries above the advertised rate.

Key Responsibilities

This is a varied role encompassing:

• Campaign management for rolling fundraising activities. 
• Defining campaign briefs and working closely with the Senior Management to deliver campaigns across door to door, private site, and street 
• Managing relationships with third party agencies. 
• Utilising data analytics to create reports and insights across all dialogue activity. 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
