About the Role

As our Director of Finance and Resources, you’ll be a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, leading on:

• Strategic financial planning and advice for future growth and sustainability of the Charity

The West of England Baptist Network (Webnet) is seeking a Trust and Property Officer to join our friendly, relational team. This key role supports the operational and organisational effectiveness of both Webnet and the West of England Baptist Trust Company (WEBTC), helping our network of churches manage governance, legal, property, and trust matters.

The Events team sit within the wider Insight & Strategic Development team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK).  The purpose of the Insight and Strategic Development team is to deliver both long term and tactical insight that is grounded in a deep understanding of our audiences. We objectively influence evidence-based decision making, to drive forward organisational priorities for a cure. We do this by inspiring and challenging through our own expertise, working collaboratively to shape actionable insights and champion an insight focused mindset.

The Events team lead on the development and delivery of a wide range of events that stretch across the whole organisation. The key aims of the team are to ensure a consistent, professional, and highly engaging supporter experience whether through direct delivery or through consultation with teams looking to deliver events on their own.

The Events Officer will work closely with the Events Manager in the development and delivery of a first-class events programme for Alzheimer’s Research UK, ensuring a consistent, professional, and highly engaging supporter experience. This role involves management of events, as well as supporting other teams across the organisation on their events scoping, planning and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the development, management, delivery and evaluation of events within the Events Calendar, including meetings, dinners, receptions, webinars and other events as required.

· Support in management and delivery of events managed by other members of Events team as required.

· Work alongside the Events Manager and the conference working group on developing, management and delivering of the Research Conference.

· Work alongside the Events Executive to ensure the Events inbox is utilised and RSVPs are responded to in a timely manner

· Responsible for team use of the databases including Salesforce and EventsAir, by monitoring and reporting on events activity

· Undertake any other relevant duties and projects delegated by the Events Manager and Senior Events Officer in line with the responsibilities of the post

What we are looking for:

· Experience in the events industry, both online and in-person

The Head of Fundraising will lead all fundraising activities, overseeing the full spectrum of income generation to support our mission of empowering young people through football and education. This is an extremely exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to lead on fundraising for an organisation which has barely scratched the surface of the fundraising landscape. There is autonomy over the direction of travel with a lot of support from the CEO on ideas and future programmes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Strategic Fundraising Leadership

o Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to grow income across all streams, aligning with the Foundation’s goals.

o Set long-term targets for income growth, monitoring progress and adapting strategies to capitalise on emerging opportunities.

o Act as a key ambassador, representing the Foundation at senior-level meetings with funders and corporate leaders to secure support.

Old Meeting is a fellowship of the United Reformed Church, worshipping God, supporting each other and sharing the Message of the Good News throughout Bedworth's diverse community. As part of our vision for growth we are looking to recruit a Youth and Families Worker to help our work with young people and families. We are looking for someone who will share our enthusiasm to reach out with the Gospel and with God's love, to develop our outreach through Messy Church and other activities and to find new ways to worship which will include all generations.

As our Youth and Families Worker you will be at the heart of our outreach with young people and families. 

This role is for you if:

You have a strong Christian faith which you are able to share with others

You are an active member of a recognised Christian worshipping community

You have a qualification in Youth and Children’s Work or relevant experience of working with families and children in a paid or voluntary capacity.

You have a willingness to engage with the local community and connect with young people and families

You have a willingness to be flexible and work in partnership with others involved in the project and to encourage and recruit new volunteers

You can show the ability to build trust and develop close working relationships both within the church and externally

You can show the ability to manage your own time, work unsupervised, keep records and expenses up to date.

You have an awareness of statutory regulations surrounding safeguarding and children, youth and families’ work generally. 

You have a desire to bring new ideas to enhance the life of the Church

You have a willingness to share in the life of Old Meeting including worship on average two Sundays per month and some mid-week activities.

You are looking to develop leadership of intergenerational and/or Fresh Expression worship

What you'll be doing:

You will assist with development of activities for young people and the establishment of a youth outreach programme

You will assist in the development of Messy Church

You will work with the existing leaders of Messy Church (for families) to increase the opportunities for engagement, for example through holiday projects, after-school club activities or in Fresh Expressions (such as Forest Church)

You will plan and enable intergenerational social activities

You will develop relationships with children and families and provide a pastoral ear for connected families

You will build effective relationships with local schools

You will help develop “Vintage Messy Church” activities for older people which will lead to active participation in the worshipping community

You will participate in, and occasionally lead, Sunday worship and other aspects of Church life

In due course you will seek funding to sustain (and even grow) the outreach

You will share in other tasks as may be agreed between you and the Pastoral Support Group as opportunities arise

Outline Terms and Conditions

1. Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS disclosure and the taking up of no more than two satisfactory references.

2. Appointment will be subject to the satisfactory completion of a six-month probationary period.

3. The appointment will be for three years in the first instance (subject to the probationary period noted above),

4. The hours of work will be 20 hours per week, flexible by need and negotiation. It is anticipated that evening and weekend working will be part of the role, along with the main Christian festivals.

5. The Salary will be £15 per hour, paid monthly by arrangement.

6. Paid holidays – 25 days per year pro rata plus public holidays

7. The post is based at the Old Meeting URC. The person appointed will be required to travel in the local area and will also be able to work from home by agreement.

As Head of Grants & Philanthropy, you will work closely with TLG’s Directors, colleagues across the organisation, and external partners to raise funds for innovative projects in the UK and support the expansion of our work internationally. You will also lead a small, talented team, inspiring and equipping them to develop each area of philanthropic income. Strong administrative skills and a commitment to harnessing AI for efficiency will be key, allowing you to focus on building relationships and sourcing new opportunities.

Commercial Financial Accountant

Are you an experienced financial professional? Pilgrims' Friend Society is expanding, and we need a Commercial Financial Accountant to work across the organisation with a Commercial mindset while aiming to achieve charitable impact. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Commercial Financial Accountant will be responsible for managing and completing relevant projects.

Our focus is providing a loving and caring environment for our “family members” (our residents) and maintaining the Christian ethos that is important to many of them.

The group operates on 20 sites with over 700 staff and an annual income of c.£20m.

Responsibilities:

• Growth and renewal plans
• Organisation Governance which will involve Company and Charity governance including projects that simplify the group structure
• Pilgrims' Friend Society Loans – covenant reporting and management
• System improvement projects
• Assist Director of Finance with banking relationships, including defining and implementing investment and reserves policies 
• Responsibility for internal audit and controls within the Finance team 
• Maintain a good working relationship with relevant Care Home and Housing Scheme Managers.
• Carry out any other duties reasonably required to ensure the smooth operation of the Society’s business.

About you:

• Minimum of 5 years experience working in a finance team;
• Finance qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA, etc)

Befriending Coordinator x1

Age UK Croydon have an established befriending service providing one-to-one befriending for older people in their home. We are now launching a new and exciting Gift of Friendship (GoF) Programme to run alongside this existing face to face and telephone befriending service

The GoF programme will offer a new additional person-centred companionship service where volunteers and older people are matched to reduce loneliness and isolation together.  The service is person centred and dependent on the goals of the individual which could include, going for a walk, going shopping, attending activities or helping an older person to build or regain confidence in going out and about and developing more social connections. 

We are looking for excellent people skills, a strong initiative, and effective communications, including an ability to build relationships with clients and volunteers, and undertake matching in an astute and sensitive manner. You will also need excellent administration skills with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
