We are looking for Supported Housing Officers for 3 x full time roles to join our excellent Housing and Support team in Harrow.
In this role you will:
Work face to face with young people and support them to achieve their goals.
Help young people overcome difficult circumstances and achieve independence.
Work independently and as part of a team in accommodation based or floating support services for young people
Undertake initial and on going needs and risk assessments for young people accessing services
Manage your own caseload of young people, providing holistic support in line with their needs and aspirations
Liaise with multiple agencies to ensure effective communication across the service and externally including social work teams, YOS, health and other statutory services and voluntary agencies
Make internal and external referrals to a wide range of statutory and voluntary agencies for specialist support and Employment and Training opportunities
Support young people to manage their rent accounts through liaison with the DWP, Social Services and building their own personal budgeting skills

Are you a Retention specialist? In this key role you will contribute to the development and delivery of the donor retention programme, helping reduce attrition and keep the existing donor base engaged, energised and inspired by the work of the charity. You will play a vital role in the retention team within the Supporter Engagement Team.

Full campaign project management of the warm cash and emergency appeals, including direct marketing mailing packs and emails
Analyse previous appeal results to develop and inform future tests that will optimise appeals performance.
Develop good working relationships with external stakeholders

Work with the Retention Manager and wider team on building and developing strategy and planning
The Candidate
A minimum of three years experience in direct marketing fundraising to drive income and manage attrition and engagement of supporters.
Project management across multiple stakeholders (internal and external).
Proven success in and expertise in retention fundraising campaigns and strategies, specifically appeals and/or telemarketing.
Copywriting and/or editing experience.
Experience in running and leading training/teaching sessions.
Understanding of theory of direct marketing and fundraising practice.

Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Executive and Hon Treasurer your role will entail:
Key responsibilities
- Prepare the Consolidated Financial Statements for The London Playing Fields Society and the Financial Statements for Wadham Lodge Sports Centre Ltd, its trading subsidiary.
- Liaise with auditors during the annual audit.
- Prepare an annual budget for the Finance and General Purposes Committee approval and implement appropriate financial systems for proper budgetary and cashflow control.
- Prepare the financial information to support the strategic Three-Year Plan produced by the Chief Executive.
- Prepare quarterly accounts for presentation to the F&GP Committee, identifying and reporting any matters which should be drawn to the Committee’s attention in a timely manner.
- Update the Fixed Asset Register and reconcile on a quarterly basis ensuring control of the Charity’s assets.
- Reconcile the Charity’s investments on a quarterly basis.
- Reconcile all other Balance Sheet accounts on a quarterly basis and perform a salaries reconciliation to agree to the quarterly accounts.
- Keep the charity’s books and financial records, including sales ledger, purchase ledger and bank processing, bank reconciliations and purchase ledger payment runs on Sage 50.
- Ensure that the charity has proper arrangements for handling of the funds, including banking, invoicing, payments, and online banking.
- Liaise with Companies House and the Charity Commission about the general company and charity administration and ensure timely filing of all reports, returns and accounts as required.
- Ensure credit control.
- Assume ultimate responsibility for ensuring the charity is fully and properly insured.
- Ensure the payment of staff and attend to payroll/HMRC matters including the administration of pensions.
- Ensure the appropriate retention of staff records.
- Ensure that the VAT calculation and submission are carried out in a timely manner so that the returns and payments are done on time.
- Contribute to the costing of bids to funders and the monitoring of grant monies expended.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Grants and Impact
- Oversee all of the Foundation’s grant-making programmes and policies.
- Develop and refine our new grants assessment and decision processes.
- Design and deliver new funding and organisation support programmes, responding to research and insight and the changing context.
- Commission, monitor and share relevant research to support our grants and impact activities, in consultation with colleagues.
- Develop a suite of non-funding offerings for grantees and the sight loss sector, ensuring that the Vision Foundation becomes an exemplar “Funder Plus” Foundation – offering capacity building, shared learning, convening, and a shared platform for the voices of grantees and their beneficiaries.
- Ensure grants and impact data is properly recorded and analysed to grow our organisational knowledge and expertise and ensure we continually improve our own impact.
- Design, develop and deliver appropriate impact monitoring and evaluation processes.
- Ensure that our learnings through grants evaluation are captured, distilled, and shared to drive our own activities and promote best practice across the sector.
- Continuously analyse risks, potential, changes in environment and voluntary sector politics; and use to inform plans.
- Lead on shaping our policy and influencing, advocacy and campaigns contribution based on research and insight, working closely with the CEO and Head of Communications.
- Explore strategic partnerships and co-funding and regranting opportunities with other funders/sight loss organisations.
Leadership and management
- Work closely and collegiately as a member of the Executive Leadership Team leading and setting the strategic direction for the charity.
- Work in partnership with other members of the Executive Leadership Team to embed a high performing, motivated, collaborative, creative and dynamic culture within Vision Foundation – and seek opportunities to celebrate success.
- Provide management, leadership and support to the Grants Manager (and Grants and Partnerships Officer when she returns from maternity leave), and 5 develop and manage new roles as appropriate, including internships and voluntary placements as the organisation grows.
- Establish, with senior colleagues across the Foundation, appropriate and proportionate performance targets demonstrating commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.

Cross-team working
- Work with the Director of Development to develop income generating products and propositions to take out to fundraising audiences.
- Support income generation at the Foundation by helping to cultivate new donors and steward existing donors; including attending and presenting at funder meetings, sourcing case studies, delivering and translating impact data into everyday language fit for a fundraising audience.
- Work in collaboration with the Director of Development and the Head of Communications to design and deliver impact reporting for our funders and the wider sector.
- Work closely with senior fundraising and communications leads to support activities in both these departments in service of growth and greater impact.
- With the Head of Communications, manage and empower our network of blind and partially sighted advisors.
- Work with the Director of Finance and Resources to ensure grants and impact financial commitments and deployments are tracked, reported and reconciled.
Relationship management
- Ensure positive and productive relationship management with grantees and former member charities and sector colleagues.

Governance
- Attend Board and Committee meetings as required and contribute comprehensive quarterly performance reports to the Trustee Board.
- Ensure that the Trustee Board and any other senior volunteers and advisors are effectively served by the Executive Team, and that their expertise is used to support our development and delivery.
- Develop and support the Grants and Impact Advisory Committee to ensure it is efficient and effective and adds value to the grants and impact operation, including preparation of Committee meeting papers.

Flexibility

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experience
- Extensive experience of grant-making or a comparable environment at a senior level, with a strong understanding of wider funding mechanisms in the charity sector (essential)
- Understanding and (ideally) experience of shaping and delivering capacitybuilding support to charities (essential)

The Administration & Bookings Officers have day-to-day responsibility for delivering all operational bookings and administration for Women and Girls Network’s (WGN) clinical services. They contribute towards the delivery of high quality therapeutic work through the provision of an empathetic, efficient and comprehensive booking service. Administration & Bookings Officers ensure all referral / booking related matters are administered effectively and consult with various managers about any potential barriers to service provision and regarding complex and / or highly sensitive cases. These roles are focused on our Rape Crisis and Ascent Counselling Services but will include cover and support for other WGN services.
Administration & Bookings Officers act as a key point of contact for the organisation and ensure WGN’s centres are calm, supportive and welcoming environments for all users. They are responsible for contributing to continuous formal monitoring and reporting processes for services. As with all WGN team members, Administration & Bookings Officers are responsible for actively contributing to a culture which values and respects diversity, learning, improvement, striving for quality and best practice.
