About CoppaFeel!

CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.

We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.

Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.

The Role

We’re excited to be creating a new Head of People role to support the next phase of our charity’s development. The role provides strategic leadership, expert input and operational oversight of CoppaFeel!’s people, culture and employment practices, aligned with organisational strategy, values and governance.

Blending strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, the role operates with professional autonomy within the People remit and works in close partnership with the Director of Operations, who retains overall accountability. You will support senior leaders, strengthen organisational culture and ensure people practices are consistent, inclusive and effective as the organisation evolves.

This role sits within the Operations Department, reports into the Director of Operations and line manages the HR Manager. This is a hybrid role, with two days per week in our London office. The role is full-time but will consider part-time.

Duties and Responsibilities 

The responsibilities below set out the primary scope of the role, but are not an exhaustive list. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to shape future needs, build capacity and respond to organisational growth. 

• Develop, implement and deliver CoppaFeel!’s People Strategy to support organisational priorities, providing expert input into strategic decision making and organisational planning.
• Lead strategic workforce planning including succession planning  to identify and plan for  the charity’s future .
• Establish, monitor and report on key people metrics and performance indicators, using data and insight to evaluate effectiveness, inform continuous improvement and support evidence based decision making for the Leadership team,  SMT and , where appropriate, Trustees.
• Define, monitor and be accountable for the effectiveness of all people related functions, including recruitment and inclusion, retention, engagement, leadership capability and overall employee experience.
• Act as a trusted adviser to the Senior Leadership Team and senior managers, providing expert guidance and organisational insight informed by feedback from across the organisation.
• Fulfill the responsibilities of a Head of Department, including accountability for delivery and outcomes, role modelling CoppaFeel!’s leadership behaviours and contributing to effective organisational decision making.
• Act as senior lead for complex employee relations issues and provide expert guidance on best practice.
• Develop and coach managers and leaders across the organisation to embed a culture of high performance and accountability. 
• Ensure HR practices are consistent, equitable and legally compliant.
• Maintain, develop , implement and communicate People Policies, processes and systems,  ensuring clarity and accessibility for all staff.
• Ensure compliance with UK employment law, GDPR and safeguarding requirements.
• Support the Director of Operations in managing people related risk, and reporting, contributing to SMT, CEO and Trustee level oversight as required.
• Promote and embed diversity and inclusion across policies, employee relations, recruitment , culture, and staff experience..
• Line manage and support the HR Manager, fostering their continued development. 
• Oversee the pay and grading framework, ensuring fairness, consistency and role clarity.
• Champion and embed CoppaFeel!’s values in all people-related decisions across the organisation. 
• Undertake any other reasonable duties or responsibilities as required by the Charity.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications 

Essential

• CIPD Level 5 minimum (Level 7 desirable).
• Significant HR generalist experience at senior advisory or lead level.
• Experience designing and implementing HR policies, frameworks and people processes.
• Experience leading EDI, culture or wellbeing initiatives.
• Strong understanding of UK employment law and GDPR.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels.
• Experience supporting managers through complex ER matters. 
• Ability to translate strategy into practical, people-focused solutions. 

Desirable

• Charity sector experience or experience working in a mission driven organisation.
• Coaching or leadership development experience.
• Experience in a small organisation or growing charity.
• Experience supporting organisational change or expansion.
• Experience using people data, metrics or HR systems to support decision making.

The Youth Employability Service

CXK delivers the Youth Employability Service (YES) across East Sussex, commissioned by East Sussex County Council. We offer information, advice, support and guidance to young people in academic years 12 and 13 who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), helping them to explore their options, plan and then take their next steps. We also work with schools supporting young people in year 11 who are at risk of becoming NEET and those who have been Electively Home Educated. Liaising with a range of other services, YES is focussed on supporting young people to achieve their potential.

The Team

The YES team support young people from across the county, seeing them at CXK bases, partner venues or in community settings. The team assess and action plan with young people referred to the service, supporting them to understand their options and take steps toward achieving their goals around education, training and /or employment. Working with a wide range of young people, the team approach is focused, creative and persistent, building on young peoples’ confidence and motivation alongside their skills and personal growth.

 

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Skills and Employability Adviser.

You will support a caseload of young people aged 16 to 18 who are not in education, employment, or training (NEET), or at risk of becoming NEET with part of your caseload being Electively Home Educated Year 11 young people who may be at risk of becoming NEET. You will guide them through re-engagement with suitable post-16 provisions and provide targeted intervention to those who have withdrawn from or not started their Post 16 provisions.

Working across the West of the county, including Wealden, with schools and FE Colleges you will play a key role in ensuring that young people receive the tailored guidance and support they need to progress confidently into further education, training, or employment. You will build positive working relationships through co-located working, and accurate input into relevant databases.

This role also supports our Electively Home Educated Year 11’s with transition support to their Post 16 pathway.

You will maintain regular contact with the young people you support, building trust and ensuring that casework is delivered with care and consistency. Your role will involve assessing needs, action planning, reviewing progress, and adapting support as required. You'll also act as a champion for relevant opportunities and resources—ensuring young people, parents/carers, providers, and wider stakeholders are aware of what’s available and how it can help.

 

About You

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience working with NEET, Risk of NEET young people, who understands the post-16 education and training landscape and the importance of person-centred support. FearFree delivers services across the Southwest for victims, children and perpetrators of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking with the aim to break the cycle of abuse and support all to live free from fear. We provide trauma responsive support, and this post will be fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders and partners experience this in our daily delivery.

Based within the Wiltshire Domestic Abuse Service, the IDVA team work within a multi-agency system to provide a trauma responsive, person centered independent service for victims of domestic abuse, empowering choice through informed decision making.  You will hold a case load of high-risk victims, working proactively to support them and their families.

FearFree is committed to flexible and hybrid working and this role will be a mix of home based and office based, alongside requiring travel for multi-agency meetings and other deliverables.

• Support the empowerment of the service user - assisting people to recognise the features and dynamics of domestic abuse present in their situation, and help them regain control of their lives.

• Support service users to maintain existing accommodation and to advocate on their behalf, in order to access accommodation and additional support.
• To recognise, respect and address the needs of service users who face barriers when seeking help to access the service, including those from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds, LGBTQIA+ communities, disabled people, those with complex needs and other groups which services have found difficult to reach.
• Provide practical and emotional support in relation to criminal and civil remedies, housing, health, education, employment, welfare benefits, counselling, legal aid and children’s support.
• Accompany service users, when needed, to other relevant agencies and support them in their interactions with these agencies.

About the role

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is responding to the largest emergency in our 40+ year history. Over the last two years support for our cause has seen significant growth in income as tens of thousands of supporters have joined MAP, including individuals, trusts, foundations and corporates. Our challenge now is to retain this interest and ensure we sustain income as we respond to the ongoing emergency and the longer-term health of Palestinians over the coming years. With an ambition to be a £50m organisation by 2028, the supporter operations and insights team will play a vital role in enabling over one million Palestinians to access improved healthcare annually by 2028.

We’re looking for a strategic and people‑focused leader to head up our Supporter Operations and Insights team. A newly expanded team, this senior role will ensure our supporters receive an outstanding experience, while overseeing supporter operations, supplier management, data quality and insights. You’ll work closely with Fundraising and Finance colleagues to ensure income is processed accurately; deliver insights that drive decision‑making; and ensure operations are compliant and effective.

Many of our systems and processes are on a journey to be made fit for purpose, including a new CRM (MS Dynamics) which is currently being implemented with the support of the Digital, Data and Technology team within the Chief Operating Officer’s team.

What is the role about?
This role leads the teams that look after our supporters behind the scenes and on the front line. You’ll make sure every supporter has a positive experience, that donations are handled accurately, and that we use data and insight to continuously improve how we work.

What will you be responsible for?
You’ll lead supporter care, operations and the performance and insights teams, manage key suppliers, work closely with Finance on income reconciliation, and turn data into insight that shapes fundraising decisions. You won’t manage the CRM system itself, but you’ll work closely with the CRM Technical lead and Head of Data and Insights to ensure supporter needs are met as we continue to embed a new CRM.

Baca is dedicated to providing support and care to 16 to 18 year old unaccompanied asylum seeking children who are newly arrived in the country, helping them rebuild their strength, dignity, and hope for the future. We work closely with social workers and representatives from other agencies to benefit the young people in our care.

We are looking for a dynamic Senior Research & Analysis Officer to manage and deliver information, data, and analysis to help Youth Futures build evidence for impact.

This is an opportunity for a researcher with excellent data analysis, trial design and data skills to work widely across a busy and ambitious directorate, helping us understand and address youth unemployment in England.

Working with two teams in the Impact and Evidence Directorate, you will gain experience and contribute meaningfully across a range of research and evaluation activities.

• You will work with the Head of Evaluation and Principal Economist to support the design, delivery and management of data systems; scope, commission and manage high-quality evaluations; and conduct data analysis and quantitative social and economic research.
• You will also use your analytical expertise to extract insights from data, identify trends, and liaise with policy and communication teams to prepare outputs for external use.
• You will support the work of YFF’s evaluation team in generating new evidence for employment support programmes and Employer Practice through impact evaluations, including Randomised Controlled Trials.
• The role also offers opportunities to work on data visualisations for effective communication of data and research insights.

We are recruiting a Van Peer Coordinator to support our Hepatitis C peer project in the Oxford & Thames Valley area. This role involves driving a van across the region and working with people affected by substance use and hepatitis C. 

Peers use their lived experience to raise awareness of hepatitis C, reduce stigma, and help people access testing and treatment. 

About you 
You will: 

• Be confident driving a van and travelling long distances 

• Have experience working with people affected by substance misuse 

• Have lived experience of hepatitis C, or experience supporting someone who has 

• Be reliable, compassionate, and well organised 

• Have good communication skills 

• Hold a clean driving licence (essential) 

What you’ll do 

• Recruit and support volunteer peers 

• Work with NHS hepatitis C teams, drug and alcohol services, and homelessness services 

• Coordinate education sessions and community-based hepatitis C testing 

• Support people into hepatitis C treatment and ongoing care 

This role requires regular travel across Oxford & Thames Valley.
