The role:

If you’re at your best when you’re building brilliant culture and making volunteering work seamlessly, this role puts you right at the heart of our hospice. You’ll lead our volunteering offer and key people projects—helping our staff and volunteers feel valued, supported and equipped to make a difference for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and for their families.

Working closely with the Head of People, you’ll partner with teams across the hospice (including fundraising, facilities, care and communications) to deliver people projects and help bring our people strategy to life — creating an incredible culture and volunteer experience.

What you’ll do

· Lead and continually improve the end-to-end volunteer journey: recruitment, induction, recognition, retention and engagement.

· Deliver people projects that strengthen culture, wellbeing, inclusion and day-to-day experiences for colleagues and volunteers.

· Partner with teams across the hospice (including fundraising, facilities, care and communications) to plan skills, build capability and solve people challenges.

· Use insight and data (qualitative and quantitative) to review what’s working, spot opportunities and improve our volunteering proposition—especially for events and hospice-wide activity.

· Ensure volunteer systems, records and compliance are robust and accurate, aligned to GDPR, the Code of Fundraising Practice and CQC requirements.

· Build our profile externally representing Bluebell Wood at events and networks related to volunteering and people.

What You’ll Bring

· Strong HR and/or volunteer management experience, including leading or supervising a small team.

Purpose of the role

To deliver the Day One Casework bedside model to patients, or those closest to them, impacted by serious or multiple injuries which could result in life changing consequences, such as disability or death, within Leeds General Infirmary Hospital, providing support on some of the wards (such as rehabilitation), on-site clinics and other settings (e.g. rehabilitation centres). 

Have a visible physical presence within the Trust, becoming embedded into clinical teams focussing on major trauma pathways, facilitating outpatient and in-person legal clinics.

Key Responsibilites

The post holder’s primary duties and responsibilities are as follows: 

• Work closely, and in partnership, with NHS clinical staff and relevant community and voluntary sector organisations, to address the needs of patients, and those closest to them, affected by serious and life-changing injury. 

• Operate a case management approach to individuals, assessing and identifying needs, putting support in place including signposting, making referrals and direct support. 

• Provide consistency in assessment of all patients and their loved ones, irrespective of injury cause, age, status, giving access to the earliest possible specialist legal advice which supports rehabilitation and NHS cost recovery. 

• Maintain detailed case records, including accurate records of activity and intervention, using Day One’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, capturing and storing data in line with Day One policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. 

• Contributing towards report writing through the writing case studies and narrative to support data collection. 

• Implement processes and procedures to collect patient and family feedback and contribute to ongoing monitoring and evaluation of Day One services through providing relevant information, case studies and reports. 

• Deliver awareness raising presentations to clinical colleagues and departments. 

• Organise and facilitate outpatient and in person legal clinic drop-in sessions. 

• Build awareness of the role and charity’s purpose through building strong and effective relationships across the regional major trauma network, ensuring those who need it have access to Day One support. 

• Work closely with local authority, statutory and voluntary organisations to provide patient and family support and advocacy. 

• Help establish other support mechanisms once a person is no longer within the hospital setting, supporting the patient discharge process in conjunction with leadership from NHS staff. 

• Identify and support the recruitment and supervision of Day One volunteers, where appropriate. 

• Work closely in partnership with our Peer Support Service, focussed on promoting awareness and uptake within the region. 

• Work closely with the wider team on performance, quality, safety and effectiveness of all services, ensuring appropriate safeguarding policies are followed. 

• Work closely with our Fundraising and Communications team, supporting national activity, as well as regional initiatives to raise awareness and fundraise. 

• Be prepared to travel across the region and, on occasion, to other sites and national meetings as required. 

• Willingness to undertake continuous development and training for the role, including mandatory Day One and NHS Trust specific training. 

• Participate in external clinical supervision and monthly caseworker reflective practice to sessions to effectively explore and uphold professional boundaries within a safe, structure and supportive environment.

To work closely with those impacted by serious and life-changing injury, taking referrals and carrying out initial assessments of need, expertly navigating, signposting and putting services in place in the immediate aftermath of major trauma, including talking about and facilitating timely access to legal support to aid rehabilitation.

To establish and develop relationships with key stakeholders to promote Day One and address the needs of those affected by serious and life-changing injury. 

To work as part of the wider Day One Service’s team and organisation, taking responsibility for own record keeping and data collection in line with regulatory requirements.

The London Diocesan Fund (LDF) is seeking an Area Giving and Finance Adviser (Stepney) to play a key role within the Area Finance team, based at Causton Street.

Job Summary

The purpose of the Area Giving and Finance Adviser role is to provide comprehensive finance support to churches within the Stepney Area, aiding them in the development of their ministries, manage Common Fund giving and to support the Area Bishop’s staff team in the management of resources including monitoring clergy post numbers, curate funding, and other financial matters. As part of a small team of Area Giving and Finance Advisers, the role involves offering training, resources, and advice on parish financial management and administration, and advice on various giving methods, including online and contactless options. Additionally, the role entails promoting generous giving through training initiatives, facilitating the award of grants and loans to churches from Area funds, and fostering effective communication and relationship-building between the Area team, Finance team, and parish officers.

Job responsibilities

Financial support 

• Enable churches to develop their respective ministries, manage their finances effectively, and meet their statutory responsibilities. 
• Provide finance and other appropriate training, support, resources and advice to the clergy, PCCs and parish officers. 
• Assist the Bishop, Archdeacons and Area Deans in managing Common Fund giving by the churches in the Area. 
• Facilitate and monitor the award of grants and loans to churches from Area funds.

About the Role

The primary role of a Family Support Worker is to provide effective, efficient, and supportive service to children and their mothers residing in refuge with Solace Women’s Aid. Purpose of job

As the Cathedral continues to implement its ten-year Strategic Plan and strengthen its governance structures to support an ambitious future vision, the Governance Officer will play an essential supporting role in ensuring the effective governance of Wells Cathedral.

Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer (as Chapter Clerk) who holds formal responsibility for Chapter governance, the postholder will support the systems, processes, and documentation that underpin the work of Chapter, its committees and the Cathedral’s responsibilities as a registered charity. The postholder will help to ensure high standards of compliance, accountability and good governance and uphold the Cathedral’s legal and charitable obligations.

As part of a diverse organisation responsible for worship, ministry, heritage stewardship, visitor engagement, and regulatory compliance, the Governance Officer plays a key role in maintaining smooth and transparent governance operations. This includes coordinating governance workflows; preparing, maintaining, and tracking key documents; supporting meetings; and assisting with reporting requirements consistent with the Cathedral’s dual regulation by the Charity Commission and Church Commissioners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Governance Processes and Administration

· Manage all administrative aspects related to the Cathedral's governance bodies, including the Chapter and sub-committees, including scheduling and tracking deadlines.

About NUMbrella Lane: NUMbrella Lane (NBL) is one of few sex worker-led services in Scotland. It has been operating since 2022 after National Ugly Mugs (NUM) took over aspects of the programming from the charity that ran Umbrella Lane. Since then, the project has evolved to provide in-person health and wellbeing support to Scotland-based sex workers and host events and outings within the community with a focus on community connectivity, reducing isolation and addressing root causes of interpersonal and intersectional violence.

Role Summary: The main purpose of the Vocational Support Delivery and Development Assistant is to provide trauma-informed, non-judgemental vocational support to sex workers in Scotland. Support members to access tools, resources and pathways to income stability, career development and community-based opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 and group-based vocational support (CVs, learning pathways, financial literacy) in person and online
• Facilitate workshops and peer-led sessions
• Run regular in person drop in sessions, responding to community needs

We're looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Support Worker to join our Mental Health Social Care Service in Newham.

£28,808.00 per annum, working 40 hours per week pro rata.

Shift Patterns- 08:00-16:00, 14:00-22:00 inclusive of weekends

What you'll do:

* Completing/supporting housing referrals as required, supporting customers with budgeting tools and providing support to customers in accessing any benefits or addressing any issues such as benefits.
* Building a relationship with the local borough and any key agencies. For example: no recourse to public funds teams, homelessness teams, community mental health teams etc.
* Support planning, including ward management liaison, medication profiles and medication reviews as required, identifying the goals and steps to support customers to manage their own support and risk and ensuring these are correctly documented within Look Ahead's paperwork.
* Proactively engaging in learning and development activities to increase knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis
* To stay up to date with regard to development and research in the mental health field, housing support and in welfare benefits
* To treat all information - both verbal and written - in accordance with Look Ahead's policy on confidentiality
* The ability to be self-servicing in the terms of computer/word processing is a requirement of this post. If the appropriate I.T. skills are not gained by the recruitment stage, appropriate training may be provided by Look Ahead
* Ensure Look Ahead Health and Safety policies and local protocols are always adhered to.
* Maintain records as required at the project under the direction of management.
* Undertake any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post as may be reasonably assigned

What you'll bring:

Essential:
Typical qualifications from none to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent - whilst you may have little or no previous relevant sector work experience, eagerness to learn and engage with customers positively is a must. Look Ahead values experience of applicants who have used our services or those similar to Look Ahead services.
