Young Peoples’ Careers Service
CXK is the lead provider of Personal Careers Guidance to young people in schools and specialist centres across Kent & Medway, where we provide independent Personal Careers Guidance, via our CXK Young Peoples’ Careers Service.
The Team
We are a diverse and welcoming team of advisers, who use a wide variety of creative methods to deliver personalised, client centred, personal careers guidance, ranging from one-to-one sessions through to group guidance, parents and options evenings, as well as focused talks and assemblies. We have minimal admin and keep our clients’ experience central to what we do, providing an inclusive service with individualised action plans, including the use of visual career maps, career cards and white boards, alongside more traditional approaches where appropriate.
We follow the CDI code of ethics and best practice for Action Planning (which names and recognises CXKs innovative work in this area):
The team is led by Chris Targett RCDP, who alongside his work at CXK, is the current Chair of the Careers Writers Association and co-author of the recently released Career Development and Inclusive Practice book, published by Trotman Publishing in partnership with the CDI.

The Role
The Careers Adviser will travel across Kent, Medway, West Kent and Mid Kent Regions to a broad range of school and college settings, delivering creative and inclusive Personal Careers Guidance, as well as assemblies and drop-in sessions as required.
Each student and each learning environment will be unique, so the opportunity lends itself well to candidates who enjoy traveling and working in varied locations, meeting people from diverse backgrounds, and educating people of all abilities.
You will routinely liaise with Careers Leaders and senior school/ college staff to arrange and deliver activities for students during the school day. Whilst most delivery will take place between 8:30am and 4pm, travel before and after these times will be required and occasional attendance at parents’ and options evenings will also be required, but you will be given time off in lieu where this is applicable.
We would require you to work five days-a-week, term time only, with a pro rata holiday entitlement. If you would prefer part-time only employment (minimum of three days a week), this can be negotiated.

Minimum Criteria
· Level 6 (or above) Careers Guidance Qualification
· In possession of a full, clean UK Drivers Licence with access to your own vehicle
Core Competencies
· Experience of delivering CEIAG in schools / colleges, face-to-face with young people Enthusiasm
· A willingness to deliver activities during school timetables; occasional evening events rebalanced via “time off in lieu.”
· Knowledge of Post 16 and Post 18 education and training routes for young people with and without additional needs and disabilities
· Adept at juggling activities and travel, emails and routine project admin; balancing school site work with homebased preparation and admin
· Experience of Microsoft products and ability to use them effectively, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

This role at ISEAL is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong administration experience, interested in moving into a HR role or broadening their HR experience in an organisation is now consolidating recent growth. With significant recent growth in employee numbers and with staff based both in London and international locations, the HR function is looking to continue to strengthen its processes to provide excellent support throughout the employee lifecycle. Continuing the improvement journey already started, you will coordinate the induction processes for new employees as well as supporting regular HR processes linked to probation and performance reviews and employee communications.

The Key Responsibilities we will entrust you with:
HR administration
- Support Senior Manager, HR & Operations in day-to-day delivery of ISEAL´s HR provision
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files, contracts, and HR records in line with legal requirements in the UK and other locations of employment
- Support onboarding processes, coordinating and overseeing employee inductions, including ownership of keeping Employee Handbook up to date
- Help with and monitor the implementation and administration of all HR policies, procedures and tools
- Develop and deliver guidance and training for ISEAL staff and line managers about HR policies, practices and procedures
- Organise timely review of policies and communication of updates or changes to any such documents and procedures
- Coordinate annual performance review processes, ensuring timely completion of documents
- When required, support recruitment process managed by external consultant
Improvement to Processes
- Input to continued improvement of Learning and Development provision
- Implement move to new HR system, including contributing ideas for how best to use the system
- Support revision of HR policies to ensure all policies are up-to-date and new policies produced if needed
Systems, data and reporting
- Improve processes and systems for HR data capture and to ensure consistent and accurate data
- Help identify an appropriate HR system for increased automation of HR processes and employee self service functions
- Analyse employee and HR data and help prepare regular reports
Essential experience, knowledge and attributes
- Experience working in the HR function in a small to medium sized organisation
- Experience working on learning and development function
- Previous experience in an administration or coordination role, working with a variety of administrative systems and tools
- Track record in contributing to improving processes or procedures
- Strong ability to communicate and work effectively with individuals in a partly remote, international environment, including occasional international time-zone calls
- Service-oriented attitude and good interpersonal skills enabling effective relationships with internal clients and other stakeholders
- Excellent written and spoken English, with proven ability to provide clear guidance both in verbal and written format
- Proficient IT skills, familiarity with virtual meeting tools (e.g. Teams, Zoom, etc.)

- Experience working with confidential information and an understanding of the need preserve confidentiality

The successful applicant will have experience working closely with a range of services to support individuals to address and/or recover from their dependence on drugs and or alcohol. Specialist Support Workers within Look Ahead are required to have either an extra dimension of experience or a higher qualification level as determined relevant for the post. You will have excellent knowledge of harm reduction techniques and various treatment approaches for addiction and be confident in the use of these approaches. These should include but are not limited to medication treatment, behavioural counselling and relapse prevention. You will also provide information, social inclusion and vocational opportunities to support people to recover and stay well; exercise choice and control in their care and lives; and participate on an equal footing in the community. Provision of care and support is also provided to develop a model of re-enablement towards self-advocacy, self-management and empowerment, incorporating the principles and practice of recovery, co-production and peer support. Post holders will deliver trauma informed and asset-based support to a caseload of up to 4 complex service users with substance misuse support needs. - The caseload is subject to change depending on the service needs. Building Tomorrow – Neighbourhood Housing Project Lead
Oasis exists to build stronger communities where there is no one left out. Building Tomorrow is an innovative new neighbourhood housing programme that Oasis is developing in Sheffield and Scunthorpe.
We are pioneering a new community-led solution to housing challenges in two communities where Oasis already works, running five schools and two community Hubs. We are working to develop quality housing that offers opportunity for families to find a stable and supportive place of belonging in community.
The programme will combine quality housing, excellent education (provided through Oasis academies), and community wrap-around support (delivered through our existing youth and community teams). This programme is designed to offer a preventative approach to housing challenges, acting as a proof of concept that can be replicated in other communities around the country.
This role will act as the central point of coordination which will ensure Building Tomorrow moves successfully from initiation to full activation over the initial 18-month period. In the activation period, we will purchase and refurbish the 20 properties, and this role will work in close coordination with our property consultants. As properties are purchased, we will begin to move into the delivery phase, where we start to house families.

What will you do?
The key areas of responsibility for the role are as follows:

The Role
Reporting to the CEO, this new senior leadership role is central to ensuring MediCinema’s financial sustainability, operational excellence, and people-centred culture. Business Operations
· Ensure efficient delivery of office services and a safe, well-maintained working environment.

· Support the commissioning of new MediCinema sites, including project planning and stakeholder engagement.

· Lead on strategic workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and talent retention.
· Embed inclusive HR policies and practices aligned with MediCinema’s values.
· Provide support and evolve processes to strengthen employee relations, performance management, and wellbeing.
· Support line managers in developing high-performing, motivated teams.
· Ensure compliance with employment law and HR best practice.
· Work with the external HR consultant on HR admin,including due diligence, onboarding and recruitment.
Governance and Compliance
· Maintain up-to-date policies and procedures across finance, HR, and operations.
· Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and safeguarding requirements.
· Support the CEO and Board with governance processes, reporting, and policy development.
The Person
Experience and Background
We are seeking a strategic leader with experience across finance, operations, and HR — ideally within the UK charity or public health sector. You may have worked in healthcare, education, or social impact organisations, and bring a strong understanding of compliance, governance, and people leadership. Candidates with a relevant background in SMEs may be considered, but will need to demonstrate a commitment to quickly developing the specialist knowledge required by charity regulations and an aptitude for operating within the third sector.
You will be comfortable working in a hands-on, collaborative environment, with a deep respect for MediCinema’s mission and values.
Skills and Qualifications
· Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or AAT)

Responsible for the safe delivery and environment of the Osborne Centre (both Partners and staff) delivering a range of quality services for our Partners (service users) and ensuring that the management systems are in place and operational.
Qualification(s) Level: Applicants with Level(s) 5 Leadership & Management Social Care/ Education/ Health (particularly with adults with learning disabilities) or similar qualifications (including degree equivalents or better), are especially welcome however we will consider applicants with alternative qualifications and experience subject to expressly agreeing to upskill on the job and provided there is an evidentiary trail that can show evidence of a caring mentality and empathy with our service user group and or in a home care environment or other learning type institution.
Overall purpose:
To manage all aspects of the ‘Operations’ of Osborne Partnership and supporting the strategic development of the organisation alongside the Chief Executive to ensure a fully functional and operational service for the overall benefit of our Partners (service users) day learning and support development as per the Charities aims and objectives of Education, Skills Attainment, and Employability Skills for adults with learning disabilities.
To actively train and support Partners to gain independence skills, life skills, and other skills through a ‘mixed ability’ support service that includes supporting the training of Partners through formal qualifications (Entry level NVQ teaching & support), on the job training, and internal qualifications and benchmarks.
To ensure that the service is:
- Properly monitored and utilising an internal database for the recording of information (Storii);
- Delivered on the basis of an agreed organisational and service Scheme of Works/ Service Plan as well as Partner Individual Learning Plans (ILPs);
- Reviewing Partner progress on a quarterly basis showing ‘distance travelled’ by individual Partners;
- Serviced by managed, trained and motivated staff;
- Delivered under the highest standards of health & safety and safeguarding welfare for our Partners.
Role:
To develop, support and deliver the day to day operations of the Osborne Partnership, in partnership with other senior Managers, and Service Managers, with a particular focus on the quality agenda as it relates to Partner services, service development, benchmarking, and external accreditations. The role will ensure that Partner services are engaged in a cycle of continuous review and improvements and providing Service Managers with the tools and support to deliver the highest standards of service through building confidence and expertise, and identifying service and personal development training where appropriate.
Main Duties:
1. To support the development and best practice of all Osborne Partnership service areas to ensure relevant, meaningful, and objective focused delivery for Partners.
2. To work with the relevant Service Managers and Project Supoort Officers (PSOs) to review current service delivery and to provide an objective, supportive, but challenging voice in the development of services.
3. To benchmark Osborne Partnership services and delivery against similar services in the borough and wider afield.
4. Working with other senior managers, identify and action new service areas of delivery commensurate with the Osborne Partnership Memorandum and Articles of Association and subject to Partners consultation and approval.
5. To identify, research, and action plan frontline external accreditations that will provide a objectifiable list of outcomes that will support and benefit Partners; staff development; and the professional standing of the Osborne Partnership.
6. To support senior managers in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures as they may relate to updated legislation; new service provision; Partners welfare, safety and development; staff development and benefits; or any other relevant area of service.
7. To line manage (including appraisals) relevant Service Managers as leaders of services ensuring that they understand the concept of continuous improvement and are supporting Project Support Officers (PSOs) to do likewise.
8. To ensure that Service Managers have identified and developed service schemes of work, annual development training plans for Service Managers and their PSOs in line with continuous improvement principles and to ensure best practice activities for Partners.
9. To work with senior managers to identify and action activities/ services/ initiatives/ documents/ plans that will support the on-going professionalisation and modernisation agenda of the Osborne Partnership
10. To actively support other senior managers in the day to day delivery of the Osborne Centre service provision ensuring health and safety at work principles are adhered to; safeguarding of Partners is paramount; that staff are adequately prepped and prepared for delivery of their services; and that a professional service approach is adhered to at all times.
11. To be the primary development Officer of the Storri database as it relates to Osborne Partnership, information gathering (and mindful of GDPR), and Partmner journeys travelled in the service.
12. To identify personal development opportunities and requirements as dictated by the role.
13. Any other reasonable task as defined as a management role and directed from time to time by the Chief Executive.
14. To undergo training necessary in relation to the requirements of the post.
15. To undertake any other duties consistent with the overall purpose of the post within the competence of the post holder.

5. A good general education, sufficient to communicate verbally in a clear manner, and to complete monitoring forms and write reports in a clear and concise manner.
DESIRABLE
1. Qualification in Leadership & Management at Level 5 (or above) and willingness to train in other areas relevant to working with vulnerable adults (see below).
2. Ability to break down tasks into achievable steps for an individual with learning difficulties.
3. Training/ qualification in areas relevant to working with vulnerable adults, e.g. Safeguarding, Lifting & Handling, more general Health & Safety, etc.
