Are you a highly-organised, unflappable administrator with the ability to manage competing priorities in a timely manner? The Student Christian Movement is looking for someone to lead the administration function of our small but mighty charity.

Responsible to the CEO, you will work across the charity, acting as secretary to our board of Trustees, responsible for HR and payroll function, act as line manager to two administrators, and add to the sustainability of the organisation by writing and submitting robust trust funding applications.

SCM has six members of staff, all but one of whom are part time, and achieves a great deal. Supporting progressive Christian students and members across the country to put their faith into action, no two weeks are ever the same. We are a dynamic and energetic organisation, working to challenge injustice and exclusion, grow thoughtful disciples and create community.

Each SCM community is different, but students can expect to find a warm welcome as well as activities including bible study, prayer, campaigns and social action, talks, discussions, and socials. As a national movement we come together at regional and national events to learn more about our faith and spend time as a community. We take action on issues of social justice chosen by our members.

What does this mean day to day?

• You’ll spend time listening to what’s emerging in communities, building trust with partners, and making sense of how insight, decisions, and action travel across the system.

We are looking for a special Events Officer to provide key support with the delivery of a series of high-quality events for a wonderful health charity.

Fundraising Officer Job Description

Key Responsibilities Fundraising and Finance:

• To carry out and contribute to the fundraising strategy
• Write comprehensive and compelling funding applications to Trusts and Foundations, tailoring them to meet a range of criteria

About the role

As the Project Officer for Dartmoor, you will deliver the Bike It Moor project, which forms part of the Dartmoor’s Dynamic Landscapes (DDL) programme. You will work in partnership and collaboration with other the DDL partners, who are also delivering projects as part of DDL, to accomplish shared objectives and targets. The DDL programme is led by Dartmoor National Park Authority (DNPA) and made possible by a grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.  Thanks to National Lottery players, we are able to offer this exciting new role.

You will engage and work with selected schools and their wider communities in the project areas, developing and delivering fun, engaging and innovative activities and events. These will be inclusive and promote and enable all forms of active travel (walking, cycling, scooting and wheeling) to school. 

You will plan and deliver practical skills (like cycle and scooter skills sessions, bike maintenance and led walks and rides), information events (such as assemblies, drop-in sessions, pop up stands), competitions, incentive programmes and classroom sessions. You will also plan and deliver day and overnight cycling and walking experiences, giving pupils the opportunity to explore and enjoy the local green landscape, immerse pupils in the natural heritage of the area.

You will report directly to the local Project Manager and will recruit, train and support local volunteers on the project, as well as engaging with project officers across the South region and the UK.

Due to the nature of the role, a full DBS is required to be completed by the successful person. Candidates should be based within the geographical area with regular travel expected.

About you

You should have experience of working with young people from a wide variety of backgrounds and be able to adapt your approach to meet varying needs. You must demonstrate evidence of planning and delivering engaging and interactive group workshops and activity sessions, as well as experience of events planning.

You will have experience of delivering successful behaviour change projects, ideally with a physical activity focus, and have an understanding of community based or environmental projects.

FLEX is looking for a passionate advocate with a good understanding of the UK political system, of labour abuse and/or exploitation and human trafficking in the UK, and demonstrable experience of coalition working and building relationships with key stakeholders working in the anti-trafficking, employment rights, and/or immigration sectors. This recruitment comes at an exciting and challenging time for our work at the intersection of employment rights and immigration policy. The Role

As our eCommerce Officer, you will support the delivery of Yorkshire Cancer Research’s eCommerce income targets by managing the day-to-day operations of the eCommerce team. This includes overseeing the performance of eCommerce Assistants, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction, and driving operational efficiency to meet income goals.

Specifically, you will:

People Management

• Effectively manage the eCommerce Assistants, providing regular guidance, coaching, and performance reviews.
• Oversee daily and monthly tasks and priorities to ensure smooth operations and optimal productivity.

Commercial Responsibility

• Oversee daily and monthly tasks and priorities to ensure smooth operations and optimal productivity.
• Monitor and report on daily, weekly, and monthly income performance against targets.
• Ensure product listings are optimised for visibility and sales across all eCommerce platforms and contribute to weekly listings to ensure income targets are reached.
• Manage customer service processes to ensure high satisfaction and repeat engagement.
• Support the development and execution of promotional campaigns and seasonal sales strategies.

Continual Process Improvement

• Identify and implement improvements to operational workflows, including listing, order processing, and dispatch.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., data protection, trading standards).
• Use data and customer feedback to refine processes and enhance the customer experience.
• Embed the new process of shops sending stock for eCommerce as a business-as-usual practice.
• Utilize ListingMonster AI to optimize product listings and improve efficiency.
• Work closely with the Warehouse Operations Manager to ensure stock availability and timely dispatch through effective management of warehousing capacity.

Collaboration & Communication

• Liaise with the Head of Operations to ensure alignment between product sourcing and operational capacity in the new goods ranges.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to support promotional campaigns, product launches, and seasonal activity that drive traffic and sales.
• Engage with other internal stakeholders (e.g., Finance, IT, Supporter Engagement) to ensure smooth operations and alignment with wider organisational goals.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• To be ideally educated to A level or equivalent.  
• To have eCommerce operations or retail management experience with eCommerce elements.
• To have strong communication and customer service skills.
• To have the ability to analyse performance data and implement improvements.
• To have good communication skills to be able to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• To have accuracy in tasks, including product listings and customer correspondence.
• To have experience in budget monitoring and progress tracking.
• To have organisational skills essential for autonomous working and teamwork across an organisation.
• To have excellent verbal/written communication and customer service skills.

Community Action Suffolk has an exciting new vacancy to support the Chief Executive drive forward its vision and services.

We are looking to recruit a strategic leader as the Chief Operating Officer.

As part of the Executive Team this role will provide strategic leadership across the charity and subsidiary companies operations.

Contributing to the implementation of CAS’s core strategy, annual budget, business plan and strategic priorities, you will be responsible for leading and motivating staff, and will work with the Deputy Director of Operations and Business Development to support provision across the county and generate sustainable forms of income.  You will be expected to continually and ambitiously seek further funds to support our priorities and help develop CAS as the ‘go to’ organisation for the VCFSE sector in Suffolk.

You will foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and high performance ensuring alignment between functions to improve collaboration and drive results and will identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.

Job Title: Floating Support Worker

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Floating Support Worker to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children living in our dispersed refuge accommodation in Warwickshire. This service will provide emergency accommodation across Warwickshire with high-quality domestic abuse support, ‘by-and-for’ services for survivors of domestic abuse and their children. 

The post holder will provide high quality support and safety planning to survivors and their children who are fleeing domestic abuse. This includes enabling survivors to access housing, welfare, benefits and legal advice.  A key requirement is to provide personal welfare support and to ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment in accordance with Refuge’s philosophical principles.

The Floating Support Worker (FSW) will carry a caseload of survivors of domestic abuse to enable them to provide a more holistic and intensive support package. They will work closely with survivors from the point of crisis through to move on from the emergency accommodation. FSWs will work in partnership with both statutory and voluntary sector partners to ensure that the whole range of survivors’ needs are met.

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

• Approximately 15 years of senior finance operational leadership experience prefered in multi-national commercial sector and/or international charity sector.
• Significant team management experience, including remote working across different time zones.
• Proven ability to lead change, including working well across many operational disciplines (Field programs, IT, Legal and HR teams, for example).
• Oversight of a complex treasury function providing financial access across geographical locations.
• Experience communicating and providing reports to Board Audit & Finance Committee.
