About the Role
The Co-Executive Director – Development & Impact will provide joint leadership for People’s Economy, inspiring and driving our team, community and partners to achieve our mission. Their focus is on building and strengthening the organisation by ensuring we have the systems, resources, knowledge and processes in place to scale our programmes and deliver our strategy effectively.
This is a generalist leadership role focused on building organisational capacity rather than holding deep specialist expertise in all areas. The postholder will instead assess what we need to strengthen the systems that support our programmes and make it happen.

Purpose of the role

Main duties and responsibilities
- To work closely with the HoFC and Senior Philanthropy Officer to develop and deliver a strategy for maximising support and income from high value corporate partnerships and foundations.
- To lead on prospecting and research, outreach and stewardship that result in high value, multi-year partnerships.
- To develop key messaging and resources that effectively deliver a compelling case for support which demonstrates impact and a return on investment.
- To steward and co-ordinate high value corporate relationships, working with the wider team as and when necessary.

The Community Engagement Officer is an essential role in fostering strong relationships with current and prospective members of the School Library Association community. The postholder will provide frontline support, drive online and in person engagement through outreach initiatives, and contribute to the growth and sustainability of the membership base. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about school libraries, children's books, education, and community-building. An expert communicator, you will be experienced in developing relationships with a variety of stakeholders at all levels and relish a busy role.
Coordinating and supporting our Branch network, you will collaborate on initiatives for development, delivery and new projects as they come online. You will be the first port of call for advice and expertise relating to school libraries and enabling our members to more effectively support their school communities. As resident children’s book expert, you will help with initiatives such as the SLA Information Book Award and member book related events. Supporting the delivery of online and in-person networking events and workshops for members, you will work with your SLA colleagues, in particular the Training and Events Officer, to deliver a high-quality member offer and to ensure member needs are reflected in all offerings. The ability to travel to training and events across the UK is essential. Duties include:
Branch network and member support
- Support the SLA Branch Network and member outreach
- Identify opportunities for developing initiatives to grow and develop the Branch network community, that will deliver on the SLA mission
- Develop strong relationships with local, regional and national stakeholders to support network growth and enable members to take full advantage of all relevant opportunities available to them

The salary for this position is £19, 594.59 (FTE £29,000) for 25 hours per week, and comes with a 6% employer pension contribution.

The Role
This is a key role acting as a delivery partner on our projects, working on streams of community work across the Midlands, and within the staff team.
Responsibilities
- Projects and Workstreams: Overseeing and ensuring outstanding delivery on multiple community projects through Flood Action Groups and Multi-Agency Meetings. Support and manage data collection that meets the aims of each project.

The Role
The Communications, Engagement and Advocacy Manager will lead the day-to-day delivery of the Trust’s communications, advocacy, and engagement work. You will help increase the Trust’s visibility, impact, and influence by delivering high-quality content, campaigns, events, and stakeholder engagement. This is a hands-on role requiring excellent communication, strategic awareness, and strong project management skills.
You will work closely with the Director of Communications and Engagement, colleagues across the organisation, and external partners to ensure our messaging is consistent, impactful and aligned with our 2025–2028 strategy.

Main purpose of the role
As our Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of our fundraising strategy, working closely with the Executive Director, the Finance Team, the Insight Fundraising Officer and the Trust and Foundations consultants. The Fundraising Manager will develop existing income streams and strengthen stakeholder and supporter engagement. As Fundraising Manager, you’ll work closely with other global team members to review and implement our fundraising strategy in line with our strategic goals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Play a leading role in the development and delivery of ICC’s fundraising strategy and the success of direct marketing, telemarketing and online campaigns to generate cash, regular giving and Gift Aid.
- Plan, research and implement all aspects of direct marketing aimed at acquiring and retaining new and existing supporters.
- Establish a robust donor stewardship strategy, building strong relationships with existing and potential donors and increasing donor retention and engagement
- Lead on the cultivation and stewardship of partnerships with churches.
- To manage the direction and relationship with our Trust and Foundation consultants by collaborating in the research, writing and submitting targeted Trust applications and report on grants awarded.
- Work with the team to support the legacy giving strategy, to maximise long-term income.
- To have oversight of the in-house CRM database (Microsoft D365). Work with the team to develop competency in the effective use of our CRM database as part of our donor stewardship and reporting structure.
- To assist and promote ICCs presence at fundraising and other events.
- Manage the ongoing development and implementation of a regular giving strategy and donor care to reduce attrition rates.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate direct marketing campaigns, Trust fundraising, recurring giving and legacy fundraising, provide results and feed the learning back into the organisation.
- To keep abreast of key issues and best practices within the direct marketing/fundraising sector.
- Ensure fundraising practices comply with GDPR, the Data Protection Act and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
