We have an opportunity for a Digital Officer to support the day-to-day running of the College website. You will work closely with staff, members and volunteers to produce, manage and improve content for the website. As part of a small and busy team, this role would suit someone who enjoys collaboration and working with a range of stakeholders.    

We are going through an exciting period of digital transformation and this role will work on a variety of digital projects to support this area of work. The role will also provide support on a project to move our website onto a new content management system (CMS.)    

You’ll have experience of website editing and using CMSs, with strong technical knowledge. In addition, you will be comfortable scoping and testing new website developments, working alongside our web developers. You’ll have the ability to draft and edit engaging copy for the web, adhering to a house style. You’ll also have excellent communications skills to develop positive working relationships with colleagues and members. An interest in medicine, science or healthcare would be advantageous but is not essential.  

The College is a professional membership organisation dedicated to the advancement of the science and practice of pathology. There are currently approximately 12,000 members, all of whom are pathologists based in hospitals, universities and laboratories in the UK and overseas. The College’s main tasks are to set and maintain training standards for doctors and scientists, to advice on the appointment of consultant pathologists, to ensure the membership is kept up to date with current practice through the continuing professional development scheme, and to promote the latest developments in pathology by holding scientific meetings.

The College’s mission is to promote excellence in the practice of pathology and to be responsible for maintaining standards through training, assessments, examinations and professional development.

Summary of the role:

As the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)  Officer, you will support the MEAL Manager in implementing and developing Muslim Aid's MEAL system. Your role involves strengthening project monitoring, guiding Country Offices and Partners, and ensuring quality and compliance with humanitarian standards. You will also support data collection, analysis, and the measurement of progress against global and departmental strategies, contributing to accountability, learning, and effective service delivery. Additionally, you will work closely with partners and donors to enhance systems within the global programme portfolio of Muslim Aid.

About the Role:

1. Collaborate with the MEAL Manager, Programmes team, country offices, and partners to design MEAL systems that align with project goals, MAUK’s global objectives, and local needs, ensuring they are measurable, relevant, and grant-compliant.
2. Conduct ongoing assessments of MEAL requirements and capacities, working with focal points and programme leads to enable real-time programme adjustments and system enhancements.
3. Support the regular and accurate updating of the MA MEAL system (TolaData) in coordination with country offices and partner focal points.
4. Assist in monitoring programme progress by designing MEAL plans, indicators, targets, timelines, and data collection tools.
5. Support the preparation of terms of reference for evaluations, case studies, and impact assessments in coordination with focal points.

We provide mentoring and peer support groups to people in Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea and the neighbouring boroughs.

Last year we provided one-to-one mentoring to over 246 people, and group support to a further 252 people. About the Role

We're seeking a driven, empathetic, Programme Officer to help make a difference in the lives of asylum seekers, refugees, and young people in London.

As a Programme Officer, you'll play an important role in supporting our work, from helping recruit and train volunteer mentors to ensuring our CRM system is up to date and being the first point of contact for young people and their families. You’ll also ensure our mentors feel supported and will help them to provide a great experience for the young people they support.

Your role will also involve hands-on activities, like organising half-term trips, running weekly Youth Support Groups, and working directly with young people in temporary accommodation.

You'll be a confident communicator, who enjoys working with people from diverse backgrounds and has a passion for supporting children and young people to improve outcomes. Alongside an excellent ability to manage multiple tasks, you'll also be able to work as part of a growing team. Net Zero Property Officer

The Vacancy

We are offering this unique and exciting opportunity to join in the work of the Connexional Property Support and Environmental Engagement teams and the wider Methodist Church in helping to deliver the strategic target to make all our church property net zero by 2030.

You will be based in the Property Support team, working alongside the Director and colleagues within the team to provide the essential support and guidance the team offers to Trustees, Ministers, Connexional colleagues and the wider church.  You will also be working closely with other Connexional colleagues outside the team, particularly the Director of Environmental Engagement and Action for Hope Implementation Officer.

In particular, your role will provide a crucial focus at a critical time - helping to guide Trustees and Ministers on how to make our church property net zero.  Enabling them to make informed choices and contribute to the promotion and delivery of the Methodist Church’s Action for Hope strategy

Through your specific knowledge and experience, you will also have input into the provision of guidance, advice, communications, training and good practice for District Property Officers and the wider Methodist Church on net zero property matters.

This is an office or home-based role, with the post holder focussing on supporting churches nationally.  You may be required to travel to our offices in Church House, London and other locations around the country as necessary.

We are looking for a part time Information & Advocacy Community Support Worker in Scotland.  You will be home based living in the North of Scotland.

You will ensure that service users (children and adults) and their families, receive high quality support, from the point of diagnosis and throughout their journey, and will assist them to access funding, equipment and care and support that they are entitled to. You will join a team that makes a real difference to the lives of the people living with muscle-wasting conditions, and their families, in Scotland. The role will be primarily home based, but there will also be a requirement to attend outpatient clinics within the region, attend home visits where appropriate and to support responding to queries through the helpline and information inbox. Some travel will be required to attend meetings and events outside of Scotland. You will work with both statutory and voluntary organisations, clinicians, and health and social care professionals to ensure that people living with muscle wasting conditions get the care and support they need to live well and independently.

The Foundation is recruiting a dynamic Legal Officer or Senior Legal Officer to expand the TrustLaw service in Central and Eastern Europe and support its flagship media freedom project focused on supporting journalists in exile. You will report to the Senior Legal Programme Manager, EMENA and work closely with the TrustLaw, Programmes and Media Freedoms teams. The position will be based in London.

About the Role

As a Legal Officer, you will: 

• Support the development of legal content for trainings and workshops that address the critical legal needs facing media outlets and journalists in exile. These are likely to include registration, employment, broadcasting and intellectual property law issues in new jurisdictions, to which they have relocated.

• Design, scope and oversee the development of tools, resources, and other content on key legal issues of relevance to journalists and independent media outlets in exile, such as setting up in new jurisdictions.

• Support the implementation of strategies to recruit, engage, partner and manage relationships with media outlets/NGOs and legal teams, in Central and Eastern Europe.

• Scope legal requests from media organisations and journalists, so that the requests clearly explain the legal needs for lawyers to advise on.

• Manage legal requests from media freedom organisations, journalists or outlets from inception to completion, including connecting our clients with lawyers in the TrustLaw network or other legal service providers, as appropriate, and follow up with the parties involved.

• Oversee, review and support the work of consultants and legal experts working on legal research, beneficiary needs assessments, issue mapping and content development.

• Support the development and implementation of a communications, engagement and outreach plan to media freedom and legal partners in the region, as needed, in collaboration with the Foundation’s Communications, Social and Media Freedom teams.

• Assist and support the project manager and TrustLaw team on the administrative, reporting, planning, monitoring, and logistical responsibilities linked to the role in a timely manner.

• Support the TrustLaw team on media freedom thought leadership projects and, as appropriate, represent TrustLaw by speaking publicly on our work at panels, conferences, or other speaking engagements.

About You

To be our Legal Officer, you will likely have:

• Legal experience to degree level or equivalent, preferably in human rights and/or media law, with experience working either in a law firm, media house, or non-profit organisation

• Understanding of international standards on press freedom and/or the media law/policy landscape in Europe, specifically Central and Eastern Europe 

• Experience of project management or coordination, especially on donor-funded projects is highly desirable

• Excellent time management and organisational skills including the ability to effectively and independently manage multiple matters and projects in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent research, drafting and analytical skills, with experience in training strongly preferred

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills –able to establish and maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally, with people from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds

• Experience in Salesforce would be favourable. Experience working with databases essential

• Fluency in English; working knowledge of Russian would be an advantage

• Proven ability to work in a large team with varied stakeholders

• Integrity, professional discretion and ability to handle confidential matters

• Willingness to travel internationally

• Pre-existing right to work in the UK.

This is a full-time fixed term contract until September 2026, based in London. The salary is relative to the charitable sector and will be commensurate with experience.

About this role

Join the mission to protect our planet's future by becoming our Senior Grant Officer. Synchronicity Earth is a growing organisation with an expanding team, and we are now looking for an experienced Grant Administrator to take ownership of the grant-making process within the team and organisation, building on the structures already in place to ensure we are a supportive and dynamic place to work.

Our grant-making model is unique. We channel philanthropic donations from trusts and foundations, corporate foundations, corporates or individual donors through partners and grantees (identified by our in-house team of conservation experts who make up the ‘Research Team’), which are undertaking conservation work in those areas that most critically need support. The central core and operating costs of Synchronicity Earth are generously covered by the Synchronicity Foundation, which means that any donation we receive is disbursed out to the field without a management or administration fee taken. This enables the donor to have confidence that 100% of their funding is going out to the field and delivering impact.

Specific responsibilities will include the following:

• Oversee and manage the distribution and administration of all grants within our programmes.
• Work with both the Programme and Philanthropy Teams to ensure all grants are matched with the relevant income stream.
• Oversee the grant admin work of programme officers to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of grant paperwork.
• Monitor and track grantee compliance with all report submissions and any other key deliverables.
• Manage the grant pipeline, reporting issues to the Programmes Team, working towards solutions with partners and enabling speedy grant giving.
• Support the Programme Team in development of rolling 3-year plans for funding, and liaise with Philanthropy Team to allow planning for fundraising.
• Provide advice and guidance to applicants and grantees on administrative procedures, policies and practices.
• Act as the internal point of contact for all grants in our database (Salesforce).
• Coordinate and deliver on reporting requirements to the Finance, Research, Operations and Risk teams for all grant giving.
• Support across teams as required on entry, cleaning, research and administration relating to data management.
• Work to develop processes and systems to improve efficiency.

Synchronicity Earth is a UK-based, global environmental charity which funds and supports organisations and individuals that aim to make our planet a better place to live for all its inhabitants.

We are a medium-sized charity which supports partners working to protect less well-known species and ecosystems around the world that receive less attention but face the greatest threats. We do this through our conservation Programmes, which identify, fund, and support organisations with a focus on: Amphibians, Asian Species, Congo Basin, Biocultural Diversity, Freshwater, and Ocean. We also support projects across two other areas: the More than Carbon initiative, a portfolio of climate and biodiversity projects targeted at corporate donors; and the Synchronicity Portfolio, which aims to foster systemic change to promote a greater focus on biodiversity conservation within different sectors. Our partners are mostly organisations embedded within their local communities, and often projects which also consider social impacts such as women’s health and empowerment, engagement with Indigenous Peoples, and sustainable livelihoods (e.g., small-scale fisheries) in addition to wildlife conservation.

Reporting, location, and work hours

This position is a permanent position that is based in Synchronicity Earth offices in Central London, with the option for hybrid office/home working if the successful applicant wishes with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office (laptop would be provided for home working). During a 6-month probationary period we would require 4 days per week in the office.  The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the UK until at least the end of 2028, we cannot accept applicants who require visa sponsorship for this role.

As a key member of our small, dedicated team, you will be instrumental in developing and marketing Icon membership while delivering exceptional customer service. Your role involves proactively engaging with members by processing their applications, managing renewals, addressing inquiries, and performing various administrative tasks.

In addition to member engagement, you will contribute to Icon’s communications and marketing efforts. You will use a blend of digital and analogue media to enhance Icon’s visibility both within the cultural heritage sector and beyond. Your support in executing marketing activities will be crucial in driving our broader growth ambitions.

This role is based at Icon’s office in Farringdon, London. Icon operates a hybrid working policy, which requires staff to be in the office at least two days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder.

The post-holder will report directly to the Marketing and Membership Manager.

Specific duties

Membership services

• Processing membership applications.
• Maintaining accurate membership records on the CRM system (Ready Membership).
• Responding to enquiries from prospective members, existing members, colleagues and the general public within agreed customer service timeframes.

Data management

• Effectively use data analytics to understand impact and success rates and deliver informative regular reporting against agreed KPIs.

Content and communications

• Working collaboratively with the wider Icon Team to develop the annual communications plan in line with the annual operational plan.
• Developing, commissioning and delivering the production of content for Icon’s website and Social Media channels in line with communications plan.
• Maintaining and updating Icon’s website in line with analytics data and communications plan.
• Developing and issuing Icon’s monthly internal and external email newsletters.

Marketing

• Contributing to the implementation of Icon’s Membership Growth Strategy by assisting with the development of recruitment campaigns.
• Supporting the implementation of marketing plans and promotional ideas.
• Supporting the development of Icon’s Social Media strategy and contribute to Icon’s Email Marketing strategy by utilising external newsletters to support broader advocacy work and marketing lead generation.
• Coordinating Icon’s presence at partner and sector events, including the design and production of marketing collateral, ensuring a visible presence and effective contribution is achieved.

Other

• Support Icon’s 28 special interest groups, including responding to queries and administering and promoting group events.
• Actively contributing to the development of marketing and communication initiatives relating to wider activity within Icon.
