We are looking for Volunteer Charity Retail Assistants to assist in the running of WFRC’s retail shop to maximise sales of new and used goods that help us to generate vital funds to support the vital services that we provide for women and families. You will be providing invaluable help in the operation of our charity shop.

Principal Responsibilities:

To serve customers and record purchases on the cash register

To work with staff and other volunteers to sort, steam, hang, ticket and size donated clothing for sale in the shop.

To help keep the shop clean.

To assist with shop displays.

Provide information leaflets and signpost any enquiries for WFRC services

Comply with WFRC relevant Policies and Procedures

Wear personal identity badge whilst volunteering

Represent the professional standards of the charity

Our cat admissions volunteers ensure the smooth running of our admissions process, helping our volunteer groups and teams admit cats into our care in the most effective and stress-free way possible for both people and cats. This role is undertaken from your own home. This could be the perfect volunteer role if you have administration experience, a passion for cats, or both!

Without the passionate and committed teams of volunteers across Cats Protection, we wouldn’t be able to help the thousands of cats and kittens each year that rely on us for help.

What can you expect to be doing?

• Responding to email and telephone enquiries regarding cats coming into care
• Managing the cat waiting list and prioritising accordingly
• Liaising with other volunteers, employees, local vets and members of the public
• Using our administrative systems to record cats coming into care

Volunteer Receptionist/Administrator

Location: Saint Michael’s Hospice – Crimple House, Hornbeam Park, Harrogate, HG2 8NA

Hours: Flexible hours – Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am and 5pm. 

Volunteers generally undertake to cover a 4 hour shift 9am-1pm and 1pm-5pm

Closing Date: 28th April 2024

Interviews will be held after closing, on or around the 7th and 14th of May 2024 in Harrogate.

An exciting opportunity to join our team of Volunteers supporting the Reception and Administration staff based at Crimple House, who are the first point of contact for anybody arriving at the Hospice.

Key responsibilities will include answering and directing telephone enquiries, greeting patients, patient visitors and staff, ensuring they are warmly welcomed at all times, as well as undertaking a variety of administration tasks using Word and Excel.

The Reception desk is manned Monday to Friday and volunteers can undertake part or full day cover.  The volunteer rota is set a month in advance and volunteers will be contacted to gain their availability at least 2 weeks in advance.

Perspective Volunteers will be contacted via the telephone initially and if appropriate will then be invited for an interview, where they will have the opportunity to see in more detail what the role involves.

About the Role

Headway UK are seeking a passionate and dedicated volunteer to join our team as a Fundraising Administrator. As a volunteer Fundraising administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting the fundraising team look after our supporters who raise funds for our work. Your contributions will directly impact the lives of the individuals we support, empowering them to live fulfilling lives after brain injury.

Responsibilities

• Processing and posting fundraising materials
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of supporters through our database
• Writing thank you letters to acknowledge donations
• Taking telephone enquiries and donations

Responsibilities:

Executive Director Assistance

▪ Provide direct support to Executive Director to ensure IWI meets organisational goals and targets;

▪ Ensure staff reports and assignments are submitted timely & completely;

Who Cares? Scotland Education and Engagement team are looking for a Virtual Education and Engagement volunteer to assist in the delivery of online sessions, discussing and reflecting on Corporate Parenting practice in relation to people with Care Experience. The role will involve providing technical support and supporting the delivery team where necessary. This is an exciting and newly developed role which gives practical experience within the Third Sector, providing training to Corporate Parents on care experience, and would allow for personal development for a suitable candidate.

This position is almost exclusively online, therefore, open to anyone with the ability to work remotely and possesses IT skills.

Birmingham and Black Country Wildlife Trust is one of 46 local, independent Wildlife Trusts and is the charity that works to make the environment of Birmingham and the Black Country (Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton) a better place for wildlife and people through environmental education, community involvement, ecological and practical work.

We are a small resources team and would like some help with:

·administration tasks to help keep our volunteer records up to date;

·answering some emails and perhaps making some calls to potential new volunteers; and

·digitalising some of our paper documents which are currently stored in the office.

We would like someone who could come into our office (B18 7EP) on a Tuesday or Wednesday. We would like this to be a longer term role as we will need to set you up on our volunteering systems and provide training to use them.

Main tasks include:

Checking and responding to enquiry emails.

Perhaps making a few outgoing calls to potential volunteers.

Updating records on our volunteer system.

Scanning and filing documents.

Data inputting.

General office tidying.

Dealing with forms and sharing information with relevant staff.

 What skills or experience are needed to do the role?

Some administrative experience would be useful, but is not essential.

We would like someone who is confident in using new computer systems and can work independently.

We can provide training and ongoing support in using our software and computer systems. We would also provide training on data protection and GDPR. Ongoing support would be available from our Resources team.
