Position: Area Fundraising Manager
Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Hours: 30 hours per week, 1 day working from home allowance
Salary: £39,000 - £41,500 (FTE) depending on experience; (5% pension contribution), 33 days of annual leave entitlement (inclusive of bank holidays) pro rata

Job Purpose
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser. This role won’t just be supporting fundraising internally but will be leading a fundraising change across the borough. As our Area Fundraising Manager, you will lead a new strategy to transform how our communities give, collaborate and create impact. You’ll organise large‑scale fundraising initiatives that bring the whole town together from landmark public events to innovative collective campaigns to smaller, targeted initiatives. As our role as an infrastructure charity, we have a vision to help generate more sustainable income for a wide range of VCSE organisations in Barnsley whilst bringing people together to proudly support the brilliant charities, social enterprises and groups who hold up our communities every day.
You’ll also work closely with our members across the sector to build confidence, skills and long‑term capability, delivering or facilitating high‑quality fundraising training, mentoring and resources. Your efforts will be particularly focused in the areas of regular giving, events, corporate income and fundraising strategies. Through your guidance, local organisations will build skills, ambition and long‑term resilience ensuring no organisation is left behind because of confidence, connections or know‑how.
You won’t just be supporting others but you will play a pivotal role to help Barnsley CVS grow stronger. One day per week will be spent supporting our own initiatives to generate sustainable income that helps Barnsley CVS expand its support offer, deepen its impact and champion the sector long into the future. This could be anything from supporting bid writing to exploring new income streams to innovative fundraising.

About Working Well Trust
Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.
We are recruiting IPS Employment Advisors to join our IPS service in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. You will be based in NHS mental health treatment teams in Barking, Dagenham and Rainham areas, working 35 hours per week. IPS services at Working Well Trust have been awarded the IPS Grow quality mark and adhere closely to the principles of the IPS model in supporting people in to employment. This role will be working with clients who have mental health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment.
Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to employment as an integral aspect of wellbeing and supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health, either personally or through a close contact.
You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in mental health, and the role it plays in the workplace. What you’ll be doing
You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.
You will work as part of a mental health team (NHS Trust) maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led.
You will spend up to 65% of your week working in the community of Barking and Dagenham to provide localised support to residents of the Borough.
You will also be working to contract targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service.
What you’ll need
Experience in employment support is not essential. We are looking for someone who brings:

Overview of role: Business Development Manager
The team:
You will join our Business Development team, supporting income growth and contract compliance, to enable the scale of ourcharitable work with families and professionals across the UK. The Business Development Manager is line managed by the CEO who carries overall responsibility for income generation. You will also work closely with our full time Business Development Manager, Family Support and Training teams.
Work base and travel:

- Relevant qualification (e.g. CIM, CIPR, or degree in marketing, communications or related field)
- Experience working in or with the charity, social enterprise, or community sector
- Knowledge of or connections to the North Kensington area
- Experience promoting community events, cultural programmes, or grant-funded activities
- Familiarity with online design tools like Adobe Pro, and Canva and project management tools like Asana.
