About the Role

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of programmes. You will:

• Lead and support Programme Managers and delivery teams.
• Ensure projects meet funder requirements, deliver outcomes, and demonstrate impact.
• Oversee monitoring, evaluation, and impact reporting systems.
• Manage budgets and contracts, ensuring compliance with GDPR, safeguarding, and health & safety.
• Build strong partnerships with public sector bodies, funders, and community organisations.
• Deputise for the Chief Executive when required.

You’ll be joining a values-led organisation with nearly 50 staff and over 1,000 member organisations. Together, they champion the VCSE sector, influence local and regional policy, and deliver programmes that support volunteering, health, skills, and community wellbeing.

• Significant experience of managing complex programmes and contracts.

Emmaus UK is looking for a new Regional Communications Officer to directly support Emmaus communities in the North East and Yorkshire.

About the role

Our team of Regional Communications Officers support Emmaus communities and groups to increase their profile and engage supporters. You will work closely with up to four Emmaus charities to identify their communications needs, plan and deliver work to help achieve their goals.

You will have excellent skills and knowledge in communications, public relations and marketing with at least two years’ experience working in a busy and varied communications role. Although not essential, knowledge and understanding of homelessness and the charity sector would also be an advantage.

Within this hybrid role, you can be based at home or in an Emmaus community. Wherever you are located, maintaining ongoing positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders is vitally important. This role will suit someone located in Yorkshire or the North East as regular travel (usually at least one community visit per week) will be required to South Shields, Leeds and Hull.

Community Wealth Building & Social Enterprise Support

The role:
This role will provide vital support to the foundation’s assessment and management of funding applications, grants, and programme development. The person:
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, analytical, and curious, with an interest in one or more of the CCC focus areas. What matters most is a strong interest in the work of charities, voluntary organisations, and community groups, and an ability to understand the challenges they face.

You will be confident managing and interpreting complex information, including financial data and project plans, and able to communicate your findings clearly both in writing and verbally. You will bring strong expertise in finance systems, with the ability to translate technical functionality into solutions that align with organisational goals. You should be a proactive problem-solver, capable of influencing and collaborating effectively across teams, and committed to driving continuous improvement.

- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with at least 5 years of system accounting experience.
- Significant experience with Unit4 ERPx or other ERP finance systems, particularly in a post-implementation context. Knowledge of Avalara and Proactis is beneficial.
- Ability to combine technical system knowledge with financial context to deliver business-focused solutions.
- Highly proficient in Excel and other data handling tools, with strong analytical skills.
- Proven experience managing multiple, complex programs of work in a demanding environment, with the ability to prioritize effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of working across departmental and hierarchical boundaries.
- Experience in driving quality and performance improvement through data-driven metrics and reporting.
- A track record of leading high-performing support teams, encouraging career development, and managing performance.

What you’ll focus on:

- Lead the administration and optimization of Unit4 ERPx, ensuring that finance processes are efficient, compliant, and effective.
- Translate finance and technical requirements into clear, actionable system changes.
- Manage system issues and enhancements, collaborating with Unit4 Support and internal stakeholders to quickly resolve challenges.
- Oversee data integrity, controls, and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop reports and dashboards to drive insight, accountability, and informed decision-making across the organisation.
- Support, coach, and lead the Systems Officers, promoting high performance, learning, and professional growth within the team.
- Build trusted relationships with senior finance colleagues and external suppliers to maximize system capabilities.

The King’s Trust International is looking for a passionate Data Protection Lead to join the team as our in-house expert on a part time basis under a 12-month fixed term contract. (this is a 3 day a week role - 21 hours)

You will lead a data compliance review and work with colleagues to ensure the robustness and suitability of the charity’s information governance framework, policies & procedures, deliver training to empower colleagues in data protection matters, handle any subject access requests, manage any data incidents, breaches or complaints, perform a key role in organisational change and the implementation of new technology solutions, provide hands-on advice and help to embed privacy by design.
