St John's College is excited to announce an opportunity for a Job Coach with Follow on Job Coach responsibility to join our team, delivering transformative educational experiences for students on our Supported Internship (SI) programmes. These programmes follow the DFN Project SEARCH model, a globally recognised framework that supports young people with autism to gain valuable work skills and experience.

About the Role

You'll be working as part of our St John's College team, with the exciting opportunity to shape and deliver our Supported Internship Programme in collaboration with host employer Chartwells (Compass Group) at the University of Sussex site in Falmer, just outside Brighton and Hove. Chartwells is the leading provider of catering and support services to schools, colleges, and universities. Through this partnership you will support students on their journey to independence and employment.

As a Job Coach, you will play a pivotal role in our interns' journey towards paid employment and independent living. You'll have the chance to work closely with our interns, providing on-the-job coaching and implementing improvement strategies tailored to their unique needs and aspirations. 

You will also provide follow-on Job Coach support for graduates of the St John's College supported internship. This includes supporting all graduates with job search, application and interview preparation, and the provision of one-to-one job coaching and employer support to enable them to secure and maintain employment and to maximise their independence, competence and integration in the workplace.

At St. John's, we've been making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people for nearly 140 years. We are now looking for an incredible Residential Support Worker to help us continue making that difference!

As a Residential Support Worker, you will work under the supervision and guidance of the Care Management Team, Senior Residential Support Workers, and Therapy Teams. You will support learners in all residential houses and the community, assisting with social and academic activities.

Our aim is to ensure all learners have equal opportunities to develop their independence and social skills, preparing them for adult life.

What will you be doing?

• Supporting learners with self-care and independence skills such as eating, drinking, washing, bathing, using the toilet, managing incontinence, dressing, mobility, and medication administration.
   
• Ensuring learners' care files are kept up to date and accurate.
   
• At the start of each shift, reviewing communication and log books, and liaising with staff at handover to ensure learners' needs are well documented and addressed.
   
• Establish supportive relationships with learners and encourage the development of stable relationships.
   
• Promote the emotional health and self-esteem of learners and support them through changes in their living situation and personal circumstances.

• Accompanying learners into the community to take part in social and recreational activities such as bowling, cinema trips, and dining out, helping them build confidence and enjoy meaningful experiences beyond the college setting.

What we do:  

We support survivors through personalised, one-to-one help from our amazing team of trained staff, volunteer caseworkers, and counsellors. We also connect people to local services, support networks, and community programmes, depending on what they need.  

Our team helps turn houses into homes by decorating, painting, and finding essential furniture for those moving into council-provided housing.  

We also share our knowledge through training and workshops with other charities, businesses, and organisations working in this field—helping to build a better understanding of trafficking and how to support survivors well.  

To keep our work going, we raise money through events, donations, and sponsorships. We also contribute to national research and working groups so that survivors’ voices are heard and included in future policies and practices.

About the Role:

What You’ll Be Doing:

Reception Duties:

This role is responsible for maintaining front of house, welcoming visitors, clients and guests, answering enquiries over the phone, via email and in person. 

Facilities Duties 

Liaising with Facilities Manager and supporting with facilities duties such as scheduling and supporting with internal and external room bookings, coordinating scheduled works and ensuring access for maintenance and external contractors as required. 

Administrative Duties:  

This person will play a key role in administering certain financial duties and assisting the Head of Finance and Resource with their reporting duties, keeping the organisation running in a smooth and efficient manner. 

Support the Wider Snowdrop Team:  

To work with the team to coordinate excellent service delivery and support for volunteers and service users in line with the Mission, Vision and Values of the Snowdrop Project. This can include participating in team meetings, away days and supporting and promoting internal activities, creating content for internal and external activities as required.

We are currently recruiting for a versatile Health, Safety and Facilities Manager to join our Infrastructure Services team, to cover maternity leave. 

As our Health, Safety and Facilities Manager you will provide efficient facilities management and Health & Safety services to and for Friends of the Earth’s offices, workspaces, staff and volunteers. 

We are looking for someone with experience of a broad range of facilities management across multiple sites and the ability to communicate effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds and with different needs.

Entry level Health and Safety qualification or working towards this is essential along with up-to-date knowledge of current legislation and experience of carrying out assessments. 

Key Skills and Attributes:  

• Practical experience of a broad range of facilities work, including Hard and Soft Facilities matters across multiple sites. 

• Management of third parties’ contractors hired to complete facilities tasks, using method statements, risk assessments and a permit to work scheme. 

• Proven experience of improving supplier value through contract review, market research and contract negotiation 

• Entry level Health and Safety qualification (IOSH Managing Safely Certificate or similar) and working towards NEBOSH qualification, with up-to-date knowledge of current legislation and experience of carrying out Risk Assessments, DSE Assessments, etc. 

• Experience of communicating effectively and building strong relationships with people from a variety of backgrounds and with different needs, both individually and in groups, and working with sometimes challenging clients. 

• Ability to safely perform equipment installation/elementary repair work and manage/assist in the movement of office apparatus.

Special working conditions  

• This role is a key holder for our offices, and the holder must be prepared to be on call in the event of an emergency.

The team:  

Working closely with and managing the Facilities Assistant, you will ensure Friends of the Earth meets the required Health and Safety standards. You will be part of our vital Infrastructure team, sitting within the Finance and Operations Directorate.

Summary of the role:

The Income Generation Support Officer will provide day-to-day administrative departmental support and support to the department Director to ensure the successful delivery of the organisation’s operations in an efficient manner. This role will focus on generating reports, tracking progress, and ensuring all the necessary processes relating to compliance, finance and HR are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

About the Role:

1. Maintain and improve departmental filing systems to achieve maximum efficiency.
2. Prepare purchase orders and document payments according to Muslim Aid’s financial procedure and in conjunction with the Finance team to ensure speedy payment of invoices for internal / external stakeholders.
3. Undertake small-scale project work including researching, analysing and recommending next steps.
4. Provide support to the IGM management team in responding to correspondence, booking meetings, minute-taking, planning and supporting events, organising travel and preparing travel itineraries and relevant tasks as required.
5. Track Managers delivery of action points to ensure timeframes and outcomes are met, escalating to Head or Director of IGM for further action as appropriate.
6. Undertake full inbox and extensive diary management, ensuring an effective use of time and preparation of information in advance. Sort, redirect and action emails and review an effective ‘bring up’ system to brief and prepare the Director Income Generation and Marketing for meetings / events.

Guts UK is the only charity that covers the digestive system from top to tail, including the

gut, the liver and the pancreas. The charity focuses particularly on the conditions that have no other specific charity or voice - conditions that are underserved, such as pancreatitis, diverticular disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), childhood gut and liver disease, and digestive cancers. With their mission being to improve the lives of the millions of people affected by digestive conditions, they are looking for their first Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager to help them reach that goal.

The Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager is responsible for developing and implementing plans to maximise income from corporate partners and high net worth individuals with the propensity to donate significant sums. There is huge scope to develop both income streams at Guts UK, as this is the first dedicated position covering these income streams.

With some fantastic corporate partnerships in place already, there is great potential to build on the existing foundations and leverage those corporate partnerships to secure more ranging from transactional right up to transformational.
