We welcome applications from members of diverse communities or backgrounds, including young people, and those who bring lived experience or knowledge of activities undertaken in the programmes we fund. You would be joining the Trust at an exciting time as we embark on our next five-year strategic plan.
You don’t need to have been a Trustee before, hold specific qualifications, or have experience working in the charitable sector. You will be passionate about supporting the local community and understand the issues that affect them. We are especially keen to hear from people who can guide the Trust in setting our environmental objectives or those who provide a voice for underrepresented groups and are passionate about tackling inequality.
This is a voluntary position, and you would be expected to attend around 12 two-hour board or committee meetings per year with reading and preparation in advance.
We are committed to working flexibly and we value the time given by our volunteer trustees. As much as possible we will try to accommodate work and family life when arranging the times of our meetings. The appointment runs until 31st May 2028.
If you would like an informal chat please pop along to our Community Hub on Wednesday 23rd or 30th July. We will be there between 10am and 4pm.
Or to apply, send an email including your address and outlining why you are interested and what you would bring to the role.
Closing date for applications: Sunday 10 August 2025. Interviews will take place on Monday 1st September
