Job Purpose
We’re looking for a talented and motivated Communications and Engagement Officer who can effectively convey the life-changing impact of our work, motivate our community to volunteer, donate and fundraise to support our work, and ensure that the information and educational resources we provide reach those who need them most.
Key Responsibilities
Communications:
· Act as the first point of contact for IPWSO’s public email address and social media channels and ensure timely and appropriate replies.
· Manage IPWSO’s social media channels, creating original and engaging content and posts, and actively engaging with our audiences.
· Manage Google Ad Grant campaigns with an emphasis on growing our supporter base and increasing individual giving.
· Keep up to date with emerging trends in digital communications and social media and recommend potential new channels for fundraising and audience engagement.
· Support the development of videos for IPWSO, in cooperation with IPWSO’s Project Manager and other colleagues. The type of work to be undertaken includes providing support for content development, speaker recruitment, filming and editing, as well as helping source external agencies as needed.
· Maintain and develop the IPWSO website ensuring its security and that it functions both as an effective supporter acquisition tool and a means by which people can easily access information about PWS.
· Produce compelling newsletters and an Annual Report.
· Support the review and update of IPWSO’s Communications Strategy in line with its Strategic Plan.
· Uphold and showcase the IPWSO mission and brand.
· Help oversee the production and design of a range of educational resources for families and professionals.
· Oversee copywriting and proofreading within IPWSO.
· Support IPWSO’s members and liaise with its stakeholders internationally in support of our shared goals.
Engagement:
· Provide support for online events programmes, in cooperation with IPWSO’s Project Manager and the Online Events Committee. The type of support to be provided includes hosting Zoom sessions, supporting speakers, follow up administration including evaluations.
· Support IPWSO’s Famcare Board by facilitating their online meetings and assisting with their online events.
· Work with the Project and Operations Manager to provide membership support, liaising with IPWSO’s member organisations as needed.
· Proactively engage with member associations to promote IPWSO and also to understand their needs and how IPWSO can be of help.
· Work with the Project and Operations Manager on our Educational Outreach programmes. Work will include liaising with event organisers with regards to IPWSO’s booths at different conferences, ensuring follow up as needed (including help with preparation of PowerPoint slides), engagement follow up including data entry to update our database (Donorfy).

This is a full-time role in a well-established charity based in Twickenham. This role would suit someone who wants to have the opportunity to work flexibly and build their career in the Charity sector with experience of working in social care.
Richmond Carers Centre has the mission to help unpaid adult carers to live a full, active and meaningful life by providing them with advice, information, activities, breaks and emotional support either face to face, by phone or by email to enable them to live well.
As a Support Worker, you will be part of a small, dedicated team and take a lead on providing emotional support to adult carers and a commitment to enhancing their health and wellbeing. Much of your work will involve actively listening to carers, often via the phone support line, providing information, advice and support.
As part of the Adult Carers Support Team, you will also be involved in organising breaks for carers, outreach activities and leisure events, as well as group work to help enhance carers’ health and wellbeing. Part of the role will also aim to improve the identification, recognition and understanding of the needs of adult carers, raise the profile of adult carers and ensure adult carers needs are met. You will also be expected to work with our volunteers and to use appropriate monitoring and evaluation reports to show our funders what we have achieved.
You will be someone:

Main Duties include:
- To provide a regular telephone support-line, face-to-face and email support, offering appropriate, generic advice
- To offer a range of service delivery options and be involved in providing those options e.g., breaks, group work, leisure activities or other outreach activities
- To encourage and assist carers and those they care for to access Care Needs Assessments and Carers Assessments and to take up services that will enhance their lives
- To complete individual grant applications with carers for respite or if they are experiencing financial hardship due to the cost-of-living crisis
- To work where appropriate with other service providers/agencies to promote the carer agenda or jointly deliver carer support issues
- To be proactive in the registration of carers living or caring for someone within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames
- To keep accurate records of group and individual carer engagement for monitoring and evaluation purposes
- To participate in key events organised by Richmond Carers Centre and other relevant partners to promote services to a wider public

Job Purpose
This role is critical for delivering activities with our prestigious corporate supporters while simultaneously building an impactful alumni community. The postholder will join Ada during an exciting phase of growth and will be responsible for both stakeholder management, volunteering and events and ensuring former students and apprentices are supported in their career progression and engagement through the #alwaysAda alumni programme. Established in 1994, our income is generated by ongoing support of the local community, donations, legacies, fundraising and through our retail shops.

The Role
To provide high-level, proactive, and confidential administrative and executive support to the Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees. This role ensures the efficient coordination of meetings, communications and strategic initiatives by managing schedules, preparing documentation and facilitating effective information flow. The EA acts as a key point of contact between internal and external stakeholders, supporting the governance and operational effectiveness of the Charity at the highest levels.
You will be the lead administrator for governance, ensuring all statutory and regulatory obligations are met, whilst also supporting the effective running of executive meetings, day-to-day leadership functions and education placements.
Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to – see Job Description for further information)
- Provide PA support to the Chair, Deputy CEO, Company Secretary and SLT, including diary management, correspondence, travel, and meeting coordination
- Provide efficient and professional support to the Board of Trustees and delegated committees, including scheduling, producing annual meeting calendars, preparing agendas, circulating papers, taking accurate minutes and following up on actions
- Provide administrative and logistical support for Doctors and Nursing Student placements
- Develop and maintain efficient systems and processes for executive administration
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role ideally in a charity
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Professional and confident interpersonal manner
- Ability to draft high-quality correspondence and reports
- Experience in formal minute-taking and senior board level
