Volunteers would be expected to attend regular network training evenings, on line training and specific face to face training for the role. Once trained for the role would be expected to assist at First Aid, PR and fundraising events.

If you are successful you will need to undertake induction & training for role at these dates:
Welcome Event (Induction) - Saturday 11th October to attend a selection event in Aylesbury.
Training for role - Following the selection event, successful candidates will need to attend a Welcome event on Saturday 1st November in Aylesbury. and On line training plus two day face to face classroom training over a weekend.

You will be required to attend regular training nights at the University of Bristol Student's Union

Students will be welcomed into the society at the regular unit meeting nights and any new volunteers will be mentored by the committee and fellow society members. Inductions will take place at the same time and support will be provided by the local network leadership team alongside the committee.

There are multiple CFA courses running in the county that are accessible to the students. Additional courses may be run if we recruit enough members. We have trainers and the capacity to run the course, as well as transport available if required to a St John building.

Volunteers would be expected to commit 80 hours of volunteering a year (including Community First Aid, Community Engagement, and Community Fundraising). Once your screening for role has been completed, you will be invited to attend your local St John Ambulance Network for a Welcome and Induction.

Training for this role include a two-day in-person course, as well as some online learning. Your local Network will support you through the training process.

There is an expectation to regularly attend training meetings at one of our Network Units. Locations, days and times will be discussed at interview stage.

Candidates will be invited to attend an informal interview at Wharf Street in Wolverhampton where they will have the opportunity to learn more about the role as well as opportunities within St John Ambulance. If successful you will also required to complete relevant role training which includes both in person practical (2 days) and online eLearning.

There will be quarterly welcome events taking place at Wharf Street Wolverhampton where the successful candidates will meet the leaders for the Wolverhampton Networks. During the induction they will learn more about the organisation, how to access resources and select their preferred network to join - this will be predominantly based on the meeting night of the network. Winter Bucket Collections Volunteer - Norfolk

Do you want to raise some money for Shelter, while having fun along the way?

This role involves supporting our Community Fundraising teams. You’d be joining bucket collection events in the community to help us raise money. This is a highly flexible role. We’ll let you know about upcoming opportunities, and you can choose which you’d like to do.

We are looking for a volunteer who ideally has a qualification and a Paediatric First Aid training certificate to support with facilitating activities within our Tower Hamlets refuge whilst mums attend activities, meetings or take time for self-care! Your support will make a massive difference and enable mums the time to develop their skills and explore their interests.

Youth Leaders work directly with young people in St John Ambulance Badger Setts and Cadet Units.
