Responsibilities and Person Specification:
The Stories and Participation Officer is a fundamental cross-organisational role. Working directly with older people in financial hardship, the role will source, capture and collaborate to share stories, advice and insights from older people, whilst maintaining the highest level of stewardship and safeguarding for this group and supporting organisation wide participation activity.
Reporting into the Participation Manager, you will work champion and deliver meaningful involvement and authentic storytelling to ensure that the experiences of older people are at the centre of Independent Age’s work. You will ensure that participation processes maintain and develop our storytelling expertise and follow good-practice in the sector. The role will recruit and induct older people on a low income to our Lived Experience Network, alert them to opportunities to get involved in shaping and informing Independent Age’s work, facilitate two-way engagement, and work with willing members of the network to share their lived experience and insights, including sharing their story on public and private platforms.
You will need exceptional organisational skills and the ability to proactively drive lived experience work and effective storytelling. Strong verbal and interpersonal skills are essential, along with knowledge of best practice in supporting and co-ordinating lived experience participation including online and offline events, groups and meetings to create listening spaces.

The role will involve regular travel across England, Scotland and Wales to raise the organisation’s profile and engage with members, partners and key stakeholders.
There is flexibility on your location given the requirement to travel and that your office will be home-based. You will need to travel to in-person quarterly team meetings (usually in London or the north of England) and to Board meetings which alternate between online and London.
It is expected that travel will be by public transport and easy access to the rail network is therefore required to ensure journeys can be made sustainably.
This is a full-time position, 37 hours per week. We use a flexi-time system with core hours 10am-3pm, and are committed to being a flexible, supportive and understanding employer. This is a permanent position with a probationary period of three months.

Overall purpose of role
As WeProtect Global Alliance Fundraising and Grants Manager,you will:
- Lead the day-to-day management of a multi-donor grant portfolio (restricted and unrestricted) to ensure donor obligations are met in full and on time.
- Optimise and maintain grants management systems (calendars, trackers, templates, CRM, workflows) proportionate to a small organisation operating at global scale.
- Produce and co-ordinate high-quality donor reporting and contribute to renewal and proposal development, working closely with the Head of Development and collaborating with the Deputy Head of Operations and Finance, as well as colleagues in the Strategy and Members teams.
- Ensure and strengthen donor compliance, due diligence, and data assurance across the grant lifecycle in line with donor requirements, relevant regulations (including UK and EU), and best practice standards (including GDPR).
- Support the Head of Development and Deputy Head of Operations and Finance with grant budgets, forecasts and pipeline, supporting decision-making by the Executive Team and Board.

Portfolio ownership & planning
- Maintain a live grants calendar covering deliverables, reports, payments, audits and evaluations; ensure all internal and donor deadlines are met.

Reporting & stewardship

The Woodland Trust is looking for a Site Manager - North to join us. This role will be responsible for approximately 30 Woodland Trust Sites in the Eastern part of North Yorkshire. This includes Scar and Castlebeck, a large SSSI woodland in the heart of the North York Moors and Robson Spring- a Plantation Ancient Woodland Site close to Helmsley, and a well distributed portfolio of Woodland Trust sites across the rest of the county.
The Role:
- Lead the sustainable management of a diverse portfolio of high-profile woodland sites, including ancient woodland, designated habitats, veteran trees and secondary woodland, ensuring compliance with the UK Woodland Assurance Standard.
- Develop, implement and review long-term woodland management plans, using woodland condition assessments and monitoring data to drive conservation and operational outcomes.
- Plan, procure and manage woodland works programmes, including preparing specifications, tendering contracts and monitoring contractor performance on site.
- Create safe, welcoming woodland environments by carrying out tree safety inspections, risk assessments and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

About the role
As our Digital Product Manager (Fundraising), you’ll help us create better digital experiences for our supporters. You’ll make it easier for people to donate, fundraise and connect with Alzheimer’s Society.
You’ll join our Digital and Ecommerce team within our Income and Engagement directorate. Working with colleagues across Fundraising, Digital, Data and Technology, you’ll use insight, data and product expertise to understand what our supporters need and turn those insights into improvements.

What you’ll do
You’ll help our digital fundraising products grow and improve. You’ll use user insight, data and product expertise to create experiences that work for our supporters.
You’ll ask questions, explore possibilities and help us understand how we can do things better.
You’ll:
- Manage and improve our digital fundraising products, including donation journeys, event registration platforms and third-party fundraising tools.
- Create and evolve product roadmaps, helping teams understand what we’re improving and why.
- Use analytics, user feedback and testing to improve supporter journeys and increase engagement.
- Work with colleagues, technical teams and external suppliers to deliver improvements.
- Build strong relationships across the organisation and bring teams together around shared goals.
- Champion accessible and user-friendly digital experiences.
- Support agile ways of working through collaboration, learning and continuous improvement.
- Share knowledge and help colleagues feel confident using digital products and tools.

About you
We’re looking for someone who is curious, collaborative and motivated by creating digital experiences that make a difference.
Maybe you’ve followed a traditional product management career path. Or perhaps you’ve built your experience through digital delivery, ecommerce, website management or improving online experiences. Either way, we’re interested in the skills and experience you can bring.
Do you enjoy bringing people together around a shared goal? Are you someone who uses insight and evidence to understand problems and find solutions?
You’ll bring experience of:
- Managing digital products or websites, creating and evolving roadmaps and delivering continuous improvement.
- Managing fundraising products and tools such as Fundraise Up, Enthuse, GoDonate, Funraisin, JustGiving or similar digital platforms.
- Building trusted relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and teams across a complex organisation.
- Working in agile environments, using approaches such as Scrum, iterative delivery and continuous learning.
- Using analytics, including Google Analytics 4, to understand user behaviour and improve supporter journeys.
You’ll communicate clearly with different audiences. You’ll enjoy solving problems, sharing ideas and working with others to create positive change.
