Role Overview:
The Networking and Events Manager will be responsible for sourcing, developing, and maintaining relationships with a variety of strategic partners within the UK, including university societies, community groups, children’s afterschool clubs such as scouts/brownie, businesses, and other UK organisations that align with our mission and values. They’ll manage a team of events professionals, leading on our events, volunteer and relationships strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to build and nurture relationships, identify opportunities, and support the long-term sustainability.
Essential candidate will:

The Role
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Fundraising Events Officer to join our small but high-performing fundraising team. This varied and rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by delivering and developing a wide range of fundraising events.
You will lead our programme of established events while also applying your creativity and strategic thinking to design and deliver new high-value fundraising opportunities that support and align with our mission.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the planning, promotion, and execution of a calendar of established fundraising events including golf days, annual Christmas concert and exclusive black tie events.
· Identify opportunities to innovate and develop new events with a focus on supporter engagement and income growth.
· Collaborate with the wider fundraising team to deliver integrated campaigns and maximise event impact.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers, and suppliers.
· Monitor event performance and produce post-event analysis to support future planning.
· Manage event budgets and ensure all events are delivered on time and within financial targets.
· Represent Scannappeal at events and within the community as a passionate advocate for our cause.
Person Specification
You will be an energetic and proactive fundraiser with a track record of managing multiple projects and delivering high-quality supporter experiences. You are highly organised, creative, and comfortable working both independently and within a small team.

· Proven experience in fundraising event management or a similar project-based role
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build long-lasting stakeholder relationships

Join Dementia UK as a Challenge Events Manager and take the lead in delivering our DIY and open challenge events portfolio through impactful acquisition campaigns and outstanding supporter experiences.
As part of the Mass Participation team, you’ll be responsible for developing the overall strategy for both the DIY and open challenge events programmes. A key part of the role is identifying and maximising opportunities for growth, ensuring the programme remains innovative and responsive to market trends. Reporting to: Head of Communications & Marketing (HCM)
We are inviting applications for an Events Manager to join Garden Court Chambers. This is a full time permanent role.
Purpose of the role
Garden Court Chambers hosts a range of events including roundtables, webinars, hybrid, and in-person panel discussions. We bring together legal professionals, policy specialists, NGOs, community groups, and activists for legal training, thought-leadership and networking.
At least three times a week, we host 40-50 people for in-person events, 15-20 for roundtables, and several hundred for webinars. We also host parties throughout the year for around 150+ guests.
In this role, you will plan deliver and host each event; support the Head of Communications and Marketing with event programming; and work with barrister colleagues who convene each event to agree all event specifications.
Working as part of the friendly and professional Communications and Marketing team, the events you produce will amplify the vital work our barristers undertake to fight injustice, defend human rights, and uphold the rule of law.
About you
- Committed to delivering consistently excellent customer service - great front of house and highly organised and methodical behind the scenes.
- Experienced in dealing with the day-to-day challenges of high-volume event planning, delivery, and hosting.
- Confident at managing technology required for large webinars and hybrid events.

Core duties
- Event planning and delivery: book rooms and catering; liaise with speakers and diarise; coordinate webinar access for guests and speakers; collate and format PowerPoints; manage event recording and webinar platform (Zoom); process bookings and manage invitations; and coordinate with facilities, security, and reception.
- Event hosting duties (supported by Events Assistant): greet guests and welcome speakers; manage cloak rooms, event signage, and catering; set up and clear rooms; and trouble shoot and support the needs of guests and speakers.
- Support the Head of Communications and Marketing with event programming.
- Work pro-actively with members of Chambers (barristers) to ensure that requirements for their events are clearly recorded, and that events are delivered to specification.
- Support the Communications and Marketing Manager with digital communications to promote events.
- Support the Head of Communications and Marketing with event budgeting.
- Create and manage invitation lists using CRM software and support the production and delivery of well-targeted and high-quality email marketing.
- Assist with other administrative tasks for the marketing team.
- Line manage junior members of the team, as required.
- Feed into reports to measure the reach and impact of Garden Court marketing activities.
Skills and experience
- Proven experience in planning, delivering, and hosting in person, hybrid, and online events (ideally all three).
- Good working knowledge of Zoom (or similar), PowerPoint, Excel (all essential), and Campaign Monitor / MailChimp (desirable).
- Experience of working with CRM systems and email marketing tools (desirable)
- Experience of working in fast-paced environments and managing competing priorities.
- Experience of collaborating with and hosting high-value clients and senior professionals.

The post holder will work with the programme team to manage a calendar of online and in-person events and oversee the event process from beginning to end. The post holder will manage ticketing platforms, oversee event budgets and logistics and create event briefings to ensure alignment between external speakers and team members. This will include overseeing the set-up of IT and technology to ensure smooth event delivery and acting as a main contact point for external event partners. After events, the post holder will manage communications with external partners and audiences, log their participation in the CRM system and produce timely reports on event outcomes for the programme team contributing to evaluation and learning cycles.
The post holder will also work with the Director and programme team to deliver the charity’s marketing and communications plan. The Role
Identify, develop, plan and execute a calendar of virtual and physical community fundraising and engagement events and activities, for exmaple, a local Christmas Market, identifying third-party fundraising initiatives and virtual challenges, or leading on the identification and/or development of national events.
Oversee logistics, which may include venue booking, supplier sourcing/coordination, risk assessments and event-day management. Ensuring all events and activities comply with health and safety regulations, risk management policies and GDPR guidelines.
Build your virtual events community through effective use of social platforms/activities, which your Marcoms colleagues will support you to identify and deliver.
Develop and implement stewardship plans to encourage repeat participation and wider engagement in the charity.
Support participants in their fundraising efforts, providing fundraising specific guidance and resource.
Work with the Marcoms team to develop and deliver promotional materials, social media campaigns, and PR opportunities.
Manage events and budgets, ensuring cost-effective planning and maximum ROI.
You will manage an administrator and be supported by a strong team of fundraisers, a marketing department set up to support the development of community activity.
The Candidate
Experience in event management, ideally within the charity or community sector.
Strong fundraising knowledge and experience in income generating events and techniques both physical and through digital channels.
Budget management experience and ability to work within financial targets.

Join Dementia UK as a Challenge Events Manager and take the lead on our third party challenge events programme, delivering a portfolio of inspiring events through impactful acquisition campaigns and exceptional supporter experiences.
Working closely with the Head of Mass Participation, you’ll help shape the strategy for the third party events programme, identifying opportunities to drive growth and continuously improving how we work.
