VCKC enables people to develop skills, knowledge, confidence, and positive relationships through rewarding volunteering. We enable people to improve and maintain their health, find paid work where that is one of their aims, and increase their independence. 

VCKC helps local community organisations to recruit and manage volunteers to provide their vital services, while also ensuring placements are accessible, inclusive and safe, and that volunteers have a good quality experience that responds to their volunteering goals. 

Main Purpose of Job

We are seeking a part-time Communications and Impact Officer to help us promote volunteering opportunities and communicate the impact of our work across Kensington & Chelsea.

This role will lead on impact communications, storytelling, and digital content, ensuring that funders, partners, and the public clearly understand the difference volunteering makes in our community.

You will create engaging content across multiple channels, including social media, VCKC’s website, impact reports, case studies, and funding communications. You will also support colleagues in communicating the impact of their programmes and promoting them effectively by turning data and evidence into compelling narratives, case studies, and marketing materials.

Key duties

• Create engaging communications and digital content to promote volunteering opportunities

• Produce impact reports, case studies, funder updates, and website content

• Manage and grow engagement across social media and VCKC’s website

• Translate data and evaluation insights into clear, accessible communications

• Maintain consistent branding, messaging, and storytelling across the organisation

• Support colleagues with impact narratives for funding bids and external communications

• Monitor communications performance and maintain simple systems for communications data and reporting

Help tackle loneliness among older people in care homes

Thousands of older people living in care homes receive few or no visitors. Friends for Life Bedford exists to change that.

Through our befriending and group activities, we bring companionship, connection and meaningful relationships to care home residents across Bedfordshire.

We are now looking for a Volunteer Co-ordinator to help more recruit, train and support the volunteers who make our work possible.

About Friends for Life Bedfordshire

We are a Bedford-based charity working to address the social isolation of older residents in Bedfordshire’s care homes.

Founded in 2007, we have grown from a small local initiative to a registered charity with c90 volunteers supporting more than 30 care homes across Bedford Borough. In the last year, over 1,100 care home residents received our services.

The Role

You will play a key operational role in ensuring our volunteer-led services run smoothly, safely and effectively.

Working closely with the Volunteer Lead, you will help recruit, train, support and retain volunteers, ensuring they feel confident, valued and equipped to deliver both befriending and activity-based services.

In addition, you will co-ordinate and manage our programme of group activities, working with care homes and activity volunteers to make sure residents experience high‑quality, meaningful sessions every week.

This is an ideal role for someone who is organised, people-focused and motivated by social impact.

Key Responsibilities

Volunteer Recruitment, Induction & Training

• Act as the first point of contact for volunteer enquiries
• Meet prospective volunteers to explain the charity’s work and assess suitability
• Deliver volunteer induction training at “Welcome Day” sessions
• Support refresher and additional training needs and maintain up‑to‑date volunteer resources

Volunteer Support & Retention

• Provide day‑to‑day support to volunteers, responding to queries and safeguarding concerns
• Help organise volunteer social events to build community and connection
• Support follow-up actions from volunteer meetings
• Conduct exit interviews for volunteers leaving the service

Group Activity Programme Co‑ordination

• Build and maintain a diverse pool of activity volunteers, from musicians to hobby practitioners
• Liaise with care homes to match activity volunteers to resident needs
• Schedule group activities and accompany volunteers on first visits
• Check in with new volunteers after one month and regularly with longer-standing volunteers

• Track activity participation and outcomes, gathering feedback from residents, volunteers and care home staff
• Capture stories and case studies (with consent) to showcase the impact

About You

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, organised and great with people. You will likely bring:

• Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Confidence working independently within a small, supportive team
• Experience working with volunteers (ideally in a charity, health or social care setting)
• An understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
• Good IT skills and a commitment to accurate record‑keeping

Harris Hill is working with a health based charity located in Epsom, to assist in the search for a Fundraising Officer for a brand new role.

This role will start life as a temporary position, working full time (37.5hpw), with 2-3 days a week in the office. However, the client is ultimately seeking a permanent fill for this role, so ideally we would like someone who would be interested in this transition over to work for them directly.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and empathetic Mental Health & Wellbeing Project Worker to contribute to the development and delivery of flexible support services which address the psychological and emotional needs of children, young people and families living with the effects of domestic abuse, in North Tyneside and Northumberland. You will help to develop, organise and facilitate key aspects of the service as requested by the Team Coordinator such one-to-one support interventions, group work, and youth participation opportunities in a variety of settings including in-house, schools and community venues. Post is to be predominantly based in Northumberland.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver flexible one to one support sessions, using a range of interventions to assess and positively contribute to the individual wellbeing needs of children and young people impacted by domestic abuse.
• Support service users, particularly within the 11-16 age group to develop personal and life skills, promoting self-esteem and independence, and raising awareness of other support services and opportunities available to them and their families.
• Contribute to the planning and delivery of group work, activities and events, including the continued development of service user participation
• Work in partnership with statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure coordinated care and refer service users to additional sources of help and protection as needed.
• Adhere to safeguarding, confidentiality, and equal opportunities policies while maintaining accurate and confidential records, reporting appropriately, and complying with organisational guidelines.
• Participate in training, supervision, and team activities, contributing flexibly to service development and supporting broader organisational goals as required by management.

About You

• Holds qualifications and relevant experience in social care, childcare, youth work, or a therapeutic field
• Experience working directly with children and young people with an excellent understanding of common issues relating to child development, mental health and wellbeing
• Experienced in one-to-one casework, group facilitation, youth programmes, and multi-agency working, with a proven ability to assess needs and connect individuals to appropriate support services.
• Effective communicator with the ability to engage sensitively and non-judgementally with service users, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to empowering individuals.

Join Us as our Operations Coordinator 

BeSpace is a small but growing Christian charity with a big vision to see a future where every child has space to develop personal tools to pray, reflect and grow spiritually throughout their lives, helping churches, schools and communities to flourish.

We have seen incredible impact through developing prayer and reflections spaces in schools across Oxfordshire. Since 2010, over 65,000 children have experienced prayer and reflection spaces led by local churches, trained and resourced by us. About the Role

We are looking for an Operations Coordinator to cover adoption leave, likely for one year. This is a vital role in keeping BeSpace running smoothly and enabling our small but growing team to thrive. You will also, where needed, play a hands-on role in supporting churches and schools in our work. 

In this role, you will:

• Take responsibility for key operational processes including recruitment, HR, and volunteer management systems — not only maintaining them effectively but actively seeking ways to innovate and strengthen them, with guidance and support from senior leaders. 
• Manage finance administration, including donations, CRM (Beacon), and Gift Aid claims.
• Project manage BeSpace events and provide admin support to the team.
• Develop and maintain systems for impact tracking, GDPR compliance, and volunteer management.
• Provide communications and social media support.
• Where needed, support on-the-ground delivery of retreats and prayer and reflection spaces in schools.
• This role would suit someone with strong organisational and administrative skills, a passion for children’s spiritual development, and a willingness to get stuck into a wide variety of tasks.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Exceptionally organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Confident using IT systems and willing to learn how to use a CRM (Beacon).
• Able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Flexible, adaptable, and willing to work occasional evenings/weekends.

Experience in HR, finance, events, or charity administration would be an advantage, but we’re open to applicants with transferable skills.

Role Details

• Position: Operations Coordinator
• Location: Hybrid, travel required for in person team days 3 - 6 times a year and approximately 1 day a week into Oxford.
• Hours of work: PT 4 days a week. (28 hours) Flexible for the right candidate.

Our coordinators plan, arrange and deliver a programme of activities shaped around the needs of the young people, making the most of local opportunities, from heritage sites and outdoor adventures, to sports, arts and crafts, cooking, and team challenges. These sessions help children build friendships, grow in confidence, and express themselves in a fun, supportive space.

1 x CYP Coordinator- Short Breaks Family Days- 30 hours- Kent wide

Family days bring families together to create special memories and enjoy time with others who share similar experiences. The coordinator develops and facilitates activity days which involve the whole family and provide opportunities to build friendships and connections with others. Activities take place at outdoor centres, local heritage sites and museums, as well as organised beach days and community centre-based workshops and activities.

Applicants should have relevant experience of working or volunteering with children and young people in education, health or social care, and have exceptional organisation and communication skills. 

The roles are 30 hours per week, working Wednesday to Saturday. In school holiday periods, more activities take place on weekdays (instead of Saturdays), so flexibility is needed.

The Regional Fundraiser is responsible for delivering sustainable net income through a variety of income streams across a hospice catchment area in line with fundraising strategy.

The post holder delivers locally tailored activity, building and maintaining strong relationships with supporters, community groups, businesses and volunteers to grow income and engagement.

Community Fundraising Lead

Full-Time | £28,000 – £33,000 | Hybrid (Southampton HQ + Home) | Charity: Friends of PICU

At Friends of PICU, we’re dedicated to supporting the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at University Hospital Southampton, funding lifesaving equipment, providing family support, and enhancing care for critically ill and injured children. We’re looking for a Community Fundraising Lead to grow our community and events fundraising activities, inspire supporters, and make a lasting impact for families when they need it most.

The Role

As our Community Fundraising Lead, you’ll be the driving force behind our community and event fundraising. You’ll build relationships with existing and new supporters, community groups, and corporate partners developing opportunities to raise income and awareness for Friends of PICU.

Working closely with our Operations Manager, you’ll deliver an annual calendar of exciting fundraising events, from local community challenges to large-scale campaigns, ensuring each activity connects people to our mission and delivers excellent supporter experiences.

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) with hybrid working – based partly at our charity office at University Hospital Southampton and partly from home. Some evening and weekend work, plus travel across Hampshire and neighbouring counties, will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Grow community fundraising by engaging with fundraisers, schools, faith groups, clubs, and small businesses.
• Build and nurture relationships, delivering exceptional supporter care and stewardship.
• Lead event fundraising – plan, deliver, and evaluate an annual calendar of fundraising events.
• Create inspiring fundraising materials and digital content.
• Promote events through social media and the website with engaging storytelling.
• Support corporate engagement and develop partnerships.
• Manage data, CRM records, and ensure accurate banking and reporting.
• Meet fundraising targets and contribute to budgets and reports.
• Represent Friends of PICU at community events and presentations.
• Support grant applications with evidence and stories from fundraising activities.
• Collaborate across the team, supporting operations, volunteers, and event logistics.

The Administrative Coordinator will provide coordinating and administrative support across the Network, helping ensure smooth systems, high-quality financial administrative and shared working practices across a dispersed team. 

You will be a highly organised and dependable administrator, with experience supporting finance and digital systems, and a clear commitment to social justice and relational ways of working. 

Key tasks include:

• Coordinating meetings, events and trustee processes 

• Providing hands-on finance administration, including bookkeeping using Xero 

• Supporting digital systems, CRM and data stewardship 

• Maintaining accurate records and shared documentation 

• Contributing to consistent, relational and accountable ways of working across the Network 

This role involves working from home with some travel.

About the role:

The prospect research and pipeline management role will support high value fundraising across the Corporate, Trust and Community or Regional fundraising teams through prospect research, network mapping, lead qualification, and due diligence checks. This role will also manage the pipeline management process on our CRM ensuring the teams have access to dashboards tracking their donors across the stages of solicitation and be able to provide insight reports into how well we are moving prospects through the pipelines. This role will also be required to develop processes and ensure we are working within data protection and fundraising regulations and that our due diligence is tracked and auditable.

About you:

• Educated to degree level or with equivalent relevant work experience
• Familiarity with prospect research tools and the ability to identify and recommend the best tools to support our work using the budget as cost effectively as possible.
• Thorough working knowledge of GDPR as it relates to major donor fundraising and the Fundraising codes to practise.
• Experience of undertaking due diligence checks on prospective donors and of setting up and implementing policies and processes to ensure and demonstrate adherence to regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build supportive and collaborative relationships with colleagues both across fundraising and the organisation including the ability to chair meetings and present data and insight.
• Experience of working on a variety of requests and ability to manage and prioritise workload whilst being responsive

Essential Criteria
• Previous experience of driving forward process improvements, implementing new processes or systems, and working with colleagues to embed such change.
• Skilled at using a relationship management database (or CRM) to track prospects through the solicitation process, produce dashboards and reports and glean insight from data.
• Experience of delivering prospect research activities to identify and qualify leads for fundraising teams across corporate, trust and major donor income streams.
• Working knowledge of high value income streams and what will support fundraisers in achieving income growth.
• Experience of providing relevant high quality and accurate research profiles with developed research skills and attention to detail
• Proven experience in identifying new high-value funding prospects from the database and other sources including major donors, corporate partners, and trusts.
• Proven ability to be proactive in network mapping securing new prospects or additional opportunities from existing networks e.g. see that a major donor is also a trustee of a grant giving trust or the CEO of a potential corporate partner.
