We are looking for a Special Events Officer to join our team. You will help plan, deliver, and evaluate events that bring people together, inspire action, and create lasting impact. We are looking for a dynamic Events Fundraising Officer to help recruit and support our fundraisers, assist with the organisation of events and help us to develop this significant income stream.

Working alongside the Challenge Events Manager, the Events Fundraising Officer is instrumental in every step of delivering well-managed, fun and safe events for our corporate partners and event participants, as well as ensuring the fundraising success of each event.

Excellent communication and people skills will be essential as you will play a key role in building up relationships with the clients, the participants and their supporters. Harris Hill is working with an education based organisation, supporting their search for an interim Events Manager, working remotely, 4 days per week, for 6 months. 

The pro rota salary would be £36-40k, on the basis that you work 4dpw, but could spread the 4 across 5. You would however be responsible for attending the various events, with one in June and another in October.

We are looking for a seasoned Events Manager, who is adept at the whole life cycle of events, with a emphasis on planning, and the marketing of the events themselves, so someone with both events and marketing experience is essential.

General

We’re looking for an experienced Programme Officer to join our team on a maternity cover contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in the delivery of our In2STEM Programme during a busy and high impact period. You’ll benefit from a comprehensive handover, a supportive team environment, and the chance to make a real contribution from day one.

The Programme Officer will support the delivery of the In2STEM Programme including recruitment, planning, delivery, participant and volunteer management, and evaluation.

You will be responsible for recruitment, managing a caseload of students and volunteers (work experience hosts), and managing relationships with supporters and funders. You will also support the planning, delivery and evaluation of programme activities including training and inductions, placements, online workshops, competitions and celebration events.

In2scienceUK is a remote based organisation, that requires occasional travel across the UK for recruitment, events, internal & external meetings and staff co-working days.

Duties and responsibilities:

Programme Delivery

• Managing a caseload of students and volunteers (work experience hosts) from application stage to successful completion of the programme, including recruitment, matching, onboarding, troubleshooting throughout the programme and evaluation.

• Creating and developing engaging communication materials about the programme including video presentations, posters/flyers, case studies and website text, newsletters and images. 

• Monitoring student and volunteer (work experience host) applications to ensure targets and milestones are met. 

• Maintaining up to date records via the programme database and ensuring data protection.

Purpose of this commission

We are seeking experienced, values-led development support to build events participation and supporter conversion over six months through a realistic events programme, including Kiltwalk participation.

Scope and responsibilities

• Register the Trust for relevant Kiltwalk events, where registration is required, and maintain an events tracker.

• Develop a corporate recruitment approach, including targets, outreach templates and follow-ups.

• Produce a digital-first Fundraising Pack and supporter journey, including welcome, tips, story prompts, assets list, stewardship and a thank you pathway.

• Identify additional suitable events and recommend a realistic programme.

KPIs

• Trust registered with agreed Kiltwalk events in the period.

• For each Kiltwalk event, encourage corporate participation with up to 10 walkers per event, tracked through an outreach and sign-up funnel.

• Events programme proposal completed, including at least three additional opportunities assessed and recommended.

• Fundraising Pack completed and ready to deploy.

This investment will enable AHF, in partnership with DCMS and Historic England, to provide grants to hundreds of communities across England, helping them bring neglected historic buildings back into use.

The postholders will be responsible for assessing and managing a caseload of projects within a defined area of England, joining an existing team of Grants Officers. They will advise and guide projects through each stage of the project lifecycle, from early viability through to capital works. They will ensure that grants, where offered, are allocated and monitored in accordance with programme criteria and priorities and will work closely with external partners to support shared objectives.

We are looking for candidates with strong experience in grant-making and project management, who can work collaboratively as part of a remote team and who can demonstrate a clear interest in AHF’s mission to promote the conservation and sustainable re‑use of historic buildings for the benefit of communities across the UK. Applicants must also have strong numerical and written skills and confidence using common IT and office systems.

We are seeking to fill three FTE positions and one 0.5 FTE position to cover the Midlands, East of England, Yorkshire & Humberside and North East England so we are particularly keen to hear from applicants in these areas. All roles will be home-based.

Events and Community Coordinator - Remote (UK based) – 0.8FTE

• Salary: £30,000 for 0.8 FTE (£37,500 FTE equivalent) + 5% pension + 25 days holiday

The Role

As our Events and Community Coordinator, you will deliver a high-quality events programme while building strong, lasting relationships across a network of 400+ Fellows. You will play a central role in shaping how our community connects, contributes, and grows.

Working in a small, collaborative team, you will have real scope to shape the role, particularly as we build towards our 40th anniversary in 2027.

Professional Standards Education Officer (PSEO)
£24,000 pa plus excellent benefits (£40,000 FTE)

Are you an experienced acupuncture practitioner interested in joining the BAcC staff team in a key role that will help protect both practising acupuncturists and the public?

The Professional Standards Education Officer (PSEO) will be at the forefront of supporting BAcC members to work safely and manage the risks of their practice. You will also have a great positive impact on public protection and fostering trust across UK and global institutions in the practice of acupuncture.

This will be a varied role, involving all stages of developing and updating policy and communicating it to the membership. You will work as part of our wonderful team, alongside our Safe Practice Officer, Research and Policy Manager, and our Professional Conduct Officers. You will also act as a link with the BAcC’s insurer in-house risk and legal support and connect to professionals across other UK healthcare regulators.

As the Secretary to the Education Committee, you will support the BAcC’s newly integrated education and accreditation function and assist the Chair and committee in guiding the future of acupuncture accreditation in the UK.

It is anticipated that your time will be split approximately two days per week in the risk management and safe practice support role, and one day per week in the education support role. These two functions have great synergy; you will facilitate the key connection between the BAcC and college accreditation by transmitting risk mitigation strategies and taking college feedback on new risks to update policy.

The work will be varied and interesting and, most importantly, you will be able to make a huge and tangible difference to the community. It is an exciting time right now at the BAcC as we are transforming the way we work. We are moving from a passive repository of safe practice information to an evolving, active support service for members where they need it most. The work you do in this role will not only help other acupuncturists navigate difficult situations and avoid complaints, but it will enable them to be fully protected in the rare event that a claim or complaint comes in.

We seek candidates with:

Essential skills 

· strong written communication skills to simplify complex risk information and produce engaging content

· the ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and manage your own schedule in a mostly home-based role

Desirable skills

· experience in the provision of education at QAA level 6 or higher (including teaching or college administration)

· first-hand experience as a practitioner of acupuncture

Qualifications and Experience

• Some direct experience of working on policy issues in health, or a relevant sector, and a willingness to develop these skills further, alongside an interest in those issues affecting bowel cancer patients.
